It's a hard world out there. We all know how shitty unemployment is. Anybody succeeding?

I'll get the party started: My business is going well. I'm going to turn a profit and become a taxpaying citizen. I'm focussed and on-task. My successes are now legitimate points of pride and my "failures" are just learning experiences. (Yay, therapy!)

Just a little about myself, I'm 26 years old and I've been out of work for nearly 1 & 1/2 years. Went to college for television broadcasting, safe to say, it's not exactly a broadly applicable major/field. I've been working in Live TV since I was 19, so I have roughly 6 years experience working in major markets (Philadelphia, San Francisco, DC).

Reading posting after posting, writing Pulitzer prize winning cover letter after cover letter, making endless phone calls to squeaky voiced little receptionists to hopefully, maybe, maybe get an AUTO RESPONSE in your email let alone a damn 10 minute phone call will take...about....TWO MONTHS if you\'re lucky! This whole disgusting, insulting process TAKES LONGER THAN CONFIRMATION HEARINGS FOR SUPREME COURT JUSTICES!!
