Collingwood's superior fitness allowed it to kick away with 5 goals in the last quarter.
The game followed the familiar pattern of the Hawks v Swans semi-final. Hawthorn swarming the defence & removing the Pies ability to score. Particularly through long high balls pumped into the forward 50. Dean Cox. Rib injury a massive headache. Selected in team, but against Melbourne could see lots of bench time. Unknown how his recovery will be. Could drag down his stellar 2011. May even be a finals dud.
Geelong. Chapman & Corey named on bench for walk in the park against Adelaide. One of them named as sub? Matthew Lobbe is a definite option, being a Forward/Ruck. Can be used to move other Forward/Rucks (eg Petrie) around due to big injuries in the ruck department. Scores of 78 & 118 in his first 2 games of 2011 is a huge plus.

Sandilands out for 4 weeks with a toe injury. Mumford a late withdrawal, listed as a knee injury.
Trade out or cover with cheaper players? Both Sandilands & Mumford have been too good this year to trade. Cover with Zac Smith ($293k, exp rise of $34k this week), or Cam Wood ($279k) if already on your bench.

If he is to be a cash cow, it is recommended to trade him out now. His last score of 12 (due to injury mid-game) will hurt his price for his next two games.
Paul Chapman will dip in price also over the next week or so. Look to upgrade cheaply at some point.

Looking for value picks is the key to SuperCoach success at this moment.
Faith must be maintained in the premium picks made pre-season. There should be no reason to alter them. In addition, it is the 2nd bye round of SuperCoach. No point making big trades until the head to head match-ups begin again - AFL Round 7.

Ruck:
Zac Smith. A ruck boon. Definite choice 3rd ruckman. Spends alot of time in the forward line. A skilful athlete too. Must have to plug the gaps in ruck due to byes.
Tom Bellchambers. Doing a great job as the 3rd ruckmen at Essendon. How many more games he will get is largely dependent on David Hille remaining injured. Bye rounds are huge in SuperCoach 2011. Much planning must be put around them. For the first 3 rounds, Gold Coast, North Melbourne & Adelaide have byes. This means players will take an extra week to jump in price. Picking rookies / cheap players from these teams to start the season is less important. An extra week is given to check out the goods.
