The vertical circle also has a split bubble for leveling. I think if you want to double it you measure it again. (We used to do six vertical sets and sixteen positions of the horizontal.)

i just jail broke my iPnone 4s running 5.1.1 (was very easy) and installed the MyFI 5.5 app that allows you to turn off the security. TSC2 will still not connect.

In my mind, I feel that we sell information. We train, educate and test ourselves on the ability to collect it and portray it on paper. I value my skills too much to just give that away, but maybe it's just me.

45° is the reading on the vertical circle with the vertical circle face-left and with the scope pointed straight up (which you can't because the length of the scope won't let you.) The vertical circle is derived by the SUM of the face-left and face-right readings as I remember.

My attorney said that will absolutely open the door for any future entity to claim damage in case I missed anything. How could that not be of value? The fact that no one till now has even mentioned my deleting it tells me that I am right to not give that away. Also, its not like they gave me the certs up front for discussion.

Never used a T-3, but what you've described almost makes me think there might be a 'floating' plate that is similar to the horizontal circle. I think Wild instruments read zenith angles, but I can't think of any scenario where horizontal would read near 45d.

When I get there he shows me a bid from a company that is a 2 hour drive from the site. They were at $9,500. Took in a job on an area lake yesterday. Lot is in a recorded subdivision done in 1985 by a good surveyor. Lot is 100' on the road, 364 on the East, 289 on the West, and 126 at the lake. I bet they already have a print of the ALTA survey, and I'm wondering if they found a way to scan that into AutoCAD to save the bother of, you know, actually surveying the site. I charge 2 dollars for a 24"x36". As noted above, it may actually be cheaper, if they are handy, to run them at a print shop. It is pretty easy to calculate the paper cost, ink cost is trickier, then there is the cost of the plotter and the time.
