Fisher-Price Learning Mower

The Fisher Price Learning Mower is priced $22.99 at Target, $23.99 at Kmart and $24.99 at Toys R Us!

Please note: the reviews say that the handle does not stay up so this would probably work better for a child who does pretty well with walking.  Also people say that it is pretty loud, so maybe it would be a better outside toy

A little late in the day, but I got it in!  Trying to encourage a love of reading at the Brandywine Library

Last weekend we had a new experience and took the Cape May-Lewes Ferry www.capemaylewesferry.com  from Lewes, Delaware over to Cape May, New Jersey where we visited the Cape May Zoo for the first time.

The ferry is a 17 mile trip and takes 80 minutes to get across. It was a fun trip and my 4 year old loved it! He got a coloring book and crayons as well as a certificate signed by the captain of the ship given to first time riders. We also had a couple of dolphins (or porpoise) sightings along the way!

I will say that it was not the easiest trip with my 1 1/2 year old son, as he wanted to walk around and not be held, but it was hard enough for those of us who had been walking for more than 6 months to hold a steady balance. At one point he was walking and fell and scraped up his leg pretty bad . So you may want to think about how independent your child is when bringing a little one aboard.
