Most people do not freeze during an emergency because they are weak, cowardly, or incapable.

They freeze because their brain is trying to understand a situation it has never processed before.

When something unexpected happens, the mind immediately starts searching for a familiar pattern. If it cannot find one, valuable seconds are lost trying to answer basic questions:

What is happening?

Is this real?

What am I supposed to do?

Am I in danger?

I must continually remind myself that there is way better things to spend my family’s disposable income on other than preparing.

When a trigger event occurs, I now must remind myself that we discuss these events for a very important reason. So that when “it” happens, I should not say “yeah but it’s probably not a huge deal “ or something like that.

Has anyone else notice an increase amount of people selling their preps?

In the last few months I have noticed more and more listings on facebook market place of prepping stuff for sale. At first it was a few freeze driers for sale, then small amounts of commercial prepping food like Wise or Patriot companies but this last listing is what pushed me over the edge with the question.

Starting my morning slowly, out in nature with a fresh cup of coffee, is always a good way to start the day.

Just watched a YouTube vlogger from Ukraine showing videos of miles long lines waiting for Russian gas and people fighting at the gas pumps. My preps include keeping about 3 gallons of extra gas in my car's trunk. I envy people with an actual redoubt where they can easily store as much as they want. I wonder how many Russians, a year ago, would have said, "Next year women will be fighting at gas pumps." Yet, despite videos right in our face, I still can't convince my friends to prepare...

Today was a glorious day for round 2 of 6.5 PRC load development w/Tubul 8000.

I was also able to find 200 round of 6.5 143 gr ELD-X, 140 gr SST and 140 gr Game King. 200 Round of .30 220 gr ELD-x and 140 gr Evolution. ALL at normal prices. The good lord wants me to make more bullets.

Just found this short video speed test on the above 2 Chainsaws by one of the Guys from Machinery Nation on Youtube Cutting a 12"++ Log, They test and post all the famous brands and some not so famous, I have seen the Duel rival Gas powered Saws in some video's and I have also seen it come in second place, But It is one heck of a machine so I might order another later next week.

Long story short, I bought a home 22 years ago. It had a dishwasher.

My husband was ill and he did not like me to use it. As his Alzheimer's progressed he would actually attack it and scream at it so I stopped. There's a power switch on the wall so I flipped that.

This was years ago.

I would like to use it again. It looks fine. Google ai said check the hoses, run an empty rinse cycle. If that works run a full cycle with detergent and no dishes.

Here on the Gulf Coast, I've dug my Louisiana multiplier onions (walking onions aren't ready yet). Hung some in an old peanut net bag and froze the rest.

Picked enough rose petals to make a little rose petal jelly that I canned up.

Dehydrated strawberries, enough for 2 pints. Never again-too much slicing!
