This place is now my favorite spot to get a vegan brunch! Their vegan pancakes are easily the best I've ever had. I've also tried their vegan coffee cake and SAG sandwich (vegan sausage and "egg" sandwich) and they were so delicious. Their soy lattes are yummy too! If you're going to get a pastry, just make sure it's vegan first before you buy it (for example, their croissants are not vegan). The staff were very pleasant and friendly! I will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu :)

WHAT is all the fuss about the reuben? It consisted of a dry, tasteless slab of tempeh, sauerkraut, lettuce (?), and a thimblefull of "russian" dressing. Plus, they charge $1.75 for extra (i.e., sufficient) dressing: so petty. The Angelica cornbread was disgusting (was that rice in there?) and the Southern cornbread was meh at best. The Wrapsody was the best bet: great melange of tastes, textures and flavors. But at $10 it's a little steep for the tiny size with no accompaniment.

Worst of all, our waitress was unabashedly bored, aloof, apathetic, and invisible. Extremely disappointing.

I went here with my husband. I asked which crusts were vegan and we were told NONE OF THEIR CRUSTS ARE VEGAN because they all have HONEY in them. I think you should remove this restaurant.

This place was absolutely amazing. While Rawstar has some nut-based items it was an exception to the raw-food restaurant rule of heavy reliance. The man at the counter who was also the chef was super nice. We talked for a good while about how he wants to make raw vegan food accessible to all, which he is certainly help do with VERY reasonable prices. My friend and I got a appetizer, a main (which came with a salad & side), and dessert. We both walked away happily full and the check was about 26 dollars.

has reopened as coconut grove w/a diff owner and their veg thali is awful (no rasam/sambar to go with rice-just dal(lentils)). i'd rather gof for the dhabha buffet next door for a couple of extra$$

Ok so I thought I would treat myself this morning and stopped by for a large cup of coffee with hazelnut milk. I asked about vegan baked goods and they had two kinds of muffin and two kinds of cookie in stock, but I skipped and went straight for the coffee. I can drink nearly any cup put in front of me, but this just wasn't good. It was burnt but also old tasting (not to be confused wth cold). I only ended up drinking half the cup. The space is ok - I like the mirror and I imagine it will get a little better when they settle in, though the seating seems a little awkward toward the back. Awesome service though - people working there were crazy nice. So I would stop in if meeting up with a friend in the neighborhood, but otherwise...eh? Maybe I'll try again in a month? Try something more interesting? Really want to support this place.

I enjoyed the hearty breakfast scramble, but overall there were not as many vegan options as I would have expected.

FYI: vegan dairy substitutions are pricey and place is overall a little dark and dingy.

This was one of the more disgusting eating experiences of my life.

First I ordered a mojito, after asking to make sure it was made from real mint and lime and not from a mix. The server lied; no actual lime or mint ever touched this monstrosity. It was a nauseating combination of sugar, artificial flavor, and bad alcohol. I got a headache after two sips and couldn't finish it.

When it came time to order, I asked for tacos. Their menu mentions tofu sour cream, which was the only request my waiter understood. Their online menu mentions vegan cheese, but the waiter had no idea what "vegan" meant, so I gave up and said no to cheese. Then I asked whether the rice and beans were vegetarian--chicken stock in the rice? Pork in the beans? The waiter didn't know and didn't care to check. I was going to ask about dairy in the soft taco shell but didn't even bother.

So the "tofu tacos" arrived--a stale corn shell, a soggy soft shell, a few pathetic slivers of iceberg lettuce and cardboard tomato, and a few pieces of hardened tofu brushed with something like barbecue sauce. At least the rice and beans were sort of edible? I had about two bites and couldn't bring myself to continue. Yes, the prices were cheap, but what's the point if the food isn't even edible?

The inside is loud, dirty, and small, though the outdoor seating is large and off the street. If you're forced into it, go here for the location on a nice night and have a beer outside, but for the love of god, don't order their food or drink.

This is just the same old fake meat slathered in salty/sugary sauces that you get at Red Bamboo, Wild Ginger, and VP. The twist is the emphasis on Japanese cuisine, particularly the sushi made with fake raw meat, which is fun as a novelty but not particularly good as a food.

We tried Stogo a couple of weeks ago. The ice cream was really great, but the service and atmosphere left a lot to be desired.

We weren't greeted when we came in, and the place itself is very unwelcoming.

Another downside is the plastic. It's your only option there. They don't even offer cones.

Ice cream is really good, but that's about it.

We can't get enough of Lula's! The ice cream is delicious and creative. The atmosphere is fun. The staff is incredibly warm and friendly. This place is a total homerun!

On a side note, it's also really awesome that they don't appear to use plastic. All sampling spoons, in-house service cups and and even straws are glass or aluminum. Awesome!

Overall, you can't go wrong with Lula's.

We found the food overpriced, not particularly good, and the service was poor. The first time I ordered the frozen cookies with frosting in the middle sandwich, and the woman behind the counter actually threw it down on the counter. My wife got a cookie. Both were inferior to anything we could get at the grocery store.

We went back though, because we've heard so many good things, so we figured we'd give it another shot. Same high prices and unfriendly service. Then to top it off, WE SAW THEM SERVE COW'S MILK - even though they indicate on their website that they are 100% vegan!

I asked the woman behind the counter how they could serve cow's milk there while they claim to be 100% vegan, and she said simply that it's for the coffee. What kind of sense does that make?

Anyway, we won't be going back.

I had such a good brunch here last weekend that I had to leave a review. The farmhouse panini is hands down the best sandwich I have ever had. Counter is usually out of my price range but it was a nice treat to enjoy such attentive service and good food. I even made a meat eater a believer!

It closed and will reopen in Long Island at some point. They sold their lease to a non-vegetarian Bangladeshi Indian joint. The owner lives in Queens and wanted to have a better commute. This is a sobering event for me and my family and friends. Manny, we will miss your food!

The food should really receive a 4.5. They get a 5 for serving Stumptown and a 4 for the good vegan, but not great vegan muffin I ate this morning.

The space is beautiful and the owners are friendly and polite. They are pro-bike and invited me to bring my bike in whenever I feel the need. (You can park your bike at the back of the shop.) Expect a bike rack out front soon.

Blossom is amazing!!!! i go there at least 2 times every week. the food is awesome, the fake meet and cheese and chicken and stuff is totally amazing!!! i love this place!!!

Finally tried the "real" food here after many visits for brunch and dessert.

The Morroccan Tempeh entree was outstanding, and the black eyed pea cakes were delicious as always, albeit a little different than Blossom. The Fettucini Alfredo was very good even though I'm not a fan of fettucini in general. The burger was delicious, but mushy and served on toast instead of a bun (boo).

Fries were good, cajun sweet potato fries not as spicy as expected, potato salad good, and cole slaw terrific.

Overall I'd have to say that while Chelsea Blossom's menu is smaller, the offerings are more suited to my tastes and I found the staff to be much friendlier.
