Hope the weekend treated everyone well! I have been hinting at this DIY for a little while now on <a href="http://www.instagram.com/swellmayde">Instagram</a>, and I am so excited to finally share the full tutorial on the blog. I can honestly say that this is my favorite DIY of the year. It was inspired by the variety of the wrap skirts I&#39;ve seen from the runway to more independent designers (<a href="http://www.swellmayde.com/2013/04/diy-inspo-envelope-wrap-skirt.html">here</a>). And I had to recreate it in white, my favorite color of the season, or should I say non-color. Can&#39;t wait to make a faux leather and printed one as well. I absolutely love visiting this city. There are parts that seem to be in a time warp, eclectic mid-century modern at its best set in a midst of palm trees and desert sands, as if I&#39;m further than 2 hours away from LA. It all instantly puts me in a vacation mood. When we arrived, we first met the <a href="http://www.fruttarefruitbars.com/">Fruttare</a> team, who so graciously gave us a package full of Coachella essentials, which included a great pair of Rayban mirrored sunnies, sunblock, and a portable phone charger. Then, we quickly stopped by our place, took a few moments to obsess over the gorgeous pool and palm tree retreat, and then finally made our way to the festival grounds. Cut your lace trim the length of your cover-up's hem.&nbsp; Pin into place. The original cover-up has a ribbon detail at the hem, so I simply covered it with the lace trim.<br /> 2. Sew onto hem. <br /> 3.
