We are searching for a nature-friendly place near Metro Manila, since my foreigner brother in-law wanted to see more trees where at least he could walk and have fresh air. Although we know about Lamesa Eco Park in Quezon City, it is still a long drive since we leave near Makati. He has been to Tagaytay and also in some resorts in Rizal.

Since he just wanted a small drive we decided to visit Island Cove in Cavite although he has seen the place previously. Fortunately, Cavitex road which is the new express way to Kawit, Cavite is already finished. This is the faster and more efficient way to reach Island Cove,   although toll fees are also applied, we have reached the place in less than an hour.

If you want fresh food to eat and a place where foreigners will like, Fishing Village inside the Island Cove is the one of the best experiences you can consider as an option. You can do fishing also hopefully, the resort will use ph meter to the fishing area to avoid fish kills since the weather today is unpredictable.

Thankfully, we made my brother and sister in-laws’ vacation in the Philippines complete.

Filipinos are so welcoming. This is a trait that most of the foreigners observe every time they have a visit the family of their wives in the Philippines, or n when a member of their wives’ family would come home from abroad. Almost all family members are fetching from the airport aside from the husband, wife, children and in-laws.

When the time comes for you to be back, you will need a leather repair for your bags because they have become full of gifts. This is very true for my family because every time I visit in the province, I tend to bring big bags although there are less things inside of it. It’s for anticipation of gifts, si I try to avoid over baggage when we return to Metro Manila.

We are so glad to celebrate our family reunion and summer break  in Taal Vista Hotel. Three days and two nights of stay seemed too short for a nice place like it. Consider the supper hot temperature in Metro Manila averaging to 36 degrees. Imagine my niece who is used to a cold temperature in Belgium and  she never tried to wear shorts and sleeveless shirt in that country.

Going to Taal Vista Hotel is a good experience. You can’t go wrong in recommending it to your family living abroad and having them have a family vacation here in the Philippines. Aside from the place, the services is also great even if the hotel is also owned by (Shoe Mart) SM who recently has an environmental issue in Baguio. I am happy to know that it is are using recycled water for the maintenance of its garden plants. Hope that the resorts in Tagaytay will soon be all environment friendly.  Unlike those we heard from what is happening in some resorts in Boracay. Because of lack sewerage program in the Island and if not properly addressed, we will see people pushing drums with their drum trucks in disposing their waste. We will see the island floating in waste.

Many of us are collecting trophies from many competitions we are into. Any sports or any achievements have its trophies. But for me, my son Kyle is my most priceless trophy. Yesterday was his eighth year in this world and no amount of achievements can compare to someone coming from our Almighty Father Yahweh as gift for my wife and I. We pray that we can continue to give him the best of life that he can possibly have.

I am sure that almost every one of us has comfort food. It can be food which we feel can alleviate our craving. Sometimes we do not know why we love to eat it. During my younger years, eggs were favorite be it scrambled or sunny side up. That would already be enough for me. After a tiring and stressful day, after removing my Marcus nurse uniform then. Even only a cold rice and egg will do for me. But now if I don’t know what to cook for lunch and dinner, then the grilled chicken from Chick Boy gives me comfort. The unlimited rice, the secret sauce, chicken oil and hot soup address my craving.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority MMDA has given some safety guidance and reminders to traveling motorists to make sure everything goes safe before people go on road trips. BLOWBAGETS means battery, lights, oil, brakes, air pressure, gas, early warning devices, tools and self. But for those motorcycle riders,  they are being reminded to make sure they wear the  best body armors and helmets. It may not exactly be the hjc motorcycle helmets and expensive ones, but at least manufacturer and brand passed safety features in using helmets. But don’t forget to bring money during travel and especially our driver license.

Every time my family and I would visit the Sierra Madre Mountain Resort in Rizal especially on  weekend, we would notice motorcycle riders and groups also going there. No wonder motorcycle riders fall in love with the place. Aside from the good condition of the road, it is curvy with lots of beautiful spots to stop for a while. It is also windy and cold in that place. I am sure there will be no need for them to have the best motorcycle gps just to visit that place.

Restaurant stopovers are also available, serving hot soups and best foods for the traveling enthusiasts.
