Lunedì sera sono rientrata da una breve vacanza a Roma. Abbiamo colto l'occasione del nostro primo anniversario di nozze per trascorrere qualche giorno nella capitale, goderci la città, la cucina ed un po' di shopping.

Roma è sempre splendida e siamo stati così fortunati da beccare quattro giorni di sole e caldo pazzesco!

Nei prossimi giorni vi mostrerò qualche foto e vi suggeriró alcuni posticini che mi sono piaciuti molto. Per ora vi lascio con qualche scatto dal mio profilo Instagram (@sweetasacandy).

On Monday evening I came back from a short vacation spent in rome. We took advantage of our one year wedding anniversary to spend some days in our capital city, enjoy it, its cousine and some good shopping.

Rome is always beautiful and we were so lucky to catch four sunny and extremely warm days!

In the next days I'll show you some pictures and I'll give you some advice on places that I really liked. For now I'll leave you with some pics I took with Instagram (@sweetasacandy).

Esattamente oggi un anno fa, sposavo l'uomo dei miei sogni. L'uomo che amo da 11 e senza il quale non potrei vivere.
365 giorni trascorsi in un batter d'occhio con tanta felicità, serenità, e purtroppo anche qualche inevitabile giorno buio. La vita ci mette spesso alla prova ma insieme riusciamo sempre a cavarcela...
Riguardo le foto di quel giorno speciale e mi sembra ieri...i preparativi, l'entrata magica in chiesa, l'emozione infinita del si lo voglio, la gioia di parenti e amici, la festa, le risate....ricordi che resteranno nel mio cuore per sempre.

One year ago exactly, I was getting married to the man of my dreams. The man that I've been loving for 11 years and the one I could not live without.
365 days that have passed in the blink of an eye with much happiness, peacefulness and some inevitable dark day. Life often puts challenges on us, but we always make it out in the end...
Looking at the pictures of that special day make it seems like it was yesterday... the planning, the magical entrance into the church, the infinite emotion of the "I do", our friends' and families' joy, the party, the laughter... memories that I will keep in my heart forever.

Un matrimonio a detta di tutti gli invitati davvero unico e speciale..ancora oggi ci fanno i complimenti.

A wedding that all of the guests have defined as unique and special...still today many compliment us on it.

Non posso quindi non ringraziare nuovamente tutti coloro che hanno reso straordinario questo giorno. In primis Laura, che ha trasformato in realtà tutte le mie richieste e desideri.
Ma anche le nostre famiglie, gli amici e tutti gli altri straordinari professionisti che hanno partecipato a questa giornata.

I can't not thank again all the people who have made this day extraordinary for us. Laura at the top of the list, that made all of my requests and dreams a reality.
But also all of our families, friends and all the other extraordinary professionals that have put their effort into that day.

Rome, I'm coming!

Roma, la città eterna...amo Roma, le sue stradine,le persone, il cibo,l'aria che si respira, il clima mite...è una città così affascinante e piena di storia. Oggi io e mio marito prenderemo il treno per raggiungere questa splendida città e trascorrere un lungo weekend romantico per celebrare il nostro primo anniversario di matrimonio. Abbiamo la fortuna di avere un punto di appoggio, la casa degli zii di Giangiacomo. Un paradiso immerso nel verde a due passi dal centro città, ideale per rilassarci tre giorni.

Rome, the eternal city... I love Rome, its narrow streets, the people, the air you can breathe there, the mild temperatures... it is such a fascinating place, with all of its history. Today me and my husband will take the train to reach this marvelous city and spend a long romantic week end there, to celebrate our firts year wedding anniversary.

We are lucky to have a place to stay there, Giangiacomo's uncles' home.

A paradise, surrounded by greenery but walking distance from the city centre, ideal to have three relaxing days off.

I programmi sono passeggiate infinite nel centro di Roma, shopping e grandi abbuffate...amo i piatti tipici romani!

Non è la prima volta che andiamo e di posticini un pó ne conosciamo, ma avete anche voi qualche indirizzo interessante da suggerirci? Un negozio secondo voi imperdibile oppure un ristorantino particolare dove si mangia davvero bene...fatemi sapere!

La stagione dei matrimoni è ormai iniziata e sono sicura che molte di voi hanno ricevuto almeno un invito. In questi casi non si sa mai cosa mettersi...io inizio a pensarci mesi prima :-) Di solito mi metto alla ricerca di qualcosa di speciale, qualcosa che non si indossi proprio tutti i giorni...

Mi piace puntare molto sui dettagli ed accessori, immancabile è quindi un piccolo cappellino o un accessorio per i capelli. Oggi voglio mostrarvi un sito, Le Touche atelier, in cui potrete sicuramente trovare cio' che fa per voi...che dirvi, io adoro!

Wedding season has begun and I am sure that many of you have received some invitation in the mail. It is so difficult to figure out what to wear for these occasions... I start thinking about it months in advance :-) I usually search for something special, something I would not wear everyday...

Buongiorno ragazze e bentornate. Trascorso bene il fine settimana?

Noi abbiamo passato un weekend davvero piacevole. Sabato mattina quando ci siamo svegliati, abbiamo deciso di prendere la macchina e di trascorrere una giornata in spiaggia.
Il mare non è tanto lontano da Bologna, basta infatti un'oretta di macchina e siamo a Riccione, la nostra seconda casa fin da quando eravamo piccini.

E così l'abbiamo fatto.
Ho tirato fuori uno dei miei nuovi bikini, sandali, telo mare e siamo partiti. Questi qui sotto sono alcuni scatti della giornata...

Good morning everyone and welcome back on my blog. How was your weekend? We had a really lovely one. Saturday morning when we woke up, we decided to take the car and spend a day at the beach.
The seaside is not too far from my city, only one hour by car. And so we did it.
I took out one of my new bikini, sandals, pareo, and we went to the sea. These are just few pics of that day...

Oysho Beachwear collection

Ho la fortuna/sfortuna di avere Oysho praticamente di fronte casa...ci passo spesso ed i cassetti dei miei como' ormai a fatica si chiudono...mutandine, calzettini, pigiami e tutine hanno invaso la casa!

Quest'anno, più degli anni scorsi, mi ha colpito la loro collezione per il mare. Sto iniziando già ora ad acquistare qualche nuovo costume per la prossima stagione estiva, ed alcuni di Oysho me li sono già accaparrati. Ecco qui sotto alcuni dei miei acquisti/preferiti.

I am lucky/unlucky ti have an Oysho store practically in front of my house.... I often walk by it and my drawers barely get closed by now... panties, sock, pajamas and robes have invaded my home!

La crostata del mattino

Lo scorso Sabato pomeriggio ho deciso di preparare una classica crostata di marmellata per la colazione del giorno dopo ( e non solo!).

Tra tutte le torte che si possono preparare, la crostata insieme alla classica ciambella, è certamente una delle mie preferite per la colazione del mattino.

Prepararla è davvero semplicissimo ed il risultato è ottimo.

La ricetta come sempre non è inventata da me, ma recuperata chissà dove su qualche sito internet o su qualche giornale...non ricordo.

Ecco come l'ho preparata.

Vi serviranno:

300gr di farina

90gr di burro

100gr di zucchero

2 uova

1 limone

1 cucchiaino di lievito per dolci

1 vasetto della vostra marmellata preferita

Per cominciare prepariamo la frolla, lavorando insieme la farina, lo zucchero, il burro, le uova, la buccia grattugiata di un limone ed un cucchiaino di lievito per dolci.

Ho lavorato l'impasto velocemente ed ho aggiunto un pochino di farina in più rispetto alla ricetta iniziale perchè la pasta risultava troppo morbida.

Vi consiglio quindi di tenerne un po' a portata di mano e regolarvi in base alla consistenza della frolla.

Una volta lavorato bene l'impasto, ho formato un panetto l'ho avvolto nella pellicola e l'ho lasciato riposare in frigo per 30 minuti.

Nel frattempo ho riscaldato il forno statico a 180°.

Trascorsa la mezzora di riposo ho tolto la pasta frolla dal frigo, l'ho stesa (tenendone da parte un pochino per le striscioline) e ne ho ritagliato un disco leggermente più grande della mia teglia da 26cm.

Ho imburrato la teglia e vi ho disposto la pasta frolla schiacciandola bene sui bordi e ritagliando gli eccessi.

Vi ho versato dentro la marmellata cercando di livellarla.

Ho ritagliato delle striscioline di frolla e le ho disposte a griglia sopra la marmellata.

Ho infornato a 180° per 40 minuti.

Et voilà, perfetta per la colazione!

Sunday Breakfast

La colazione è uno di quei momenti della giornata che preferisco, specialmente in primavera, quando il mattino alle sette c'è già tanta luce e sole che riscalda ed illumina la casa.

Durante la settimana, io e mio marito ci ritagliamo sempre i nostri dieci minuti per sederci a tavola, mangiarci brioches e cereali, sorseggiando un cappuccino e raccontandoci i programmi della nostra giornata.

Breakfast is one of my favorite moments of the day, especially in spring, when at seven in the morning the sun is already filling the house with light and warmth.

During the week my husband and I always manage to have our ten minutes together to sit at the table, eat croissants and cereal, sipping a cappuccino and sharing our plans for the day.

Ma è durante il weekend che possiamo goderci delle lunghe colazioni, fatte di muesli, fette biscottate e marmellata, brioches ed a volte anche pancakes. Preparare una bella tavola, semplice ma romantica, è una di quelle cose che come sapete amo fare..così anche per la colazione del weekend.

But during the weekend we can really enjoy long breakfasts, with muesli, toast and jam, croissants and sometimes pancakes. To set up a nice table, simple but romantic, is one of the things you know I love to do... even for weekend breakfast time!

Basta poco per rendermi felice...mi basta prendermi cura delle persone che amo, coccolandole e magari cucinando qualcosa per loro.

Una bella tavola, semplice, fresca, resa ancora più romantica da uno splendido piccolo mazzetto di ranuncoli rosa e gialli.

Mercoledì 25 Aprile l'ho trascorso così, in casa, insieme a mio marito ed ai miei nonni...Leda e Angelo.

Due nonni speciali, gli unici due che mi sono rimasti.

Quelli con cui sono cresciuta, con cui ho trascorso tanto tempo, quelli che insieme a mia madre ed al mio babbo, mi hanno insegnato il rispetto, l'amore, la fede, la forza e mi hanno trasmesso i veri valori...se sono come sono oggi, lo devo anche a loro.

Un giorno di festa ancora più speciale del solito...

It doesn't take much to make me happy... I just need to take care of the people I love, cuddling them and cooking something for them.

A nice table setting, simple, fresh and with a romantic touch added with a wonderful small bouquet of yellow and pink ranunculus.

This is the way I spent my past Wednesday, with my husband and my grandparents... Leda and Angelo.

Two special grandparents, the only I have left.

The ones I grew up with, with which I spent so much time together, the ones that together with mom and dad have taught me respect, love, faith, strength, and true values... If I am the way I am today, I owe it to them as well.

It was a day to celebrate, even more special than the usual...

Bauble Bar è un sito interessante che ho scovato da poco e che vende online gioielli ed accessori davvero stilosi.

Sul sito troverete diverse collezioni, ma la mia preferita è la neon collection.

Ecco un’idea carina e molto semplice per realizzare un delizioso tavolo dei dolci. Gardener and Marks, ovvero Amanda e Lyn, sono due straordinarie interior designer australiane. Quando mi sono imbattuta nel loro sito, non ho potuto non innamorarmi dei loro progetti.

Case splendide, arredate con gusto, classe e con quel tocco un po’ vintage che amo tanto. Case piene di dettagli stupendi, dagli oggetti, ai tessuti, ai colori…

Ho apprezzato così tanto i loro lavori che oggi volevo mostrarvene alcuni…cosa ne pensate? Non sono meravigliose queste abitazioni?

Stupendi i vecchi spartiti musicali utilizzati come decorazioni per le pareti della sala da pranzo.

There are many good ones around, especially on blogs, but I don't dare imagining how such an elaborate design could cost...

Amen ~ Ritual Seduction Press Conference

Ieri ho avuto il grande piacere di partecipare alla press conference per l'anteprima del video Ritual Seduction, diretto dal regista madrileno Juan Zamudio; video dedicato alla presentazione della prossima collezione autunno-inverno 2012-2013 di Amen. E' stata una piacevolissima sorpresa ricevere l'invito a questo evento, e sono stata ben felice di poter trascorrere un po' di tempo insieme a così tante persone di talento e piene di creatività.

Location dell'evento, lo splendido negozio L'inde le palais, in pieno centro a Bologna, uno dei negozi più belli e ricercati di tutta la città.

Yesterday I've had the pleasure to attend the press conference for the preview of Ritual Seduction, the video by Juan Zamudio. A video dedicated to the new a/i 2012-2013 collection by the italian brand Amen. It was such a great pleasure to be invited and to be there with these talented and creative people.

The location chosen for this event, was one of the most beautiful shop in Bologna, L'inde le palais.

Amen, nasce nel 2003, e diventa velocemente un punto di riferimento per tutto cio' che combina creatività ed artigianalità.

Jacopo Tonelli, a sinistra nella foto qui sotto insieme al regista, è il fondatore del brand e sotto la sua direzione creativa lavorano giovani stilisti creativi provenienti dalle migliori scuole internazionali.

Amen, launched in 2003, quickly became a reference through a unique mix of creativity and exquisite craftsmanship.

Jacopo Tonelli, on the left in the picture below with the video director, is the founder of Amen, and under his creative direction, work a team of young designers from the best international schools.

Juan Zamudio, qui in alto a destra, è un artista e produttore madrileno, di grande talento ed eccellenza. Grazie alla straordinaria partecipazione della ballerina Selena Munoz, il video vuole rappresentare il leitmotiv della prossima collezione autunno/inverno e racconta a ritmo di musica sinuosa ed incalzante, la danza di una giovane donna che balla sensuale con le movenze di un serpente, simbolo chiave della collezione.

E' stata un'esperienza nuova per me, ma talmente piacevole che ho voluto condividerla con tutti voi...sapete ormai bene come ami la moda e tutto cio' che le gira intorno.

Ed anche questa settimana è terminata...non è stata una delle migliori, ma nemmeno delle peggiori :-)

Il weekend grazie a Dio è arrivato e con lui due giorni di sveglia tardi e relax totale.

E' stata una settimana intensa al lavoro e la prossima sarà anche peggio... ma una settimana in cui mi sono goduta anche la casa, fatta un bel massaggio, comprato fiori freschi , fatto qualche bella passeggiata, acquistato dei deliziosi bikini di Oysho (come dicevo su Facebook, mai farlo a fine Marzo..meglio in piena estate quando si è fisicamente più in forma!) ed ho anche lavato la macchina... :-)

Ok, lo so, di dessert table dallo stile un po' vintage e rustico se ne vedono a non finire da due annetti a questa parte...ma che ci volete fare, datemi un po' di vintage ed un po' di shabby, ed io saro' vostra :-)

Mi fanno sempre impazzire questi shooting e credo possano essere sempre di grande ispirazione ed esempio per tutti i vostri piccoli o grandi banchetti.

Una delle cose che amo fare nel fine settimana quando ho un po' più di tempo per fare la spesa e girare nei mercatini del centro, è quella di acquistare fiori freschi da spargere qua e là nei vari angoli della casa.

Rendono tutto più fresco e romantico...e profumano un sacco casa!

Spring is officially arrived in my home.
One of the things I love to do on the weekends when I have a little 'more time for shopping in the flowers and food markets, is to buy fresh flowers and put them in every corners of my home.
They make everything more fresh and romantic...and they smell so good!

Il mio è stato davvero tranquillo, all'insegna del relax totale...Domenica mi sono alzata da letto a mezzogiorno :-)

Ogni tanto amo i weekend con zero programmi se non poltrire, godersi la casa, il marito e le gatte :-)

La scorsa settimana abbiamo visto l'accostamento bianco e grigio, questa settimana, bianco e nero. Un altro classico che non stanca mai. Elegante, sofisticato e giocato anche questa volta sullo stile un po' country e scandinavo, proprio come piace a noi.

Last week we looked at white and gray pairing, this week it's the turn of white and black. Another classic that you can't get bored of. Elegant, sophisticated and this week too it's played around a combination of a scandinavian and country style, just like we love it.

Ormai lo sappiamo tutte e ce lo ripetono da mesi su giornali patinati e blog di moda: i colori pastello sono, insieme ai colori neon, il must della stagione. Diciamo che nel mio armadio, sono un must di sempre...amo infatti tutti i colori pastello, dal rosa, al pesca, fino al menta ed il verdino...

We all know it, from months and moths magazines and fashion blogs have been warning us: pastels are, together with neon colors, this season's must.
Let's say they have always been a must in my wardrobe... I love all pastel colors, from pink to peach to mint and seafoam green...

White and Grey Interior

Chi lo dice che il bianco ed il grigio sono colori freddi e piatti? Questa splendida casa è l'esempio perfetto di come la combinazione tra questi due colori possa rendere un ambiente elegante, sofisticato e di classe.

Who says white and grey are cold and uninteresting colors? This beautiful home is the perfect example of the fact that these two colors comined can make a space elegant sophisticated and classy.

La pareti scure sono un po' la mia ultima fissa del momento...amo infatti il contrasto tra un muro grigio lavagna ed i mobili bianchi un po' invecchiati e decapati.

Dark walls are my obsession of the moment... I love the contrast between a lavender-grey wall and white furniture, when it is a little shabby and aged.

Gli accessori ed i dettagli fanno come sempre da elementi indispensabili per rendere tutto l'insieme armonico ed accogliente.

Accessories and details are as usual required to make everything coherent, organic and welcoming.
