Cake Collection from Little Darling Cupcakes

Some of you might not know that I have started taking CAKE orders since October 2010. I think it is because of the name Little Darling Cupcakes makes people think that LDC only make cupcakes.

Anyway, my first cake that I ever decorated is the cake I made for my niece, Nur Cinta Balqis for her 4th birthday and it was a doll cake with Barbie cupcakes around the cake.

And from then, the order for cakes are coming in quite a lot. This is the 2nd cake I did for Amy Basri, who undoubtly and not surprising ordered at the very last minute, haha:

Then, the 3rd cake I did was a 3-tiered fondant cake for my brother's wedding. Boy, it was the shortest 8hours I've ever had:

I've gotta say, I owe my readers a huge apologies for not updating this blog as frequent as I did before. I guess KEMALASAN memang melanda. Unlike my Facebook page for LDC, updating this blog requires more stories and I was damn lazy to write. So please accept my apologies.

Mickey Cake: Zuhry is ONE!!!!

Bishuwie. That's what all the nieces & nephews including my daugther call him. ZUHRY. Dari BABY ZUHRY jadi BISHUWI. hehehe....

Zuhry is my brother's son. Montel, gebu, handsome, semuanya ada pada dia. Dah la bulu mata melentik. Kalau dapat gigit, memang sedap tau. Gigit sampai nangis. hahahaha....

Anyway, 2days before my Pakcu's wedding in Meru, Ajoe called me and asked me to make a Mickey cake for Zuhry for his 1st birthday. 3KG. Boleh? Besar OK!!!!

So sebagai seorang adik yang baik hati, I buat lah, walaupon penat tak cukup tido buat kek Pakcu the nights before, takpe, I sanggup huhuhuu.....sayang SHUWIE SANGAT3!!!

And here's the cake turned out to be:

The Mickey Cake I made for Zuhry ;). 3KG Butter Cake with Blueberry filling. Boy, the ears part was soooo challenging. And to get that black color is another tidious thing. I mixed the buttercream with melted dark chocolate, chocolate emulco, black colouring and a little drops of brown colouring.

My Little Brother Who Is Not That Little Anymore ;)

Pakcu. Ajam. Mat Nor. That's we call him. The youngest in the family. Yang paling cepat naik angin, yang paling cepat kecik hati, yang paling cepat melenting, yang paling mancung, yang paling cengeng, yang paling suka menyusahkan orang, yang paling sihat, yang paling active, yang paling suka buat hal sendiri, yang paling baik dgn anak2 sedara, yang paling manjakan anak sedara, yang paling MANJA dengan mak and adik beradik. semua yang PALING tu dia la. Paling Bongsu.

So now Pakcu is married. With YUNIE. The girl yang dia kenal since sekolah rendah. I'm not sure bila dorang jumpa balik, but I'm soooooooo GLAD Pakcu married Yunie. Yunie is a sweet girl, never failed to throw a smile, cakap berlapik, pandai jaga hati orang. Senang cerita, she is sooooo the opposite of Pakcu, which I think BAGUS la kan. At least now I know ada orang boleh jaga Pakcu.

The Nikah took place in Kuantan, Pahang. All of us, including my hubby (yes, he tagged along. Suprisingly!) went to Kuantan to witness Pakcu and Yunie's solumnization. The bride's father yang nikahkan. Hubby said muka bapak Yunie macam Presiden Iran, Ahmedinejad, and bila I tengok betul2, hehe, memang betul.

The reception for Yunie's side took place in Kuantan too. A day after the solumnization. Sekali je babe adik aku lafaz. Hehe. Terer la Pakcu! The color was Black & Red. So sexy bebeh!!!

Then, a week later, it was our turn to celebrate the wedding of this couple. Majlis Menyambut Menantu :D.

Pening3. Semua orang pening. And Mak la orang yang paling pening sebab dia risau macam mana nak sempurna kan majlis anak dia yang last ni dengan budget yang betul2 tight. But alhamdullillah, semuanya berjalan lancar. Semua adik beradik, Kak Eta, Abg Joe, Kak Anna, Abg Ajam, Abg Azli, Me & Zul serta pakcik2 & makcik2 bergabung tenaga, wang ringgit, sponsor itu ini, akhirnya, sempurna lah majlis itu :D.

And since I'm Pakcu's sister yang sedang active buat bisnes cake & cupcake, maka benda2 yang di sponsor nya adalah mini muffins & wedding cake. hehehehe....

October, November & December. My schedule for these 3months was hectic. People were getting married everywhere. Not to forget parents who organized the Majlis Aqiqah for their children. For the weddings, I was very tied up with all the hantaran cupcakes. And for the Majlis Aqiqah, I was tied up with the doorgift cupcakes. And without Bibik around, boy I was super exhausted; my daughter didn't give me any chance to rest. I can only had my own time during solat or shower. Other than that, it was about cupcakes, cakes & this 2yo of mine.

Anyway, what I want to share in this entry is, all the fondant cupcakes that I've made recently. Some of it for weddings, some of it for engagements. It was tidious, I have to admit. But I really, really enjoyed decorating cupcakes using fondant.

Little Sweet Doll Cake by Little Darling Cupcakes

Many reasons I decided to make cupcakes instead of normal cakes before; the job is too tidious! I've seen my friends did it, they took hours to finish just one cake!

But it all started to change when my sister, Anna encouraged me bake my own cake with my own recipe, with my own decoration. And I was like, hmmm...I can do it! Woohooo!!!!

So, my first assignment on cake baking is quite tough; A DOLL CAKE! My niece, Cinta, had her 4th birthday last Saturday, so I decided this is a good chance to try my skill on baking and decorating a cake.

I started baking at 11pm. Late huh? hehe...I waited until my daughter fell asleep, and done my wife 'chores' (huhu), then only I started my job.

The recipe that I used was actually the Sponge Cake recipe. Not my type of cake, but that's what my sister in-law requested. So, ikut je. I mean, Sponge Cake ke, Butter Cake ke, what I need to focus is the decoration.

The dome that supposed to be the gown for that doll came out too DOMEY. I guess I have to work out on the dome part. Insya Allah, lepas ni ok la kot. AMIN.

And I also include Barbie cupcakes around the doll cake, so that it look nice and so that Cinta knows that this party is for her ;).

How Can I Say No?

Red rose. Don't you just love the color?

Roses are famous among lovers. Birthdays, anniversaries, apologies, whatever it is, rose plays an essential role in every relationship.

Ye ke? OK, maybe not to me. HAHA. Reason is, I've never received any roses or any other flowers from my hubby. But I guess that's him being himself. He's not a romantic person, but that's what I like about him; not pretending. But a little bit of romance should be nice sometimes, don't you think? ;)

What does LOVE mean to you? Different lover have different perspective. As for me, love brings its own meaning in different situation. Make it simple, don't overdo, just do whatever it takes to make it work and believe me, it will work naturally.

But sometimes, a bit of surprises sparks your love life sometimes, right? I admire those couples who never fail to keep the romance in their relationship. Jealous pun ada.

Here's an order I received on Friday morning, approximately at 9am. As usual, I slept very late the night before to finish some of the cupcakes ordered which needs to be delivered on Friday. The call I received was actually from an unknown number, but the person who called me was actually Along (Norris Isma, my sister in-law). She said, her boss, Encik Idril noticed she brought the cupcakes that she needs to pass to Miss Lizawati (please view my past entry on Dinasour Boy). Her boss wanted to order a cupcakes for his anniversary with his wife.

To my surprise, it wasn't their wedding anniversary. Encik Idril told me that on this date (26 November), was the date he said I LOVE YOU to his wife and that was the date he gave his wife a rose.

SUMPAH ROMANTIC ok!!!!

At first, Encik Idril said he just want to order 10pcs of cupcakes. I was like 'macam mana pulak aku nak letak cupcakes ni dalam kotak'. So I suggested him to take the 12pcs cupcakes because I can get the 12pcs cupcake box. He also mentioned to me that he and his wife are very careful on their dietery. And his wife is not into chocolate that much. He asked me whether I have strawberry flavour, I said I do, but not on that day as I need to buy fresh strawberries to make strawberry cupcakes. So I suggested him to take my blueberry flavour cupcakes, and he agreed.

That was only on the flavour.

Now the design.

He specifically asked me to decorate those cuppies with little rosettes. And 1 cupcake with a big rose. In my head, I imagine about putting the sugar paste rose on the cupcake. Sekali tu, he said 'Kalau dapat rose betul lagi bagus la'. Dari mengantuk baru bangun tidur, terus segar bugar I jadinya. MANA PULAK AKU NAK CARIK FLORIST KAT SECTION 9 NI????

Although his request sounds, somehow, a bit ridiculous, but I feel that he's a person who listens, and his mind is fast too. When he mentioned about putting the REAL ROSE on the cupcake, I was like 'ala, sayangnya cupcake tu nanti tak boleh dimakan'. I mean, I know the cupcakes will get some of the residues you'll get from the rose. Dah nama pun bunga segar, of course la mesti ada pesticide kan. But before I could mention that to him, he said to me better letak artificial rose, at least tak ada la cupcakes tu semua terkena racun yang terlekat kat bunga tu. Haaaa betul3.

He said he always give his wife roses on this date every year. It just that, this year, he wants something different. Ye lah, at least this year the rose his wife dapat boleh di makan :D.

But what amazed me most, is the story he told me about that date that he celebrates every year with his wife. Betapa sweetnya Encik Idril ni. I yang dengar cerita dia pun dah macam chocolate bar kena potong lepas tu di siram dengan heavy cream panas. CAIR OK!

So I agreed to take his order. Janji dia happy (sebenarnya cair dengar cerita dia hehe). Although I had 150pcs cupcakes order that day, tak apa, I sanggup. Like I said in my previous entry, I kan suka tengok orang happy ;P.

I finished the 150pcs cupcakes at 5pm. After Amy collected her cupcakes, I started making Encik Idril's cupcakes. Berbunga-bunga hati I masa buat cuppies dia. My mind wonders alot of things about Encik Idril's love life. How does he talk to his wife? How does he handle the arguments (I doubt this, but kalau ada pun mesti kecik2 je)? What other sweet things he do for his wife? Macam2 soalan yang keluar dalam otak ni masa buat cuppies dia. Nak kena berguru kot dengan dia hehe...Or maybe, force my hubby berguru dengan dia? HAHAHAHAHA

Have I told you that I'm an environmentalist person? Oh dah eh? hahaha....

AMY BASRI. It's her again ;). I keep repeating her name inside my head. You know why? OK, because she's such a sweet person, full of energy (puji sikit ya Amy hehe). Another thing is, I kena alert with her request, takut kalau dia order last minute, I tak dapat buat. And I hate that, it just don't bring me satisfaction at all.

This week, TADIKA NOBLE is having a graduation ceremony at Intekma Resort. So, again, Amy will order cupcakes from me. And this time, the theme is Love is in the Air. Yeah, I know, for little kids? Hehehe...No la, not kinda love, it's more about loving our mother nature. Bagus la sekolah ni. I strongly agree about giving kids early education on our mother nature's issues.

She ordered 100pcs for the individual cupcakes, and another 1 set of 25pcs cupcakes for the teachers. Here there are:

Reasons why I hate delivery.

Yes, I do provide delivery service. Currently I have two riders who can help me deliver my cupcakes to my customers, Mr. Azman & Mr. Henri. Both of them have different rates. But personally, I prefer using Mr. Azman's service as he is more careful of handling my cupcakes. Out of all the deliveries he's done for me, I only received one complaint about the damaged cuppies. As for Henri, well, he's new. Only few of the cupcakes delivered sampai dalam keadaan yang sempurna. Yang lain, semua rosak. But I've warned him to ride his bike carefully, because I don't want to hear any complaints from my customer yang cupcakes dorang dapat tu dah tak cantik masa delivery.

Why I charged for the delivery? One, of course for the fuel. Second, the upah. Third, the upah for the rider to make sure the cuppies sampai ke tangan customers dalam keadaan selamat and masih elok. That's why I agak kecewa bile setiap kali Henri deliver the cupcakes, cupcakes nya dah takde rupa cupcakes.Because when I pay them, I expect them to take full responsibility on the cupcakes. That's why I don't mind paying them lebih sikit (but I always tanya customer dulu la).

Fadzlina @ Ina placed her second order this time. She supposed to come and pick up the cuppies on Friday but she didn't as she needs to be in Seremban by noon. So I did tell her about the delivery charges and my rider will send it to her. But I couldn't promise her that the cuppies will be that OK if it's delivered by my rider. Since dia setuju, so I contacted Henri to help me deliver the cuppies.

When the cupcakes have been delivered, Henri called me. He said 4 cupcakes were damaged during his journey from Shah Alam to Ampang.

Things happened kan. But I'm glad yang rosak tu bukan yang ada design macam nama and the heart shape. Thanks Henri for the delivery.

Everybody knows Mickey and his friends, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, etc. When I was small, Mickey was like a food to me. I always waited for my dad to go to work first, then I quickly forced my little brother to ask my mother to play the Mickey's video (dulu mana ada VCD/DVD kan). Hari2 kena tengok Mickey. And I always wanted to go to Disneyland. Boleh la dikatakan yang I ni membesar dengan cartoon2 Disney. Tapi umur 24tahun je baru dapat pi Disneyland. Dah la Paris Disneyland, sumpah satu apa tak paham masa pi Mickey Museum.

This order came from Farrah . She placed her order on Tuesday night. Dengan edible image of Mickey and Dibo. Sekali lagi, dalam hati I, Ya Allah, sempat ke nak order edible image ni??? I tawakal je. The Mickey edible image tu, I tak takut sangat, but yang Dibo tu, huhu...I quickly sms my supplier to order the edible image of Mickey & Dibo. ALHAMDULLILLAH, my supplier said that she can post out the edible image to me on Wednesday morning via PosEkpres, so that it will reach me on Thursday. And tahniah kepada Pos Malaysia sebab service yang sangat cepat. Memang DIJAMIN SAMPAI ESOK ;).

Dinasour Boy!

Whenever I heard or read about dinasours, I always think about Ross Geller, one of the character in the comedy series FRIENDS. In FRIENDS, Ross was a paleontologist a.k.a. dinasour freak. In all the episodes of all series, Ross talked about dinasours all the time. And there's one episode where Ross and Rachel had a break on their relationship (which Ross thought they were on a break...the issue lasted until the very last episode in season 10!), Ross SLEPT with a girl from the photocopy shop across his block and I was sooooooo mad at him when he did that. HAHA. I memang macam tu, that's why I don't want to stick to any TV series anymore, nanti jadi emotional sangat ;P.

Well, OK. This set of cupcakes order came from Miss Lizawati of CNI. Kalau dah nama CNI tu, of course la dia kenal my sister in-law kan, Norris Isma yang memang suka tengok kalau I buat cupcakes kat rumah. Dengan anak-anak dia suka my cupcakes. Kalau ada lebih cupcakes kat rumah tu, memang dorang la yang habiskan, I dah tak larat dah nak makan cupcake. hehe.

Anyway, Miss Lizawati ordered the 25pcs cupcakes for his son, and she requested the dinasour edible image too. So I Googled some of the dinasour cartoon character and jumpa la yang macam dalam gambar ni. Miss Lizawati suka sangat especially yang bertanduk tu. Huhu. I pon suka yang bertanduk tu because it look so cute.

Since Miss Lizawati pon bekerja di CNI, she said just give the cupcakes to Along (Norris Isma) so that Along can bring it her office and pass it to Miss Lizawati.

Those Sweet Things Safely Delivered to Your Heart ;)

Why do people love to make sweet surprises to their loved ones?

As for me, I have my own answer; just to make my loved ones feel happy. And I'm sure everyone have the same opinion too. Imagine you're having ONE hell Monday morning; your boss just keep getting onto your nerves, your colleagues just can't leave you alone, your clients just can't stop giving you headaches, then suddenly, the door opens and entered a guy with a box of cupcakes and asking for you. And the box of cupcakes is for you. Delivered straight to your hands. Imagine that. Wouldn't it be nice? ;)

One thing about me that many people do not know, I love to make people happy, I just love to see the smile on people's face. A smile, to me, are much valuable than $$$. Believe me, I've met many people and among those that I've met, very few of them are generous enough to give me a smile. And the majority, well, let's just say it's very hard to please them. And you can say that I'm not that closed to them hehehe....Sorry, tak berapa berkenan dengan orang yang susah nak senyum. Senyum itu kan sedekah ;).

This set is for Mr. Ravin who works in Maxis Communication in Plaza Sentral. Ordered by his wife, Madam Yaso. *I was really in the mood of Henna hehe...*

And this set was ordered by Cik Liza for her hubby (alamak! I lupa nama suami dia :P). But I still think that it's sweet, eventhough it's a belated birthday gift ;).

Both were delivered safely by my rider, Mr. Azman yang selalu menolong I dalam hal2 penghantaran ni semua hehehe....But one thing you have to know darlings, delivery can only be arranged if you order 4-5 days earlier. Kalau order harini nak deliver esok, memang agak susah ;P.

Once I've finished everything, I quickly took a shower and kejutkan my daughter. I served breakfast to hubby and daughter, and then I was off to Telekom Malaysia in Section 11 Shah Alam to deliver cupcakes.

This order came from Nora, who got to know my cupcakes from Facebook. This set is actually for her hubby who works in Telekom in Section 11 Shah Alam. I reached the building quite early. The reason is, I sort of 'menumpang' kereta my hubby (see, I told you I hate driving. Plus, we don't have a second car). He need to reach his office before 10am, so everything need to be settled before 9.20am.

We arrived at Telekom Section 11 at 8.50am. I was looking for Mr. Fuad, and apparently there were many Mr. Fuad in Telekom Section 11. HAHAHA. Luckily, Nora gave me her hubby's number. So I called him. He said he was already on the way to work and he asked me to leave the cupcakes to his department.

I went to his department and I met Encik Faizal (actually he was the only person there). He greeted me with a Salam and asked me whom I was looking for. I said I have this set of cupcakes that needs to be delivered to Mr. Fuad. And luckily, out of all the Fuads in Telekom Section 11, there's only ONE Fuad in his department. Hehe....So Encik Faizal called Mr. Fuad on his mobile and Encik Faizal also wished him happy birthday (I guess he didn't know that today is Mr. Fuad's birthday :P).

I was lucky this morning. There were two ladies who were eyeing on me when I entered the building. When I came out from the building, both of them greeted me and asked me where did I get those cupcakes. So I told them, I made those cupcakes. And each of them placed their order for this coming December; and both have already paid, FULL AMOUNT! Fuh. Memang rezeki :D.

Nik Aisar. Unique name huh? She ordered this set of 25pcs cupcakes for her boyfriend with the words 'I'm Sorry. Luv you'.

She requested this set to be delivered to Mr. Aliff in Selayang. Actually, this order very, very late. In fact, the order just came in yesterday. It is actually hard to book my runner at very last minute. And I also mentioned to her that the delivery charge will be RM20 from Shah Alam to Selayang. And she agreed. I guess she really wanted to say sorry. And I think that's sweet.

I always seek for inspiration everytime I make theme cupcakes. As for this one, I listened to Elton John's Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Words. My hands just flowing over the cupcakes with the deco while listening to this song ;).

Those tidious things that I love to do ;)

Fondant is tidious. I have to admit. I usually take about 4-5 hours to finish decorating a set of cupcakes using fondant icing. But it's fun to do it, especially when you have so many ideas on what to do with it.

Remember my entry February 2010 where my customer was not satisfied with the hantaran fondant cupcakes that he received? Yeah, I was traumatised by that order. Since then I always said NO whenever I receive any cupcakes orders with fondant icing.

It was horrible. It was my first time using fondant and to make it even worst, the cupcakes were actually for the hantaran for his engagement. He specifically requested white and red color. And not just any red; it was kotak rokok Dunhill red, that was his description on the RED that he requested. Susah kan?

I still remember the look on his face when he received those cupcakes. Kesian dia. Agaknya menyesal dia order cupcakes dgn I :(.

This was the cupcakes yang sangat disaster itu :(...

Tak cantik kan? I pon tak suka. Takpe la. Usaha lagi my mom kata.....

But anyway, it's not that I abandon fondant terus. Sometimes, if my customer request simple2 deco design using fondant, memang I ambil. And Alhamdullillah, from there, I learned a lot.

And since now is the Wedding season, banyak la pulak yang order cupcakes with fondant icing for hantaran. Most of them order dengan kotak yang dah siap deco sekali.

From Bags to Cupcakes ;)

It is now not a secret that I'm jobless. Yes. Jobless. Why? Don't feel like telling the story because the truth hurts really bad. Peopla asked me 'That bad huh?'...well, yeah, that bad. And I dont wanna talk or think about it.

Anyway, although I'm jobless, thank you ALLAH ALMIGHTY for giving me this NIKMAT and talent; my cupcakes business. I've started my cupcakes business since November 2009, right after my daughter 1st birthday. My inspiration came from a wonderful lady named Edina Azhar, who is also a cupcake tauke Adorable Cupcakes.

Unlike other bakers, I didn't go to any baking classes where I have to pay RM100 - RM250 per class. The reason is, money is so valuable to me. I'm not saying that I orang yang kaki duit, no. But life is all about survival. And living in this district, WITH a family, FORCED me to be more careful on spending money to unnecessary things. And be creative too ;p. BUT I LOVE BAKING SO MUCH! And I love the idea of having my own baking business, although all I baked before were pre-mixed cakes which you can get from local hypermarket, yang guna 2 telur and 1 cup of oil, bla bla bla....But honestly, I really love baking. My mom was not a baker; she did not bake that much at home when I was a kid. I can only remember her plain butter cake. It's yummy though, especially right after it's out from the oven. Yum yum! Love you Mak!

When I was still in a job (before July 2010), I didn't have that much time to spend for myself. My work forced me to do that. Even on weekends. And I HATE it so much everytime I got a call from my manager on Saturdays & Sundays, just to check my e-mails. I mean, COME ON! It's weekend! And the best thing is, few weeks before everything ended for my job, I got to know that I was underpaid. And bukan sikit2 punye underpaid, about 1K - 1.5K punya underpaid. Kesian kan? bangang tul. Ok, back to my story. Since I didn't have much time to spend for myself, I learnt how to bake from youtube.com. I learned so many things; from baking basic cupcakes, to full moist chocolate cakes, blueberry cupcakes, the fondant, the ganache, etc. All these I got from youtube.com

It didn't cost me a single cent (accept the maxis broadband that I use to connect to the internet ;P). But I guess what old people said is true; di mana ada kemahuan, di situ ada jalan. And it's true. I am proud to say that I am now a baker. Yes, a baker. Who would've thought that Sally the street punker, yang selekeh, yang berlemuih, yang pemalas, now a baker? ;).

My first order came from Joy; the former owner of Pentatonic Studio. He ordered my 36pcs mini cupcakes with chocolate ganache topping. Then the 2nd order came from Nadia, Fatin's sister who ordered the same set. Both of them ordered the same day, so on first day, I already got 2 orders. Yeay!

The first 4 months, orders came in maybe around 4-5 sets per month. Macam tu pon I dah bersyukur sangat sangat. And no large orders, just set boxes orders. So ada la duit lebih untuk tengok wayang dengan suami, makan best sikit kat Famous Thai or TGI Fridays. Nak guna duit gaji, tunggu bonus baru boleh merasa, which is setahun sekali.

Then, I thought about having other business; Fashion Business. Ok, one thing about me that most of you don't know, I don't drive. It's not that I can't drive, but I hate driving. I just hate the road. I rather walk from Section 8 to Section 9. And being someone who is environmentalist (HAHA), this is the least I can do to save the earth. And I'm serious about it. I only consume organic food and I'm still educating my husband to do the same. I recycle/reuse everything we have at home. I bake using gas stove (err...another reason is, bill electric sekarang dah terlalu mahal). I wash clothes using hands. I use the same t-shirt for 2 days. And now that's me. And I don't shop that much, only for groceries and nak stock-up barang2 for baking. AND SO, I did my survey from the internet, the same method I used to learn on how to bake.

Cari punya cari punya cari, my heart dah terpaut with this wholesaler located in Klang. Luckily, they have a very cool website. So I just purchased those fashionable items from the internet, and sell it on the internet too.

So, by May 2010, I already have 2 business in my hand; my cupcakes business and my fashion business.

During Raya time, I had a promotion on my Facebook for the bags that I sell. And AMY, is one of my customers who purchased 5 bags at one time. Banyak kan? But you know, things happened. My supplier said that 4 out of the 5 bags that Amy ordered, out of stock. I was aware of this, but I didn't know that this could happened before Raya! ADOI!!!!

So, Amy sent me various of sms, asking bila la bag dia nak sampai, dia nak pakai duit. I kesian sangat kat dia. And to make thing worst, time dia mintak refund tu, my Maybank account pulak kena freeze. I cannot access my maybank2u.com, I cannot withdraw my money, I cannot do anything with my bank account. The reason is, they said I had too many transaction, so they suggest me to open a Current account. I just said YES, but sampai skang ni tak buat pon. Malas la. Byk songel tul bank ni.

So, in one of my sms to Amy, I said 'Sorry Amy, but I'm really cashless right now. But I will have few orders of cupcakes this week, and once my customer paid me, I will straight away bank in to your account. And I will give you some free cupcakes too.'

She got excited. She said she is looking for a cupcake supplier. In my head, I thought this girl must be getting married soon kot, nak order for wedding ke ape. So I was like, ok....Few days later, she called me. I was at Sarah & Winder's Open House in Damansara when she called. She said she wanted to order one set for her client. It's a farewell party. She just gave me the theme color and the writings, and the rest is up to me.

You know, I thought that her client tu yang memang liase with her everyday. Rupanya she really have lots and lots client yang macam tu! She's in the Sales team. She organize the events at the Intekma Resort for schools.

I believe Allah heard my doa. And I believe Allah yang bukakan jalan ni untuk I. Syukur sangat2 dengan nikmatnya.

Since then, Amy placed her orders every week. Last week, was a hectic week for me, and for her of course. Alhamdullillah, she said she love my cupcakes. Syukur sangat2!

I received a call on my way to the Upin & Ipin Restaurant located in Section 13 to deliver a box of cupcakes to one of our bestfriends, Mr. Zainol Azhar @ Enol who came all the way from JB. Apparently, Enol and his gang ada kat sini for the COKE competition yang I tak ingat ape namanya. Anyway, this guy, named Hezry, called me and he said he just submitted a form to order cupcakes.

VERY, VERY seldom I got a call from a guy to order cupcakes. And this time, it's for his daughter. Sweet kan?

So since I can check my emails from my phone, I quickly open my browser from my phone and started to check my mails. He insisted to have the Ariel from Little Mermaid & Belle from Beauty and The Beast edible image. It was Saturday when he called, and he wanted to collect the cupcakes on Tuesday! Ya Allah! Macam mana ni? Do I still have time to order the edible image?

So I said to him, I will try my best to get those edible image for him, and promise to call him later, which I didnt, and I feel really guilty about it. I was SOOOO DAMN busy with other cupcakes order that I forgot to call him back. So sorry Encik Hezry. Will improve my service, insya Allah.

And ada satu lagi, he wanted the cupcakes to be delivered pulak, TO CHERAS! Ya Allah! Sempat ke nak book runner ni? So I said, ok takpe, let me check with my runner first. And when I contacted my runner, he said the delivery charge to Batu 9 Cheras is RM45! It is ridiculously expensive, it is almost the same price as my 25pcs cupcakes!

So, I guess since there were no call back from me to Encik Hezry, he called me on Monday afternoon. I felt so guilty for not returning his call. Kesian dia. But I did explain to him that the delivery charges is too expensive and I didn't encourage him to take the delivery, sebab mahal gila ok! Kesian dia. Bayangkan, 25pcs of cupcakes is RM50, plus the edible image is RM18, dah RM68. Plus the delivery RM45, total RM113, just for a box of cupcakes???? gila kan? I asked him whether he knows anyone near his area yang jual cupcakes. He said dia tak tau. Then dia cakap takpe, he will pick up the cupcakes himself that night itself.

Encik Hezry, terima kasih banyak2 for your order and sorry sangat2 sbb you terpaksa drive all the way from Cheras to Shah Alam just to pick up a box of cupcakes for your daughter. I must say, Sofiyyah is one lucky daughter ;).

Beautiful Wedding by Chenta Weddings

Sarah @ Dok is a good friend of mine; she used to play guitar/bass for our local Oi! band, The Official (laki i pon penah main for this band jugak). She's very talented, in many ways. What I adore her most is her hardworking attitude. Even my husband said so.

So, I got to know from her that dia dah takde kerja...reasonnya, the company closed down. Kesian la kat dia, I mean she just got married very early this year. Me, hubby & our little daughter went to her wedding in JB. It was a beautiful wedding, I must say. And I got to know her mom too :). Her mom is friendly and very, very nice and she was so excited my daughter called her NENEK ;). Heheheh so cute la her mom. And aku terus jatuh cinta dgn mak dia hahahahaha.....

Anyway, being someone yang sangat creative and sangat la multi-tasking person, Sarah became a Wedding Planner. The name is cool and sweet, Chenta Weddings.

So last month, Chenta Weddings has been appointed by Miss (now Puan) Fairoza for her wedding at Taman Rimba Kiara. It was a garden wedding. SANGAT LAH cantik nya wedding ituuuuuuu Ya ALLAH!!!

I was invited by Sarah to help her buat deco2 for this wedding. Belajar byk sangat benda ok dgn dia. And I just admire her work so much. Yes Dok, bukan aku nak puji ko, tapi ko memang patut dipuji dgn semua kerja2 ko ni. Superb, and lain dari yang lain.

The title may sound strange to you. Especially when it's for a little girl. Because usually girls will go for Barbie, Disney Princess, High School Musical, etc. But my salute to those girls who just love being themselves; never pretend ;).

Kak Wati was one of my colleagues in AIG back in year 2005. We were in the same department; Personal Lines Division. She's one of the Underwriters and she still is. Only that now AIG is now known as Chartis Insurance. Don't ask me why, I'm not the shareholder ;P. And our boss, Mr. Kamaludin Ahmad @ Pitt pon dah naik pangkat jadi Regional Manager now.

Anyway, Kak Wati yang order this set for her daughter. She requested the edible image of Naruto to be put on top of the cupcakes.
