The hot sauce is called Burning Sensation Molten Lava Hot Sauce. This is habanero based hot sauce and wow does it have a kick. The burn lasts for about 1 minute. For amateur hot sauce addicts beware cause your mouth will be on fire (as you can see in the video below). I really like this hot sauce on taco shop food after a heavy night of drinking.

Last week I relieved a shipment for Mile High Hot Sauce containing three bottles of their famous Mile High Hot Sauce.

The Mile High Hot Sauce hails from the state of North Carolina. This bright red vinegar based hot sauce stand out from the rest of the pack. At first taste and smell it reminds me of a southern style vinegar hot sauce, but after a few seconds a robust flavor of jalapeno peppers hits your pallet. These jalapenos are grown on our 5 acre plot of land located on the Goldsboro Wayne Airport property in Pikeville North Carolina. Now you might think think this is very spicy hot sauce however it is not. It is not spicy at all it is zesty!

uses all natural ingredients. Our 30,000 jalapeño pepper plants are grown on our 5 acre plot of land located on the Goldsboro Wayne Airport property in Pikeville North Carolina. The soil is tested by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture insuring the correct balance of soil nutrients for growing jalapeño peppers.

Here let M.P. Cooper tell you about it:

I have had opportunity through Air Force and other travels, to enjoy many types of peppers worldwide. Some, in their raw state, are just too hot for me! But in creating Mile High Hot Sauce, heat was not the objective. FLAVOR WAS!! Although many types of peppers are very good by themselves or combined with others, my favorite types are Jalapeño. Not the hottest or mildest, but the flavor is tops for me, especially when picked just as they turn red!

Well two hot sauces and 1 habanero jam. So, the next hot sauce up for review is “Grito de Gallo” (Call of the Rooster) Red Pepper Hot Sauce.

What struck me first was deep rich red color and pepper flakes of the hot sauce. I thought this hot sauce was going to be very hot because of all the seeds (Seeds contain most of a peppers spicyness). However, when I tried Grito de Gallo it was not spicy at all. It had a very distinct Chipotle flavor with hints of a smokey taste.

Now they recommend using Grito de Gallo on carnitas or chicken, but I have used it to enhance the flavor of my pizza and cold cut sandwiches.

Thanks again to the Jalish Factory for sending me this hot sauce. Remember if you want to send me your hot sauce for review just contact me!

Special thanks to my additional hot sauce reviewers SEO Survivor, Eric, and George!

So, that means three different reviews!

The first one one up is their “California Gold Hot Sauce“!

The packaging of the California Gold Hot Sauce is perfect. It reminds me of the 49ers days; the top comes covered with black paper tied in thin rope ribbon and the typography is of the old miner days.

I chose to review the California Gold Hot Sauce first because it was the hottest. It is a rich blend of Habanero peppers and spices. It has a very nice rich orangish color and chunky texture of a perfect hot sauce. It also has a very garlic almost Thai type smell and wow does it taste great. Yes it is hot, but the perfect type of hot: rich flavor that burns for 30 seconds!

Tonight I used this hot sauce on some simple rice and vegetables. It did work! It really made a boring meal into an adventure into taste ecstasy. I can’t wait to try it on some carnitas street tacos.

If you want to send me your hot sauce for review just contact me!

Ingredients:

Fresh Habanero Peppers, Water, Vinegar, Salt, Fresh Garlic, Special Spices, & More fresh Peppers.

It was one of the best vacation I can remember going on so when I was contacted by Mossy Bayou Foods to review their “Louisiana Swamp Scum Hot Sauce” I was thrilled.

The name really nails what the hot sauce looks like. Swamp Scum! It has a very deep dark rich green color. It reminds me of the dripping run off water if shove your hands in deep in a Louisiana swamp and raised the mud in the air.

But don’t let the color scare you. Louisiana Swamp Scum taste great! It is not a spicy hot sauce, but more of a vinegary sauce. The vinegar and molasses in the hot sauce make me believe that this would be amazing on fried food like fish & chips or fried cat fish!

If you want to send me your hot sauce for review just contact me!

Ingredients:

Peppers, Vinegar, Salt, Molasses, Natural Flavoring, Caramel Color.

What can I say, Tapatio Hot Sauce is amazing. As you can see in my video review that I have the largest bottle you can buy in my refrigerator. Tapatio is by no mean spicy or hot. It has a great robust flavor that complements almost any food. This is my favorite hot sauce to put on pizza.

Even the weak hot sauce warriors can handle Tapatio. Lets call it a beginner hot sauce.

Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce is staple in my life when it comes to hot sauce. I started using Sriracha about 4 years ago and haven’t stopped since.

Sriracha is not an extremely spicy hot sauce, but does has some kick to it! It goes great with all Asian food to help crank up the spicy level up a bit. Hell I have put this on a pizza before and damn it is good.
