<p class="p1">Now, I get to be on stage every day, whether it&#8217;s leading meetings with my team, speaking on stages across the country, and sharing as much as I can about my business online. As my business has developed, I&#8217;ve realized that getting attention has benefitted my business literally hundreds of times.</p>
<p class="p1">Attention is a scarce commodity. In a busy marketplace, you are constantly fighting for it and the fact is you only have about <strong>6 seconds</strong> to grab someone&#8217;s attention and leave a lasting impression.</p>
<p class="p1">It&#8217;s a simple equation: when you have more eyes on your business, you&#8217;ll have more potential clients. <strong>Here&#8217;s a few more ways to get noticed and boost your business fast:</strong></p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Speak about your business!</strong></p>
<p class="p1">Start with the smallest group (about five people) at first. <p class="p1">Study the top influencers in your field, from their social media to their publications or even media appearances. If you have someone who you&#8217;re totally fascinated by, chances are, you could do the same thing and really dazzle your audience. Don&#8217;t be a ripoff, though! Put your own spin on things and develop your voice as you go. Your audience will recognize how you stand out and your distinct point of view will build your reputation as an authority figure.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Keep building!</strong></p>
<p class="p1">Set a goal to introduce one more attention grabbing activity into your schedule each month. A great place to start is implementing a social media calendar- the people who have searched your business because of your speaking gigs will be able to find you quickly if you have an organized digital presence.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Video content is winning right now in a major way. By the end of the day, you&#8217;ll probably catch at least 10-12 videos in your social feeds. Did you know that videos get a whopping 12 times as many shares as text posts do?</p>
<p>That means it&#8217;s time for you to get in on the action. <b>Creating short video content is kind of like creating your own virtual speaking gig from scratch!</b></p>
<p>But many entrepreneurs are afraid to get in front of the camera and shoot a lengthy video.</p>
<ul>
<li><i>You might be worried about filling time&#8230;</i></li>
<li><i>Or you&#8217;re nervous you might not look as polished as the influencers you see&#8230;</i></li>
<li><i>Or you think video needs a lot of editing to catch as many eyeballs as you’d like&#8230;</i></li>

<p>But making a short, one minute video hack can catch huge results. On social media, your viewers’ eyes are attracted to movement, so even the smallest amount of video content goes a long way into making your business memorable and catching a piece of the attention economy.</p>

<li><b>Make a plan.</b> Pressing the record button without a plan in place might be a bad idea. You need to engage throughout the video to make sure people stay on the broadcast for the entire duration. Present your information and give people content, but remember to be yourself. If you can start your video with a short anecdote, it will go a long way to engaging your audience. You don’t need a long-from introduction in every video, just start with your name.

<li><b>Keep it simple.</b> You don’t need the latest edition of that fancy video editor to post your video. In fact, that couldn’t be further from the truth! Often, your video won’t need any post production at all. Videos that look more casual and less produced blend in on social media because they look like something our friends would post. This means people are more likely to stop and catch your video because you look like one of their friends!</li>

<p>But I&#8217;m a marketing <i>geek</i>.</p>
<p>I love checking out everything that&#8217;s working in 2020&#8230; from great website design, conversational email copy, virtual interactive elements, and MORE, there are so many toys to play with if you&#8217;re a marketing nerd like me.</p>
<p>But there&#8217;s one marketing method that isn&#8217;t new.<br />It works better. <i>Faster.</i><br />And anyone can be using it TODAY to grow (or even launch) their business.</p>

<p><b><u>Speaking.</u></b></p>
<p>This is the way I built my business in record time. Before I had the support of a team, I spent about a huge chunk of my marketing time looking for speaking opportunities- and it paid off in a major way.</p>
<p>You can do the same thing. Virtual speaking opportunities are everywhere- you just have to do a little digging.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re struggling to find gigs, try some of these tips:</p>
<p><b>Spend time looking.<br /></b>You must spend quality time researching places to speak. <p><b>Your title is everything.<br /></b>When you land your first speaking gig, you will write that speech very quickly. Your primary focus should be going after the opportunities first and crafting the message second, but you should have a great title ready. A killer title is one with specifics! <p><strong>The easiest way to make that happen is by hosting a Facebook Live.</strong></p>
<p>When you start one, all your friends and followers get a notification that you&#8217;re broadcasting, and it&#8217;s the best way to ping people all at once.</p>
<p>Holding a Facebook Live is full of benefits as well. It creates instant content for your business, it&#8217;s already in video format so the engagement is through the roof, and if you hold them consistently enough, it gives you a real-time measure of what your ideal client is looking for!</p>
<p>Doing Facebook Lives right now is just one of the strategies I teach my clients to do to stay visible and top of mind.</p>

<ol>
<li><strong>Be consistent.</strong> Hold your Facebook Live sessions at the same time each day. You’ll also want to give your broadcast a catchy title. When you have a clear opinion, people WILL tune in. People want to hear your unique point of view when you’re speaking, so let them have it!
</li>
<li><strong>Be reactive.</strong> Give your followers content that’s relevant to your business, but also something that they might want to hear. The more you can relate your business to current events, the more relevant (and well-read) you’ll look. You must be good at improv. Starting multi-part a Facebook Live series takes a little creativity and a lot of patience.
</li>
<li><strong>Fill them in.</strong> Always announce at the top of your broadcast what you’ll be teaching. This announcement is kind of like a promise to the viewer that they’re going to gain something by watching you. This holds interest and gives people a reason to keep watching your Facebook Live until it ends.</li>
</ol>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Tired of Netflix yet? As cabin fever sets in, it might be tempting to take a few days, neglect your business, and veg on the couch because no one else is working&#8230; right?</p>
<p><i>No way. Do you even know me? 😉</i></p>
<p>Being stuck behind closed doors doesn&#8217;t mean your business has to be. Consistent good habits will help you de-stress and keep your business top of mind for your ideal clients.</p>
<p>Here is a list of five activities you can be doing in your business that will keep you moving forward even during your most stagnant times.</p>
<p><b>Caution: This daily regiment causes MASSIVE growth in your business.</b></p>
<p>Do these five things each day:</p>
<p><b>1. Start strong and make your bed.</b> Before you do anything else, get off to a perfect start by determining exactly how much money you need to make today<i>&#8211; </i>not this week, not this month Today. Before you get in the shower or get dressed, follow up with one of your hottest leads. Making progress before you&#8217;ve even gotten started feels <i>incredible</i>.</p>
<p><b>2. Practice three lead generating activities.</b> Right now, people need leads more than anything else. Hold a Facebook live, a webinar, speaking virtually, record a podcast, promote yourself in a forum or do ANYTHING you need to do to reach new people to talk to about your business.</p>
<p><b>3. Make 50 calls each day. </b>My clients hate this rule, until they do it themselves and see the outcomes that a high volume of calls can bring!<b> </b>Follow up with leads that you already have or make connections from the leads you&#8217;ve created. Don&#8217;t go to bed until you&#8217;ve made all 50 calls.</p>
<p><b>4. Run money every day. </b>If you&#8217;re running a business, you have to be thinking about your revenue. Money begets money and action begets action. Even if it&#8217;s just a copy of your book, don&#8217;t go to bed until you&#8217;ve run a little bit of money. Your bottom line is going to be what propels you, so don&#8217;t let yourself fall behind!</p>
<p><b>5. End your day with a plan for tomorrow. </b>Before you go to sleep each night, make an action plan for the next day. For example, if lead generation was a struggle today, then you know that needs to be your priority tomorrow. You should also use this time to send ONE email you&#8217;ve been putting off. There&#8217;s no need to push it to tomorrow. You&#8217;ll feel better when you bite the bullet and take action.</p>

<p dir="ltr"><em>But that&#8217;s the reality for so many.</em></p>
<p dir="ltr">The freedom that comes from having to make every decision for your business can make anyone question their next step and wonder where they should be turning.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Running a successful small business requires you to be the boss, but it doesn&#8217;t need to be isolating or confusing. Use these tips to combat entrepreneurial loneliness, move forward, and get your mojo back!</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Start now.</strong> Don’t wait until conditions are perfect to get started, because they will never be perfect. Sometimes you have to walk out the door overwhelmed or feeling unfinished. Don’t wait until you’re ready to start. When you live life to the fullest, you’re taking risks and trying your best, even when it’s tough. It&#8217;s hard to feel lonely if you&#8217;re taking action and moving forward.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Be seen. </strong>You cannot build your business without being seen by as many people as you can, so give people plenty of content to savor! Try to make at least 5 pieces of content a day to be seen. These can be as simple as holding a Facebook live, writing a short blog post, or posting on Instagram!</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Trust yourself.</strong> You don’t have to do it completely alone. In fact, it’s impossible to do it alone! You can (and should) ask for help from a coach or mentor. Going to someone who knows more about business than you can get you out of your head and help you move forward. But always remember, that person can’t totally save you. Even if you have a mentor, you’ll have to cross the finish line by yourself. </p>
<p dir="ltr">No one is going to show up at your front door with the answers, but despite how lonely entrepreneurship can be, you can still keep chipping away at your goals, even if you don&#8217;t know the exact next step.</p></div>
