I had so hoped that this was an April Fool's Joke because I finally found those 'lost slippers' while I am sitting on medical leave with no income! And they say that the big guy upstairs is just and fair!

Anyway, I know that I was pleasently surprised when I tripped into a post from the archive at DAXRICH which is a really neat website. Do yourself a real favor and go check it out: http://www.DAXRICH.com as soon as you get a chance.

You really never know just what you'll find there but I guarantee that you will be entertained, enlightened, and just quite possibly enriched a little bit (or more likely, a whole lot).

The variety and tone of the posts are much along the lines of 'George W Haylings', whom I discovered about 25 yrs ago and then somehow misplaced, like an "old of slippers". You know the ones - those that you try everything that you can think of but just can never get a new pair to feel the same.

I remember (or think that I do) that DAX was around back then, as well, and was associated with GW (Haylings not Bush) in some way, maybe an advertiser. Maybe that explains the similarities that I feel. Whether DAX was influenced by GW Haylings or not - I can honestly say that this gets top billing on my bookmarked favorites list (only because I can't think of a way to fund the purchase the entire outfit myself).

I only hope that the new buyer, whoever they are, will be true to the DAX traditions and my fond memories of GWH

Trading cards or collectible cards began as advertisements for tobacco brands, usually printed on some type of paper stock or card stock, and inserted into packaging by the tobacco manufacturers.

While the principle use of these cards was to stiffen cigarette packaging, a secondary, and more important reason though was for the promotional value as a way to advertise tobacco brands and promote brand loyalty.

When it turned out that it was actually the children of the "tobacco smoker" who was really doing the majority of the collecting, similar cards became very popular as inserts to bubblegum packs.

Almost any item can be a collectible -- as long as someone somewhere finds it appealing it has the potential to be a collectible. Any item is collectible if it is desirable, somewhat plentiful and has an identifiable characteristics. Affordability does place a small factor as well.

These can include new items that were created by companies and then marketed specifically to be collectibles or gifts. I refer to these as "manufactured collectibles" because they are manufactured specifically to be collectible. Hummel figurines, Franklin Mint plates, Precious Moments, and even United State Mint Proof sets are some examples of these type of items.

I want to make it abundantly clear that what follows are personal comments made in response to the new rules being implemented at the Power2surf.com but take into account the current environment created by the many recent and not so recent events that affect and continue to affect the "Paid to (insert surf/read/click)" industry.

It is official "another Autosurf/Traffic Exchange Website " has crossed over to the dark side... just what I had been predicting since June

Power2surf.com is now in the majority.

New Rules, - Simpler and Better!Bul**hit!

"We have made some important changes to our program." Changes that allow you to completely "screw-over" those members who only followed the rules that you set out!

As the result of the current situation in the autosurf industry with hundreds of sites not paying, closing down, scams, obvious ponzis and so on, it is very understandable that people are hesitant to risk their money on yet another program. Honestly now, does this really surprise you?" Why should they trust power2surf more than any other autosurf? "Damm good question, I think." And even if we have paid all our members, "Have you? I know of many that haven't received a dime from you! No that is not completely true, They did earn a few upgrades, but under this new plan, you have deleted them as if they never existed" what guarantee is that for us paying in the future? "After this little scam-play not much of one!"

The problem with all this distrust is that our members are finding it harder and harder to find referrals and even harder to find referrals that will upgrade. "And you think that the new plan will improve this HOW?"

The other problem is our Payout Rule, too many find it difficult to understand (some claim it's impossible, others don't even care to read it) and when they do, they are put off by the requirement of having to get 2 upgraded referrals before they can cash out. We can't just sit by and do nothing. "I suppose that you have to figure out how to 'screw-over' those potential new members or somehow get your current members to give you more money!" For months we have been looking for ways to improve our program (read your pocket), finally we have conceived a solution, gone is the Payout Rule, the Compensation Plan, the Surfing Vacations, the $10 signup bonus and most importantly the need to get upgraded referrals. [i]"The Ultimate Irony --- All those things that for months you have been swearing were the very things that made power2surf.com "legitimate" unlike all the other scams that you were up against"

Q: This 80% cash back guarantee means that you actually loose $2 per purchased AP, how is this a good thing ?

The second thing is that you are participating in a very sustainable program "unless you change your minds again and realize that it isn't!" (we have already been around for over 1 year, very few others have done that and even fewer are still paying their members), "Maybe that should that read that "For over a year, like many others have done, we have been paying very few of your members! Or maybe I am just being a stickler for detail." It's build to last so that you will not be wasting more time, effort and money on false promises. Free members

Just continue surfing and promoting (you don't have to, but if you get a downline you will earn more) as usual, any surfing earnings will be deleted, but you will keep your surfing bonus earnings, PTC earnings and commissions. 500 credits will also be added to your account. We will not make any changes to your account before you choose to upgrade or are ready to cash out when your account reaches 20$. Upgraded members

'Can't pay the bills so let's just pretend that they don't exist. After all people are so used hearing about being screwed-over by this or that on the internet, that if anyone screams about how they are treated here it will blend into the background' " This will actually benefit you because each AP cost you $10 and you would only receive $8 in return, i.e. we will spare you the loss of $2 per AP purchased with your own earnings. The earnings generated from the free $10 signup bonus will be deleted and replaced with 500 credits.

$10 for 500 credits does that make them worth $.0200 each? Oops! Sorry, I forgot, members would also have to surf every day for 40 days to get that full value.

But doesn't 20 credits per day for 40 days equal 800 credits earned , therefore the real worth is $10/800 =$.0125 each.

Hold on, have to add in that pesky bonus of 500 credits for upgrading, so the value of credits is 800 earned plus 500 bonus = 1300 total credits for a $10 upgrade which make them worth $10/1300 = $.0076 each.

But in reality, according to your explanation of the new rules, the very next upgrade will establish the real value of a power2surf.com credit... for only $2 (since you are lucky enough to get $8 from power2surf.com - maybe) you can get 1300 credits which makes them really worth $.0015 each unless you DON'T SURF every day which would actually make them WORTH MORE "

Am I the only one who sees something A**backwards about this?

I expect these changes will keep us very busy the coming weeks, "I would imagine that most of that time will be used for planning on what else you can spend OPM (other people's money) on. When things in your lives seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls . He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things--your family, your children, your health, your friends and your favorite passions--and if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house and your car.

Ok, It really is time to get serious...

This is simply a heads up call to all those aspiring entrepreneurs who have recently suffered from the varied fiascos that have decimated your faith and more importantly your cash flow from your on-line efforts to achive your dreams.

As I predicted 5 weeks ago... It Is Happening All Over again

It seems that various website owners are now OFFICIALLY in PANIC MODE and trying to blame it on e-gold...

Some have simply frozen accounts, while others have closed with a half-hearted but well-meaning promise of refunds (yeah right), although they beg for understanding that it might take months to get some, if any, back.

It is the StormPay fiasco all over again.

Just a convenient excuse to shut up shop or at the very least re-arrange their entire program by changing the terms that they operate under. And what option do you have if you don't lie the "new" terms -- they already have your money.

If they did as they profess and used the "upgrade" funds to actually invest in other ventures they wouldn't be caught with a large balance in "any" processor accounts and therefore couldn't be held hostage by any thing that affects the processors.

Granted they might have some small losses but at most would be a couple of day's worth of transactions. Not the program crippling amounts that they are alluding too.
