What’s great about them being so cheap is that you can buy more – I have several pairs to suit my various moods, what I am wearing or even the season. With valentines day just around the corner now I am thinking of getting some nice Valentine’s Day glasses to add to my collection. I don’t think I will go for any thing too obvious like a heart or flower pattern, but something in pink maybe, despite it being my favourite colour for some reason I don’t already own any pink glasses.

I may even ask my other half to purchase them for me as a gift for valentines day, I’d always rather have something that will last rather than the traditional gifts such as chocolate and flowers.

I wore them until I was about 20 when I was told I didn’t need them any more as I’d basically given up using my ‘bad’ eye so they were doing nothing for me- that made me sad. I had grown so used to wearing them that it took me a long time to get used to life without.

I often thought about just getting some fashion glasses but even those are still expensive – or that’s what I thought until a few months ago when I came across a site that sells them for as little as $8, now that’s what I call cheap eyeglasses. I first came across the site when I was reading “Living Large in Lean Times” by Clark Howard I snapped up a pair of slinky little black ones with plain lenses and they are great, just as good quality as any I’ve paid £100s for in the passed – they’ve hardly been off my face since I got them

I really hope he’ll be trained by Christmas as we are having guests and no one wants to be sat around opening pressies and eating turkey only to see and smell a puppy doing his business nearby.

I can’t believe Christmas is already less than two months away, I have already bought a few Christmas Gifts for people and usually I refuse to even start looking until December 1st.

This year sees the 6th UK Packaging Awards which are due to be held in the capital at the London Hilton located on Park Lane on the night of Wednesday 16th November.
This is one of the most prestigious award ceremonies for the packaging industry and is becoming bigger and better each year – with this year’s being no exception! It is run by Packaging News and last year was a complete sell-out hence the move to the bigger (and somewhat nicer) location.
There are 20 categories separated into two sectors; the Quality Awards and the Performance awards. There is a category for all types of packaging from foam packaging to corrugated card and even glass. To be selected for these awards is a great achievement in itself, but it takes an exceptional design to win the category. Some of the top categories include Innovation of the Year, Design team of the Year and the Consumer Convenience Award.
The judges of the competition are renowned, in the industry, as experts in all forms of packaging. They are looking for something completely out of the ordinary that is both practical and innovative.
So what’s so great about packaging?
To people not involved in the industry, these awards may seem like a lot of fuss about nothing, however, if you actually think about it we use packaging on a daily basis. Honda is about to launch the next phase of it's advertising campaign during the idents on various Channel 4 documentaries. The new phase will feature several mini documentaries starring real people as they use their own Honda vehicles in some unique and interesting ways – each of the mini series of documentaries will have a wealth of associated content online that people will be able to access to get more information, extra video content, further articles and much more. The stories will include things such as a woman who uses her Honda ATV to help in herding her Alpacas. Take a look at the video below to get a better idea of what it's all about.

The new campaigns have all been created by Wieden + Kennedy London (W+K), a huge independent advertising agency that has been around since the 1980s and are best known for their work with massive global brands such as Nike. The coolest part is that you can get involved and if you are the lucky winner of the competition available via the online hub you could be the next person featured in your own mini documentary series that will be shown to the entire nation during an upcoming channel 4 documentary – to qualify you simply need to show W+K how you use your Honda and they will pick their favourite from all the submissions.

Martin Moll, Head of Marketing at Honda (UK) said, ‘"I am very excited that our continued relationship sponsoring Channel 4 documentaries allows us to focus on our customers, highlighting their warm – sometimes quirky – personal experiences of Honda products either for fun or as a necessary part of their daily livelihood.  We hope that this campaign will unveil further examples from our customers, one of which will be nominated to be brought to life on TV for a final set of idents later on in the year".

I am a huge Rob and Amber fan, and I am not ashamed to admit it! It’s been that long since I blogged here ‘seriously’ that I have forgotten what you do and do not know so let’s go back to basis.

My name is Viki, I am 30 years old and I am engaged to a guy called Gav. We moved in together finally after 7 years of being together back in August and things are going well, it’s been quite strange going from a long distance relationship where we would only see each other one day a week to being together all the time – but strange in a nice way.

Now I am all domesticated and stuff and do loads of housework and food shopping, like a proper grown up. One of the highlights of my week is Wednesday night when the new Lidl offers book comes out for the week, no really.

We have a sort of plan to get married in December this year and then head to Australia for a month, it’s only a ‘sort of’ plan because it’s going to be very expensive and I am not sure we can realistically afford it – plus I can’t even get Gav on a plane to Greece so although he says he would, I am not convinced I’d be able to get him on a 24 flight to Australia.

In other news I have been on a ‘trying new things’ mission of late, I cam across a site called ’43 things’ and realised how quick and easy it was for me to choose 43 things I wanted to do so thought…why stop there…and the list has kept growing. The list contains simple and mundane things such as going to visit my parents but also big boys like going to Australia. So far I have been trying new fruits (discovered I love bananas), trying new vegetables (discovered I love parsnips), trying new meats (no new loves yet), swimming (now go once a week), Ice skating (I didn’t break any bones), sledging (again no broken bones) and much much more.

Weight loss update – I have now lost just shy of 100, I actually got down to 99 lost total just before Christmas but then I went off the rails, for the first time in almost 4 years I started eating like a piggy and not working out for an extended period of time and I gained 5 pounds back. Although I have been back on the wagon again for the last month I have only shifted a pound of it. That’ll teach me.
I’m currently trying out Jillian’s 30 Day Shred, I’m 10 days in, about to start stage two and very nervous about it, stage one is beast enough.

Finally – my current obsessions include The Biggest Loser Australia, best show on TV, Scrabble on Facebook, if you’re my friend on there play with me pretty please annnnnd Dailybooth, a photo a day type website that is quite addictive.
