Survivor 2013 Caramoan crowned a winner Sunday night but not before Brenda made the whole season worthwhile when she made Dawn remove her false teeth during the jury/final three interrogation.

As you already know, John Cochran won the Season 26 $1 million prize. But let’s back up and see how he got there.

The episode picked up right after Brenda’s elimination and Jeff is called in when Erik is having some sort of medical problem. “Everything is spinning,” he said. Jeff calls in the doctor to check him out.

The doctor says he’s in the early stages of starvation. The doctor pulls Erik from the game. Which was probably a good move because Erik seriously looked like he was starving to death.

So just like that, there are only four that remain: Cochran, Sherri, Dawn and Eddie. How Eddie made it to the final four is kind of beyond me and sort of amazing in its own way.

Now that Erik is out, Dawn, Cochran and Sherri have to figure out what to do now. Is Eddie still the choice? Or is it time they turn on each other? Cochran is thinking about it right away. He wants to be the first person to get to Eddie since he’s most likely to win the next immunity idol and will decide will get o go to the final three.

And that’s what Cochran does. He and Eddie shake on a deal.

Eddie has a plan. “We vote out Dawn next, Sherri comes in third, Cochran comes in second and I come in first. And I win the million dollar prize,” he says.

The next day they get the tree mail and are crazily excited for a shot at a reward challenge. Which will be food. And they all really need it. Especially since they’ve all had about as much food to eat as Erik had.

At the reward challenge they’re playing for a huge advantage in the immunity challenge. So no food. Waaaan waaaaan. But it is an advantage that could help them win immunity and the first spot in the final three.

Cochran wins the reward.

Eddie and Sherri know that they don’t want to sit next to Dawn in the finale because she’ll get all the jury votes. So Cochran is Dawn’s only hope at making it to the final three. And he’s got Dawn’s number, so it will all come down to who wins immunity. And if it’s Cochran, she’s not 100 percent safe because he said he’s “considering ditching her.”

It’s time for more tree mail. It’s about the nostalgia tour where they remember all the fallen contestants and then the final immunity challenge.

So off to the immunity challenge. Cochran opens his reward. He gets to skip a portion of the competition. So it is quite an advantage.

For the challenge, the players have to hold on to a handle to balance their small table and build a house of wooden cards with the other hand.

Cochran’s advantage went no where and he easily fell behind. But then he caught back up and won immunity. And Dawn is super happy because she thinks it’s easily Eddie who will be heading home. Will that be the case?

And Dawn and Cochran have their little talk and she starts crying as usual. Which is the worst thing she can do since he’s already irritated with her roller coaster of emotions.

Then Cochran heads off to talk to Eddie. Cochran is straight up with Eddie that he or Dawn will be heading home. Eddie pleads his case by being an idiot and I think he played that card very well. Poor, clueless fella.

Let’s head to Tribal Council and find out who is going to plead their case to the jury for the $1 million prize.

Eddie made is best move in the game by dropping the hint that the supposed final three would’ve been Erik, Dawn and Sherri had Erik not been pulled from the game. So you can see the reaction on everyone’s faces that Eddie put that out there with Cochran sitting on the decision.

The Votes

Dawn
Eddie
Eddie
Eddie

Eddie is voted out so that leaves Cochran, Dawn and Sherri in the final three. What a ridiculous final three. I’ll just go ahead and say it. Laughable.

It’s time for the very final Tribal Council. Cochran, Dawn and Sherri plead their cases and as expected, Cochran made the best arguments and is clearly poised to win the final vote. So let’s get to it.

Best moment of the Tribal Council: Brenda asking Dawn to take out her teeth and show the others how Brenda saw her that day. Brenda INSISTS that she do it. And she does. Brenda deserves the fan favorite vote just for that. Amazing.

The Final Votes (choices are who they want to win)

Cochran
Cochran
Cochran
Cochran
Cochran

Cochran wins. Unanimously. The Player of the Season prize went to Malcolm. And if anyone else is confused about the runner-up reward, it sounds like Dawn and Sherri tie as runners up since neither received any jury votes.

Yes, Survivor 2013 will return with Season 27 starting this fall. Tonight during the Caramoan finale where we found out who won host Jeff Probst announced that instead of revealing where they were going they would give a teaser. Check out the image above. it was a few seconds long clip that showed blood dropping in to water.

So what does it mean? Yes, it’s that obvious: Blood is thicker than water, as the saying goes. Survivor Season 27 will pit family members against one another, so the rumors have indicated, and this teaser seems to confirm that news. It’s also rumored that it’ll be more “Favorites” returning to play against family. Hmm, Boston Rob and Amber won’t show up again in this perfect overlap, would they?

Join us on Facebook for more updates next season.

What do you think the teaser means for Survivor 2013′s second season? Did I miss the mark by interpreting that as “blood is thicker than water”?

And yes, the next season will take place in the Philippines yet again.

Update: More info revealed at the very end of tonight’s reunion show. Yes, it’s “Survivor Blood Vs Water” next season when Survivor 27 returns in September 2013.

Tonight on Survivor 2013 we’re about to find out who won Caramoan and becomes the 26th Sole Survivor. It’ll be either Cochran, Eddie, Erik, Dawn, or Sherri walking away with the one million dollar prize. Let’s find out who it’ll be.

Ten “super fans” faced off against Survivor “Favorites” but by the end there were just two fans and three favorites but two more of those will have to go before we get to hear host Jeff Probst reveal tonight’s winner.

After tonight’s results show there will also be the usual reunion show and I’m curious to see if Hantz is invited back. We’ve already heard Brenda won’t be friendly with Dawn and from the comments here on the site, most of you wouldn’t expect that it.

Readers have voted and a slim majority predicts Cochran will win tonight and if he can make it to the final three then I’d have to agree that they’re right. If he can avoid being tonight’s medical evacuation then he’ll be just one elimination away from that.

The medical emergency hits quickly and early in tonight’s show. On the way back from Tribal Council Erik says his head starts spinning. Jeff immediately arrives and is concerned about Erik’s condition. The doctor comes in and identifies Erik as being in an early stage of starvation. The doctor gives Erik and IV and says he’s pulling him out of the game. I would throw a fit, but Erik is passive and accepts it. He is definitely in rough shape.

We’re now down to 4 castaways on Survivor Caramoan and just three days left in the game for them to compete.

Cochran makes a deal with Eddie, who accepts, and they plan to vote out Dawn next and head on to the end with Sherri.

Reward Challenge time. The players have to hold on to a handle to balance their small table and build a house of wooden cards with the other hand. The reward is an advantage in the final immunity challenge. Huge stakes here.

Oh this is brutal to watch. Everyone has lost their stack at least once so far. Dawn was one level away from the win when she toppled hers. Awful. Cochran is perhaps having the hardest time out of the group.

Cochran and Sherri are even and just a few levels away from the coveted “red line” finish mark. Sherri leans over to grab a few more cards and topples her stack. Cochran is just one more away and… he gets win! Cochran wins yet again and will have an immunity challenge advantage. This was his third individual win on Survivor 2013. He’s building an incredible case for winning this all.

Here we go. The final immunity challenge is here. Let’s see what Cochran’s advantage will be in this competition. Cochran reveals he won’t have to untie his bag of puzzle pieces. Everyone else will have to go through a series of knots to release their bag of pieces.

Huge advantage for Cochran. He’s back up the stairs for his second bag before the others are heading back with their first. He’s a round ahead of them and he’s winded with no breaks from running in between the bags. Cochran is already working his puzzle before Eddie and Dawn are back with their second bags.

Sherri is the last to get her third bag of puzzle pieces. Cochran is slow to make progress on his puzzle. He has zero pieces assembled and everyone else has now joined him. Dawn is actually ahead of Cochran. Ouch.

Dawn is making steady progress. Sherri isn’t far behind. Eddie has nothing. Cochran starts to make a comeback.

Wow! What a comeback indeed. Dawn’s momentum fizzles while Sherri never really got going and Eddie barely showed up on the radar. Cochran wins the final immunity and is guaranteed to plead his case to the Jury. Does he have this in the bag?

Next Tribal Council is coming up where either Dawn, Eddie, or Sherri will be eliminated.

At Council Eddie makes it clear: take me and Sherri or you’ll lose to Dawn. Did it work? No! Eddie votes against Dawn, but everyone else votes against Eddie. Eddie is voted off Survivor just shy of the finale.

Cochran, Dawn, and Sherri move on to the final three and will plead their case to the Survivor 2013 Caramoan Jury.

Each of the three make their case to the Jury and now it’s time for them to get grilled in return.

Malcolm kicks it off well by telling Sherri he doesn’t have a question for her, but his vote is up in the air between Dawn and Cochran. Malcolm wants to know what quality Cochran had that he didn’t that helped him get to the end. Cochran says it was “heightened insecurity” that kept him on edge.

Eddie asks Sherri if she’ll admit that she got carried to the end. She denies it. Eddie calls Dawn out for her displays of weakness throughout the game. He asks Cochran how this game has changed him and Cochran says it’s positive and he’s cured of a lot of his fears.

Phillip lets Sherri know he’s taking away her membership in “Stealth R Us.” He goes after Dawn for playing such a weak persona in the game. Phillip is giving a lot of praise to Cochran and calls him a “real class act.”

Erik is up and goes to Dawn first. He lets her know she crushed their relationship when she voted out Brenda. Erik wants to address “awareness” with Sherri and asks if she knows why she’s here at the end. He calls her a “seashell on the beach” and sets her off.

Michael is up and says Dawn and Cochran played a very similar game but notices only Dawn is taking heat for it. Dawn says she developed relationships in a way that Cochran didn’t and she has more blood on her hands than Cochran. During Cochran’s response he points out the damage her paranoia did to the alliances. No question from Michael for Sherri.

Reynold out of the gate tells Dawn he doesn’t like her and never did. He asks her to just be honest and give him three adjectives. She struggles and answers chauvinistic, sense of humor, and vulgar. That’s all we get from Reynold.

Andrea says she’s not bitter at any of them. Cochran has to pick his power animal for this game. He goes with chameleon and explains how he changed through the game.

Brenda goes to Cochran with her question and wants to know why he took something away from her just after she gave him the family time at the challenge. He says she was a threat and he took it out. Now on to Dawn. She’s emotional and hurt by Dawn’s betrayal. Oh, this is big. She asks if Dawn would have really quit the game if she didn’t get her teeth back. Dawn says, “no.” Brenda calls her on it and wants her to take out her teeth. Brenda says no then says yes. Finally Brenda gives and takes out her bottom teeth. Hah!

Okay, time to vote. After all that I’m still sticking with Cochran as the winner of Survivor tonight.

Here we go. It’s time to reveal the votes.

Vote 1: Cochran
Vote 2: Cochran
Vote 3: Cochran
Vote 4: Cochran
Vote 5: Cochran!

That’s enough! Cochran won Survivor 2013 Caramoan! Congrats to him and his dream coming true.

The live reunion show is up next. Jeff reveals the original Survivor Rudy is in the house along with Richard Hatch and Boston Rob. They’ll all be participating in tonight’s follow-up show. Enjoy!

The “Player of the Season” is revealed to be Malcolm. He received 36% of the vote while Brenda came in at second with 35%. So close!

Can’t wait for the next season of Survivor? Jeff teased this hint at Season 27 and we’re guessing it means we’ll watch family play against one another.

This week on Survivor 2013 Caramoan, Brenda was the last person to be voted out before Sunday’s finale.

After her elimination, Brenda sat down for her exit interview, which we’ve got for you below. She’s also since talked to The Hollywood Reporter where she threw in some more details of her experiences which are much better than her exit interview because she’s had time to digest things.

And the question we all want to ask Brenda has been answered. Has she patched things up with Dawn?

“I’ve had no contact with Dawn and would not actively seek out a friendship with her,” Brenda told THR. “It if wasn’t for the finale [airing live Sunday on CBS], I wouldn’t talk to her. It’s not out of bitterness, but more out of, “I don’t want someone like you in my life.” Cochran, I’ve talked to, I have no problem with him.”

And how did this season stack up to her first?

“This was 10 times better,” she said. “Even though I wasn’t necessarily in the driver’s seat like in Nicaragua, it was so much more gratifying. I obviously got farther in the game, and got to see my dad and win a challenge together. I didn’t cringe when I watched the TV. The first time, “Oh my god, I can’t believe I said that.” This time, I was proud of myself. I didn’t feel like I deserved to get voted out, like in Nicaragua. This time, I honestly did my best.”

Oh, and would she play Survivor a third time? In a word, yes.

The Survivor Caramoan finale is this Sunday at 8PM on CBS and one of these final five castaways will become the Sole Survivor. Cochran, Eddie, Erik, Dawn, and Sherri are all that remain. The “Favorites” have walked all over the “Fans” but the numbers are now just 3 against 2 which means the Favorites will have to stop eating their own and band together if they want to shut out the Fans.

Teased in the next episode’s promo we learned that someone may have a medical emergency as we see Jeff Probst visiting the camp in the middle of the night and telling them the game had just been “rocked.”

Let’s take a vote. Who do you think will win Survivor 2013 Caramoan? You can either vote on who you want to win or who you think will win, if those two are different answers. Then share your thoughts on why.

Join us this Sunday, May 12, 2013 at 8PM for a live recap and discussion throughout the finale results show.

Here come the tears. Tonight on Survivor we’ll enjoy the family reunion moments along with another immunity challenge that could be anyone’s game. By the end of the night we’ll have our results on who was voted off Survivor as we work our way toward the season finale.

The alliance of six has cracked given Eddie, the final odd man out, the chance at driving the wedge further between the other five or face his own elimination. Let’s see what happens next.

Tonight’s first prize is island fever and Erik is the big winner. He’s hungry and those damn coconuts have been laughing at him since day three, he says, so he tries to climb an incredibly tall tree to get them. The end. What? We don’t even find out if he got the coconuts? Oh, cruel editors. Wait, no, after the commercial we find out he was unsuccessful. Ah well.

As we get ready for the first challenge of the night it’s time for the family reunion. Lots of tears all around including a small one from Jeff Probst who says it was his first tear in 26 seasons of this.

The pairs have to spin in a circle to unwind and release rails for the bolo game. Heh, Cochran and his mom aren’t really trying. Erik and his brother are leading the challenge as the first to even get to throwing. Well despite all that it comes down to Brenda and her dad winning the competition. That puts Brenda in the decision-maker seat.

Brenda gets to pick one other castaway to take with her back to the luxury picnic. She immediately goes for Dawn and her husband. Now Jeff throws in a twist. If Brenda gives up her time and Dawn’s chance then the other four castaways get the picnic plus a visit from a second loved one. Wow. That’s tough.

Brenda says, “of course, I’m going to give it to them.” So there go for the others for a barbecue while Dawn and Brenda go back to camp empty handed.

It’s time for the Immunity Challenge “I Hold On” as we watched earlier today in the spoilers. Jeff says there’s no food to tempt them away with this week. Just lots of pain instead.

After 15 minutes Cochran is already struggling but doesn’t want to drop. No matter, he’s out first. Jeff lowers them again and at 25 minutes it’s looking very bad for Eddie and he’s out. Well, that should be it for him. Erik goes next leaving just the women like we saw in the challenge teaser.

With just the ladies left Sherri goes next. Dawn wants to have an immunity win, but Brenda says she won’t give in for her. Jeff lowers them again. After another turn of the crank we see Brenda succumb to the challenge and fall in. Dawn wins Immunity.

It’s Tribal Council time and we might, just might get a blindside for Brenda, but we know how this show likes to tease us with misinformation and fakes head moves. It’s time to vote.

It comes down to 1 vote against Erik, 2 against Brenda, and 2 against Eddie. Last vote is… Brenda. Brenda is voted off Survivor Caramoan tonight. She tells the tribe “it hurt” and says she was honest with them as she walks off with tears in her eyes.

Did the tribe make the right decision tonight on Survivor?

CBS has released its Survivor spoilers preview of tonight’s Immunity challenge “I Hold On.” Challenge Director John K. explains this week’s challenge is simple in concept, but difficult in execution.

Players will have to hold on to a rope behind their backs as host Jeff Probst slowly turns the cranks sending them farther over the edge of a platform. Last castaway hanging on wins the competition and Immunity.

If you watch the behind the scenes video for tonight’s Survivor 2013 show then you’ll see how once again the women of Survivor’s Dream Team, the group that tests challenges, win what looks like a physical challenge. Could weight be the real challenge here? Watch out, Caramoan, Cochran could be poised to win again!

This week’s episode of Survivor 2013 Caramoan is sure to be an emotional one as it’s the episode where the castaways loved ones visit. And it’s not just Dawn who’s shedding tears this week.

Host Jeff Probst tells Entertainment Weekly this week’s episode is quite the tear jerker. So much so that even he cries.

“Well, I can tell you this. Hang on. Wait for it. I cry. Yes. I cry,” Jeff admits. “It’s that good.”

It also sounds like someone uses the visit from home as a way to play the game. Right on!

“And… not only is it emotional, but the loved one visit is directly connected to strategy and holy cow does it play out,” Jeff reveals. “I love [this] week’s episode.”

Sounds like a great episode. Check out the preview below and we’ll see you again for the episode tomorrow night. We’ll be here with live coverage and as usual, a full recap of the episode.
