This client wanted faux marble painted on the wall and a beach scene. There is still some detail I have to add to the beach area but the marble is done. Please check back soon to see more pictures.

Here you can see the marble. I was able to make it look like there were sea shells and a star fish carved out inside of the 3D squares.

Here is a picture of faux brick. This effect can be done in many different colors and can be used as just an accent or as a main feature in a mural.

I have added a rainbow, a boat with annalee's name on it, and finished the palm trees.

2010-04-23T15:19:00.000-07:00

I started painting the islands and palm trees.

2010-04-19T19:43:00.000-07:00

Here I am adding waves to create depth on the surface of the water.

2010-04-19T19:38:00.000-07:00

In this picture you can see that I am starting to add color to the background.

Here is a close up of the dolphin.

I have painted the dolphin and still have a little detail work to do on the fin.

Here is a picture of what I have done so far. In this picture I have started to paint some of the coral and fish.

My daughters ocean scene

2009-09-06T11:54:00.000-07:00

Here is my latest project. I am painting a mural of an ocean scene in my daughters room. On the top is the sky, and there will be a couple of dolphins jumping out of the ocean. The bottom will have a lot of tropical fish and coral with a dolphin swimming up close in the center.

Here is the finished product.

One of the last steps in creating fire is to add some highlights. To do this I used white and just a couple of drops of Chrome Yellow to create a pale yellow.

2009-08-26T20:08:00.000-07:00

In this picture I have added another layer of fire using chrome yellow and then Pagan Gold candy over it. The Pagan Gold is the color that really makes it look like it's glowing.

2009-08-26T20:02:00.000-07:00

The next step is to add orange and red candy to give the background fire a red-ish orange color.

2009-08-26T19:52:00.000-07:00

I have started to add some detail by using stencils to give the fire some direction.

2009-08-25T21:48:00.000-07:00

Now I start to build the fire. I used Chrome yellow and roughly free handed where I want the fire to go.
