Today's 'Creative Mornings' was a big success. We had a great turn-out and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast sponsored by our host HUGE.

Creative Mornings Co-Host Carl Collins spoke on the fascinating topic 'Unproduct'. (We are converting the video of Carl's presentation and hope to have it up early next week!)

Jen beat me to it, in posting about the DUKTIG Child's Coffee/Tea Set from IKEA. I was so excited to discover this designy tea set last weekend, as I can't get myself to buy one of those cheesy plasticy pink tea-sets you mostly see. We bought a set and put it to the pretend-play-test right away. While I love the looks of it, I must say that there is a downside of having a ceramic teaset. Whenever Ella drops a cup I crinch and say "Sorry, neighbors" and am afraid it might break and she'd cut herself. But it's just so darn cute looking! (and yes, I realize it says Recommended for children 8 years and older on their site!)

The launch of his a-m-a-z-i-n-g Wisdom Book book and film. This gem of a book will be under many of my friend's and family member's christmas trees this year!

It can harness approximately 73 kilowatt hours of solar energy every year in a typical outdoor setting (using southern California as an example). James Moyer, a candidate for State Board of Education (in Ohio--Columbus and its suburbs specifically) emailed me about his unusual political yard sign. For his campaign, he asked a graphic designer to come up with a sign that's whimsical and kid-like, sporting a bunny, his favorite animal. I must say, it had me chuckle and it would definitely made me look. Would it make me want to vote for him?
