Day 1 - FaceBook Withdrawal

2012-02-15T07:38:00.000-06:00

I've cut myself off from Facebook. It wasn't easy, but I did it. Due to the fact that I am taking 21 credits right now, I do not need any distractions. To help "ease" my Facebook withdrawal, I've deciding to go back to blogging. My goal is to stay off of Facebook for 4 months or at least for personal reasons. But I will occasionally check out my husband's photography page.

The Opportunity that was missed....

2012-02-05T17:37:00.000-06:00

When I was still single and living with my parents, I did not have the opportunity to go off to college in a different city or state. Why? Because other girls ruined it for me. My parents believed that girls go off to college just to party. I really do feel sad about it till this day because I missed that opportunity and I know that I'm not the only one. Those who ruined it? They are off at college, partying away, and not realizing that THEY are the reason why traditional parents won't let the first generation girls go off to college.

Just my two-cents.

"This is my entry to the “Holiday Party à la YesStyle” contest at http://www.yesstyle.com/blog/”.

My outfit was inspired by www.yesstyle.com, but specifically by this adorable model on this link: http://www.yesstyle.com/en/info.html/pid.1025843499

Definitely chose leggings for my boots because of the model.
Shoes are from: http://www.yesstyle.com/en/info.html/pid.1025033560

My husband recently bought me the sweater and boots from www.yesstyle.com for Christmas.

I love relaxing with my husband. We love face masks! =D

I caught the cutie using my Queen Helene Mint Julep. LOL

Who said that Maxi dresses were only for Spring and Summer?

This is one of my favorite maxis that I own. Husband wanted to take fall pictures. =)

Wisconsin does not have long Autumns, so I had to take advantage of what was going on around me. The leaves are so beautiful right now.

Toodles.

Ways to save for college

2011-09-27T14:59:00.004-05:00

Open a Upromise account! I never thought about that until recently. If you guys shop online a lot, you may as well open up an account to earn money for college.

Here is my Upromise account. Feel free to shop using my linking. You'll be contributing to my college fund. =D

H2O Water-Activated Eye Makeup Remover

2011-09-20T00:50:00.002-05:00

I was intrigued by this "water-activated" eye makeup remover when I was T.J.Maxx.

I did put it to the test right away when I got home. My problem is with my eyeliners. It usually stays put even after removing the rest of my eye makeup.

For review purposes, I used extra eyeliner. I used the Milani Liquif'EYE. For those who use Milani Liquif'EYE, you all know how potent that eyeliner is. It's dark and will stay on.

^ Right ^ ^ Left ^

Me after using the eye makeup remover. It did an "ok" job. It was great at removing mascaras by itself but not so great with eyeliners. As you can see, the right side still has eyeliner residues while the left side has nothing. I did use you coats of mascara before hand. It did a great job at removing my "eyebrows" too.

I rate this product a 3 out of 5.

Great at removing eye shadows and mascaras.

Not so great at removing eyeliners. I had to use a q-tip afterwards with some of my Sonia Kashuk removers.

I have my own LAPTOP now!

2011-09-17T01:39:00.000-05:00

I finally got a new laptop now that I'm going back to school! *Cheers*

I'm hoping to be able to update my blog more often now that I have my own "computer". I haven't decided if I'm going to sell my iPad or not. My husband doesn't really want me to but we'll see!

Anyway, It is super late and I need to go wash off the cake from my face. GOOD NIGHT! =D

School AGAIN

2011-09-07T02:24:00.002-05:00

I was looking for scholarships and came across this! LOL

Going Back to school!

2011-09-02T11:20:00.001-05:00

Sorry, I've been M.I.A. for the last month.

Sad excuse, I've been really busy. I'm going back to school and that has been STRESSING me out. I just bought a new car, a Kia Optima LX 2011. I'm loving it!

I've been super stressed out about money but I know that we'll get through this. I just really need to find a way to make money, ASAP!

I'm thinking about selling my antique cameras and Logan Slide Viewer No. 210.

Let me know if you know anyone that is interested. =D

I'm BACK!

2011-08-13T17:00:00.000-05:00

I'm back from Vacation!

I recently traveled to Florida to visit my parent-in-laws. The heat totally ruined my experience. We went to MANY places! Honestly, it was too hot to do my makeup! BB Cream all the way! (I still got a "slight" tan.)

My Husband and I at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. It was 10 dollars after 5PM, so we had to take advantage of the deal!

--------------------

Real Life Transformers?!!! This was so cool!

-----------------

We also went to Clearwater Beach. It was such a beautiful beach!

But.....once we got onto the pier, it started raining, HARD. We got stuck on it for 30 minutes.

-------------

My mother-in-law's rice field was ready to "pick", so we helped her out. It was a lot of hard work because it was so hot!

My sister-in-law and I. (Puj laug)

All of us working hard!

As a Hmong daughter-in-law, you just have to bear the heat with a smile. (Even if you don't want to do something.)

Vaca

2011-06-30T22:05:00.000-05:00

Will be going on Vacation to MN. Keep tabs on me on twitter if you'd like. :)

Tournament, here I come!

Photo gigs.

2011-06-18T13:08:00.000-05:00

My husband had a photo shoot with some younger clients on Wednesday. It was such a cloudy and rainy day that I almost thought it was going to cancel....BUT, it was not cancelled! He made it work!

One of gals were going to move to California, so they decided to take the pictures together before she left.

Quality isn't too great because I took these off his website.

-------------------

While I was at work yesterday, he took his nieces to go take pictures!

I thought these were so darling! =D

I love these girls! =D

RED LIPS ARE.....

Beautiful.

You can manipulate your lips and make them look fuller. =)

Organizing and Redecorating!

2011-06-11T20:17:00.000-05:00

We're finally redecorating our apartment!

Today we went to go buy a new Futon because our old one was getting "flat". Instead of the tan color, we go gray/blue. We're also getting rid of the birdies that are usually in the background of my pictures. I'm thinking about moving them. Maybe I'll post up pictures later. It's not quite complete yet!

By the way, tomorrow is our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! =D

He looked so scrubby but it's ok! =D I love you!

WORK OUT!

2011-06-02T12:39:00.001-05:00

I'm going to try this!

I'm pretty small to begin with. I range from sizes 2-4. I'm typically as 26. (I think!) I guess you can say that I'm pretty busty for my petite size lower D, but a good bra that sucks in your knockers can help you fit into shirts better!

I'd just like to be toned! I'd love to see my abs! =D I just feel "flubby". I do have days where I feel BIGGER. haha. But don't we all?

I've been researching for a good fitness guru and I think I've found my match! I just love how she looks! She's so toned! I don't want to be "skinny". I want to have some kind of definition.

Maybe...more defined arms? Abs? A nicer, less cellulite-y toosh? Nicer legs?

Ugh, I need to eat more protein.... T_T. The anemic me needs it!

I'm getting off track! Sorry! Zuzana is so inspirational! I *love* her!

Check out her website at http://www.bodyrock.tv/

I'm so out of shape! HAHAHA! But at least I'm not in denial! =D I'd like to tone my ABS, ARMS, and LEGS! Good luck to me!

When there's a mini trip, there's a mini haul.

2011-05-31T01:19:00.000-05:00

This past weekend, I went to Green Bay, through Appleton, and to Oshkosh.

As some of you may or may not know, Hmong people are so into "tournaments". I went with my in-laws to go support my brother-in-law; he's a flag football player from the Bomb Squad team. My sister-in-law and her husband just recently moved to MN a couple of weeks ago from AZ. I'm so glad they are closer to us now! She's such a fun person to be around with and actually laughs at my jokes when my husband doesn't. (LMBO)

My S-I-L Yee and I went through the whole tournament in Green Bay to look for treasures. I found my treasures in various booths. I found so many accessories! I usually just go to tournaments for food but not this time! And I actually bought two of those Thai Mistine BB powders! I just love their packagings! =)

This brace is so awesome! It was $1.50. I bought one for myself and my sis.

I love CAMEO rings! It was 3 for $5

Domo was $3

I bought 3 for $5.

I guess I went on a hair band frenzy.

I love this necklace because it looks chic yet Ethnic.

Rings were $1 a piece

I got this from a vendor and told her that I wasn't from around Green Bay and she gave me a discount. I only paid 6 bucks for everything instead of $9! LOL, I love negotiations!

My sissy Yee bought me this wallet and these hair bands for me! Thanks sis! Love ya!

I saw this and said "I GOTTA HAVE IT!"

This was for the bigger box. I love how it looks!

I realized that I only bought a refill for this one... T_T

Stopped by the mall in Green bay and went to Kohl's and Old Navy. Old Navy is having an AWESOME sale now. You receive 50% off marked down items, so you bet, I had some great deals! My sis, Yee bought me a pair of pants from Kohl's. We're so Asian, we try to pay for things before the other person does. We're constantly trying to pay before the other person pays. LOL.

Cute Rompers that I found for $5.24

Shorts were $5.49 each

I love this dress! It was only $7.25

We also went to the tournament in Oshkosh too, but I didn't really buy anything from there. Appleton was where I hit the JACKPOT! They built a Sephora there! I didn't know that! I walked into the Mall and my expression was "WHAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT?!!!!!!!!" Catching my hubby, brother-in-law James, and S-I-L Yee by surprise! I probably scared them with my reaction to things. LOL. I didn't buy anything in there but I did spot 5 URBAN DECAY Naked palettes in there. I already have mine but I was tempted to buy some just to sell on Ebay or something, but I passed. I went into Macy's to the MAC counter to get a new Pro Longwear Foundation in NC 20 because NC 15 is getting a little bit too light for me since winter is done and over with. (I THINK! Wisconsin, it can snow at anytime!) I also stopped by the Body Shop to get a Hydrating toner because I was running low on mine.

Happy Shoppings!

The Photo shoot with Keng and Bao

2011-05-27T01:16:00.001-05:00

This lovely couple volunteered to be our models for my husband's photography website. I was able to kind of help my husband with the lightings. (I was the reflector holder, LOL)

High waters are cool? WHUUUT?!

2011-05-27T00:44:00.000-05:00

Apparently they are in Asia!

No kidding! I seriously feel that Asia is waaaaaay ahead in style. (Not to be bias, eh.... what am I talking about, I am! hehe!)

Do you guys remember seeing Lee Min Ho wearing a lot of "ankle length" pants in Personal Taste? That man can totally pull it off!

Ok, I totally took this from his F.B. page. But you see what I mean? He rocks it!

Here's another picture of him in the drama Personal Taste

I'm not saying that you should go buy your man some high waters but if you do, try websites like yesstyle.com. They have a lot of pants on there that are labeled as "ankle length" or "cropped" pants.

Here's the link.
