The next great (currently below the radar) LA quartet that I think is going to pop off in a SUPERGOOD way is Mind The Gap. As evidenced by their new single "Hero" - they capture the fusion of electronic dance in a way that feels like an indie ballad is being mashed up with a slamming house track by your favorite DJ. Hero even feels like A-Trak's remix of Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Heads Will Roll"...SUPERGOODMUSIChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05821543073191516824noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-947782820848740833.post-56338111010687943922013-08-29T13:13:00.000-07:002013-08-29T13:13:10.396-07:00Moderat + Tokimonsta = Thursday Turn UpClub Nokia and Los Angelenos get a special treat tonight when Moderat - the esteemed collaboration of Modoselektor and Apparat - unleashes that good sort of filth as Thursday turns to Friday. The deeply emotional ballad belted by the beautiful Andrea Adolph is enhanced by dramatic accordion and perfectly peppered ivory and ebony.
The clap breakdown is charming and cute, as is these seemingly young artists opining about how true love waits. &SUPERGOODMUSIChttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05821543073191516824noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-947782820848740833.post-48495027690332760612013-08-15T03:57:00.000-07:002013-08-22T12:33:20.639-07:00Guitar Center's Get Out of the Garage Contest
