I'm so excited with the projects I've created and that hope you like them too!

I will be changing a few things for this class. You will get to preview the cards and choose which cards to create prior to attending the class. This will simplify my prep time and I won't stress out wondering how many I should prep.

The UPS Man is Coming...The UPS Man is Coming...

and guess what??? He brought me...yes me...my Stampin' Up!'s Spring/Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalogs! Woo-hoo...it's my birthday...it's my birthday!!! Ok...it's not my birthday, but it's a HAPPY STAMPIN" DAY and I'm doing the HAPPY DANCE!

Mom and I were waiting patiently (really not so patiently) as we stamped the morning away waiting for my UPS man to arrive. Luckily it was a beautiful day here in sunny California and we had the front door and windows open as we listened for his truck.

Greg captured this moment for me to share with you. Eric, my UPS man was happy to strike a pose with Mom and I as I told him he was going to be famous! As he was leaving, he asked for my blog address. Eric, thanks so much for making our day and taking a photo with Mom and I.

Me...Breaking the Rules...NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

You may notice something is missing from my previous post or perhaps you think I'm losing or just lost my mind. Very possible:) My previous post contained a photo of one of my newest creations using a soon to be released stamp set...Just Buzzin' By. I removed this from my blog until the new catalog is unveiled on January 19th. I was breaking a Stampin' UP! rule...yes...me.
I was browsing through our demonstrator manual and found it was a big NO-NO to post anything before it was released to the public. So...for those who know me...I'm a rule follower and to prevent my hair from instantly graying, losing a few years off my life or being caught by the Stampin' UP! Police...I've removed the post and will re-post it on January 19th.

Just wanted to share a little sneak peek with you. Here is a card I created using one of Stampin' Up!'s newest stamp sets...Just Buzzin' By. This set will be available in the new catalog which you can begin ordering from on January 19th. I've not seen the catalog...only a few sneak peeks and I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Everytime I hear the mailman or UPS man...my heart starts to go crazy. Isn't he just too cute for words! I'm having so much fun with my new Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cut Machine. Q: Do the promotional Starter Kits include the same business supplies as the standard Starter Kit?A: Yes. All of the business supplies are the same. The promotional kits just include fewer products. The Home Décor focused Starter Kit is the only kit that includes a pack of Décor Elements brochures. All other kits include just one single brochure.

Q: Are any of the items substitutable?A: Yes. Just like the standard Starter Kit, most of the products in the kit that are substitutable for like items in the catalog.

Q: Are there any restrictions on what I can substitute in my kit if I purchase one of the Spanish Starter Kits?A: While there are a select number of stamp sets in the catalog that are translated in Spanish, you may substitute any stamp set in the catalog (as long as the price is equal to or less than the default set listed in the kit).

Hello my stampin' friends-

Gosh, this year blessings keep coming my way. I was thrilled to have been chosen as a 2008 Convention Display Stamper and now this. Yes, more good news! I received a phone call from Stampin' Up! yesterday congratulating me for being chosen as 1 of the 10... 2008 Artisan Award Winners. I had a blast creating my 5 cards, 3 scrapbook pages and 2 3D items and I'm so excited that Stampin' Up! liked them too!

I was speechless and was bursting with joy as I spoke with Lana at Stampin' Up! As she filled me in with the details I was shaking and teary eyed. This is like winning the lottery to me! Can you say lots of FREE stamps & accessories. I'm so excited for the new catty to be unveiled and then I can spend the prize $$$ on new stampin' products. Gosh ladies...this fall we are going to have lots of new stuff to play with!

Another wonderful perk to being chosen is that one evening during convention I get to enjoy dinner with Shelli Gardner and the 9 other winners plus two of Stampin' Up!'s artists. Yahoooo! I'm also excited for Convention 2008 as 15 of my downline and adopted sideline will be going to convention. I've been blessed with such an awesome group of fun and truly talented women. They all amaze me each month at our meeting with their beautiful and inspiring swaps. Salt Lake City...watch out for The "Ink"spirational Stampers!!!

2008 Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure: May 10, 2008

Dear Friends and Family,

My wonderful friend Deanne recently accepted the challenge to participate in the Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure® on May 10, 2008 to help in the fight against breast cancer. Many of you know that my Mom is living with breast cancer. She was diagnosed in 1990 and was in remission for many years. It came back about 4 years ago and has metastasized into her bones. She does not let this crazy cancer keep her down. She takes her cancer pill each day and every 90 days has to go in for a two hour IV treatment to help strengthen her bones. Her last CAT and bone scans were good and she now has to go in every 6 months. Thank you to each of you who continue to keep her in your prayers.

Did you know that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime? Please join me in the promise to end breast cancer by supporting my friend Deanne as she participates in the Race. Join me on Monday, April 21, Thursday, April 24 or Friday, April 25 for some Stampin' Up! FUN!!

Classes will be held from 5:00pm - 9:00pm on the above dates. It will take about 2 hours to complete your projects, please arrive no later than 7:00pm. Please note: a morning class can be added if there is enough of an interest.

Come and learn how to incorporate Stampin' Up!'s Hodgepodge Hardware Kits, Pretties Kit and Flower Fusion into your handstamped creations. Class fee is $25.00 which includes all supplies except adhesive. Please bring your favorite adhesive along with a refill. If you forget your adhesive or need to purchase it, it will be available for $3.00 per dispenser.

If you RSVP by April 11th @ 5pm, you will receive a goodie bag featuring a sampling of each of these fun accessories.

RSVP today! Payment of non-refundable $25.00 class fee reserves your spot, seating is limited and is filled on a first come, first-served basis. Classes will be limited to 12.
