If you have ever wanted to build a free website you’ll know how tricky it can be to find a webhost — most hosts these days either charge to use their services or cover your site in adverts.

I recently came across Hpage.com that does neither of these things, it’s totally free to use and they just show one banner advert on your page.

What’s even better is that they offer so many of the functions, extras, addons and services you’d expect to get from a paid host. Allowing you to run forums and polls and contact forms among so much more. They also offer 300mbs of space and they have more than 300 designs for you to choose from.

Best of all the site suits any skill level, so if you already know your way around HTML and other scripting languages you won’t be help back by restrictions – but if you are totally clueless you can use their page building software to do all the hard work for you.

I just created a page myself to redirect traffic to one of my other domains, every back link helps! It took me literally five minutes to do and I will definitely be recommending them to my friends

So it’s official, I am an adult. I own a washing machine and everything.

I flew the nest and moved in with Gavin just shy of 2 weeks ago now and it’s pretty much been a cacophony of minor disasters since. From twisting my knee to having the worst migraine I have ever had – to getting the wrong TV stand delivered and buying the wrong curtains. We kinda suck at being adults.

The first issue we ran in to was that when we turned up to sign on the dotted line and get the keys we were told we needed to have contents insurance, we had planned on getting it but not before we’d even moved in – so we had no choice but to sign up to theirs which was killer expensive. The idea being that we’d find our own policy and cancel that one within seven days so it would never actually begin or be charged. We did just that – got our own policy and cancelled the one with the letting agents within 4 days but they have now still taken the money and say that the policy is active – they don’t seem willing to budge even though we cancelled well within the seven day cooling off period.

Someone said we might need to use a Forensic Accountants and suggested we go to Forths Forensic Accountants but thankfully I am pretty sure it won’t come to that and will all be sorted out quickly and amicably.

I am sure lots more things are going to go wrong, this post hasn’t even covered half of the stuff so far – but other than that, it’s pretty sweet

Can you believe it’s already August? The summer will be over in the blink of an eye and then Christmas is just around the corner.

So in recent news – Gav and I have not moved in together yet, we are struggling to find any where in the area we want to be in. We’re viewing two places that look promising this week though so fingers crossed we’ll be sorted by the end of the month.

There’s a billion and one things to organise for the big event but it’s frustrating because we can’t really start buying things like furniture until we know where we are going to be living, so it’s like being in limbo at the moment. One thing we will need to stock up on for sure though is migraine tablets for me, hay fever tablets for both of us and Burnshield dressings for all the burns Gav seems to come home from work with on an almost daily basis.

And speaking of medical supplies I think I should get some sort of shares or a special valued customer discount in them given how many medical supplied I have bought recently – as well as the above mentioned items I have also purchased a truck load of compression bandages, ice packs and supports for various parts of the body.

I took up running about 3 months ago -I just completed the couch to 5k running plan (woo, I can run for 3 miles without stopping ) and then had a wee stumble because I was distracted by some hot guys

I’ve twisted my knee and ankle and have hardly been able to walk for almost two weeks now and I certainly can’t run on it. Sad times because I actually really enjoy it and miss it a lot.

I suppose that’s what getting older does to you, you hit 30 and start wishing you’d done more in your 20s and thinking you look like an ancient old fossil.

I was just watching some cosmetic surgery video guides from The Victorian Cosmetic Institute to see if I would actually be brave enough to go there and I am pretty sure that I would be, but again it would be if money were no object.

As much as I’d love a little lipo I can’t imagine spending thousands of my own hard earned money on it.

But if I win the lottery – cosmetic surgeons here I come.

I was just reading some ancient old posts here on Swaymyway.com, and I am highly amused.

I can see why this blog used to be popular back in the days when everyone had a personal blog and the only reason we ran them was for the shits and giggles – not to milk them for every penny we can as we all do these days.

Neon wee, falling off various workout equipment, my dramas with various ginormous spiders – I didn’t half talk about some crap.

It’s also interesting to see the change in my use of language. I have posts from back in the days that I didn’t use capitalisation, apostrophes or spell check – cringe.

Still, it was fun to get nostalgic for a while

However the main focus of my diet is ‘low calories’, which means I will often turn my nose up at food that’s actually good for you because I know I can feel fuller with something that is much lower in calories.

So I am always on the look out for cheap supplements and vitamins and the like to help me make sure I am getting all the nutrients I need.

I was definitely missing out on vitamin C for a while a few months ago, I had terrible skin and was bruising like a peach – which is ironic as it was a lack of fruit that was causing the problems. I’ve never been a huge fruit fan – but I started taking some multivitamins and have slowly introduced more fruit (Pineapple juice, grapes and a satsuma every day) to my diet and now the issues are gone.

I have also recently started looking at whey protein. Whey protein can help you perform better when you are working out, and anything that can help me run longer and burn more calories during a work out is good by me

One of the down sides of losing weight is that I always have to buy new clothes.

One of the up sides of losing weight is that I always have to buy new clothes

I do love shopping and am always on the lookout for bargain ladieswear to get my sticky paws on, so it’s not the shopping I object to, it’s the fact I will buy something new that I love and then only get the chance to wear it a few times before it doesn’t fit any more. I have all but given up buying ‘going out’ clothes because I probably only go out where I have to wear something nice and pretty once every 3 months so the gorgeous dresses I buy end up not even getting worn!

I need to buy a swimming costume for the first time in…erm…well probably 15 years, because I am going on holiday in August and I plan to start going swimming regularly when I move away – there are some right now that look perfect in the Summer Shop for Holidays on Damart.co.uk and actually there are loads on the highstreet as well because it is summer holiday season.

But I can’t buy one now because it won’t fit come August – yet come August when I do want to buy one everyone will have stopped selling them for the year!

Basically, they need to invent clothes that you can shrink as you lose weight.

I’ve been doing some serious gambling the last few days – well OK not serious, but loads of online sports betting sites have had killer world cup deals and offers on and combined with cashback sites I have placed about 6 free bets, in fact I am already up money wise and only one of the bets is settled.

I put money on England to win yesterday on one site, and money on them to lose on another – can’t lose that way, right? Well no, wrong. Silly me forgot to take into account the possibility of a draw – how very annoying.

I have a long list of Free Casino, betting and bingo sites that I love. I am definitely boring when it comes to it though, I’d rather try and win a tenner by playing 10p games than blow my entire deposit on one game and try win a hundred.

One of the world cup betting offers was to deposit £20 and if you win, you win but if you lose you get your £20 back – no risk basically. Other people were putting on these crazy accumulators where if they win they win a few grand, I just shoved mine on the most likely event to happen and if I won I’d get £5 back.

I always wore eyeglasses growing up – I think I was about 5 when I was told I had a ‘lazy’ eye and had to wear a patch on the good eye in order to try make the lazy one get off it’s butt and work a little harder. I unsurprisingly got teased mercilessly and hated wearing the blasted thing, I was thrilled when they gave up on the patch and just made me wear glasses instead.

I wore them until I was about 20 when I was told I didn’t need them any more as I’d basically given up using my ‘bad’ eye so they were doing nothing for me- that made me sad. I had grown so used to wearing them that it took me a long time to get used to life without.

I often thought about just getting some fashion glasses but even those are still expensive – or that’s what I thought until a few months ago when I came across a site that sells them for as little as $8. I snapped up a pair of slinky little black ones with plain lenses and they are great, just as good quality as any I’ve paid £100s for in the passed – they’ve hardly been off my face since I got them
