Akihiro Sato Becomes the Sole Survivor

Brazilian-Japanese model Akihiro Sato was declared the First Celebrity Sole Survivor of Survivor Philippines on a live voting Friday, December 3.

The "Mr. Nice Guy" got 3 votes from Jon, Elma and Aira, while Solenn Heussaff got 2 votes from Ahron and Michelle and Ervic Vijandre got 2 votes from Moi Bien and Aubrey Miles.

Aubrey Miles Becomes the 7th Jury

Before the live voting for the Sole Survivor, the results of the votes for the 7th jury member was revealed. It was a tie between Aubrey and Akihiro who got three votes each, while Ervic and Solenn got 2 votes from the 6 members of the jury and three of the final four castaways.

To break the tie, the members of the jury and Solenn and Ervic had to do a re-vote between Akihiro and Aubrey. The results : Akihiro got 3 votes, Aubrey got 5 votes making her the 7th member of the jury.

For her final speech before snuffing her torch, Aubrey said, "We are not here to show who we are, we are here to play the game."

It was then a battle between Akihiro, Ervic and Solenn for the title and 3 Million Pesos prize.

For his speech, Akihiro said that he just did the right thing and showed a good example for the audience. Ervic said that he did his best to deserve the title while Solenn said that she came from a broken tribe and broke a lot of alliances as she remained the last girl and the last Magan standing.

The friends and loved-ones of the final three also gave their speech to appeal to the jury.

Louie, Solenn's father said that she should win because she was fair, good and she was her daughter. According to Aki's friend, Joseph de Leon, the model needs it the most and he would donate to charity if he wins. Ervic's mom, Vicky said that the model-athlete sacrificed a lot for joining and their support and love for him remain.

The Final Vote

Jon cast his vote first and said that he votes not for charity but because of being the most deserving. Aira was impressed with the performance of who she was voting for. Michelle was also impressed with what the castaway did during the final challenge. Ahron voted for someone who never gave up. Elma voted for someone who was most deserving for her and the Filipinos. Moi voted for someone who used both mind and heart, while Aubrey voted for someone who was most deserving.

Richard read the results and it was head-to-head - a triple tie until the last vote that went to Akihiro Sato.

Akihiro Is The First Philippines Celebrity Sole Survivor!

Congratulations! Akihiro for winning the first Celebrity Sole Survivor here in the Philippines!

During the live season finale of Survivor Philippines Celebrity Showdown last night at GMA studio, Akihiro received 3 votes from the 7 jury members, enough for him to win the title. He bested Ervic Vijandre, Solenn Heusaff and Aubrey Miles.

This is what went down during the finale:

Aubrey Miles became the 7th jury member after a nail-biting tie-breaker between her and Akihiro Sato was held.

Both Aubrey and Akihiro received 3 votes for elimination from the 6 jury members while Ervic and Solenn each got two vote-offs. The 6 jury members and now including Ervic and Solenn voted between Aubrey and Akihiro to break the tie. Moi, Solenn and Ervic voted off Akihiro but the rest voted against Aubrey, making the hot mama the 7th member of the jury.

Akihiro, Solenn and Ervic became the final 3 castaways vying for title and the cash prize of P3 million. The jury members (including the newest member Aubrey) cast their votes live once again and this time, they are voting for the one they want to win Survivor Philippines.

Episode 68: Countdown To Finale

This episode has taken a look at how each of the top 4 arrived at their respective positions. In a nutshell, these were their strategies:

Aubrey: Made "pakikisama" her strongest suit, not only building a strong alliance but also, befriending others to avoid being a target.

Akihiro: He didn't really have a specific plan, wanting just to enjoy the experience. His nice-guy attitude and his alliance downplayed his obvious physical strength, avoiding the "threat" image.

Ervic: His early strategy was to to be invisible so as not to draw attention to his physical strength. Instead, he built a strong alliance to one he trusted the most and started showing off his prowess in later challenges.

Solenn: Quiet but alurring, this half-French, half-Pinay showed that she can take on the hardships of life in Survivor. She wasn't fussy and was very cooperative. She flew from alliance to alliance to get herself farther in the game.

How do you find their game play? Do you feel any of them played dirty? If so, in what way?

Finale Interview

We are once again graced with the presence of one of the more popular staff during the production of SP in Thailand, Mr. Mystery Camper. As we countdown to the finale, he shares to us his thoughts, comments, clarifications, and rantings from this past SPCE.

Do you miss the island? Sobra dahil na ubos na rin ang Sang Som brandy bitbit namin. Joke lang. Anyway, I don't miss Thailand that much with all the Burmese references...did I say that out loud? Actually Doc Guia helped me a lot to cope up...I mean, not that I'm in some sort of condition. Look they told me that everybody had their consultation though no one ever mentioned their talk with doc. Umm...next question please.

On the popular issues about the show, which do you think was the biggest blindside in the game? It happened during day 2. Grabe yang si Princess. Hindi lang ang mga castaways na bigla pati ang staff at crew na blindside. It was totally unexpected. People scramble a bit sa pag adjust sa production kasi sudden.

PAGASA ba ang nagbibigay sa inyo ng weather forecast sa isla? Kasi palagi ata kayo binabagyo nung mga panahong iyon? Wala sa budget namin ang mga weather forecasters pero fortune tellers meron. So you think sablay sila? Well, they were right on the money every time. Tinatapat talaga sa ulan at malakas na hangin ang challenges. Hehehe.

Seeing the show in its entirety, would you say it was a fair approximate to what happened in the island? I think it was the same. Most of the days were like routine already. The CAs wake up, mag shovel, kain, magstrategize, tulog, and then you have the challenges and TC in between. You can't show every minute they were there in the island. You have to allot time kasi for commercials and RG's constant back and forth pacing during segments.

If anything worthwhile was edited, ilalagay na lang sa bonus feature ng DVD edition. Hehehe. Hayaan niyo. I will let you in with some of the never before seen footage in the next few days.

Most anxiety filled event during the season. That's easy Let me give you the backstory. The night before the challenge, RG was excitedly talking with us about this thing that he will "expose" during the challenge. He had something inside his pants that he will pull out during the challenge. He expected that the castaways and staff would be shocked and awe. It was going to be huge. He even made a circle with his two hands and only his finger tips touching each other then proudly exclaimed, "It's this big!". We were hesitant for him to do it not knowing how the castaways would react. So we thought we would have the shock of our lives as Richard faced Aubrey for the "great reveal" during the challenge. It was an immunity bracelet. What were we thinking?

Your reaction to the 7th jury member and live voting. Look, it wasn't my fault na maximum of six people lang pwede sa jury house. Yung iba nga natulog na lang sa additional mattresses. Tapos wala na palang budget for additional days. Ayun, bago ang final TC eh nag check out na mga jury members. Binihisan na namin ang final four kasi diretso na rin airport after TC. Tatapusin na lang daw sa Manila ang botohan ng sole survivor. OMG! I wasn't supposed to reveal that much. Then again, I wasn't supposed to reveal anything at all. Pwede ba ma edit?

Now that everyone knows about the live voting, shouldn't you just sequester again the jury? Well, matatanda na jury at may sariling pag iisip. We should give them the benefit of the doubt. Pero we already have put some "measures" into place. We have tapped the services of no other than Captain Barbel. We made our request through RG kaya ok na iyon.

Castaway with the most unrealized potential to win? People may have thought of Buwi, Ian or Ahron pero another person stood out. Si Doc Ferds. He could have helped sa eating challege ng Magan noon. I heard na nung nag college siya sa Los Baños eh pulutan nila ang mga insekto. Tapos tama lang na siya ang nagbuhat ng mga sacks of rice kaysa kay Nanay Elma kasi sanay na iyan umigib ng tubig sa mga palayan at dadalhin sa VetMed dorm para panligo. I can give so much more examples na ang ang experiences niya sa college ay makakatulong sana for him to get further in the game.

Kamusta na nga ba si Doc Ferds at ang ibang mga castaways after SP? Ah, may good news ako tungkol diyan. Aside from his regular stint sa BTBW at appearances sa UH, he is currently shooting....wait for it...Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Pets Edition. Siya ang host nun. Pero ang balita ko isa sa mga celebrity pets nag quit na wala pang two days: Princess' snail. I mean...how do yo say it in tagalog? Basta yung snail ni Princess di nakayanan ang hirap sa isla.

Any truth that the next season would be "Fans vs. Favorites"? Hindi pa sure kung ano ang tema next season. But a lot of things were suggested like Heroes vs Villains, Sa Pula vs Sa Puti at kung ano ano pa. Pero I have a suggestion that will rock your world...wait for it...Plants vs Zombies! Ok ba?

Last question before we go to a break, your rating of RG as the new host? Do you really want to hear the answer to that question? Joke lang. RG did his job with the best of his abilities. Thats all I need to say more.

Final Stretch to the Finale

It has been the most well-commented season of Survivor Philippines yet. From RG's capabilities as the new SP host, to Ervic's betrayal of Akihiro, the SP fandom became so involved in this game as proponents coming from both sides of the coin speak up, each balancing the scale with what they honestly believe should be.

As this especially tailored season for the Celebrity Showdown finally draws to an end this Friday Dec 3, the ultimate twist has been revealed: LIVE VOTING of the first Celebrity Sole Survivor. Episode 63: The Jury Starts To Vote

AKihiro: When you two guys has a problem,nobody care about you. But I went there and told you guys..

Ervic: Never ako nagpretend na nag-care ako sa inyo na pagkatapos pagnakatalikod kayo iba sasabihin ko..

Michelle: Im not sure about that.. but how you played the game.. your like a baby.. everytime may sasabihin kami sayo.. your like Aubrey, Aubrey, Aubrey.. sumbong right away.. In that I kind a lost my respect to you.. I'm sorry about that.

Ervic: Never ako nag.promise na sasama ako sa alliance nyo.. never ako nag-lie sa inyong dalawa..

Solenn: I was the quite one. Everyone never thought and even myself never thought that i've come this far... But I must have done something..

Aubrey: I know I play the hardest.. I probably not the smartest here but I am one of them.. so I played this hard.. lahat ng ilalabas ng utak ko nilabas ko.. from the first day..

Aira to Aubrey: First, I talked to you about Michelle. Na bigyan natin siya ng chance. Pero what happend.. ako yung vinote-out niyo..

Aira to Solenn: Para sakin deserving ka manalo pero nung nag.join ka ng alliance with Aubrey, Ervic and Akihiro.. parang I found out na wala kang sariling decision..

Solenn: ..you have to switch from alliance to alliance..

Akihiro: From the beginnig I told you are like bossy..

Aira: Na.hurt ako nung sinabi ni Ervic na pagiging bossy ko.. nag.open forum tayo about that.. siniraan mo ako na "do this, do that".. ikaw, ano ba ginawa mo sa camp?

Ervic: Ako nagawa ng unang bahay natin..

Aira: Not you.. Tumulang ka lang kay Akihiro..

Ervic: Wala pa si Akihiro nun. Nasa mystery island pa siya nun..

Aira: Tumutulung ka nga pero ano yung sinasabi mo.. na pinagkaka-isahan ka namin ni Karen.. Well si Karen kasi frank siya.. sinasabing tamad, batugan ka.Yun yung nakikita niya sayo..

Ervic: Kahit alam ko na mainit ang dugo mo sa akin.. tumulong pa rin ako sayo nung sa golden coins.. binigyan kita ng dalawa.. nagmalasakit din naman ako sayo..

Aira: Gusto ko lang linawin na hindi bossy ang tawag dun.. gusto ko lang tumululong.. yun lang..

Moi: Guys, bago ako mag.start napapansin ko, the way kayo sumagot sa jury huwag kayo makipag-away.. be nice to us guys.. kasi nasa amin ang inyong kapalaran.. kung wala kaming iboboto sa inyo, uuwi kayong luhaan.. ang hirap eh.. kasi hindi ako sanay sa ganito.. kasi happy akong tao.. Eto lang nasasaktan ako Ervic, strategy mo ba na paglaruan kami ni Ahron para makarating ka kung saan ka ngayon?

Ervic: Hind Moi.. Hindi ako naging peke sa inyong dalawa ni Ahron.. Mas matatang ko pa na mawala sakin ang 3 million kaysa sa pinagsamahan natin dito..

Ervic: Sinabi ko na sayo.. Sumusunod lang ako sa kanila..

Moi: Kung papipilin kita ngayon me and Aubrey, sino pipiliin mo at bakit?

Ervic: Nakapagbigay na ako ng pangako kay Aubrey. Kung tatalikuran ko si Aubrey, ano na ang pagkatao ko dito..

Moi: Sa ngayon, di ko nakikita na pinahahalagahan mo ako..

Ervic: Moi, hindi ako nakikipag-usap sayo ngayon para iboto mo ako.. nakikipag-usap ako sayo para ipakita sayo na totoo akong kaibigan..

Moi: ok.. cge goodluck.. yun lang..

Ahron: Sa inyong apat, sino ang hindi deserving manalo ng 3 million and to be the first celebrity sole survivor? Ayoko ng safe answer. Just be honest.

Aki: Me

Ahron: Why?

Aki: Coz I'm tired.. I tried to be true.. I feel so down.. I think they deserve more than me..

Aubrey: Sakin, laging sinasabi ni Aki na tired na siya.. then give someone else na willing na lumaban.. sayang naman ang chance ng ibang tao.. and for the record, para malaman nyo lang, one time kinausap ako.. sabi nya "me, you and Ervic, tayong tatlo if you want, let me win and I'll give you the money".. It's not even playing dirty, it's illegal.. ayoko ng ganon.

Ervic: Sinabi niya rin sa akin yun. Sabi niya "mag-usap tayo ng walang camera.. bibigyan ko kayo ng pera, dalhin niyo lang ako kasi sure winner na ako"...

Aki: I said that?

Aubrey and Ervic: Yes, You said that..

Ervic: Kasi walang camera nung sinabi mo yun..

Aubrey: For me, respect the game. Unfair for us. Sana you're buying votes na lang. Unfair for others na they work hard..

Ahron: And Ervic, bakit hindi mo kay Moi binigay ang immunity bracelet, which is for me, mas deserving cya kaysa kay Aubrey.. Nung 1st tribe pa lang tayong lahat, sino ba ang kumausap sayo una.. si Moi yun. Di mo ba nakita ang pagiging totoo ni Moi sayo nun kaya kay Aubrey ka sumama? or Alam natin si "Aubrey Miles" sikat. Pag sa kanya ka dumikit, mas pag-uusapan ka ng mga tao..

Ervic: Hindi, wala sakin yung sikat siya at si Moi hindi sikat..

Ahron: Lalaki sa lalaki na tanong.. masasabi mo ba na wala kang sariling decision at sumunod ka lang sa sinasabi ni Aubrey?

Ervic: Pare eto.. Ipinaglaban ko na ayoko na ikaw ang sunod dahil nakapagbigay ako ng pangako sayo at isa pa hindi lang sa survivor.. dahil kaibigan kita..

Ahron: Nafeel tuloy namin na kinuha mo yung loob namin ni Moi, then bandang huli, tatanggalin niyo rin kami..

Ervic: Hindi ko kinuha yung loob niyo para maging ka-alliance nyo.. hindi ko kinuha ang loob niyo dahil sa game.. kinuha ko yung loob niyo dahil gusto ko kayong kaibigan.. yun na lang.. sana ano man ang naging desisyon ko dito sa game na ito.. sana mapatawad niyo ako..

Ahron: Hindi masama ang loob ko.. medyo kay Ervic na disappoint lang.. so gudluck..

Jon: I knew I was gonna be the target.. you Akihiro, you're a nice guy. I respect you a lot. You showed me that you play with your heart. You didn't come to this game to play dirty.. you told me you are not going to vote me out. You also said that you wont vote for mama El. Did you vote for mama Elma?

Akihiro: I vote.

Jon: I also told that you don't like me, the way I play the game. Remember the Endurance Challenge.. You said I talk **** about her(Elma).. When did I talk about her?

Solenn: During that time, I even judge you.. like why is Jon being like that to mama El.. she's a woman and should respect her.. and then I realized that your the only one playing the game..

Jon: You guys come here to play. You signed a contract. What you guys come here to play?

Solenn: Survivor

Jon: Exactly.. And all of you, everyone of you put down of me because of how I play the game. And you (Akihiro) said you don't like me because of how I play the game?

Akihiro: I'm just saying no. I don't deserve to win coz I put mama El there.

Jon: That disappoints me because everyone here, you're the most deserving.

Akihiro: My point is after I've done this, I don't deserve..

Jon: Ervic, you said that you stayed in your endurance challenge for Elma. But two tribal councils you said that you gave up because you're sure that he's (Akihiro) gonna win then you have no alliance. You (Ervic) think you're running the show? You think that it was your plan to vote me out. She (Aubrey) from the beginning, she knew she should get rid of me and Michelle. And you (Ervic) think when we got to the merge, it was your plan? And there was Aira, you said that it was your decision and strategy to vote her out? The whole time you were just her (Aubrey) pet. So why does Aki got the necklace.. Because you don't deserve here.. I'm right.. Believe me.. And Solenn.. you said you have your goal. What was your goal?

Solenn: To win this game.

Jon: How?

Solenn: I just to prove something to my family and friends.. I don't know anything about the game.. I think I did well coz I am here.. Maybe I did a mistake and I won't win. I'm just happy I'm here top 4. I tried my best and I'm here so that's enough for myself.

Akihiro: When I was with Moi, they kick me out because they have Solenn to win. Why they vote Moi Instead of me? Because they know. It's easy for Solenn to win.

Solenn: I think I pretty much know who's everyone going to vote for the night.

Jon: Nobody here played and nobody know's here what was going on. The 1st first to play the game was Aubrey. It doesn't mean you (Aubrey) deserve. You (Aubrey) said that you join the show because you want to be with your kid.. Mama El got a story as well. Everyone said that don't take it personally. You made it personal when you brought my name up here and said that I would play dirtier than anybody here. Why did you say that?

Aubrey: Cause I know you can play this.

Jon: Don't act like you know me.

Aubrey: I mean you can play this.

Jon: Regardless if you don't like me, regardless you think I'm a bad guy.. When I was with Nagar, we were undefeated until you (ervic) came along. Your useless. You (Ervic) did nothing for our tribe. You want to have a name for yourself.. You want your identity.. You do anything for yourself?..

Ervic: Kung yan ang iniisip mo.

Jon: That's what I know. Everyone knows. That's what everyone knows after the show.. Well, I'm done.

Closing Remarks:

Aubrey: Sorry guys ulit, kung hindi ko man kayo ma.convince sa boto niyo then, sorry na lang sakin. Pero alam ko na ginawa ko lahat ng makakaya ko sa game na ito. Hindi ako nambastos ng tao, wala akong ginawang illegal, sinunod ko lang yung game. And nagpapasalamat ako, kung di niyo ako iboto, ok lang dahil alam ko at tanggap ko kung ano ang nangyayari dito sa show. And salamat.. Sana yung boto niyo wag niyong sayangin. Sana mag-isip muna kung sino ba talaga yung nag-isip at deserving para rito at kailangan niya.

Akihiro: One thing, I didn't say I don't like you (Jon). I just don't like the way you play because I didn't understant, but now I understand. Thank you. You (Jon) a nice guy and a good heart. I respect you. I respect all of you. I didn't say I don't like you as a person.

Ervic: Hindi ko man makuha ang boto niyo ngayon, isa lang ang gusto ko ngayon makuha, ang mga kaibigan ko. Ok na sakin na hindi ako manalo ngayon. Basta makuha ko lang ang mga kaibigan ko. Yun lang ang mahalaga sakin ngayon.

Solenn: I have said everything I had to say to everyone. If you have more question, you can ask me. I'll be 100% honest with everything. Like I said, it's not about the story coz if it's about the story then I don't deserve to be here.. others will do. This is about the game and how you played. I maybe played it safe but I ended up playing it. I mean this is a big responsibility on your shoulders with the 3 million on the side. So goodluck to you guys.

Episode 62: The Fab Four Makes Their Case

It’s now the final Tribal Council. Richard bid the Top 4 into the hall. All glammed up, Aubrey, Solenn, Aki & Ervic made their way to their respective seats. Shortly after, the jury entered. The jury girls were also dressed to party while the boys opted for casual wear. Once everyone was seated, the Top 4 were given a chance to address the jury.

Solenn: A solemn Solenn calmly explained that all of them are not perfect and each one did things not to be proud of, but she does not judge them because it’s the nature of the game. She hoped that they will equally be understanding of her & her actions. “At first I wanted to join Survivor to prove something to myself, not for the prize money ‘coz I really didn’t think I’d come this far. I don’t think any of us are saints here, I can point out to every single one of us here. Like I can give (examples)... Me & Michelle tried to make Aki go against Aubrey and Aira, all the girls in Sar Mayee, because we said they’d vote him out. Aira & I had a strong alliance (but) I voted her out, I played dirty. She tried to get Michelle to vote Ervic out but then told everyone else to vote Michelle out, so she played dirty. Respect to her. Jon, example, you trash-talked to Mama El during the sandbag thingy. Did I judge you then? Yes. Did you do the right thing? Yes, because you were trying to get into her mind, you were trying to play the game. Would you do that in real life? I don’t think so. Mame El, we started (in) Magan together, we promised a lot to each other and we made it this far together like we said we would and then we said ‘Bahala si Batman’ which is what we did. I voted you out, you voted me out. Same thing. So everyone has to vote someone out at some point of the game. And you wanna reach your goal, it’s kind of like playing soccer. Playing soccer with your best friend, it’s a friendly game, fine. But throughout the game, you’re gonna stumble, you’re gonna fall, you’re gonna get back up. You’re gonna do everything that you need to, to get that freaking ball in the goal. You’re not gonna say ‘Hey, we’re friends so let’s try to split the ball in half so we can both score.’ It’s not how it works. This is a game and I think, like I’m sorry if I hurt anyone, like I’m really sorry but this is how the game goes and you shouldn’t take it personally. At the end of the day, I played the game and this is why I think I deserve to be the next Celebrity Sole Survivor.”

Ervic: He started off by thanking the members of the jury, acknowledging that he was there in part because of them. “Gusto kong umpisahan yung speech ko sa inyo ng pasasalamat. Gusto kong magpasalamat sa inyo dahil naging makulay yung karanasan ko dito sa Survivor. Alam ko na maaaring hindi ako tumagal ng ganitong katagal kung hindi sa bawat isa sa inyo, na nakasama ko kayo sa mga hirap. In some way, nakapagbigay kayo ng lakas ng loob sa akin, (sana) kahit papaano, naka-apekto rin ako sa inyo, na nakatulong din ako sa inyo. Gagawin ko lahat ng pwede kong magawa para maabot ko yung, kung ano man yung narating ko ngayon. Na kahit na makasakit ako ng mga nagging kaibigan ko dito, na alam ko naman sa totoong buhay, hindi ako ganito. Hindi ko magagawang tumalikod gaya ng sinabi ko, hindi ako ganitong kaibigan na iboboto kayo sa totoong buhay. Saka nandirito din ako para makakuha ng karangalan at respeto para sa sarili ko. Na alam ko, ito show na ‘to, maaaring makabigay sa akin ng respeto na gusto ko para sa sarili ko. Kung ano man yung nagawa ko, kung ano man yung ikinasakit ng loob niyo sa pagboto ko or sa pagtalikod ko sa inyo nung kailangan nyo din yung boto ko, sana maintindihan nyo na ginawa ko yon dahil sumali ako dito, kagaya ng bawat isa sa atin dito, na may misyon ako para sa pamilya at para sa sarili ko. So, humihingi ako ng tawad sa inyo kung nasaktan ko kayo.”

Akihiro: He was clearly trying to keep his emotions in check, but his voice was cracking as he said: “I joined Survivor because I want to believe in myself, I can just have fun. I can show myself for (the) audience, who true I am. Because people see me as having a lot of money, I have an amazing life, but nobody know about my family. When, ah, I think the hard part for me, when I see someone in my family I really respect, my brother. I ask my Mum, why? My brother cannot, don’t run, don’t walk. Because, he has a problem. I think his heart. You think it’s fun leave my family there? So hard, I really work so hard. I am best person. I don’t care about the game, I don’t care about what people would think about me right now. I care about the true (taps his hand on his heart). This is most important: heart. Control with your mind, be strong. I learned a lot about Jon, because at first time when you didn’t get me with your team, you got her. Wow, I wanted to be in your team. But I learned in matches and in the end we come together and I learned about you & Michelle. Because people see you guys, say like, Jon doesn’t care about anyone. And he proved for everyone here, the most important’s not the game, it’s love. You guys show to everyone now, in front of everyone, what’s more important is love. The game, it’s a game. Nanay Elma, did a lot. All day, each day, she was. And (had) she not (been) here in the game, for sure in her house, she do the same. Ahron, man, you give the best moment in Survivor, to realize what you did for your father. I think everyone’s here deserve. Everyone’s here, work hard. I just you know, I just tired of the game. I just tired, I just want to be done. Thank you so much, sorry, I don’t want to talk about it anymore. I just thanks you guys, it’s your decision, but God bless you everyone and thank you.”

Aubrey: Standing proud and determined, she addressed the jury thus: “Para sa akin, dalawa lang ang gusto kong patunayan: Why I deserve to win, to be the Sole Survivor-Celebrity, and kung bakit ako sumali and why I need this. Ako, ang mapu-prove ko sa sarili ko, I’m a team player. Na siguro kung naiisip nyo, dirty player ako, siguro dahil part yun ng show na ‘to. Pero team player ako, first, nung nag Sar Mayee ako, with Aira, alam niya lahat ginawa ko. Sumunod ako sa iyo, dahil ikaw ang leader. Alam mo yan. Inuutusan mo ako, payag ako, dahil talaga namang ok sa akin yun, dahil wala naman sa akin yun, eh. Ikaw din inuutusan din kita, ganun naman tayo. Second Sar Mayee, nag-schoolyard (pick) tayo, dahil kinuha ko si Jon, dahil lahat tayo, alam natin yan. Lahat tayo gusto nating ma-vote out si Jon. So kinuha ko siya para sa lahat. Dahil gusto ko, lahat tayo matuwa. Honestly (looks at Jon) I’m proud of you dahil ikaw ang pinaka-strong dito. Everything, mind, physical, endurance. Let’s face it. So yung mga gano’n, pinlano ko kung bakit ako nandito. Nasaktan ako nung sinabi ni Aki, (faces Aki) you said I’m here because of you. You don’t have the right. Ako, I’m here because of me. Kung (sakaling) nag-quit ako, because of you? No. (It’s) Because of me nag-quit ako. I’m here dahil ginawa ko lahat. I experienced umulan, umaraw. I’m here, hindi dahil sa ‘yo. Ako. You don’t have the right. I respect your story because I have my own. Sa inyo, hindi ko alam kung nababasa nyo ako. Ako, gusto ko lang, nandito ako. Second, heto na sasabihin ko why I joined Survivor, why I need this. These 3 (points to the other top CAs), so lucky, meron silang parents. May magulang sila. Ako, since 15 years old, my parents broke up, they separated. 15 years old, I’m 30 years old (now), half of my life, I’m the breadwinner. I don’t need your sympathy, naaawa kayo sa akin? Hindi ko kailangan. Gusto ko lang gawin ‘to dahil as a mother, alam natin na, we’ll do anything for our child. May issue ako sa ex ko na may two-weeks, two-weeks na issue kami ng anak ko. Kasi I need to be a better provider. This is my chance to have a brand new life with my kid. If you give me a chance to be with my kid every day, araw-araw ng buhay ko pasasalamatan ko kayo. Hindi ko alam yung may mga anak sa inyo, hindi ko alam. Pero for me, I don’t work anymore, and that’s fine, dahil pinili ko yon. But for me, you give me a chance to be with my son every day, pasasalamatan ko kayo buong buhay ko. Yun lang.” As a tear falls down her cheek, she walked back to her seat.

The Jury's Moment

Elma

The first up was a tearful Mama Elma. For each of them, she had the same statement: “I trusted you.” And then asked why they voted her off. The first one she questioned was Aki, asking if he was just instructed or if it came from his heart. Aki said that day he wanted to give Elma the necklace but chose to keep it because his alliance promised that they will stick together. “Everything I promised to you, I will do.” He said to Elma. She then turned to Solenn, who at first couldn’t quite look at her former Magan mate in the eye. And asked whatever happened to the high trust rating she gave to her. Solenn replied that it was all for the game and she can also ask the same question to Elma because she voted for Solenn. She then asked Aubrey which of her statements made to her were true. Aubrey replied that they were true but it when it came to the top 3 spots, she disagreed with Aki’s statement that it was because of her & Ervic that Aki made the vote. She said that Aki agreed to it. She also said that both of them have their own needs. She then said that Aki played the nicest guy but the others are not aware of what he was saying behind their backs. She also said that Aki’s true colors were shown when he thought he was about to be voted off. Elma then castigated Ervic for all the favors she gave to him and he didn’t say a proper good bye to her when she was casted out. To his defense, he said that he did try to stand to give her a hug but she was walking too fast for him to get a hold of her. He also made an effort to get her into an alliance but he found out that she was making arrangements with Aki & Aubrey already. As Ervic related it, Aubrey asked Aki, “Aki are you sure? Because if we bring Mama Elma, you have no chance.” To which Aki replied “Ok, we bring Ervic.” And he was adamant that the conversation took place. In the end, Elma needed to pour out all her heartaches at the remaining four so she can move on.

Michelle

She asked Aki if he regretted allying himself with Aubrey & Ervic instead of her & Jon. Aki said at the beginning all he wanted to do was win immunity. Everyone was saying “trust” them. He just wanted to have fun and the voting was decided upon by others, not him. Ervic disputed Aki’s statement, saying he doesn’t believe anyone playing Survivor is unaware of how it’s played, that people will choose friendship over themselves staying in the game. Michelle then tried to be lawyer-like recalling that they said friendship was more important than 3 million in a previous TC. Aubrey acknowledged that yes, friendship WAS important, but 3 million was NEEDED. Ervic then questioned Aki’s sincerity by asking, if heart is what is most important and not the game, how come he was acting out when he thought he was the one to go? It just meant that Aki was also playing the game, only using a different strategy. The exchange between Ervic went on and on and Michelle had to butt in “Ok, you guys can fight after the show”. Michelle then asked Solenn if she thought she had a better chance at winning if she allied herself with the present company instead of building one of her own. Solenn replied that she really didn’t have an alliance to begin with so when an opportunity presented itself, she took it.

She saved her best for last. She said to Aubrey that she was talking poo-poo about her and Jon since the beginning of the game, taking things on a personal level, and he was her ex, etc. To which Aubrey replied that she was only stating a fact, that she was his ex and never did she said that Jon was bad. What she did say that if Jon was in the top 6, he can win the game. When the others asked Aubrey if Jon was really like what they see in the game, it was she that said no, Jon isn’t like that in real life. Michelle kept insisting that Aubrey was saying nasty things about the two of them and Aubrey kept reiterating that what she was saying was that “Guys, we have to vote for Michelle and Jon because they are two votes. Hindi siya paninira” “Exactly!” Michelle interjected. “It’s a strategy. It’s not pansisira ng personal, it’s the game!” She then looks to Jon “Hindi kita siniraan. Alam nila yan. Sinabi ko na kaya mo ganito, na hindi ka masamang tao. Wala akong sinabing ganyan.” “Kay” Michelle whispered. “Kung sa tingin mo na sinabi kong magka-relasyon kami at i-vote out kayo, hindi siya kasiraan, it’s part of the game.” “It’s not...it’s not (mumbles)” “I’m sorry” “Ok, thank you. Last question, bakit sa tingin nyo dapat ko kayong iboto?”

Episode 62: Friend Or Foe

Previously...After the last TC that saw Moi unexpectedly leaving their midst, Akihiro alienated himself further from his fellow top finishers.

The Jury Welcomes their last Member

Moi fresh from being voted out was warmly greeted by Jon, Michelle, Ahron, Elma & Aira in the Jury House, although they kept on blurting out how smelly she was (Ang baho!! LOL). They prepared a spaghetti dinner for her to enjoy in her first night outside the island.

Unang Hirit sa DAY 36
At the start of their last morning in the island, Day 36, RG awaken the final 4. Recognizing him with sleepy eyes, Akihiro, Aubrey, Ervic & Solenn greeted him enthusiastically. The veritable SP host carried with him an album with the pictures of the four taken from their previous challenges to reminisce their moments in the island.

After which he instructed the final four to save anything they want to take back to Manila from their camp before they totally burned down their shelter and everything with it, including bad memories, grudges & negative emotions. (For the boys: sorry guys the burning didn't include Aubrey & Solenn's articles of clothing, the hot mama & diwata ng isla kept their clothes on :D)

Path of the Floating Lotuses

Down by the river, the top 4 took a boat ride following the unlit torches of their fallen comrades. As the name tags were removed from the torches, they said only nice words to their fellow CAs, starting with Princess:

On Princess: Solenn- bunso, fun; Aki-smart to leave on second day

On Doc Ferds: Solenn- unfortunate not to be given an opportunity to stay longer; Aki- deserved their respect

On Myka: Solenn- the funny one in the group & always cooked for them;

On Buhawi: Solenn- humble guy, 'kuya' to everyone; Ervic- if given a chance he might be in top 4

On Karen: Solenn- very funny with her expressions, open-minded, yoga enthusiast

On Trizsa: Solenn- definitely a character; Aubrey- still be friends back home; Ervic- thanked him for moments of laughter even through hunger

On Mico: Aubrey- despite not given the chance to be tribemates felt he was friendly & always ready to smile; Solenn- the first guy she became close with, lending her his shirt whenever hers was wet, but she had to play her game; Ervic- got close to him earlier in the game

On Ian: Aki- friend even before Survivor; Ervic- one of the barkada he made friends in the island

On Jon: Solenn- one of the most hardworking players in the game but lacked social skills, could have gotten far; Aubrey- whatever happened in the game she was hoping he wouldn't take it too personally

On Aira: Aki- she was too special for him; Aubrey- looked up to her, she was strong-willed to win thus voted off but was hoping they'd be friends back home; Ervic- hoping for a chance to get to know each other more, & be friends back home

On Michelle: Aki- she showed who she really was; Aubrey- nothing personal, she respect them, they respect her, no problem with that

On Ahron: Aki- super friendly, a simple person; Ervic- one of his closest friend in the island, had a hard time voting him off, asking for understanding, after Survivor was hoping they'd still be friends

On Elma: Aki- a mistake to vote her off, he'd give her the immunity necklace so she could be with them, very honest, and gave honors for the Philippines; Solenn- she was really a mom to all, she taught her a lot, respected her for being the oldest but nicest one

On Moi: Aubrey- she has the edge to play the game because she had experienced hard life before: Ervic- his friend in the island & would be his friend forever, bid her love

Each of the name tags of their fallen comrades were put on a lotus flower candle, which the 4 lit & put afloat on the river.

From Rags to Glitz

After a grueling 36 days in the island, the raggedy four finally shed their shabbiness, with top designer Rhett Eala dressing them up to the nines to bring them back to glamour

The Jury Rise Up to the Occasion

In the Jury House, the sensational six was dressing up as well, preparing themselves for the showdown that has been on hold since Jon became the first jury member

Jon showed his draft of the lines he'd be saying to the top four, rehearsing for 2 weeks, ready to deliver his final blows

Michelle said that all of them were nervous in that they might not know how to start the questioning & being given the decision to vote for the rightful CA

Moi led a prayer that asked for guidance in their decisions to choose

Ahron wanted to focus on Ervic.

Episode 61: The Last Jury Member

Episode 60: The Last Stand for Immunity

Here are the Highlights:

RG explained that the challenge was both for reward & immunity, and on cue a brand new white Honda rolled out of the bushes & trees as the CAs delightfully eyed the surprise prize.

Akihiro, Aubrey, Ervic, Moi & Solenn need to stand with their feet on two uneven posts, with only a hand holding/touching on a central post where the immunity necklace was set for motivation. Any time that the hand (even one finger?) lost contact with the post signaled elimination of that CA from this challenge.

The changing climate (intense sun alternating with pelting rain), the incoming tide, muscle fatigue & cramps, awkward positioning & in Solenn's case the lacerated wound on her left foot undermined their endurance & determination.

Moi-lasted 4hrs 30m only because she absent-mindedly used her two hands to balance herself

Aubrey- lasted 5 hrs, came down (after Akihiro's time record of 4hrs 45m from the previous Taas Kamay Challenge) just to prove she could last longer

flashback: Amanda of SP Palau endurance challenge record: 5hrs 52m

Solenn- lasted 7 hrs conceded after realizing the 2 boys were more car-motivated & could last a day more than her

It was already dark & still the 2 boys were determined to outlast the other all for different reason: Aki for wanting to have the car, Ervic for being egotistic

After more than 10hrs, came the agreement between them: Aki would go down only if Ervic woud give the necklace to him to which he clearly agreed. Aki jumped down afterwhich RG declared Ervic the winner, setting a new SP record of 10hrs 53m.

Now the catch: Ervic could only choose one: the reward or the immunity. Disregarding his agreement with Aki, he chose the car for himself & gave the immunity necklace to the slightly surprised Aubrey, much to Aki's dismay

Back at camp, Aki distanced himself from Ervic, questioning himself why he aligned with the power couple now that he realized he was being used for their own gains.

In the dark, the master & commander justified their moves & decisions, now that Aki was acting aloof.

Day 35 at the Jury House:

Jon & Michelle read the skull mail hinting about a tattoo or a mark. Sure enough a local tattoo artist visited the Jury House and the couple opted to have new ones inked on their skins.

Nay Elma on the other hand was conversing with the resident psychologist. She knew very well that her tribemates were targeting her out of the game, she accepted her fate wholeheartedly, but she admitted the game took toll on her emotionally. She read an encouraging letter from her daughter & proclaimed that even though she didn't reach top 3: Survivor Ako!!

The Day after the Betrayal

Aki confided to Moi & expressed his frustration about not being treated as equal being part of the so-called power alliance of Aubrey & Ervic. He had been material to every decisions of the 2, & it now looked as if he had wronged them.

Episode 58: Lucky Moi, Crazy Elma

Aubrey woke up early & started digging near the trunk for the hidden Immunity Bracelet. She then stopped and when Elma woke so as not to arouse suspicion. Mama Elma wondered why she didn’t bother to prepare the cook fire since she was the first up. Our celeb athlete gathered firewood & still Aubrey didn’t lend a hand which caused Elma to grumble inwardly. When the others got up, the IB was also on their mind & they all started looking for it. Ervic thought of hiding one of the bolos to make it difficult for the others to dig. He also told Aubrey & Solenn not to be obvious with the alliance to prevent the others from ganging up & making a 3-3 tie at Tribal Council. Treemail arrived with more clues, Ervic read it and tried to misinterpret to lure the others in a wrong path but unfortunately for him, Aubrey didn’t get his tactic & started deciphering truthfully. But eventually the rest took the meaning that it was near the beach as the wordings were very obvious. Elma started digging frantically everywhere. Aki joined in, too, hoping to find the object for Elma. Moi tried to disrupt Elma’s search bby messily digging beside her so Elma moved away. Moi found it eventually. The others pondered on Moi’s luck. Ervic was pleased that she got it.

Dig Crazy

Everyone congratulated Moi on her luck, although Mama Elma was the clearly disappointed as she made the most effort in hunting for the IB. Her confidence shattered, she started acting out, digging in the sand, screaming for “balato” at the others, probably anticipating that she is next in the pecking order of cast-offs. She then demonstrated her prowess at track & field by jumping the big gap across the stream. The others were clearly impressed.

To alleviate the stress of the impending TC, Aki used the boat to offer some fun entertainment to keep their minds off what was to come that night. He wanted Nanay Elma not to think too much about it. While Aki, Moi & Elma was having fun, the remainder started scheming. They were saying Elma was confident of being in the top 3 because everyone else’s statements of support for her. But then they were saying that her ploy for sympathy is starting to get overdone, plus the “pasikat” antics were an act of desperation. As for the lack of financial support from the government, that was a government issue. Then they focused on Aki, who while seeming to declare he wasn’t in it to win, was clearly playing the game as well. Solenn, Aubrey & Ervic agreed to stick to the plan that they have.

Next, Aubrey started working on Aki by starting with a compliment for Elma. Then she pointed out Ervic’s seeming closeness with Solenn, which was a clear indication of a budding alliance. Aki said she was using her charms on Ervic. Aki thought she does not exert effort in the camp and was just happy to keep quiet.

Inner Grumblings At The Jury House

Back at Jury House, Aira & Michelle were getting snappish about Ahron and his lack of personal hygiene skills. They were saying he was diligent in keeping his shoes clean & white but couldn’t be bothered to get his own toothbrush. After a while the 4 jury members tidied up for the Tribal Council.

After the castaways arrived, the jury was introduced. Aira came in with swishing skirt, & Ahron came in last. Good thing they were not supposed to talk or else the toothbrush issue would have been very apparent.

“Do you deserve to be here in the top 6?” asked Richard of the remaining castaways. “I wouldn’t say were the strongest here but we are dong doing something right, I guess.” answered Solenn. The others are in agreement, each citing various reasons why they outlasted the others.

Episode 57: Akihiro's Third Immunity Win!

At the Jury House, the mood was quite different with Ahron around. Michelle said that Ahron was somehow clueless if he was already being offensive with the way he acts or talks, that’s why the rest of them would just avoid him. Michelle also relayed how Ahron has somehow found a “nanay-nanayan” with Moi at the camp, because she was the only one who could tell Ahron to be cautious of his actions.

Later that day, Jon noticed something moving inside their yard. He was hoping that it would be a snake, specifically a cobra and he was eager to catch it. But what he saw was a huge monitor lizard climbing on top of a tree. Jon successfully caught the reptile and tied its legs.

Still at the Jury House, Ahron had a visit from psychologist, Dr. Lilian Gui. He assured her that he was already fine after being voted off because it was all part of the game. He knew that he failed to make or become a part of a solid alliance. He said that he was too trusting as a person and he has somehow forgotten that he was still inside the game of Survivor. The doctor then handed him a letter from his father. Tatay Toto told Ahron how he felt his hardships in the island and he shouldn’t worry about his family, back at home.

Laglagan Challenge!

Back at Galone, the castaways all together read the tree mail for the next immunity challenge. Elma thought the challenge would have something to do about somebody falling.

At the challenge area, Richard greeted the castaways and asked how they were doing. Aubrey answered, “Masaya pa rin. (Still happy.)”

He inquired if they have already found the hidden immunity bracelet but they still haven’t. Richard said that they must find the bracelet especially because two castaways could get eliminated on the next tribal council.

Finally, Richard asked how Solenn’s foot was doing, and she said that it was getting better.

The mechanics: Each castaway would have an assigned Laglagan Board which was inspired by a pachinko machine. All they have to do is to drop two chips (initially) inside the transparent board. To avoid elimination, they must prevent the chips from falling to the sand. Aside from their chips falling, they must also make sure that there would only be one chip on their hand at an instant (at the first round) and a maximum of two chips in the succeeding rounds. The last castaway remaining will win.

Solenn thought that girls would have a better chance at this game because women had better coordination. However, she said that it was a fair game because everyone could do it. For Ervic, he was expecting that he would win this game to add up to his immunity win.

And they are off. The castaways dropped their chips one after the other nonstop. Their goal was to catch the chips. But Elma was the first castaway to drop out of the game. At the next round, Solenn lost after having two chips on her hand. She was surprised for not performing as well as she thought she would. Aubrey was next to drop out of the game, followed by Moi. It was again a head-to-head match between the two guys, Ervic and Akihiro. Ervic was confident that he would win because he has already found his rhythm. But even before Richard added the third chip, Ervic’s chip fell on the sand after bouncing to each other. Akihiro won another immunity challenge.

Ervic was visibly disappointed for losing as he threw his buff to the sand. Akihiro, on the other hand, thought that Ervic should be able to control himself more. Richard then awarded Akihiro the immunity necklace.

As they head back to the camp, Elma was worried after Richard announced that there could be double elimination for the next tribal council so they had to find the immunity bracelet.

Moi, the New Outcast?

Back at the camp, Akihiro noticed that Ervic and Moi walked towards the beach and talked, which made him feel sort of worried. Moi was upfront with Ervic as she told him that she already felt like being an outcast.

Moi    :    “Narealize ko nga kagabi, parang kawawa naman ako. Wala akong alliance, parang hindi n'yo ko pinapansin.”

Ervic    :    “Ano ka si Michelle, ikaw ba yan?”

Moi     :    “Hindi. Parang ikaw at si Aubrey, nag-uusap kayo palagi tapos ako parang naiiwanan. Kahit sabihin mo na sa akin na solid kayo ni Aubrey.”

Ervic then told Moi that Aubrey was the one there for him back at Sar Mayee when the other girls (Aira and Karen) were sort of ganging up on him. Ervic assured her that he was just loyal to Aubrey in the game, but in real life, Moi was his bestfriend.

“Gusto kong i-explain sa kanya na diretso na, Moi hindi mo ako aasahan na i-save ka dahil nakapagsalita na ako sa alliance ko na sa kanila ako until the end,” Ervic said.

About Elma and Aki

As they gather some oversized mussels, Ervic and Moi talked about how Elma was acting strangely. The two said that they were getting tired of hearing Elma’s life story. Ervic also noticed that Elma was “nagpapakitang gilas” or showing off some extra effort.

The next topic of their conversation then was about Akihiro. Moi said that the battle during the challenges was just between Akihiro and Ervic.

Ervic, on the other hand, was reluctant about voting off Akihiro. What he wanted was to beat Aki in the next immunity challenge then vote him off. This way he could prove that he was not weak.

Honesty

When Moi asked Ervic who would they probably vote off, the latter bluntly told her, “Malamang ikaw.” (Most probably, you.) Moi wondered why they would rather vote her off instead of Solenn. She said that she was not a threat if she would reach the final four, because she just won challenges by chance or luck.

But Ervic was keeping from Moi that his solid alliance was with Solenn and Aubrey.

“Iyon na ang secret game plan namin. Na si Solenn ang isasama at hindi si Akihiro,” Ervic said.

Aubrey knew that Ervic was trying to be honest to Moi, but she knew that she’s got his complete trust.

After eating the mussels, Ervic told Aubrey about his conversation with Moi.

The Crazies

Before nightfall, Aubrey pledged to do a dare – that she would run naked from a distant tree if she would reach the final three slots. Solenn willingly joined the dare too. Moi however was reluctant.

“Hindi ko alam ha, baka kasi mamaya walang manood sa akin, baka magpatay ng TV,” Moi said.

And because of that Ervic was more eager to fulfill their plan.

“Gusto ko talagang mapunta doon sa final three. Gusto kong magwork ang plan namin na kaming tatlo. Syempre ako lang ang iisang lalaki doon. Ako ang pinakaswerteng lalaki na makakakita kay Aubrey Miles at kay Solenn na tumakbong hubad,” Ervic said.

That night the remaining castaways partied like there’s no tomorrow at the camp. They did some helicopter spins and the girls even teased by showing off some skin.

Episode 56: Bounce Out!

Paching! Tonight, an immunity challenge inspired by the "pachinko game" tested the castaways concentration and "eye and hand" coordination (see playing video games may win you three million bucks). To add pressure to our castaways, one or two of them may be voted off in the upcoming tribal council making this the most important immunity to win at this point of the game.

The challenge placed everyone in a leveled playing field including the injured Solenn. It was not much of a physical or mental game and you only needed to do one thing: keep your eye on the bouncing chips (easier said than done). Each castaway drops chips from the top of the "glass pachinko board". Chips bounce off stationary sticks inside the board making it difficult to anticipate where they would end up at the bottom of the board. Chips would have to be caught at the bottom of the board and dropped again from the top. Initially, only one chip should be caught at any time and a maximum of two for the succeeding rounds. Failure to do so will lead to elimination. (Its during these times I wished I had one of those "blue prints" from the game show "A Minute to Win It" or if Ion has one of those mini-games).

Where your chips may fall. The first few rounds started with two chips. Sadly, one by one, the female castaways "bounced out" of the competition: Elma, Solenn, Aubrey, then finally Moi (in that order). This left only Aki and Ervic to claim the the title of "Pachinko King". Three chips didn't seem a challenge for the two so they leveled up to four chips. Ervic thought he could raise his game to five chips but fell short of his expectations (and throwing down his buff in disgust). Akihiro thus won his second consecutive immunity necklace. RG reminded the castaways that it had become clear that finding the hidden immunity bracelet is the only sure way to be safe from the possible "double elimination" tribal council.

Moi on the Outs? Moi knew her head was on the chopping board ever since Ahron left the previous tribal council. While collecting giant shellfish, Moi tried to sway Ervic but he was non-committed because of his tight alliance with the other castaways. Aubrey knew Ervic was giving hints to Moi but was not really revealing their entire game plan.

Top Three Promises: Exposed! It could have been a full moon that night which would explain why everyone wanted to act a little bit silly. Aubrey and Solenn promised to run naked in camp the night they reach top three. Erivc thought he hit the jackpot by having a final three alliance with the two girls. News Flash! A survey conducted of the male audience has now made it official: Ervic is the undisputed luckiest guy in Survivor Philippines history (Charles was the honorary second luckiest for being supposedly the only guy left in camp with Mika, Amanda, Jef, and Justine as well).

But the "craziness" did not end there as the castaways partied the night away (what the h*ll was in those seashells? "E" is so 2009). Then everybody agreed to do the "helicopter" and vertigo themselves into silliness.

Tomorrow. Elma aims for a Survivor Philippines record in long jump by leaping across a stream. Solenn feels that Elma has gone bonkers (it was probably because of the giant shellfish).

Unwelcome Ahron?

After being voted off and becoming the fourth member of the jury, Ahron arrived at the jury house and he was met with a not-so-warm welcome from the first three.

Aira admitted that they didn’t greet Ahron before he went upstairs.

“Si Ahron kasi, wala siyang sariling desisyon, nakisawsaw lang siya sa alliance. Hindi natin siya masisisi,” Aira said.

Ahron said that he was initially shocked entering the jury house realizing that he was already with the same persons he voted off. Still, he was glad because the three prepared shrimp pasta for him, which was his favorite.

Jon asked Ahron what his plan was after the merge. Ahron bluntly answered that he had no concrete plans because he just wanted to reach the merge. Aira got irritated with Ahron’s answer because he didn’t seem to care about his alliance, who probably wanted to go closer to the end.

After telling Ahron that he wasted a spot, Jon walked outside and said to the camera, “Like I said, idiot.”

“The attitude. I’m not sure if he doing it on purpose or is he really that ignorant?” Jon said.

Aira then told Ahron of what he should’ve done but she knew that it was already too late to point the blame to anyone.

Day 31
At the Galone camp, the search for the hidden immunity was on. Elma said that finding the hidden immunity bracelet would be a sense of security for her. But, Aubrey and her alliance were determined not to let Elma achieve her goal.

“Hindi ako natatakot for myself. Natatakot ako, ayokong masira ang plan. Natatakot ako para sa alliance ko. According to the plan ang mangyari at ang plano, huwag mahanap ni Mama Elma iyong bracelet,” Aubrey said.

Moi then got the tree mail regarding “heroes.” Solenn thought that it was going to be a brainy-type of challenge.

Finding Heroes

Richard welcomed the castaways to the challenge area and congratulated them for lasting an entire month in the island. Before explaining the mechanics of the game, he welcomed a special guest - multi-awarded and respected broadcast journalist Ms. Jessica Soho who had a special mission for the castaways.

Ms. Jessica reminded the castaways about the charities they said they would’ve wanted to help by presenting the video message of the institutions they selected.

For Solenn, it was the Cribs Foundation which served orphans and abandoned children and babies. Solenn said that she wanted to make the temporary shelter of the kids bigger. Aubrey got emotional upon seeing the video message for Solenn.

For Akihiro, his foundation was Gawad Kalinga that builds houses for the homeless. The GK representative said that the Brapanese model has been a consistent volunteer and advocate. Akihiro said that when he got to the Philippines, he has always supported the cause because it would help a lot of families.

As an animal lover, Aubrey’s charity was Paws Animal Rehabilitation Center which takes care of 500 stray cats and dogs a year. Aubrey said that instead of buying pets, people could adopt these animals and give them a new home instead.

For Elma, her charity was for the welfare of the abandoned, neglected or homeless senior citizens. It was Golden Acres home for the aged. Elma said that she feels for the parents who were abandoned by their children even if they could financially support them. She wanted to make them feel loved even if she was not related to them.

Ervic’s charity was the Vincentian Missionaries Social Development Foundation or VMSDF that helps children with disabilities, the aged and parents. Ervic said that he would do anything to help the foundation.

Moi chose Hebreo Foundation that helps the students that had difficulty funding their education. Moi said that she wanted the institution close to her to be proud of her. It was also an institution supported by the Pascual family.

Before the challenge proceeded, Ms. Jessica expressed her appreciation for the castaways for their willingness to help the foundations. Richard presented the reward which was 500 thousand pesos, half of which would go to the charity the winner of the challenge picked.

Name Game

For the first leg of the game, the castaways had to look for 20 color-coded names – (10 real-life heroes and 10 – fictional heroes) hidden and scattered within the forest. After completing the name tags, they would look for these names on a word-search puzzle board. The first castaways to find the twenty names first, would win the cash prize. The castaways had to pick their color first before looking for the hero name tags.

And the game was on. The castaways run through the forest to get their name tags scattered on trees. Elma said that looking for the name tags proved to be quite dangerous because the branches of the trees could hit them even in the eyes. The search for the name tags also took some time before they were able to complete them.

While looking for the name tags, Solenn got wounded on the sole of her right foot. But she got to complete the name tags and proceeded to the puzzle board first, followed by Moi and Akihiro. Elma and Aubrey were last to complete the name tags.

The castaways then started crossing out the names on the board. Solenn continued playing despite her foot bleeding profusely. However, it was Moi and Ervic who eventually took the lead in the word-search puzzle. It was a close match between Ervic and Moi, but the latter was declared the winner after crossing out the 20 names after 21 minutes.

Ervic said that he was very close to winning the reward that’s why he was a disappointed. Despite losing, Solenn said that she was still happy because Moi won for the kids who needed education.

Moi said that ever since she was a child, she always wanted to finish her studies, and she wanted the same thing for the students and the young people so they would have better opportunities in the future.

Ms. Jessica Soho then gave her message to the castaways.

“Doon pa lang sa ipinamalas ninyong katatagan, matatawag na rin kayong hero. Ang tao pala kahit nasa-subject to the harshest conditions, hindi nawawala ang desire para makatulong pa rin sa ibang tao, lalo na ang mga kapus-palad. Hinahangaan ko kayo ng lubos,” Ms. Jessica said.

Solenn’s Emergency

Back at the camp, the castaways resumed their search for the hidden immunity bracelet. Aubrey said that she was just helping out her alliance to look for the bracelet because there was no point for her to have two. Solenn, meanwhile, was limping as she walked around the camp.

Doctor Katrina Gatbonton attended to Solenn and told her that her open wound probably needed stitching.

Solenn got worried because she was so close to the end of the game to have met a medical emergency. Ervic also got concerned after finding out that Solenn needed to go to the hospital.

“Si Solenn ang alliance namin na parang solid, pero hindi alam ng mga ibang castaways,” Ervic said.

Before she headed to the hospital, Ervic approached her and told her that she needed to stay with them at the camp. Ervic assured Solenn that she didn’t need to win the next immunity challenges because she already had a strong alliance.

At the hospital, Dr. Ryan Collantes said that Solenn had a one-centimeter laceration. He said that even with the gauze, the bleeding didn’t stop. The doctors advised Solenn that she shouldn’t walk and keep her foot elevated. They also decided to stitch the wound to close the laceration and stop the bleeding.

Solenn said that the procedure was more painful than what she initially thought. But at the hospital, she was also worried about what could happen to her in the game.

“I was thinking how I will get to the top. How can I make sure that they are not lying to me also. Maybe all of them were talking about me to vote me out,” Solenn said.

Immunity Challenge Continuation

Ervic, Solenn, and Akihiro were the only three left standing. Heavy rain and strong winds had pass. Solenn thought that Ervic and Akihiro might be gentlemen and let her win the Immunity Challenge but after a while, she took Chard's offer and lowered down her arm. The Endurance Challenge had now consumed 3 hours and 35 minutes, Chard announced. It was then between Ervic and Akihiro. Few minutes passed someone lowered his arm, it was Ervic.

Akihiro won the Immunity Challenge.

Aki: "Proud ako kasi it was the hardest challenge for me."

Everyone was now back to camp. No one speak up for the Tribal Council and everyone was "nakikiramdam lang". Aubrey and Ervic had a talk and decided to have Ahron's name on the Tribal Council. On the other hand, Moi and Ahron picked up Aubrey's name.

Episode 53: It’s Getting Tight

Aki suspected a new alliance brewing between Nanay Elma & Aubrey which prompted him to go with the two to get firewood so he can talk to them away from the camp. He blatantly declared that he wanted the three of them to be in the top 3. Aubrey wasn’t expecting such direct statements from him & she was scrambling for a convincing, non-committal reply which was difficult because Aki wanted to get a concrete answer from her. Mama Elma was only too happy to be included in an alliance. Aubrey was very confident with her alliance but because the crowd was getting tighter, she was weighing who to keep for a while and who to let go. Aki was really testing Aubrey if she has a new alliance. He was being honest when he said he wanted Elma to win, he only wants to make it till the finals. But then he also gave his word to Ervic that he will not vote for him.

Jury Deliberates Early

While enjoying their fried chicken, Jon was anticipating Aubrey’s next moves. He expects the Hot Mama to get rid of the Running Mama because the former doesn’t have a chance with the jury with the latter by her side. Already, the three present members of the jury will give the vote to Elma if she makes it to the finals. Jon acknowledged that nobody but Aubrey was using her head in the game. She made alliances left and right so she can go either way, plus, she had an immunity bracelet. “She’s doing this for 3 million pesos.” But then again, it’s only Aki who seemed not to, right?

Solenn’s Talent Fee

Moi was curious about Solenn’s fee when she paints people’s faces and make them look good. Apparently, she gets paid a lot, so ya’ll shouldn’t be too stingy with your 20-50 peso tips for your stylist because some people can charge way, waaaay more. Aubrey continues to weigh in on her. Ervic’s reason for getting Solenn was because she was already rich, so less sympathy votes. But then, countered Aubrey, she is also likable and hasn’t hurt anyone’s feelings this far into the game, so that can be a disadvantage for them.

Pinay Parvati (with less blatant firtling)

Morning came and Elma woke up first. She prepped the clay pot to cook the rice and then put on her rubber shoes for a jog. With every lap, she comes back to check on the status of the rice. As a serious athlete, she brought to the island with her the same discipline she had back home with the routine workouts. Later on Aubrey got Ervic alone and confided the Aki conversation of the day before. She did change one teensy detail about Aki’s pledge not to vote him out. She used that to convince Ervic to vote out Moi & Ahron first so that Aki & Elma cannot turn to another alliance against the two of them. For Ervic’s part, even though he is friends with Aubrey’s primary targets, he reminded himself that he joined to play to win. Also, he already gave his word to his alliance.

Back at camp, Aki repeats his earlier opinion that Elma should win top prize because among all the 7 who remains, everyone else was young and have good careers. Mama Elma feels appreciative of Aki’s sentiments. “(I) Just (want to) go to the end, I hope. Pero, ahh, I just want to help Nanay Elma, that’s it.” Mama Elma then started relaying to Aki how she encourages her kids to excel in sports so they can get scholarships that would lead to good education for them. “She has a good heart.” Aki confided. Meanwhile, Solenn & Ervic continues with the planning and strategizing.

Put Your Hands In Da Aiyah! (uhuh, uhuh) Like You Jus’ Don’ Caiyah! (uhuh-uhuh)

Treemail arrived for the clue about the next Immunity Challenge. Ervic correctly guessed it as an endurance challenge. Each one was to stand on a piece of suspended wood with one of their hands manacled to a chain that connects to a balanced bucket above them. Should they put that hand down, the bucket tips out the colored water on them and they are eliminated. Within the hour, a storm arrived and pelted the castaways with wind and heavy rain. The cold started to creep in. Solenn was jumping up & down to keep warm (yet another excuse for lingering shots of her tattoo, this time, at the lower back). When the storm passed, Richard tried to bribe them with a plate of double-cheeseburger, fries and ice-cold soda. No takers. Some of them even refused to look at the food, lest they be tempted. At 1 ½ hours, another storm came, increasing their suffering. People are visibly shaking this time. As Richard looked on, one wonders if he also wished for the challenge to end as he is made to suffer the weather along with the castaways. Dusk came and the second bribe is brought out. This time it was chicken, salad & hot coco. Aubrey took the bribe, making her the first to fall. After 2 and a half hours, rain started to pelt them again, but now, it’s already dark. Moi gave up, followed by Ahron, then Elma. It’s now down to Aki, Ervic & Solenn.

Episode 52: The Joke’s On Mama Elma

Day 28

While lounging in their shelter, Moi asked Aubrey for some stories. One of the boys asked her how she & Jon broke up. She did say that Jon was soft spoken with her, was nice and a one-woman man. Jon was really serious with her but she got tired of his lack of personal direction. While she didn’t mind paying for his groceries and cleaning up his condo at the start but she noticed that he was just content to stay that way. He even wanted to have kids with her but it was during the start of her career and she had no intention of settling down back then. She broke up with him and after a few months started going out with Troy. Jon and she met again one day & he wanted to get back with her but she was already happy with Troy.

Later on, Ervic convinced Aubrey to pull Solenn into a circle of 3. His logic was that she was already rich so the jury might favor either one of them. He promised not to let his emotion decide for him in the voting and make his loyalty to his alliance his main strategy. On the other hand, Solenn was being pragmatic herself, seeing she had a better chance against the two, rather than standing with Elma & Moi.

The "Bracelet"

Galone got a treemail. “Gamitin ang mga mata, sundin ang mga babala...” it started. It described that another Immunity Bracelet is hidden somewhere. Immediately Elma started looking for it with such desperation. Moi narrated that the Track & Field champ was feeling jealous because she hasn’t won anything for herself yet. The new circle of 3 determined that she must not get the IB because they want to target her next. Everyone went their own ways to look for the precious bracelet. Everyone that is, except for Aki, who was happy with his nap. The others quickly tired of the search, except for Mama Elma. Then Moi had an idea to play a joke on her. They gathered what suitable materials they had at their disposal and made a fake Immunity Bracelet as well as a couple of “clues”. When Elma got back before they were finished, Aubrey lured her away in another direction. Finally, Ervic finished the notes and planted one near the torches. Solenn placed the “bracelet” within the firewood. When Elma found the “clue” by the torches, she jumped really high and screamed like a crazy woman. The others couldn’t help sniggering at which point Elma was suspicious at their reaction. She rejoiced again when she found the “bracelet” but was suddenly doubtful at the flimsy look of it. The “crooks” continued to giggle. Doubt was warring with desire within her. Her tribe mates’ reactions were making her suspicious, but she wanted to have the IB so badly. She told them that she would feel bad about them if it turned out to be a joke. The others were starting to feel guilty but her expressions were just too entertaining. She walked-off and then found the second “clue”, confirming veracity of the bracelet in her hands. She showed the “clues” and the “bracelet” to the others, she even stored them inside her bathing suit to safeguard them. Eventually, the others owned up to the joke, but it’s a credit to Mama Elma because she took it like a good sport. She even kept the bracelet.

Not Bitter? Really?

In the Jury house, it was Michelle’s turn with the psych-talk. She seemed to have accepted her situation but couldn’t resist a little jibe towards Aubrey although she claims not to have personal enmities toward the perceived alliance queen.

Episode 51: Ervic's Sweet Rewards!

The day after the tribal council where Michelle got voted off, the castaways at Galone camp continued with their usual routine, which according to Ahron meant that Elma would be cooking rice for breakfast and the rest of them waking up early as well.

Later, Moi, Michelle, Elma and Aubrey were talking about Aira’s grand entrance in the tribal council. Aubrey even imitated Aira’s pout and described her as “parang kontrabida.” Moi said that Aira looked like a butterfly (?).

At the jury house, Michelle said that she and Jon were contented that they reached the merge and were just happy to spend time together at the jury house. The couple went out to buy in a local store and walked around. On their way back, Michelle jokingly asked Jon the same questions Lolit Solis asked her back in the camp.

Michelle :    “Kunwari, na-trap kayo ni Aubrey, kayong dalawa first na-out. Anong gagawin n’yo sa jury house? Magrereminisce ba kayo? Paano kung i-flirt ka niya? Pangangailangan, na-mi-miss niya si Troy, ikaw na-miss mo ako. Papatol ka ba?”

Jon    :    “Even if she tried I don’t care. Why do you ask me these questions?”

Michelle :    “Bakit ka napipikon? Joke lang. Mga Kapuso, halatang-halata, pikon talaga si Jon Hall!”

Back at the jury house, the pair with Aira talked about who among the castaways left are the least “plastic” or insincere.

Jon    :    “The only one that is not plastic is Aki... and Mama Elma. Mama Elma is not plastic at all… Pag tinanong mo kung sinong kumausap sa’yo? (Sasabihin niya) Siya! Siya! Siya!”

Michelle:    “Hindi niya talaga nilalaro.”

Aira    :    “Kaya kawawa siya kapag siya…”

Jon    :    “Very innocent.”

At Galone Camp, the topic of their conversation, Elma, got the tree mail for their upcoming reward challenge. Ervic read it and when they realized that the reward would be their favorite desserts, everybody got excited.

Desserts...

Richard welcomed the castaways to the challenge area and explained the mechanics of “Patalbugan” challenge. Each one of the castaways will get two chips they will use to hit a target on a u-shaped table. The castaway whose chips would get nearest the target will win the reward. Four of the castaways would have a playing advantage after a race in the first round. At the beach, the castaways would get a sand bag inside a chest. The four castaways to go back to the starting line would get three turns instead of two in the second round of the game.

The reward would be their favorite dessert. For Ahron, it was buko pandan; for Akihiro, chocolate cake, as well as for Aubrey. Ervic was excited for his reward which he thought was cheese cake but he saw fruits – mangostein and mango – instead.

“Bakit fruits?” Ervic blurted out. He found out that it was his Mom’s suggestion. “Siguro kaya iyon ang naisip ng mommy ko na paborito ko kasi nga nagmomodeling ako, ‘pag nagda-diet ako, kumakain ako ng fruits.”

For Elma, it was strawberry cake; apple pie for Solenn and leche flan for Moi.

Before proceeding with the challenge, Richard said that aside from the desserts, there will also be a surprise reward. The castaways then picked their color codes (for the color of their chips (which looked like a hockey puck with a handle) and number which would determine their turn during the “patalbugan”.

And the race was on for the playing advantage. Akihiro and Elma were on the lead followed by Ahron and Ervic. Solenn admitted that she was a slow runner so, she got no chance of getting the advantage. Ervic meanwhile, was sure that he would get a slot. Ahron noticed that Ervic’s strategy was to run quicker when it's time to back to the starting line after getting he sand bag from the chest.

Effectively enough, Ervic got back to his mat first, second was Ahron, third was Elma and fourth was Akihiro. Moi was fifth while Solenn and Aubrey just walked back to their mats.

“Si Akihiro biglang tumigil, nawalan ng hininga. Sabi ko, mahina resistensya nila. Si Mama Elma, medyo nadapa. Tinodo kasi nila e. Inisip ko, kahit malakas sila, may advantage ako sa resistensya,” Ervic said.

Elma was contented still placing third against the younger and bigger male castaways.

The second round of the challenge started. The castaways played in this order: Moi, Ervic, Aubrey, Elma, Ahron, Akihiro and Solenn. For the first round, the closest to the target was Elma. For the second round, Solenn got the lead. But for the third round, only Ervic, Ahron, Elma and Akihiro would get to play. Ervic on his last turn easily got the lead and he eventually won the challenge.

...and a Surprise Prize with a Twist!

Ervic was happy for winning two challenges in a row but he was disappointed at first because he would only get to eat fruits. But Richard handed him the surprise reward – a hundred thousand pesos. Ahron admitted that they all got disappointed for not winning because of the cash prize.

But Ervic would not get the money easily. Richard told him that he could buy the dessert for a specific castaway at 20,000 pesos each. But it meant that one castaway would not be able to eat even if Ervic would spend all his money. The castaways just convinced Ervic to keep the money for himself. So, Ervic chose the money. While Moi understood his decision, Aubrey was visibly frustrated the she didn’t get to eat her chocolate cake.

“Syempre, 100 thousand ‘yan e. Malaking pera yan sa Pilipinas. Hindi naman ako mayaman. Hindi ka naman makakakuha ng 100 thousand ng ganun lang kadali, ‘di ba?” Ervic said.

Back at the camp, Aubrey told the castaways that she would probably buy all the desserts and just forget about the cash prize if she was in that situation.

“Kung ako loka-loka, bibilhin ko lahat iyon para makakain lahat, tapos kakalimutan ko iyong 100 thousand, kaso hindi ako loka-loka. Sa sitwasyon ko, kakain ako,” Aubrey said.

Aubrey said that money was worthless in the island and it wouldn’t help them survive. But Ervic defended his decision.

“8 days na lang, konting tiis na lang. Ganun din ang matitikman mo ‘di ba?” Ervic said.

After the CAs were welcomed by RG, the 2 jury members made their way towards their seats: Jon, simply walked while Aira, all dressed up, did the catwalk ruffling her curly long hair as she posed at Ervic's side before taking her seat by Jon

In this 3rd Galone TC, RG tried once again to expose the CAs' gameplay with his intriguing questions:

1st Q: Regarding their loved ones when the CAs saw them in the RC

Elma: (teary eyed) 'My husband is my soulmate, the love of my life'

Solenn: 'My brother is like the biggest baby on earth, but I didn't know who to expect because all my friends are working and are abroad. I didn't expect especially my brother, he doesn't like TV (RG's smile is beaming as she answers), but I started running when I saw him come out & I started crying'

2nd Q: On their loved ones participating in the challenge, did the CAs enjoyed the RC?

Elma: 'A difficult task compared with the internatinal competitions I joined in. (humorously relating) My husband & I were concerned with our pustisos, while the meat was slapping on my face, while trying to bite, we were checking each other out if our pustiso are still intact. (CAs laughing) But we were happy, even back at the camp I found myself laughing by myself when I recall the challenge'

Ahron: (Flashback: After RG declared to stop the game when his dad was bleeding) I was not that afraid because I know my dad is hardy, he could win a brawl, even if he lose his tooth its ok for him, but it was up to him if he would like to continue with the challenge, he's a fighter so its nothing to him'

3rd Q: For Akihiro, on choosing Ahron to go with them in the reward:

Aki: 'They did well in the challenge & when I saw his dad bleeding I thought they deserved to go with us'

Aubrey: (Flashback: When Aki chose Ahron to join, Aubrey cried) 'At that time, I was extremely excited that Troy was there with me that I was really wanting to go. Actually the 4 of us were the only ones who haven't gone to a reward, so I was expecting to go, I needed it also as much as Akihiro, in Sar Mayee we never won an RC, so I cried, when would I be the next to have that, after that back at camp but its ok, I always respect Aki's decision, of course he was the one who won, I cried because he (Troy) was there'

4th Q: Aira was surprised when voted out last TC, can the CAs say they schemed against her:

Solenn: 'I consider Aira a strong woman, I did trust her & I think she trusted me, but at the end f the day she has less alliance, I have to think of myself in the game, if I stuck with her, I'd be alone after, I mean its the 2 of us against everyone else, so I decided to be selfish & think about myself & try to make other alliances to stay longer in the game'

Aki: 'Aira is a strong person especially in the game. But I can't do anything anymore'

5th Q: Is blindsiding the right way to vote out a CA?

Ervic: 'I couldn't say its the right way but as long as I didn't make promises to anyone that I won't take them out, I don't need to be doubtful of my moves, because who ever my alliances decided I'll follow, even if they were part of my former tribe if they are not interested in our alliances, I can't do anything about that if its decided upon'

Aubrey: 'It's hard to tell the concerned CA point blank that it's them we're voted out, so I have to tell the others, it's hard to tell lies, it's hard for each of us, like now I'll never know if we're thinking the same whom to vote'

6th Q: Do you now have doubts if you might be the next one to be voted out

Ahron: 'It's hard to tell whom to trust, I'm still trying to be as nice to everyone & be true to myself, I really show if I'm dismayed or angry, so it's up to them if they would believe me'

Ervic: (Winning the IC established himself as a new threat) Here in Survivor, it doesn't mean if you are physically strong, you'll be ahead of the others, I only won this immunity necklace because of luck'

Elma: (On being one of the physical threat) 'I couldn't say I'm a threat, because I myself dream of wearing the IN, if it's my time to go, I'll accept it, all of them are in my heart'

7th Q: Jon & Aira were removed because they are threat, why don't the other CAs consider themselves as threat, when they are winning in the challenges
Ervic: 'I feel Jon could win every challenges, as for Aira, based on my understanding she had conflict with the other CAs & she was also good at challenges

8th Q: If you don't have alliances, you would be eliminated?

Michelle: 'Yes, in Aira's case, she wanted to play dirty & the rest some of them agree, but since they weren't sure how many alliances Aira had, they'd rather go against her, they wouldn't want to take risk, they don't want to go against the strong alliance'

9th Q: Who do you think is outwitting the others the most, the one with a solid gameplan?

Moi: 'For me it's Aubrey, I felt that in Sar Mayee, she's the one obeyed by the boys, she's the one planning who's to eliminate'

Aubrey: 'I disagree, it just so happen that I'm the one who's vocal, if the guys needed to send a message to the others, I'm the one pushed to talk about it, being a girl they think it's easier for me to say, but they don't see who really decide for our alliance.....(RG: having a strong alliance, immunity bracelet, Moi saying you decide for them, these point to you as a strong threat) 'No, if I'm a threat, physically I tried my best but there are girls who are stronger than me, girls who are not, I think all of us are even, as for the guys I couldn't compete, I just talk about things, but I don't think they see something in my to consider me as a threat'

Solenn: (On Aubrey) 'I can understand how people can percept her that way, but I don't consider her a threat'

Aki: 'We are all in equal grounds'

Ervic: (On winning the IN) 'Dream come true as what Moi said. I'll hold on to this (IN)'

Michelle's Parting Words:

'I expected it, since I don't have a strong alliance & I didn;t win the immunity so I knew that I'm next. Ang 3, 4 lang naman na strong dyan ay sila Nanay, Aubrey, Ervic & Aki, syempre the 4 of them, sila-sila magiistick & the rest, di nag-risk para sa sarili nila to make a new alliance, sila rin ang ma-vovote out. I think Aubrey's a threat because she maniulate everyone's mind. Tapos sila, ang sagot nila ay hindi, parang natatakot sila na sila ang ma-out na next. So magpakatotoo kayo. Wag kayong plastic' which she ends up with a loud: 'CHOZ!!'

At the Jury House.....And Then There were Three

Jon hugged Michelle as she joined him & Aira at the Jury House.

On seeing herself for the first time in the mirror, Michelle blurted out how she was so ugly, with thin body, dark skin & insect bites all over her. While she took a bath, Aira prepared for her a spicy sopas to eat. Back once again at Jon's comforting presence & support, she was just glad she had finally joined him.

Scrambling the Line Up

Back at Galone, in the darkness veiled in secrecy, the hushed voices of the master & the commander were once again brainstorming on changing their pecking order, on how to suit their vested interests.

Episode 49: Spider Act, Immunity's Lock!!!

Day 27

Jury's House

Aira, being voted out from the last tribal council, had the time to talk to the SP Psychologist, Lillian Gui, about her feelings towards the game. Lillian Gui handed to Aira a letter from her co-castaway, Karen. Upon this, Aira felt happy about it. Despite what the letter brought her, she still noted the betrayal of Moi. After the session with the SP Psychologist, Aira then waved goodbye.

In the Jury's House, everything goes well. Jon and Aira managed to cook food to satisfy their needs. Foods like French Fries, Sausage, and Bread were very visible. While having their meals, Jon and Aira had a chitchat about the strategies of the remaining castaways.

Galone Camp

A Tree Mail:

Immunity Challenge

The Challenge was entitled "Pulupot sa Sapot". The objective of the game was to get the immunity necklace placed in the center of the Spider web course. There are 8 doors surrounding the Immunity Necklace and each door has a lock to open using the keys found in the spider web course. Once the door is open the castaway can then reach for the immunity necklace and win the challenge.

Everyone was trying their best to get the right key for the right lock. But it seems that Ervic was the lucky one who got the door first opened and reached the Immunity Necklace. Thus, Ervic was proclaimed the winner.

Galone Camp

After the challenge, Galone tribe went back to their tribe. In their way back to their tribe they've noticed something like a wall containing their individual pictures.

Then a tree mail was read:

"Patunayan na iyang kasamaha'y karapat-dapat.

Mga taglay niya'ng katangia'y isiwalat.

Naghihintay ang ating pader, halina't sumulat."

The castaways wrote their own messages to the their co-castaways. And while nanay Elma was enjoying writing in the wall, she forgot her rice cooking thus, resulting to an over cooked rice.

As the time passes by, the castaway began to be busy for their tribal council. With the use of the pens, Solenn showed her fellow castaways her talent in art. She marked the castaways with few of her art. But the most talked about in the town is whom to vote out. Aubrey and Ervic were laying out their plans.

Names had been said and the next thing is Tribal Council.

Episode 48: Boys’ Day Out

The four reward boys immediately rode a van towards their much anticipated reward right after the challenge. Hideo just kept to positive vibes and encouragement to bolster Akihiro’s spirit. Not that it needed much bolstering, as he seemed very well adjusted. The others who were left behind still savoured the time spent with loved ones long after they left. “Nakakawala ng pagod, nakakawala ng gutom.” Said Ervic of the brief visit. After a while Aubrey talked to Ervic about the potential voting sequence among their tribe mates. After getting rid of Michelle, she wants to get Moi first before Aki, which was Ervic’s choice. A pensive Ervic surmised in private that Aubrey wants to take out the possibility of him having the Celeb Yaya as an alternate alliance. At the beach, both of them engaged Solenn in the voting conversation, promising her inclusion in the top 5, to which Solenn was not all that believing.

Meanwhile, the reward boys went to a posh restaurant for their dinner. Aki & Hideo enjoyed the spicy food, and even Daddy Toto, though the taste is not something he was used to, enjoyed it as well. When they got to their respective rooms, Aki took the much needed shower and promptly went to sleep. On the other hand, Ahron made the most of the facility. He dipped in the private pool, took a sudsy bath in the Jacuzzi, and even showered three times. He had his dad scrub the grime off his back. When morning came, Aki also dipped into his & Hideo’s eternity pool after a short work out. Ahron, went back to his pool as well after waking up, and then he lounged by its side while enjoying the spectacular elevated view of the beach, pier & ocean below. Aki then decided to up the enjoyment factor by opening a bottle of champagne. He stood up against the dividing wall and called out to Ahron & his father to offer them a drink. “Very early, my son!” Daddy Toto jokingly replied. It wasn’t even breakfast yet. By 10:30am, they had their breakfast. Ahron filled up as much as he can, knowing it would be their last good meal in a long while. They then proceeded to a cart racing center and a bungee jumping facility next. Aki was very intimidated with the prospect of jumping from a high place and tried to change the itinerary to a shopping expedition instead, but no go. “Takot ako! Survivor, patay ako!” Aki was jittery all the way up to the jumping platform. It took him 5 minutes to man up and take the plunge. Afterwards, it was Hideo next, then Ahron. He figured that if nervous Aki can do it, so can he. Even Daddy Toto joined in on the action, but alas, there was a greater air resistance for him that prevented him from touching the water. Ahron felt it was a very memorable experience for him & his father. Likewise, his dad said he formed a deeper bonding with him.

Night came at the camp and Aubrey noticed Aki & Ahron still has not arrived. She has somewhat gotten over the initial stigma of not being chosen to co-enjoy the reward. They were already sleeping when the two boys arrived. Beforehand, Aki asked Ahron to downplay the meals & perks they enjoyed and instead, focus on the activities they did so the others won’t feel bad or resentful.

Aira Emotes On Betrayal

In the jury house, Aira was paid a visit by the Survivor Psychologist. When asked how she was, Aira responded that she was happy and then changed it to sad. The dancing warrior related how unaware she was that she was the target last Tribal Council. She pointed out Moi & Ahron as the two who betrayed her. She was especially disappointed with Ahron who lied to her face, saying “Walang traydoran.” when in fact that was what he was doing.

Episode 47: Kagatan Na!

Aira became the second member of the Jury. Jon said that he was still shocked that Aira was voted off even if he had previously warned her that she would be the next target after him. Aira admitted that she too was surprised.

“Narealize ko, oh my God, after ng pinagsamahan nating lahat, lahat pala kayo trinatraydor n’yo ako,” Aira said.

Jon welcomed Aira to the jury house. Jon said that Aira was a bit annoyed after being voted off, but she wasn’t mad. They immediately talked about what had transpired on the tribal council. Jon realized that everybody turned on Aira except for Michelle who voted for Ervic along with her. Aira admitted that betrayal was difficult to accept.

But Aira had a special visitor, Aifa Medina, also a SexBomb dancer. Aira said that she was “napagkaisahan” as they talked about what happened.

The castaways then headed back to their camp. They talked about Aira’s exit after the tribal council which Ervic described as “bitter.”

Michelle knew that only Aira and her voted for Ervic which meant the she was practically “friendless” in the camp. But Solenn had her own take on what has happened.

“We were all happy that our planned worked the right way, and of course Michelle was feeling bad again because she felt that she wants to go home. ‘I want to go home naman, it’s supposed to be me’…” Solenn said.

That night, the castaways enjoyed the mosquito net (kulambo) they previously got from the last reward challenge.

Day 25

Love Fest

Michelle got the tree mail for the reward challenge ahead which would require them to take a bite for the prize.

Richard welcomed the castaways to the challenge area. He asked them how it felt to be still part of the game. Solenn said that she was very happy, so was Moi. Richard then said that the castaways would love the next reward challenge because they would have reinforcement… their loved ones.

Richard then introduced Ervic’s visitor, his Mom, Vicky. Ervic was in tears as he rushed towards his mom whom he was very close with.

“Iyung feeling mo na, ah, Mommy! Nag-isip bata na ako na, iyong mommy ko! Tapos hinug ko, biglang naluha na naman ako,” Ervic said. “Sobrang close ako sa mommy ko e, lahat ng pinagdaanan ko, nandun mommy ko.”

Lydia said that Ervic looked very different. “Ngayon wala na siyang pakialam kung ano naging itsura niya, talagang determinado siyang manalo,”she said.

Elma then sprinted her way to her husband, Jojo.

“Parang bata ako na nagsumbong na, napakahirap ng dinadanas ko na walang pagkain. Sabi ko, pumasok ako sa top 10. Parang gusto ko nang bumigay talaga,” Elma said.

The rest of the castaways then teased the couple to kiss which they gladly obliged.

Ahron then got his dad, Toto to help him out. Ahron said that they like buddies but they were not too close even before he became an actor.

Moi’s bestfriend Liezel was her visitor. Moi said that Liezel was even more emotional than she was.

Richard then called on Solenn’s brother, Erwan. Solenn rushed towards him and broke down in tears.

“I can see that she was extremely emotional already and that my being there would make her feel better. When she ran into my arms, she was saying she misses the whole family. I can see that she was really happy,” Erwann said.

Hideo Moroaca was Akihiro’s visitor. Aki said that he became quite emotional because they haven’t seen each other for a year.

Michelle’s sister Ehra entered the scene. Michelle screamed as she rushed towards her and hugged her.

“Umiyak ako na parang bata. Wala akong friends dito, inaapi nila ako,” Michelle said.

“Ang dark na niya, ang dami niyang kagat. Naawa ako sa kanya. Achievement na ‘yon na nagtagal siya. Proud ako sa kanya,” Ehra said.

Finally, Aubrey’s partner, Troy entered the scene. The couple run to each other and kissed.

“I know she’s strong, she’s very strong. I’ve only seen her cry a few times,” Troy said. “To see her break down and cry when she was running towards me, I know it was big. It was really difficult.”

Richard then explained the mechanics of the game called “Unang Kagat”.

At the center of the challenge area, there was a large piece of meat (beef thigh). While their hands are tied, the castaways and loved ones would bite off as much meat as they can. For the first round, all the castaways and loved ones would participate in the challenge and it would last for five minutes. For the second round, only the loved ones with the most meat bitten off during the first round would participate in the game. All of the castaways and loved ones were eager to win the reward because it was an overnight stay in Phuket.

And the game is on! The castaways and the loved ones devoured the meat. Moi even grabbed the meat that fell on the ground. Aubrey said that Troy has always been a gentleman that's why he was letting the girls go first. Ehra said that as much as she wanted Michelle to win, they were on the losing end because the guys were just too big and they couldn’t find a better place. Elma and her husband, Jojo, meanwhile were worried about their false teeth falling off.

Episode 46: Bite Me!

Feeding Frenzy

The castaways and their love ones were in the thick of the challenge. Everyone was trying to chew and gnaw away every bit of meat. Lot of pushing and shoving ensued causing people to fall at times.

The first round was over and the weighing of meat was done. The four teams that got through to the second round were Akihiro, Ervic, Ahron and Moi. Credit Ervic for getting a huge chunk of meat to finish first.

Biting More than You Can Chew

The second round now pitted only the love ones to fight for the reward: mommy Vicki(for Erivc), tatay Toto(for Ahron), Hideo(for Akihiro), and Liezl( for Moi). Hideo was an unstoppable meat chewing machine. Unfortunately an untoward incident injured tatay Toto on the mouth. A loose tooth was the cause of the bleeding. After the medic team patched him up, tatay Toto decided to continue with the challenge. Everyone had a strategy to get a huge chunk of meat. At the end of the round, Hideo had an insurmountable amount of meat (1.2 kg) to win the challenge. Along with the overnight stay in Phuket island was 10,000 baht (14,000+ pesos) pocket money.

Akihiro vs Alliance

But Akihiro also got to chose a castaway with his or her love one to come with them for the reward. Being the nice guy among the castaways, one would assume he would pick Ahron and tatay Totoo who got injured and came in second. And so he did. Aubrey did try to lobby to pick her for the sake of their alliance but to no avail. Michelle felt some consolation that Aki did not pick Aubrey. Solenn thought Aki was just being true to what he thought was right even if it meant not taking someone from his alliance. Btw, our researchers found out that Solenn means "beautiful and sexy sister of Erwan".

Bonding Time

RG reminds Aki that the reward could be an opportunity to think about the game but did encourage him to relax. The losing castaways got a few minutes (around 30 minutes) of quality time to say goodbye to their loved ones (enter "the beach" song). Most of them decided to take a dip in the water (Ehra and Michelle! Btw, they are in a November of issue somewhere) before parting ways.

Episode 45: The Outcast Saved, Dancing Warrior's Moves Cut Short

Crumbling Tower of Hope

In the IC, the sudden death eliminated the rest of the CAs which left Michelle & Moi pitted against each other. This gave the lone outcast the determination more than ever to win the 'Tore ng Kaalaman' IC, despite the cheering received by her contender. Both wanted to wear the Immunity Necklace for different reasons: Moi to make her dream come true just by wearing it, but for Michelle to save herself from the TC. It was anti-climactic while both their columns were precariously balanced, when the block Michelle chose to move inevitably tilted her tower, crashing downwards together with her hope of winning, while Moi's tower held on upright.

Gusty As the Wind

Back at the Galone camp, as the events in the IC was still sinking in them, the familiar voice of Lolit Solis boomed across their camp as she made them gather for a little afternoon chit-chat.

For Aubrey, her presence made her a little concern, as she might mention information that could affect the outcome of her gameplay. She brought good news to Michelle that although Jon is having sleepless nights away from her, he was doing fine in the Jury House.

After spending time with them & assessing their living conditions in the game, Manay Lolit realized that being in Survivor, she had her respect for the CAs. If they survive the game, they can survive anything. And in her wake, came strong winds & pelting rain.

A Hot Date & A Cold Treatment

While killing time before TC, the CAs had fun imagining Solenn choosing Ervic or Ahron in a dating game:

Romantic Date Location Ahron: In a beach, with roses; Ervic: Tagaytay-like atmosphere, with him cooking dinner (Solenn chose Ervic as she doesn't like white roses)

Solenn's Get-up Ahron: White Shirt & Jeans; Ervic: He sees Solenn as a fashionista, he sees her wearing shorts & a loose shirt (Solenn chose Ervic again)

First Kiss Ahron: wet kiss; Ervic: wet kiss (Solenn prefers french kiss, so neither of them)

Solenn's Breakfast Ahron: Bacon & egg; Ervic: pancakes (Solenn likes scrambled eggs, Ahron got one point)

For Ahron, he summed up that Solenn is indeed sexy, beautiful and hot.

While the rest is heating up with laughters in their dating game, Michelle was still feeling the cold treatment as the TC was coming up, though she was still waiting for someone to step up & approach her should the plan to vote her out change.

Aira on the other hand confirmed with Moi that there were voting out Ervic.

RG's Substantial Questions in the TC

RG welcomed the CAs in their second TC, then Jon came in as the 1st Jury member in a happy mood, as everyone including Aubrey beamed at him.

1st Q: Were the CAs happy that the biggest threat Jon was finally removed from the tribe?

Akihiro: 'Half-half, Jon is strong & can win the game, but we became friends'

Ervic: 'I could breathe easy when Jon was gone, I was afraid of him because he could dominate the game'

2nd Q: Now that Jon is gone, who became the next biggest threat?

Aira: 'Akihiro, both are the same (strong) but have different personalities, they have different approaches in the game' (to which Akihiro reacted: I just follow the consensus of the group)

Solenn: 'Akihiro is the strongest one physically, & in all the challenges, just like Jon, they get there ahead of the game, but he is being 100% honest with everyone'

Aubrey: "For girls, it's Mommy Elma & for guys, Akihiro, but I don't take it like that because, like Moi we didn't expect her to win the immunity necklace, all of them are threats because anything can change in the game'

3rd Q: Jon as a jury member has the power to vote for the Sole Survivor, do you feel you will get Jon's vote?

Moi: 'I don't know, we're ok in the camp, we both built the shelter, but I don't know Jon's thinking, but if he likes me, I'll thank him just the same'

Elma: 'I also can't say, because my relationship with them all is good, I rather be voted out, it is God's decision because I don't have control over their minds'

Aubrey: 'I don't know, Michelle & Jon voted me out last TC, I started the friction, but that's how we play Survivor, if they felt what I did was wrong, I'm sorry, whatever happened here stays here, I'm not like that in real life & Jon knows it. I don't know if Jon will vote for me'

Michelle: 'Out of them all, Jon would be the only one to vote for me, & if I'm the one in the jury I'll vote for him as well, because all of them are against us'

4th Q: Based on the last TC, is it right for me to say that all of you schemed against Jon & Michelle?

Elma: 'Their minds will be divided, but having the immunity bracelet, Jon could play it for himself, but he gave it eventually to Michelle, I had a hard time deciding'

Moi: 'Yes I felt it that way, Jon knows how to play, we don't know what else he could do, so we were divided'

Michelle: 'When Jon gave me the bracelet, I was thinking that he has a better chance of winning because I'm not a strong player, but now I have to be stronger being left alone, though I was still hoping if anyone approach me, I'd be thankful, but it's hard to break their alliance, if I'll be the one leaving, I'll just watch them how they'll cut each other & how they'll play their game'

Aira: 'What Michelle's saying is true, I want to give her a chance, but I don't have control of their minds, even though I'm part of that alliance since we were from Sar Mayee, then Nagar'

5th Q: How many group alliances are there?

Aubrey: 'I cannot say, there could be 2 or 3, probably one, you must work hard for an alliance'

Ahron: 'It's hard to say that there is a strong alliance, it could be 2, it's hard to say we four have a solid alliance'

Elma: 'As what Aira says, there are 2 alliances & I'm part of one alliance'

6th Q: For the 4 who went for the Reward, did you talk about alliances while there?

Moi: 'We talked little about that, we were more concentrated on the food'

7th Q: About Moi's winning the IC & Michelle's feeling being 2nd (Refer to Crumbling Tower of Hope above)

8th Q: What is important in winning Survivor: the honor of the title Sole Survivor or the 3M?
