for your baby's health. If you decide to give your baby a pacifier, follow
these tips to prevent the risk:

1. 1. Pacifiers should not be used as the
first line of defense.

A change of position or a rocking session can sometimes help
to calm a crying baby. Only give your baby a pacifier after or between
feedings.

Select
a one-piece, dishwasher-safe option. Pacifiers with two pieces can become
a choking hazard if they break.

Allow your baby to set the pace. Don't force the pacifier
on your baby if he or she isn't interested.

4. 4. Maintain a clean
environment. Boil pacifiers or run them through the dishwasher on a regular basis until your baby is 6 months old and his or her immune system has matured.
Pacifiers should be washed with soap and water after 6 months. Resist the urge
to "rinse" the pacifier in your mouth. You'll just end up spreading
more germs to your baby.

5. 5. Don't sugarcoat
anything. Don't put anything sweet on the pacifier.

6. 6. Keep it secure.
Pacifiers should be replaced on a regular basis and in the appropriate size for
your baby's age. Keep an eye out for signs of deterioration. Pacifier clips
should also be used with caution. Never tie a pacifier to a string or strap
that is long enough to become entangled around your baby's neck.

T

beneficial until the early 1900s when an anti-pacifier movement spread fears
that their use led to poor hygiene and indulgent behavior. According to scientific
research, here are the risks of pacifiers:

1. Your baby may become dependent on the pacifier.

If your baby sleeps with a pacifier, you may experience
middle-of-the-night crying spells if the pacifier falls out of your baby's
mouth.

2. Pacifier use may increase your baby's risk of middle ear
infections.

However, rates of middle ear infections are generally lowest
between the ages of birth and 6 months, when the risk of SIDS is highest and
your baby may be most interested in a pacifier.

3. Prolonged pacifier use may result in dental
issues.

Normal pacifier use in
the first few years of life does not usually result in long-term dental

newborn, and it is most commonly manifested by sucking the hands and fingers.
The pacifier, also known as a "dummy," has long been used to satisfy
this innate desire.

Pacifiers are the key to contentment for some babies in
between feedings. Here are the benefit
of pacifiers:

A pacifier can help a fussy
baby relax. Some babies enjoy sucking on something the most.

A pacifier serves as a
temporary distraction. A pacifier may be helpful before and after shots,
     blood tests, or other procedures.

A pacifier may assist your
baby in falling asleep. If your baby has trouble falling asleep, a
     pacifier may help.

A pacifier may alleviate
flight discomfort. Babies cannot "pop" their ears by swallowing
or yawning to relieve ear pain caused by changes in air pressure. Sucking
on a pacifier may be beneficial.

A pacifier may help
reduce the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Sucking on a
pacifier during naps and at bedtime may reduce the risk of SIDS. Pacifiers
are discarded. When it's time to stop using pacifiers, you can throw them
away. If your child prefers to suck on his or her thumb or fingers,
breaking the habit may be more difficult.

Aside from their benefits, using pacifier have several risks for babies. In the next article, We will analyze the risk of pacifiers.

When the baby appears to want to suck, offer the breast instead of a pacifier. Allow your newborn two to four weeks to learn to breastfeed before introducing a pacifier or bottle.

2.Watch your baby for hunger cues and try to breastfeed before
your baby gets upset.

If your baby is already very hungry, they will most likely be upset, making breastfeeding more difficult. If you notice any of these common hunger cues, try to breastfeed your baby right away.

3.Express a little milk before offering the breast to your baby.

If your baby is used to the quick and constant flow of milk from a bottle, they may become frustrated with the breast.

Manually express or use a pump to allow your milk to drain. Then, allow your baby to latch on so they can be rewarded with breast milk right away.

If possible, try expressing milk directly into your baby's mouth to make them eager to nurse.

.4.Adjust your breastfeeding positions.

• To make it easier for your baby to nurse, lie back with your baby on your stomach. Your baby will feel supported and close to you, making it easier for them to feed.

Try the cradle hold, which involves laying the baby horizontally in front of you while supporting their body. Experiment with various breastfeeding positions until you find the one that your baby prefers.

5.Check your baby's latch to
ensure they're sucking effectively.

• When you bring your baby to your breast, make sure their mouth is wide open so they can take in more of the areola.

You'll soon hear swallowing if the baby's latch is good. Mothers should pay attention to the following things as a sign that the baby is confused about the nipples.

If a baby tries to breastfeed in the same way that they bottle feed, they may do the following:

• fail to open their mouth wide enough during the latch (in this case, they won't get much milk and their mother's nipples will be very sore)

• become dissatisfied that their mother's milk isn't available right away because it takes a minute or two of sucking to activate the let-down reflex.

With an older baby, the last scenario may be an issue. One example is a baby whose mother's milk is less readily available due to a change in schedule, such as returning to work.

Breastfeeding for longer periods of time may reduce your milk supply, so mothers should be aware about this nipple confusion condition

Sciences, these are the
mechanics of breastfeeding:

1.A newborn opens their mouth quite widely to properly latch on to the breast so that the nipple and a significant portion of the areolar tissue can reach deeply inside.

2.The infant's gums compress the areola and their tongue travels rhythmically from front to back to pull out milk. •

3.The baby utilizes their tongue and lower jaw to do two things at once: hold the breast tissue in place against the roof of their mouth, and create a trough between the nipple and the areola.

The same technique is not required when drinking from a bottle. Because of gravity, milk will flow no matter what a baby does.

1. When a baby feeds from a bottle, they don't have to open their mouth wide or create a tight seal with properly turned-out lips.

2.They don't have to draw a bottle nipple deeply into their mouth, and there's no need for the back-to-front milking action of the tongue.

3.They can suck only with their lips or "gum" on the rubber nipple.

The difference in the position of breastfeeding and drinking milk from a bottle will cause nipple confusion in babies

their infants exclusively for the first six months or so, then to continue
breastfeeding while introducing complementary foods for at least a year.

According to WHO guidelines, breastfeeding should be done exclusively for the
first six months of a child's life and then be continued together with
complementary foods until the child is two years old or older.

It's important to urge mothers to breastfeed their kids for at
least a year. An infant is better protected from some infections and chronic
conditions the longer they are nursed.

The benefits to a woman's health also
increase with the number of months or years she breastfeeds (including all of
her children together).

The American Academy of
Pediatrics advises introducing children to foods other than breast milk or
infant formula when they are about 6 months old.

a good relationship between mother and baby. But sometimes it is difficult for
mothers to do. Here are 5 ways to improve the relationship between mother and
baby

1.Spend more time skin to skin with your baby.

When your infant is in close
proximity to you, they will feel more at ease and comforted. To encourage your
infant to breastfeed frequently, make plans to cuddle with them for a few days.
Keep your breasts exposed if you sleep next to your child to encourage
breastfeeding.

To keep your baby close to
you all day, you might want to consider carrying them in a sling. As a result
of the proximity, kids can unwind and become more at ease while being nursed.

2. Relax and stay calm when
it's time to nurse.

Your baby may feel anxious if
you are stressed about breastfeeding. Take time before the nursing session to
relax and unwind. This can also make your milk letdown easier. To help yourself
feel calm, you could:

·

Your baby's feeding preferences will not change overnight, so give them at least 1 or 2 days to become comfortable with breastfeeding again. Remind yourself that your baby is learning to breastfeed, so be patient with them.

So that you can focus on feeding your baby, enlist the assistance of family or friends. See if a relative can come over and watch your older children or bring a meal to your family.

4. Praise your baby every

Although your baby is still quite young, they can pick up on your facial expressions when you're close by. If your baby has a good latch or tries to breastfeed, exclaim, "Good baby!" and smile broadly.

As your baby attempts to breastfeed, be consistent and give frequent verbal praise.

5. Reach out for support if your baby still fusses after 3 or 4
days.

If you've been trying to improve your breastfeeding relationship for several days and your baby is still struggling, don't be afraid to contact a lactation consultant.

They can provide you with specialized assistance, demonstrate various breastfeeding positions, and determine whether or not your baby is receiving adequate nutrition.

That are 5 ways to improving breastfeed relationship.

Salma Hayek is one of my favourite Celebrity. She’s beautiful and has high talent in her film. Although the breastfeeding just in few minutes, but I think can be motivate for all to support breastfeeding.

Here the strory about her trip to Africa (Source: http://abcnews.go.com, http://www.dailymail.co.uk and others)

Salma Hayek go to Sierra leone Africa to support a tetanus-vaccination project. Sierra Leone has the highest infant and child death rate in the world. One in five children die before reaching their fifth birthday and tetanus is a big contributor -- 21 percent of all infant deaths are related to tetanus.
Tetanus deaths are preventable with routine vaccinations. UNICEF has launched an initiative to eradicate the disease worldwide by 2012. In Sierra Leone the cost of immunizing one person is about 74 cents. Once a woman is immunized, her children will be protected from the disease at birth, before needing immunizations of their own.
In 2008, Hayek became a spokeswoman for the Pampers "One Pack = One Vaccine" campaign to support UNICEF's efforts to eliminate tetanus. For each pack of specially marked Pampers diapers sold, parent company Proctor and Gamble donates the cost of one tetanus vaccine to UNICEF. The North American campaign has generated funding for more than 45 million vaccines since the beginning of 2008.
When celebrity and producer Salma Hayek arrived in Sierra Leone in September, she was not whisked off to a movie set.
She was there not as a celebrity, but as a humanitarian, to see firsthand a leading cause of death in the developing world: tetanus.

"Nightline" co-anchor Cynthia McFadden went along to document the journey.
To most people in the United States, tetanus brings to mind rusty nails and a quick trip to the doctor's office for a shot. But in developing countries like Sierra Leone, maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) is a top cause of death among mothers and their babies.
"What really excited me about this was the concept of mothers from around the world working together to protect children," said Hayek.

As soon as she landed in Sierra Leone, Hayek was taken to a hospital in the capital, Freetown.
where she saw the painful reality of tetanus. A 7-day-old baby girl named Fatima lay dying. There were no medications to give her but the serum given to horses with the disease.

Then she saw a mother who was unable to provide milk for her malnourished one-week-old son.
Without hesitation, she took the stranger's baby and began breastfeeding it, despite the presence of several camera crews from American news network ABC, who were accompanying her on the African charity mission.
'The baby was perfectly healthy, but the mother did not have any milk.
'He was very hungry - I was weaning my daughter Valentina, but I still had a lot of milk, so I breastfed the baby”, Hayek said.
'It was amazing because he was really looking at me and he's very little. My baby is one year so he can suck a lot harder.'

Hayek said that she had been inspired by a story of her great-grandmother.
She said: 'My great-grandmother was in a Mexican village and they found a woman in the street who was inconsolably crying and the baby was also crying.
'My great-grandmother asked what the matter was and the mother said, 'She is very, very hungry and I have no more milk'.
'And in the street, my great-grandmother breastfed that baby who instantly stopped crying and went peacefully to sleep,”Hayek was really impressed by that story.

"Am I being disloyal to my child by giving my milk away? I actually think my baby would be very proud to be able to share her milk. When she grows up, I will make sure she continues to share and be a caring and generous person" She said.

Wow, this is really inspiration story from Celebrity Salma hayek. My niple is so pain, until bleeding! I cry and panic. I almost stop breastfeeding and try to give bottle milk. Thank God, I can stand and continue exclusive breastfeeding for my baby.
Actually you don’t get panic with this condition. Poor positioning and latch-on is the most common cause of nipple soreness in the early weeks of nursing. The most thing you can do is identify the type of pain and find some immediate pain relief. Here’s the most caused:

1. Nipple sensitivity.

Your nipples feel more sensitive or tender than usual. Some nipple sensitivity is normal in the beginning. The likely cause is your nipples just aren't used to this much stimulation.
What do to: Wait it out; it just takes time for your nipples to get used to nursing. In the meantime, using pure lanolin should help ease normal nipple While nipple sensitivity is normal, your nipple usually does not painfull anymore.

2. Cracked or bleeding nipples.

Sometimes sore niple will be continued to become ceacked and bleeding nipples. The likely cause: bad lacth suckle, bad positioning, thrush, problem with the breat pump, or baby bites.
Bad latch suckle : A baby's latch will affect the way a baby suckles. Common problems with latch include a baby who does not have enough of the breast in the mouth, subsequently sucking on the nipple as if sucking on a straw, or chomping and clamping down while trying to suckle. This kind of latch/suckling will be painful and also won't do a very good job of delivering milk.

Bad positioning. If the latch looks right but baby is not well-positioned, you could also end up with nipple pain because the baby's body relative to your body causes pulling or pinching on the breast or nipple.

Thrush:Thrush is another term for "yeast infection". It's usually caused by mom or baby having taken an antibiotic, which creates an imbalance of bacteria in the body. Help avoid this by taking probiotics whenever you or baby is on an antibiotic.

Breast pump problem. Many moms mistakenly believe that turning up the strength of the suction on a breast pump will get milk out faster. This is just not true and, in fact, stronger suction can create pain in the breast. Always start out with the lowest setting and gradually increase the suction setting, reducing the suction when it grows uncomfortable. Additionally, many moms don't realize that the part that fits over the breast, called the "breastshield," is not "one-size-fits-all". Using the wrong breastshield can cause friction to the nipples, which is painful.

What to do: Don't worry, it's safe to nurse the baby and/or give your breastfeeding baby pumped milk even when your nipples are bleeding.
In general, cracked or bleeding nipples may be relieved by:
a. Nurse frequently - at least every 2 hours. This will ensure that your baby does not become too hungry between feedings causing him to nurse ravenously and aggressively at your breast.
b.Moist wound healing, which includes pure lanolin and products such as "Soothies gel pads"
c.All-Purpose Nipple Ointment
d. Good-old breast milk, since it's a natural antibiotic. For this remedy, just express a little milk and let the nipples air-dry.
My mother suggest me to do it when I was pregnant until lactation. I get the greatful advantage by increasing my breast supply and successful exclusive breastfeeding.

Here’s the fact, the breast tissue contains an abundance of lymph vessels. Unlike other areas of the body, the breast lacks sources of external compression, such as muscles or strong overlying frontal part that promotes natural lymphatic drainage. As a result, fluid has a tendency to stagnate, which may lead to breast problems. This is where gentle, non-stimulating massage techniques can be used to aid fluid recirculation.
Massage therapy is an effective non-invasive treatment for breasts, as they also require need good circulation and tissue mobilization for optimum health. Breast massage just before breastfeeding increase the fat content of the milk and stimulate letdown and expression of the milk.

TIPS TO MASSAGE

1.The best massage technique is to first start pumping the lymph glands in your arm pits, this lymphatic massage will get the blood and toxins flowing.
2.Use a lotion while massaging (a natural lotion if you are breastfeeding) Olive oil is really good for this.
3.Gentle rubbing and/or squeezing is enough to get the blood flowing. Do not press too hard, you could damage your glandular tissue.
4.When you start to feel your breasts warming up, it’s a sign that your breasts have increased blood flow, which is very good.
5.These massages should be done daily.

Celebrity
It’s important for working mother who still consider in exclusive breastfeeding for their babies, or you should express your milk because your premature baby still difficult to suck directly. You can do by hand or by breastpump.

I have experience express my breastmilk by hand for my litle doughter. Thank God I have finished exclusive breastfeeding for my baby by expressing manualy my breastmilk when I worked. Don’t worry, It’s easy actualy. Expressing by hand is the cheapest way to do it, because you don't need to buy equipment. It does take a bit of getting used to. The trick is to put pressure on the milk ducts behind your nipple, rather than squeezing the nipple itself. It's a useful knack to have and can help you to relieve your breasts if they're too full. Follow the steps:

•Wash your hands before you start. thoroughly with soap and warm water, and gently massage your breast.
•Find a suitable wide-rimmed container for your milk, such as a jug. Either sterilise it in a steriliser or wash it well and scald it with boiling water.
•Sit comfortably, with your back straight.
•Place your little finger underneath your breast, against your ribs, and spread your other fingers slightly to support your breast. Your thumb needs to be on top, about 3cm or 4cm back from the base of your nipple.
•Adjust your fingers if you need to, so that your first finger and thumb are opposite each other, making a big C shape around your breast.
•Your milk comes from deep within your breast, so your finger and thumb need to be well away from your nipple. Place them towards the edge the darker skin surrounding your nipple (areola). If you have a large areola, you may need to bring your fingers inside it.
•Gently squeeze your thumb and first finger together, hold the squeeze for a count of three, and release, but keep your finger and thumb in the same position.
•Repeat the squeezing and releasing until you see drops of colostrum or breastmilk appearing at your nipple. Be patient, it may take a minute or two for milk to appear.
•When no more drops come out, move your fingers round and try a different section of your breast, and repeat.
•When the flow slows down, swap to the other breast. Keep changing breasts until the milk drips very slowly or stops altogether.
•If the milk doesn’t flow, try moving your fingers slightly towards the nipple or further away, or give the breast a gentle massage.
•Hold a sterilised feeding bottle or container below your breast to catch the milk as it flows

I always give respect for all. I just have one doughter, but still difficult to hold completely. I know, it must be more difficult to prepare and take care all their twin babies. They say, they still can give breast milk to their babies together. How come? The important thing is position.

Baby's head, shoulders and hips should be facing the same direction (towards Mom) In the newborn, the body will usually be in a slightly curved position, a bit like the letter "C". The head should always be in line with the rest of baby's body, never arched back or turned sideways.
See the picture below
You also can see how to breastfeeding twin from Youtube

To make sure you get good posture and are comfortable,You can use nursing pillow special for twin. There are several "nursing" pillows on the market that help raise baby to a comfortable height and position, or try experimenting with pillows you have on hand. Make sure you are well supported, using pillows behind your back, a footstool to raise your lap, whatever it takes to make you comfortable.
Good Luck...

Celebrity
