Literary Lunches

Use your lunch break to feed your body and mind - not to mention removing the issue of holding your sandwich and a book at the same time!

On the first Wednesday of each month during the 2012 National Year of Reading, library staff will be reading from a collection of adult short stories and inviting people to spend their lunch break listening as they relax and unwind in the library space.

No bookings are necessary, you are welcome to bring your lunch.

Moderate language may be used in some stories. This is an adults-only activity please.

Engadine Film Discussion Group Two

A second screening of the film for people that may not have been able to come to the first due to capacity at Engadine Library. Attendees view and then discuss the merits (or otherwise) of a particular movie. The title of the film is kept "under wraps" until the day it is presented, which adds to the suspense.

For June only we are switching to the 2nd tuesday of the month, to accommodate the closure of the library for a system upgrade in the 3rd week of June.

This friendly group meet on the third Tuesday of each month at Engadine Library to view and then discuss the merits (or otherwise) of a particular movie. The title of the film is kept "under wraps" until the day it is presented, which adds to the suspense.

There is a second screening of the film being held the following week at the same time on Tuesday, should you wish to book into this instead.

If you do not wish to purchase a copy the library will have some copies for loan, however these are openly available to all library members (you may be able to reserve a copy). Alternatively, we may be able to source a copy from another library service via our Interlibrary Loans service. Standard charges apply for reserves and interlibrary loans.
