Summer Program – Vote Now!

The club runs a summer program every other week between the end of May when our weekly Thursday meetings end up to the end of August and the start of the new season. At different locations in the area we meet to take photographs and socialise. A local pub is always specified so that we can all get together afterwards. On Tuesday, 7 February, 2012, ten members enjoyed an evening of “banter” and observing how others “do” things on the computer and camera. Gerry demonstrated his HDR skills using “Photomatix” (www.hdrsoft.com) in one corner, while Alex ran through “Picture2exe (www.wnsoft.com) in the centre of the room, using the projector to display the results on the large screen. The images and prints displayed at last night’s meeting were very inspiring. Ralph Snook LRPS, who judged the competition, gave sensible comments -not judgemental, as is often the case! I hope everyone else present enjoyed the evening as much as I did!
