Religious diversity and tolerance is a stated goal of American society (the Bill of Rights). Public schools make a point to avoid religion in the curriculum so that all children can feel welcome. But in trying to make everyone feel welcome, are we alienating more and more people? Could a survey course of major religions bring these children back to the public classroom?
