Someone's birthday is coming up!!!

Since the love of my life's birthday is on winter. I don't really know what to plan on his incoming birthday. It so boring to held it inside the house, or even too expensive to rent a place that you won't even enjoy because it was set to how many hours you need to pay. I still debating if I am going to give him a kid's party at the house on his exact birthday or just go out with hubby for a dinner. A family dinner will be done on Sunday the day before his birthdate. I want to take videos so he could see his childhood when he grows up and can even showed it to his kids and grand kids.

However, thinking about the invites if I'll be able to do that. I must have look for a cheap printing services now. I don't have much time left for it is only less than 1 week. If we want it now, I better send out the invites on Monday.

Like I said, I am not sure if I will do that or just simply dinner with the immediate family at my Mother in law's place.

Good to sip soup when it is cold

When I was still in the Philippines before, my parents used to cooked soupy meals for the family. Because we find the weather is cold, we need some food that will help us warm ourselves without wearing layers and layers of clothes. So stew is always serve during this kind of weather.

Now that I am here in US and we have four seasons in a year. I would love to make a soupy foods to serve with my family. My son loves stew foods and rice. And today, I got a chicken soup recipe got on a website this website that is popular on making Filipino dish. It was great, we did enjoy the food I made that day.

Before I was really thinking that Chinese New Year falls into a specific date just like the way we used on our calendar. Fortunately, Chinese have their own calendar and that basis their new year celebration. I always thought that Chinese New Year do falls on the month of February, however I was way too wrong. They base their New Year Celebration on the full month of the month. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is what I can recall they based it. I have to double check and will update this blog for correction. Those who know more than I do, please don't hesitate to tell me so I could update this blog.

For Chinese People all over the world, Just want to greet you all a Happy New Year and this is their Year of Dragon. Wish us all happiness and wealth and luck.

First made Coconut Cream Pie

I was craving for something that my Mother in law made one time. However, she didn't made this dessert for a very long time, so I want to eat and couldn't wait for her to make it anymore. So, one night while we have our Sunday dinner at her place. I asked her for her recipe about the Coconut Cream pie. She was so excited to share me her family recipe. Got the recipe scanned and copied at my brother in law's computer.

It took me weeks before I dare to bake. I was hesitant because I have never bake anything out from a scratch. My weakness is failing, and don't want to waste the ingredients that I didn't buy just to make coconut Cream pie. I told myself, I have to do this and make sure that I read, and follow directions and instructions.

I am happy with the outcome of the baking afternoon. Good thing my son wasn't in the bad mood to bother me while I am concentrating on making the very first coconut cream pie. As you can see from the picture below, this is the baked coconut cream pie. The crust-pie itself is way too small from the amount of the fillings I shoved in there. It doesn't look very presentable, however I was so proud to share this here and even on the social networking where I am subscribe.

Aside from my own personal freebies, I also subscribe to kids freebies where I could try for my son. It is something that he can try or learn out from the freebies I sign up under my name. It is like a skate ramps that soon enough when he is older enough, he will be able to get hook into it too. I am sure that I won't be agreeing to his decision but sometimes, in order for our kids to learn, we have to support them and make sure we are behind them to help them understand the failure they had.

I am thankful for every blessings that comes in my life. I am lucky as well of having a second family in US who are as sweet as candies. They are so thoughtful and generous. That's why another year of my life were surprised when they have presents for me during my last year's birthday. Something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. I am very happy to have all these gifts and I did enjoyed them.

These are the cookies my mother in law gave us on our way home. It was pretty good we did enjoy every bite of them. I am not really fun of cookies unless they have nuts in it. This wasn't but yet I munched the whole thing. We love it and it never took days before we finished the whole bowl.

This kind of goodies is good to eat specially when you are reading about communication textbooks. Something that you put in your mouth while understanding the whole textbook.

My Coconut macaroons

One of the best food that I wanted to eat all the time is coconuts. Something that has coconuts in it is what makes my day. While I was still in Philippines, I don't need to make them, because someone can make it for me. Or I could go to the store and buy a ready to eat one. However, back here it is not as common as in my hometown. So, I have to make sure that I mastered them, in order to cook those foods that I love to eat.

I am glad that my husband loves coconuts too, so it is me and him who shares the fruit of my labor. I am also happy to learn different kinds of recipes from friends online and from the sources online. Here I am, showing you the coconut macaroons that I made last year. A good friend of mine also shares her recipe with me so here it is. I do enjoy the taste of these coconut macaroons because it is not so sweet that hurts my throat after eating five pieces in a row.

That is right. I was dying to make Chopsuey from scratch. Meaning, I have to cut/chopped all those vegetables and spices into a certain size and shape.

It was my birthday when I decided to made one. I was so proud of myself after I finished cooking and it turned out delicious and as what I wanted it to be.

I only picked out those vegetables that I ate to put in the mixtures, that way I won't waste any at all.

I can't wait to make another one on my son's birthday this February. Maybe I'll invite my husband's family for a dinner at home. A very simple dinner birthday celebration for our son

This is another set of the freebies I got one day. As I mentioned before, I got addicted into signing up for a freebies and it is great to get something that could at least help you out with the money you spend with the grocery. Although, the freebies isn't a full bulk to get at least getting them one at a time makes us save a little.

There are so many legitimate websites where you could sign up for a freebies. But you also see that you are not giving out your full information for we have to beware with an identity theft.

Also there are websites that might interest you. If you would like to know about financial instead. spread betting is what I can ask you to go for that.

What makes the noise too early in the morning

I was wondering what was those noise came from so early in the morning. This was way back early Fall. I have seen these men at work. They are racking the leaves in the middle of the street to clean the road. Yes! They do that every year. They help us to clean those dry leaves from our trees. Since, we can't burn them in where we live. They have to make sure that they will take the leaves and dispose them. I don't know how will they do that, but I am sure it is something related to environmental safety. I was waiting and watching the men-at-work so I could steal some pictures while they are working, however I guess I wasn't lucky enough to capture one of them. It took hours and hours for them to clean the whole street. And after the whole cleaning everything is spotless, meaning they have watched the side of the street and makes sure it is neat before Winter comes.

My Birthday Cake!!!!

This is my second family in USA. Since I moved here last 2008, they were always been there for me. They knew how hard for me to be far from my own family in Philippines, so the filled those empty spaces in my heart. The longing to be with my family, aside from my own family now during my birthday celebration.

It was another memorable birthday for me. I didn't know that they have cake for me. Everyone is singing the Happy Birthday Song. And they brought out my family cheesecake.

I never wanted to compare anything that happened to me here and while I was still in Philippines. However, having your own mother during your birthday would definitely different. She gave birth to you and it would make her proud to see me all so grown up and had a family. Maybe she'll give me some nice pearls jewelry. Yet, something that would remind me that she gave this on my birthday. Getting a nice freshwater pearls jewelry is something I would like to have someday.

However, since I haven't been married in the church, maybe I could ask my mother for a pearl bridal jewelry as a gift that would match my bridal gown too.

Overall, I am still thankful for all the blessings God has showered upon me. Because, I am really blessed to have it all.

Now that Christmas and New Year were over. It is time for us to share what we got during the holidays. My friends from the different state gave me this gifts. I am thankful for having such a thoughtful friends, who never forget to share their blessings. I don't have much to give for them because due to unemployed we are in much money tight lately. We have to make sure that we bought the prioritized things for the renovation of the house we soon be moving in. And to give credit to my friends Fritzie and Anna thank you. Also, Allen, Tess and Ella who gave gifts to me and my son. Didn't get the chance to take pictures of their gifts because I didn't have time to lay them down and take pictures.

Singing Summer Time

That is right!!! Hubby loves to sing too. We love to sing duet together and it makes me feel great as well. This was taken during my birthday last month. Thanks to my sister in law who stayed the whole night for a little bit of karaoke.

You might be wondering what is Singing Bowl? They are those instruments that usually used in play or in an occasion. I was also wondering myself if there is such bowl that actually sing by itself? So when I came to this questions, I research it online what is a singing bowl? And there, I found so many questions that help me understand and appreciate. One thing I like about this bowls is they make such a loud sound that will be heard if you were far. The sound is not as irritating, instead it is a suiting sound. It reminds me of the Gong I used to heard when I was still in Philippines. Muslims often used them not only for entertainment but also for other things. I also remembered when I was in High School we did rent Gong and used them into one of our play. It was so much fun.

Babytalk magazine, CVS 25 pcs of 4x6 photos

Thanks to freebies I have a lot of things to do while being unemployed. So many things to learn on this world in order to be updated. Today's free stuff was a Babytalk magazine and a 25 pcs 4.x6 prints from CVS. Because, I took so many pictures of my first born son. I need to produce a hard copy and make sure I sorted them all. Which once to be print from among thousands I have. I finally started ordering a copy online with the big help of this freebie prints. Although, 25 pieces only that is a big help to reduce the volume of pictures I have on my hard drive.

After reading babytalk magazine, I found great article in the magazine and it did help me with my son. How to deal with things, and how to handle them as well. It also hits me about how they knew all this stuff. Maybe I can share some of my experiences, in order to help other mother's with their kids. I'm sure writing isn't easy, however we are still lucky for there are essay service that can be find nowadays. Home Lightning

The new place we are moving....is under renovation....

This is the future living room we will be having once this is done. We have to renovate some part of the area for safety purposes. We have to make sure that we have enough light to light up the whole living room. Since I am in-charge with the home lighting, I have some ideas in mind about this room. I want to make sure that we have a brighter light in the middle of this place. I don't like lamps for it is shadowy and I get paranoid with it. I never was used with using lamps at all. Besides, having a brighter light in the living room makes everything looks whiter and clearer.

Pretty messy, however lately it was all cleared up because some of the debris were already thrown in the garbage and some of the items were given as well as kept in the box and pile them. I haven't got any update picture but I will for sure the next time hubby show us the place.

I just want to share our Trick or Treat candies for the kids who will going to knocked on our door. I know this is way too behind from the season, however, I would still like to share them for you. It's a mixture I snacked some candy too because it is way too tempting to just look at them. My son had so much fun when giving out these candies to the kids. Inspite of not going out to Trick or Treat due to a bad weather condition, it seems he had fun seeing different kids with their adorable customs on too. One I like that most here is tootsie roll, some were just way too sticky and gums were not my type. I did enjoyed them as well.

First day of Snow

I really thought this day will be the start of a stocked snow outside the house. It was the first day it snow here. I think it was early October. However, it didn't last because every time it reached the ground it melts right away. It was really cool to see snow for awhile that time. Poor trees it has still lots of leaves on their branches. Probably they were not ready for winter yet.

If you noticed mostly trees has still leaves on their branches. It must be really cold for them too. I was excited for a while and then I begun thinking about snow skiing. I want to try them. Experience in my life since I am not pregnant anymore. It is about time for me to try different snow sports.

Maybe we will set up a date for that. Hopefully, before winter ends I could at least try snow skiing.

Still at the Park

This is really a nice shot from the pictures I have taken that day at the park. I was so happy to see that the outcome of Gentle Sepia is good to this view. It is look like from an old movie doesn't it? I am really inspired from the photography my friends share on their pages. It makes me want to dive in to a warm swimming pool. Of course I do need a pool supplies in order to have more fun while in the water. I can't wait for the next entry I am going to share in this page.
