Confessions Of A Blue-Eyed Girl

Final Wedding Plans!!!

2011-09-03T14:28:00.000-04:00

Okay, Okay! We changed our minds about having a wedding here at home! After much thought and many discussions between fiance and myself, we have decided to elope and get married just the two of us in January 2012! Fiance will have 3 weeks of vacation time to use then and since it will be so freakin cold where we live, we are just going to fly to a private island in the Florida Keys for the ceremony.

The ceremony will be held at the Little Palm Island Resort & Spa!

Discovered over two decades ago, Little Palm Island has been the escape of choice for presidents, high profile celebrities and savvy travelers alike. The magic of this island is its exclusive location where a captivating view exists in every direction and Snowy Egrets are your only competition for a prime beach spot. Crushed seashell paths wind through this 5 ½ acre paradise connecting our extra spacious 30 oceanfront suites. All Island Escape Suite, Island Romance Suite and Island Grand Suite guest quarters are housed in thatched roof bungalows, with custom-made beds with romantic mosquito netting, so plush some guests never want to leave; outdoor showers and all the requisite luxe amenities. There are no telephones or televisions, or guests under the age of 16 - the only distractions are the outdoors and each other.

I'm so excited now that we have finalized our wedding plans!!! I'm working with an amazing wedding coordinator from the resort and she is making everything so easy and stress-free!!! Just what we wanted!!

We are only staying on the island for two days, arriving the day before the wedding and then leaving the next day to fly to the Caribbean for our honeymoon! We haven't decided on where we want to honeymoon at yet, but our top choices are:

Turks and Caicos

Jamaica

St. Lucia

Bahamas

All great choices so it's so hard to decide!! lol

Soooooo exciting!!!! :)

Change of Plans!!!

2011-07-06T12:44:00.001-04:00

Soooooo...there's been a slight change of plans when it comes to the wedding! EEEEKKK!!

The soon-to-be-hubby's employer is being such a d@#*! They are not letting him off work for the scheduled Aruba wedding on 9.10.11!!! Can you believe it!?!?

I was soooo freakin pissed! At least we hadn't booked anything yet! lol

Anyways, on to the NEW & IMPROVED plan! ;)

We have decided to have a small wedding in our hometown and then go on our honeymoon to Aruba when he can get the time off. We won't know the new wedding date until dear fiance gets his work schedule NEXT MONTH. So I can't even book anything until we know when he is off. We are hoping for October or November at the latest for the wedding. Yes, we are both upset about the delay and change in plans, but now we can share the day with everyone close to us and we can have to whole wedding planning experience! lol

Wedding colors:

Tiffany Blue

Black

Hot Pink

This is not our save the date, just using the color scheme.

Changing our cake to:

I did receive my dress today!!! I love it!!! I go for my first fitting on July 22nd!!! So happy!!!

Joey

2011-06-18T19:58:00.000-04:00

Here is our new 8 week old English Bulldog puppy, Joey!

Joey is actually a little girl, but Joey just seemed to fit her personality better! lol

She is sweet and calm and gets along well with our lab, Ben who is 10 years old. For the most part Ben just ignores Joey, but she doesn't seem to mind since all the attention is on her anyways! lol

Potty training is going good so far! Fingers crossed!! lol

Summer and the City

2011-06-18T19:32:00.000-04:00

I'm so in love with watching Sex and the City the series and both movies!!! LOVE THEM!!!

You should check them out!

Glasses

2011-06-15T19:16:00.000-04:00

So. . . I now have glasses! Eeeeeeek! It's so weird wearing them, but I am officially near-sighted which means everything far away is blurry.

I'm not wearing them all the time, but mostly at work when I'm trying to read the numbers on the monitors that are super duper tiny and when I'm driving, especially at night. I'm also wearing them when I'm on the computer. I have noticed that my eyes don't feel as strained as before.

I'm hoping these here glasses help with the headaches I've been having the past few months. Although, Sudafed has become my hero due to my sinus allergy issues! lol

Here is a pic of me today after just picking the glasses up from Sears.

Beware!!!!!

I'm not wearing a stitch of makeup!!!

You have been warned!!!!

LOL

Hope you all have a fabulous evening!!!

Wedding Hair Ideas

2011-06-05T17:44:00.000-04:00

Here are a few wedding hair ideas that I've been loving for myself! I want to have my hair half up half down with beachy waves as well as all pinned up in a messy bun for other pictures for the day. What do you think?

My fav for the pinned up look!

So pretty

Love the loose waves

Va Va Voom!!

Simple and sweet hair

I'm also thinking of getting a hair piece from Jessica Simpson's Hairdo line of extensions. Since my hair will still be short/medium length by September, I want to add some more volume, length and sexiness! lol I'm just not sure what color to get to match my hair, plus I'm going to dye or highlight my hair so I just don't know! hah!

The hairpiece is sold here for $79.00

I hope the hairstylist at the resort and work some magic! lol

xoxo

Registered At Target!

2011-05-30T20:45:00.001-04:00

Happy Memorial Day!

Today also marks my one year blogging anniversary! Time sure does fly by! lol

Michael and I just had a laid back day and decided to register at Target for our wedding. Let me tell you....that was way too much fun! haha There was barely anyone in the store which made it even nicer. I know we won't get everything on our registry, but it sure is fun dreaming about what goodies could come our way! lol

We are also registering at Bed, Bath & Beyond next week which should be fun too!

I've been such a busy lil wedding bee the last few days! haha I'm hoping to order my wedding gown tomorrow. Gotta rush order it since the wedding is in 3 months! EEEEEEEKKKK!!! lol I can't wait though! Also booking the reception room at Brio this week. Gotta find a bakery for the cake now.

Because I needed another reason to show off the bling! lol

Life is good!

Aruba Wedding!

2011-05-29T17:10:00.000-04:00

We are getting married on the beach in Aruba with only my maid of honor and his best man! We wanted something more private for the wedding, but we will have a reception for close family and friends when we get back home. I want the least amount of stress as possible! lol Is that possible when planning a wedding???? lol

We will be in Aruba for 10 glorious days!!! I simply can't wait!

This is the beach at our resort. Amazing!

The resort has a wedding planner who does everything for us so that part will be (should be) stress free! lol

We are getting the All Inclusive Honeymoon package so that will be amazing!

We will then have the reception at Brio Tuscan Grille. We didn't want to do the traditional wedding reception so we opted for a restaurant, which is beautifully decorated already! All it needs is some flowers on the tables! We're only inviting very close family and friends which is about 50-60 people. We just wanted a more intimate gathering.

We are going to get a small wedding cake. I mean...who doesn't love wedding cake?!? lol

This is the style of the cake I want:

Simple and elegant!

I have also found my dress and the maid of honor's dress! That was way too easy!! lol

I'm going to keep my dress a secret until the big day, but here's a pic of my maid of honor's dress:

It's Alfred Angelo style 7138 in the color Petunia

The guys are going to wear tan linen pants. The groom will wear a white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the best man will have some colored shirt on. Still need to decide what color though. Decisions Decisions!!! lol And of course, everyone will be bearfoot with our toes in the sand! :)

Groom's outfit!

We are arriving a few days before the wedding to finalize plans and spend some fun time with the maid of honor and best man and then they are leaving the day after the wedding so we can spend some much needed "honeymoon time" together! *wink, wink* lol

Okay, time to get back to the planning!

xoxo

Really, Ohio?!?

2011-05-15T16:48:00.000-04:00

Last week was in the 80's and sunny! Finally, I thought that Spring/Summer was near. Yet today and for the next 7 days it will only be 50 and raining. WTF?!? I really hate living in Ohio. I belong in Florida. I long for Florida weather. I can handle the hot humid sunny days. I need Florida. Oh, why do I live in Ohio?!? lol

Maybe someday real soon this DREAM will become my REALITY!

So I guess until that day happens, I will just have to daydream and surf the web looking at beautiful beaches and fantastic weather!

Hey, a gal can dream!!! lol

Target Haul!!

2011-04-17T13:03:00.000-04:00

What can I say? I'm addicted to shopping at Target!! lol Here's some items that I have recently purchased and have been loving!!

Garnier Anti-Dark-Circle Roller in Sheer Tint
$11.99

I can't say enough how much I love this product! It de-puffs, conceals and moisturizes at the same time! I love wearing it on the days that I don't feel like wearing foundation or concealer. It just glides on so smooth and I like to use a Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki to buff it out for a airbrushed finish!

Neutrogena Oil-Free Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub
$5.84

I've been using this for 2 weeks now and it is amazing! I have combo/oily skin and this has worked wonders! First thing I noticed was the smell! It is heaven!! lol I also love the foaming action and little microscrubber bead action! It leaves my face feeling clean, smooth and soft! This product does not leave my face feeling dry or peeling, but if you tend to have more dry skin, this may not be the best product for you. Overall, I will definitely be repurchasing this!! :)

Gillette Venus Spa Breeze Razors
$11.99

I will never use another razor or shaving cream again!! This razor is so amazing! All you do is add water and the two built-in shave gel bars do the work of shaving cream allowing for a smooth shave! The three blade cartridge gives an ultra smooth shave that leaves no stubble behind! I haven't had any nicks or cuts and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and silky! The white tea scent it leaves behind is just heaven! I look forward to shaving every day now! Works great on any body area including bikini line and underarms! Please go out and try this and I'm sure you will be hooked too!!

Bissell Lift-Off Multi Cyclonic Pet Bagless Upright with Shedaway Pet Grooming Tool
$179.00

Last, but not least!!! lol We needed a new vacuum and one that would attack the dog hair specifically! This works amazingly at getting all those stray hairs on the ground and the tools work wonderfully on the furniture. My favorite feature is the Lift-Off feature that allows you to disconnect the canister and suction tools from the base and take the small tank on the stairs or to hard to reach places without having to lug around the heavy base!

Mine is the color red, not blue.

This is the Shedaway attachment. It has a shedding blade comb and a hose that hooks into the vacuum so any hair you comb off goes directly into the canister! Brilliant!!

What have you been buying lately and loving?!?

xoxo
