Process to Exclude an IP Address in GA4

The process is divided into two main parts:

Part 1: Define Internal Traffic (Add IP Address Rule)

Open Google Analytics 4.

Click on Admin.

Select on Data Streams, and select your web data stream.

Click on Configure tag settings.

Scroll down and click on Show more.

Click on Define internal traffic.

Click Create.

Fill in the following details:

Rule name: (e.g., Office location name)

Traffic type value: (e.g., internal or location name)

Match type: Select IP address equals

Value: Enter the IP address to exclude

Click Save.

Part 2: Create a Data Filter to Exclude Internal Traffic

Go back to Admin.

Under the Data collection and modification column, click on Data Filters.

Click on Create Filter.

Choose Internal traffic as the filter type.

Fill in the following details:

Filter name: (e.g., Exclude Internal IP)

Filter operation: Select Exclude

Parameter value: Enter the same traffic type value you used earlier (e.g., internal or location name)

Choose Filter state as Active.

Click Save.

Add a popup that appears on button click and loads automatically on a WordPress website

Download popup maker: https://wordpress.org/plugins/popup-maker/

Upload it and install it as a plugin

Then activate it.

Go to Popup Maker on left side menu → click to Add Popup

Give it a title and add content inside the editor.

Below, Under Popup Settings, go to the "Triggers" tab.

Click 'Add New Trigger'.

Choose 'Click Open' as the trigger type.

To Automatic Popup, choose Time Delay / Auto Open as the trigger type and then choose range 5000ms for time delay

Click Add and then Update the popup to save.

To change its (Popup) size and looks:

Click on Display under Popup Settings,

Select tab Appearance and choose 'Enterprise Blue' from Filter (Popup Theme)

Then Click on Size tab and choose size from dropdown 'Large - 80%' and select Max Width 400 in px.

And save it.

Step 3: Add the Class to Your Button / Add this popup to your button

Click on the button block.

In the right-hand block settings, scroll to Advanced.

In CSS classes, add: popmake-1111 (Replace 1111 with your popup’s ID.)

And publish it.

If you're using HTML or Custom Code, your button should look like this:

Lok Sabha 2014 polls start from April 7, results on May 16

The Election Commission has announced the dates of 16th Lok Sabha polls on Wednesday morning, Lok Sabha 2014 polls start from April 7 and results come out on May 16.

Elections for the 16th Lok Sabha will be held from April 7 to May 12 spread over nine days in the highest number of polling days so far involving an electorate of 81.4 crore, the Election Commission announced on Wednesday. Nation will go to polls on April 7, 9, 10, 12, 17, 24, 30, May 7 and May 12.

Counting of votes in all the 543 Lok Sabha constituencies will be held on a single day on May 16, Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath announced at a press conference flanked by ECs H.S. Brahma and S.N.A. Zaidi.

Assembly elections will also be held simultaneously in the states of Andhra Pradesh, including Telangana region, Odisha and Sikkim.

Link Building Strategies and Spamming

After releasing Penguin 5 (AKA Penguin 2.1) on Oct. 4, 2013, link building has become a toughest work. Because Penguin is a part of Google’s overall search algorithm that periodically looks for sites that are deemed to be spamming Google’s search results but somehow still ranking well. May be they use paid links, have backlinks with low quality website and use other spamming activity to increase link building.

If you were hit by Penguin5, you’ll likely know if you see a marked drop in traffic that begins today or tomorrow. To recover, you’ll need to do things like disavow bad links or manually have those removed. Filing a reconsideration request doesn’t help, because Penguin is an automated process. Until it sees that what it considers to be bad has been removed, you don’t recover.

Matt Cutt (Head of the webspam team at Google) says on 20th January, 2014, don't do guest blogging as a way to gain links. Because over time it’s become a more and more spammy practice, and if you’re doing a lot of guest blogging then you’re hanging out with really bad company.

He also added in bottom: There are still many good reasons to do some guest blogging (exposure, branding, increased reach, community, etc.). Those reasons existed way before Google and they’ll continue into the future. And there are absolutely some fantastic, high-quality guest bloggers out there.

I (Matt Cutt) just want to highlight that a bunch of low-quality or spam sites have latched on to “guest blogging” as their link-building strategy, and we see a lot more spammy attempts to do guest blogging.

Concluesion: After reading Matt Cutts posting, the concluesion come out that the guest blogging is ok for exposure, branding, increased reach, community, etc., but Guest Blogging for SEO is not good and marked as a spam. If we do guest blogging with nofollow tag in links, it will be effective because traffic will reach to our website and it doesn't effect our page rank. We can not forget our actual goal is traffic.

One evening I left the office to go home. I was riding a bike that day. After riding some distance, there was a sudden downpour. I could not stop where I was there because I had to reach home by a certain time, so I kept riding. The rain was very heavy. It was very hard to see with my helmet on because water was running over the helmet's visor. When I opened the visor the rain drops fell my face and eyes directly and they stung. I was soaking wet and the road was full of water and jammed with traffic. I had to take a long detour to reach home. The route was 5 km longer than the way I used normally. Employees Provident Fund (EPF), generally known as PF is a retirement benefit scheme available to the salaried class in India, wherein both the employer and employee contribute an equal amount towards the fund. This year, the EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organization) has introduced an e-passbook facility for members, which enables them to check their PF account online.

What is an EPF e-passbook?

The EPF e-passbook is an online version of the employee’s provident fund account. Transactions are recorded date-wise and these can be tracked easily by the member. You can check your EPF balance online anytime you wish to.

How to register online?

Registration on the EPFO website is necessary to avail the e-passbook facility. The following steps need to be followed to register online -

1. Visit the EPFO members site - http://members.epfoservices.in/

2. Click on the “Register” at the bottom of the page or “Click here to Register” button under the Login area.

3. You will reach the registration page, where you will have to enter your mobile number mandatorily. You will also need to enter your date of birth, email id and select one of the eight documents (PAN number, Aadhar (UID), NPR (National Population Register), bank account number, voter ID card, driving license, passport number or ration card number) along with its unique number and your name as it is in the document. On entering a six digit unique text character, you will have to click “GET PIN” to get a four digit authorization PIN on your mobile.

4. Once you receive the PIN on your mobile, you will have to enter this PIN in the box provided at the bottom of the page. Check the “I agree” box and click on “Submit” button.

5. After clicking on “Submit”, your registration will be complete and you will get a confirmation message on your mobile.

This completes the registration process on the EPFO member website.

How to generate e-passbook?

After successful registration, you will need to login to your account in the member login area to generate the e-passbook. The following steps need to be followed.

1. Log in to your account by selecting your document, entering the document number and your mobile number that you entered on the Registration page and click on the “Sign In” button.

2. When you successfully login, you will see your name on the right hand side of the page. This is the page on which you can edit your personal details and also download your EPF e-passbook.

3. When you click on “Download E Passbook” link, you will be prompted to select the state under which your establishment is covered.

4. On selecting the state, you will be asked to choose the EPFO office. If you are unaware about the EPFO to which you belong, you can use the establishment search facility to get these details.

5. When you have selected the EPFO office, you should now enter your EPF account number. The next step is to enter your name, which should exactly match EPF records.

6. Click on “Get PIN” to receive the PIN on your mobile and email. Do not close this page till you receive the PIN on your mobile/email.

7. When you receive the authorization PIN, you will need to enter this in the “Enter Authorization PIN” box, check the “I Agree” button and then click on “Get Detail”.

8. You will then be able to download the PDF.

Points to remember while using EPFO’s e-passbook facility:

1. Only one mobile number can be used for one registration. However, your mobile number details can be edited subsequently.

2. You can view details of only one EPF account under one establishment. If you wish to view details of all your EPF accounts under a single establishment, then you will have to first transfer one EPF to another.

3. You can view a total of 10 EPF accounts under different establishments. You can view your accounts any number of times and transfer old EPF accounts to existing ones too.

4. You will not be able to view details of inoperative accounts and also EPF accounts which have been settled.

5. If you have left your job before March 2012, then you will not be able to see details online. However, you can place a request for the same on the website and it will be uploaded in a few days.

6. For logging into your account you just need your mobile number, document name and document number.

7. You can use multiple ids to register by using different document types.

The EPFO’s e-Passbook facility is a welcome move which will enable employees in managing their EPF accounts in a better manner. The success of this facility depends on the efficiency of the EPFO in managing the website and handling requests from the members.

Tim Berners-Lee is known as a inventor of Internet. He graduated from the Queen's College at Oxford University, England, 1976. In 1989, while working at CERN, the European Particle Physics Laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland, Tim Berners-Lee proposed a global hypertext project, to be known as the World Wide Web. He wrote the first web client and server in 1990. His specifications of URIs, HTTP and HTML were refined as Web technology spread.

Tim Berners Lee is the Director of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), a Web standards organization founded in 1994 which develops interoperable technologies (specifications, guidelines, software, and tools) to lead the Web to its full potential. He was a Director of the Web Science Trust (WST) launched in 2009 to promote research and education in Web Science, the multidisciplinary study of humanity connected by technology.
