Healing Miracles at Disneyland!

A group of young disciples pray for healing for random people at Disneyland. Jesus starts healing and touching hearts. They realize how much he loves them and they begin to feel how close he really is. Joy breaks out. People start giving their lives to Jesus.

I was recently having hopeless thoughts about doing the Lord’s work. Sometimes you pray for healing and nothing seems to happen. Sometimes someone does get healed or a miracle happens, yet the person isn’t very excited or interested in Jesus. You tell them of the great news of Father’s love and grace, how he his everything they have been searching for, yet they are indifferent and don’t really care.

The work seems too big. There are too many people, and not many seem interested. So why keep going if I don’t seem to be making a difference?

Then I felt Jesus speaking to me, “Why are you doing this? Are you doing this because you are trying to make a difference, or are you doing this because you love me and it’s what I have asked you to do?”
“As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy,drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8

Forgive me, Jesus, for making it about me again. It’s all about you and your kingdom. I will continue to obey because I love you and this is what you have asked of us. You are the Lord of the harvest.

I am disturbed. We are at war right now. A war where the losers don’t lose their homes or land or possessions. No, in this war the losers lose their souls. We spend so much time and effort taking care of ourselves. Through workshops, conventions, meetings, worship concerts, etc.. Don’t get me wrong, these things are good, but how much of our time, effort, and money is spent telling people about the Kingdom and adding to God’s army? Sure, we say, “We have outreach programs we have charities”.

If you feel we do enough then I challenge you with this: How many are made slaves to and enlisted to satan’s army? The devil is way busier than us and many of us are even unknowingly working part-time for him.

It’s time to shift our priorities, church. It’s getting worse and worse out there. Lord Jesus help us to be bigger than ourselves. Help us to become true disciples. Where in the Bible does it say that only the original twelve could perform signs and wonders in His name? We have the power through Him!

Believe and become fishers of men!
