We're busy working on Swallows&Daggers new website which will include more interactive elements and a forum for everyone to chat on. If there's any disruption or the page looks weird over the next two days it's because of this. Expect the new site by Monday night at the latest. From the design mockups I've been given it's going to be awesome.

*UPDATE* We've hit some snags importing old content we're about 90% done so you should expect the new site to launch tommorow or Wednesday. Sorry about the delay everybody.

Thomas Hooper, is one of the most prolific tattooers still working. You can catch him at New York Adorned in NYC. His style is unique and often imitated but few will ever come close to doing some technically perfect tattoos. He's got the ability to make palm tattoos stay in perfect a feat which few others have achieved. He does two very different types of tattoos, his more traditional subject matter and his pointilist/tribal imagery. We're focusing on the more traditional stuff in the pictures above but you should check out the other via his myspace and if you have cash pickup his book of lines.

Lars should have been posted up here a long time ago but I wasn't sure if he really fell under the traditional or neo-traditional banners, but when someones this good it doesn't really matter. Lars works in Loxodrom in Berlin, Germany and turns out bold, stylized masterpieces. If you want work from him he's got a year long waiting list and doesn't work conventions.

Skate4Cancer are an organisation that raise awareness about cancer and put on programs about stuff like early detection. They are looking for funding to open a drop-in centre in Toronto, Canada. Theres funding available through the Aviva Community Fund Competition. There is over $500,000 in community development grants available to ideas that make it through to the judging round. If your American or shop online from American brands today is a day of sales/shopping etc for you (unless your an anti-consumerist, fuck multinationals type of guy/girl) So instead of looking at tattoos you should be buying stuff. Here's my picks for the day.

Conspiracy Zip-Up by Rebel8. Really nice stuff, all designed by Mike Giant.

Underway is the only way, is a book by Grime and Horitaka and features interviews and artwork from some of the top tattooers in the world. It's got 320 pages of cool shit in it. I recommend getting it through bookmistress.net and supporting a tattooer owned company, they've got loads of other great books on offer too.

Something to get you in the goodbooks with your Mrs from Bow and Crossbones?. The text can be customised to whatever you want.

Corey Thompson Flash, 5 sheets for $50. This guys incredible and the price is a bargain.

J<3B Flash. Loads of cool stuff, one sheets $15 and 5 for $50.

Times of Grace by Jurgen Eckel of Conspiracy Inc. If you do neo-trad this book is an essential purchase. It's got flash, sketches and full on paintings in it.

Of course you can still pick up Swallows&Daggers Issue 1 and from mid next week we'll have the left over shirts from the Dublin Convention onsale via the webstore.
