he would never leave her. he would not have the strength to live without her. a promise he made to himself that he would be with her no matter what. a self-destructing promise that he should have never made and hold to himself. being with her at all time whether for good or bad. cared for her more than he would care for himself. the utmost love is the most painful there is and the utmost love is the biggest king of stupidity in the world combined. love for him was like walking past the dreams and memories in the dark winter while the strangely quiet storm raging with deafening silence. hiding the wounds within the scars was easy with the blinded heart and impaired senses. for all these qualities and measurement of feelings he had, made him the saddest man in this world. and the saddest thing in this world, is loving someone who does not love him (you) in return.

Syamsid Diary 8 : It's Been A Year

It's been a year already since I've left "the world of blogging" . There's a lot of going on but before I continuing , I wanted to wished "Selamat Menyambut Ramadhan" Hope this Ramadhan had a good benefits to us and efforts to make a better Muslim . I would like to make it short , what's going on during a year without blogging

As a contract workers , there is a terms of "end of the contract" . So most of the company that I joining in , had 2 to 3 years contracts (oversea) . Now I'm doing freelancing with a few small companies and also internet freelancing under UPWORK , mostly are from United States (customer) RM2000-5000 per month . ( Depends ) . Yes , during that time , I'm quite busy with all those office work .

(Now) I've a lot of free time , I can take a vacations on my own work which is good to have a quality time with friends and family . I lived in Perak btw he he he, who knows we can meet up in any day :) . ANIME TALK & REVIEW : HAIKYUU SECOND SEASON !

The sports genre.. if you're not a fan of it then it can't be helped but danggg ! how much you're missing out. Most people don't start watching anime with the sports genre and even when they dive deeper into the vast sea of anime genres, it is one that usually is missed out.

Now how does Haikyuu, a simple series mean that you miss out a lot?

Well, a lot of sports genre is usually thought the same way as battle shounen where "friendship is magic" since many times in sports anime, as well as in Haikyuu also, shounen genre plays a great role. Even tough there are some moments that give you the shivs, make your hair stand up or get you super thrilled by a game, that's just one part of what makes Haikyuu so amazing. The real awesome parts are the most memorable characters, their individual in depth development and the great comedy.

STORY

The story isn't anything new. A team sport: our main characters are obsessed with winning and want to make it to the nationals with their team. This is the basis for many team sport or solo sport game. It's just executed so well that you forget that it is kinda generic. While Haikyuu's storyline revolves around their team progressing towards the nationals, the ultimate goal, it is not the focus point of the story. In other sports animes, like KnB (Kuroko no Basket) or DnA (Diamond no Ace) where the team aspect is important they focus more on the skill aspect rather than, like in Haikyuu, the team synergy/team synchronization.

As the story progressess the team evolves. Sure their individual skills grow as well but that's beyond the point. One of the main characters, Hinata Shoyo, is a great example of that. The only time when we have focused on his individual development and skill growth a lot was in one or two episodes. Before that, we were given a quick flashback in the beginning of the first season of how he became what he is now. The first seasons' story as well as the seconds' focus on the combination plays of the team more than Hinatas solo growth.

ART

there are two main art styles here. The shounen artstyle, very riveting and indimating which makes your heart throb. The other one is the more comedic artstyle, which is actually used quite a bit. One great plus of the show is how they use these two styles together. Because of the nature of the main characters, the comedic artstyles can be used everywhere. Because one of our MC's is so hyper and energetic it creates many great opportunities to use both artstyles. And when it comes to the former one, the shounen style, it makes everything extra exciting because we normally see our main character used in the more comedic artstyle.

The other main character that our story focuses on, is Tobio Kageyama. As he is seen as Hinata's partner throughout the series, he is characterized on the contrast side to Hinata. Where Hinata is energetic and easy-go-happy, Kageyama is more silent, serious and indimitating most of the time. Because he is the counterpart to Hinata and is the complete opposite of him, you can almost guess it, when he is normally used more in the shounen style, when used in the comedic style, it is super hilarious. These two create one hell of a combination which benefit from each other in every aspect.

What other shows usually use quite flashy, the colors *looking at you KnB*, Haikyuu actually is one those series where the color differentiation is not that flashy. Sure you can make the argument that Hinata has different colored hair than anyone else and one member of the core team, Nishinoya, has one part of his hair way different than the other but that's about it. It isn't used as generically as in KnB (it is the easiest one to compare this show to xD).

The general artstyle of the show, how the characters are drawn and what kind of backgrounds there are is very simple but still unique. I just love the way Haikyuu looks like.

CHARACTERS

I guess there is not much to say about characters anymore. The one and only being that Haikyuu really explores one or two players of the opposing team always. To some of the antagonistic characters we are given a full detailed backstory and Haikyuu really does that well. In the long running series it's always great to have a full in-depth backstory to every main and side character (well at least to the bigger side characters).

What really is the advantage of this show is the fact that, at least I couldn't, you can't hate anyone. Every single character is made so lovable, so interesting in their own way or relatable that they just seem to stick in your head. It is rare for team sport games to have memorable side characters since they usually are shown only for a little while and are not given much of a perspective. This is what separates haikyuu from every other sports anime. The second season of this show is the prime example of this.

SOUND

The shounen aspect of this anime really brings out the greatness of the voice actors/actressess. Be it Hinatas screaming "give me the ball!" Or the whole team giving the simultanious "bring it on" it is always a great moment that really highlights the characters themselves as well the team aspect and Haikyuu's own athmosphere. During the intense matches there is always playing these shounen type songs which really lift the athmostphere to to max.

It isn't only during the games that the sounds are great. When giving a flashback or Hinata and Kageyama are riling themselves up for the upcoming match there can be awesome music playing in the background. So the soundtracks and voice actor/actress performances are alwyas top notch but what really highlights the most Haikyuu's sounds are the openings. The opening songs are probably one of the most intense, mood lifting and hyping song you could've hoped for.

You are most likely familiar with One Punch Man or Fullmetal Alchemist. Their openings are really the ones that get you riled up. They set the mood and ready you for the epicness that is going to unfold. Haikyuu rivals if not for some, exceeds these two. Haikyuu's openings, be it from season 1 or 2, are the best to get you ready for the show when it comes to the sports genre.

ENJOYMENT & OVERALL

Most of you who are reading this probably are a fan of sports genre. Then you should know that sports genres animes are really enjoyable, especially when there are lovable characters and epic moments to share. These are what Haikyuu offers to you. Great characters, awesome shounen moments, intensive games featuring aspects from comedy to drama.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series and can proudly say that this is one of my all time favorites. As far as a single season by itself, it did pretty frickin' well. You can easily see that from MAL's score. Throughout the season it was always in the Top 20 highest rated of all time. When the season ended, no surprise, a sudden increase came, and now it is almost rivaling a place in the Top 10. That's how goo it is.

Should you watch this series?

Fan of sports genre or not, yes. Absolutely yes. This is a great show to start the sports genre with or if you're familiar with it, why haven't you already seen this? Sure KnB was probably more popular but this is what sports anime should be like.

Hello people it's been a while . My head feels like gonna explode with knowledge , but no worries knowledge is good tho hehe. So I have been turned to 20+ on 19 of march which is the last saturday (Guess my age? ) , I have been able to celebrate my birthday on second time in my entire life . It was pretty rare to celebrate my birthday tho , you know what everybody is busy unless you have the love one remind it for you . Who's that ? . I'm talking about my family and not forgotten , of course my friends who make a suprise party in my room . Haha It was pretty cool moment and because I'm too enjoyed , I'm totally forgot to captured those moment through my lense . Holy wacamolly !! but my friends have it on instagram , so I will steal it but with permissions "of course" daaa

I think it's pretty rough month either , everybody is like "ganbatte" doing a final presentation , it feels like "emptied" for a moment , as you can see , beautiful and bad things happen in this period of time . Beautiful things is the "solar eclipse happen , All around the world seen it once in a decade . I think indonesian had a very clear view of a solar eclipse . So yaa I'm a lil bit jealous about it . I never had an experience but I will in shaa Allah in the next ten years . Weeee

Now in Malaysia and singapore we have a very critical heats and plus that , the haze is coming back too . Luckilly , alhamdulillah the rain is falling down almost every evening , eventhough it feels like "it just a minor fix" but that was a huge things for me , "A tiny hero can save the earth" . So do you want to be a part of hero ?

Here's my suggestions because we have a critical heats ,why not , take a commuter or we called it as LRT/MRT to work or BUSSES (If your work place was nearing the stations or depends on your own situations) , so we can save the green . When I take a walk at bangsar Kuala Lumpur Malaysia last wednesday and also orchard road singapore last saturday, I found a huge mount of car and the cost is jammed ! So I use a google temp apps , the temperature added to 2 - 4c ( 32c - 34/36c ) to me that was huge enough to cause a heat . Besides , "tiny problems can also cause a huge problems" .

Please do take enough plain or mineral water , because the heat is rising , we don't want to have a heat stroke in the middle of nowhere . This advise is for you and also for me . Cheers and have a nice day

SYAMSID DIARY 6 : TIMES NEVER WAIT FOR NO ONE

Assalamualaikum , hello folks how do you do ? . Alhamdulillah we already've reach the third month of 2016 which is "March" , for your informations , in islamic calendar is "Jamaadilawal" . This year was a pretty "havocly" busy for me preparing for my future .This few days , I'm already travelled almost 2000 kilometer which is Singapore - Cyberjaya , Malaysia - Perak , Malaysia and then make a U-turn back to singapore again , it seems like the future thinking about myself either . Haha #JustKidding . "Times never wait for no one" , our life sequel is like a drama . So we make our own plots , depends on your own situations but definitely you will going through something good and bad happen all the time , no worries because that's make us build an experience.

Eventhough , I did not write a post everyday , the visitors always keep coming every single day ! . I would like to thanks all of you who visiting my blog , from Malaysia , USA , Canada , Brazil , germany , vietnam or anywhere else in this world , you guys are definitely awesome visitors of all time . Yes I really mean that ! and because the "time" is important , forgive me because I could'nt make a post everyweeks . Hello there , how are you ? . before you ask - yes , I'm fine , and thanks in advanced . haha this month , I called it "this is my most exhausted month" so far . There's a lot of task that must to be done , but hey ! as you know there's nothing that we called it as "done" in our life . There's always a challenge ahead , all we need to do is "prepared" in any circumtances by saying "Alhamdulillah" "In shaa Allah" always mind what is the best for yourself .

Enough for that , On this post , I want to make a short post of appreciations for those who always visit my blog . because "you are awesome" . There's a some people said to me "please do more post" about travelling and diary , you know what ? This past few days , I do a lot of research of the "Quran" , of course , in the Books of Quran itself , books of hadith , googled , youtube and lil bit of science book and compared with the "bible" in every chapters . I'm focus it more to Quran . I must admit it , you guys must read the translations of Quran . There's a lot of insteresting stuff in there . Lost of words , imaginations of logicness that might coming right through your mind . It's definitely a perfect books of knowledge and for muslim you will gain a good profits "afterlife" too . Remember that !

Actually I'm admit that I haven't read Quran almost 2 month , I just read in arabic but never know the translations "how"it was , so I want to redeem myself back to the right path with Quran and tranlations , will definitely learn arabic back in the right ways . Knowledge is important whether you are not having diploma or degree , the higher educations levels such as Masters or PHD , but if you doesn't have islamic knowledge in you especially for muslims , believe me you are still on level zero as human . SYAMSID DIARY 4 : FEBRUARY 6TH + OLA BOLA

It's already february , Such a hectic month for me , I don't know how much post I'll make it this month but I'll do my best ! Is it too late to wish "Happy february" ? haha Crossed my finger and I hope to post more . ( What kind of phrase was that ) haha . So , One month seems so short right ? after one day or another we "upgrading" to what we called "years and old" . How old are you right now ? Keep that in mind , How old am I now ? . I will keep that in mind too . I know some of you going wild when you were still young , neither was good or bad that depends on you because , you're "right now" will developing "yourself" for the future , eventhough there's more years to go , life was hard , like in my previous post I'm always saying "beautiful suprise" , like in malaysian muslim ( my country ) , or any muslim in this world we always say "Alhamdulillah" means all praised to Allah .

When we talk about "old" or "young" , I kind of think that , what is differents between this 2 human ? . Yesterday I was in NUS Utown cafe , you know what . I observe their behaviour "believe me , I'm not a stalker , I'm such an observant kind of person" . Haha I just wanna say ,wherever you go , you must at least say "hai" to them or "Assalamualaikum" for muslim in person . You can't ignore them like they were a doll , one more thing if their job as a "cleaner" doesn't mean they did not have the right priority to be a human , hey believe me , cleaner is not an easy job to do . Not everyone can do that everyday . please do treat them like a normal human , all you need to do just put a smile and say "hai"and say "Thank you" for extra appreciations

So after I have a cup of tea with jason , I ran to the mosque to perform solat jumaat at masjid sultan , Singapore . Luckily Anthony gave me a ride to the mosque . What a right timing , isn't it ? haha Thanks tho appreciate that a lot . Friday is such a bless day , I saw a little indian muslim , he organised all the slipers and he do it for free . May Allah bless you little boy , may Allah bless you . I don't know you but your parents must be proud have a son like you ( If he read this , maybe he'll think or saying "hurm if he talking about me" , he will run out of his house and saying "I'm a HERO" Haha just kidding that was my imaginations instead of real things . haha

During evening , we have a chit chat through whatsapp . So it's kind of boring and I'm start packing my stuff going to Doha , Qatar because I have a job to do over there , automatically I'm not going back to Perak , Malaysia for a few days .

Jason and Kimmy suggested us to watch Ola bola , hey why not a lil bit of entertaiment , that should be fun aite . I check on review and their trailer before I start to watch officially on cinema . That was such an epic ! .

Eventhough I'm Malaysian this is my first time I watch malaysian movie haha , ( Sorry I'm so ashamed about myself too haha ) but I'm totally hooked up with this kind of story . In Malaysia we have different races , we eat with the same kind of food , we shared stories , we talked different language , yet we still unite as One . "This movie" I totally feel their passions about football or soccer , believe me it's not just about the soccer , it's about "Unity" . For those who haven't watch this movie , I totally recomended this movie a lot . Believe me you will definitely never regret it . Great job to the producer and the team . What's up readers , before I'm going to class , so here we are for my another installations of "My Life Diary" number 3 ! . In this weeks , I do have a quality time with youtubes haha but in this post , I will make a few selections according to my recomended youtube videos on my own point of views . I need you to sit back and relax , have a potatoe snacks on your side and here we go for my short recomendations of youtube vids

Oh almost forgotten , before that ! I just change the colour , especially on blog header , did you guys notice it or not ? haha Every month or maybe once a weeks , I will keep on changing . You know , h u m a n s . always got bored with the same things , except having a girlfriends or wife . haha just kidding , I change because of I want it to . (^_^)

These day's when I got back from the class or work , I played this song with my own guitar , Jason ( my friends / roommates ) we are both sing-a-long of this song almost everyday haha . I like the lyrics of this song especially when he said

Sometime in this life , we always have or at least "tiny" mistakes neither with your girlfriends , friends , your mom or your dad , your sister , your brother or should I say anyone who knows you . So I dedicated my versions of this "thoughts" to anyone , for some reason it reminds me of the homeless people at Kuala Lumpur , I visit them and talk to them personally , and ask them " Where's your family?" and he kind of shy but he bravely told me by saying "My families abandon me because of my financial broke, and my son shame of me because of my mistakes" . I know , It is very easy to take revenge but it is very difficult to forgive others. It needs a broad and great heart. Because of the material world we live in, it is common for a person but forgiveness is an attribute of Allah SWT and you will grant a great reward which is "jannah" #FORGIVENESS

This is one of the best islamic channel on youtube . The one and only "Beyond Translation" . Am I the first blogger to make a review about this channel ? It seems so . haha but If anyone who shared about this indeed , you have a beautiful hearts and soul ( I'm not saying this to myself , I'm saying this to you ) Muehehe . What a coincidence also this weeks , I do a quran research related to my name , when I first watch this on youtube , I don't realized that was Mizz Nina and I'm quite impress with her journey to be a good /better muslims ,

BEYOND TRANSLATIONS

I don't want to call her Mizz Nina , I want to call her in proper name which is Shazrina . If Shazrina read my blog I want to tell her "Noh such a lucky man to have you , and you guys such an adorable couple too (ouch) haha . I know you've seen the worst before , but after that you also seen the light , I shall give you my respects for that . May Allah guidance you with the greatest journey of life and always fix the others who need those guidance to be a better muslim/muslimah . Fix them and they will fix you . Maybe y'all already know that I'm quite obsessed with the japanese culture , not just an anime itself , it's also their traditions culture and I love how they make something simple but yet still effectives . So , Mr Danny Choo here show the culture "how it works" especially related to an Anime . He interviewed , he explore and he gives a good response too . Believe it or not , I've met him af AFA singapore . He such a humble guy and we have a few chit chats related to anime too . Awesome moment to be remembered ! :D

I'm pretty sure you guys will love this japanese dancing robotic crew . someone share this on twitter last year and for the first time when I saw their move , mind blowing ! how did they make a look almost like a robot . SUGOI ! I mean sugoiiiiiii !

WORLD ORDER

I learn japanese and korean language at Beyond Language school , Orchard Road Singapore almost 7 month , and yes almost graduate as "Translator" as well . yahoo ! . For those agencies , embacies or any NGO's who need me as their translator , I have certificates on this field. Of course ,l will be glad to take your offer. hehe

Now I add more language to my brain which is french language . Lucklily my older sister was an expert in french language , I registered to her home class like almost 2 weeks , so I got this class for free . A lil bit about my sister , she's lawyer , she's single , she's 26 this year , can speak 6 language including bahasa Melayu and everyone in her office call her scarlett johansson because her face almost like her but in hijab version of course hahaha . Thanks Syarafina ! you're my favourite sister in the world ! haha

Like I said in my previous post #SavingsIsMyTopPriority .From my opinion , eventhough I take engineering , I love mathematics so much ! but I'm not rich in wealth so I like to explore more what my brain can do and rich them with knowledge . Always remember to you and expecially to myself , dua is the most powerful weapon in our life because Allah SWT , indeed ! the best listener in the universe . SYAMSID DIARY 2 : BALIK KAMPUNG / GOING BACK HOME

It's been a few days , I'm still on holiday mood at Parit , Perak but today was my last day at "kampung" home . "The times never wait for no one" , that's how the time passing by so quickly ! , and of course , I have a few picture that I captured during my holiday mood at "kampung". Before that! I want to ask you ,how often do you going back home to meet your parents ? #JustAsking Well in this my short post for journey x diary, I'm so lucky that I have a home with a good green surrounding that we called (Omg I don't know how to put this "kampung" situations) well then , I will leave that into your imaginations. haha

Back in the school day , this is one of the road I used to go to school , actually this road reminds me a lot of my childhood memories , after I cameback from school , I am always dive like a superman . You see those lovely goats over there? That's the exact spot that I used to dive , haha when I think of it "Wow I'm such a hero kampung at that time" . Now ? I'm just a blogger hero haha , always follow the trends guys . Always !

I'm sorry Mr and Mrs Goatsy , Am I intrude your dating mood ?. I did not expect there's a people here on the kampung kota pagar chalet , some of them are visitors and some of them are locals . Locals as usual , they work here for the chalet service , but yet still peaceful surrounding with nature , worth it for relaxations !

I've passed two border tolls yeay, now I'm officially at the land of buffalos . Now you can see the clear path , I'm walking down from up there , It's not far actually but becareful of the buffalos poops .

Since I was a child , I was a river fanatic and of course "Anime" as well, haha there's so much memories in here , I start my swimming lessons with my brother/sister here . At that time ,we didn't have so much money , my dad was a teacher , his also a part time rubber tapper (menoreh getah) my mother was a full time housewives . My sister always told me "how to manage water / electricity very well" . We take a bath here everyday before maghrib and you know "bamboo" stick . we used it for hanging our cloth .haha how I missed that time . #SavingsIsATopPriorityUntillNow

When I ride along of this islamic school ( sekolah pondok ) , I heard tahfiz student were reciting Al-quran . Some of you don't know my full name right ? My name is Muhammad Syamsid Dhuha . Why I told my full name . This is how lucky I am, yesterday , they were reciting surah dhuha and surah syams . Are they planning for this ? Nope! I think it's just coincidence . haha but still I feel so bless .Alhamdulillah Thanks dad ! haha

At the end , when I was arrived at home , I look at Malaysian flags at the front of my house .I feel so glad that I lived in such a peaceful country even there's so much speculations in media or media social . Hello Folks , how do you do ? It has been quite a while since my last blog update and quite a lot has happened in that time too , so I will make it short , so you guys "can know how" busy I'm on this weeks ! haha , so first of all , I want ask you guys . So any of you guys noticed that I'm always change blog design especially header and sidebar of this blog . Well then here's the story why I'm keep changing my blog style

I'm quite a detailed person which is everything what I do or what I want to do , I want everything according to my plan and Idea .Of course I'm definitely want to make it as soon as possible , make it done with a good quality ! . I want to thanks to this Art students who helps me how to use Adobe Photoshops CS6 and Adobe Illustrator CS6 ( eventhough I know I'm still an amateur wait I mean A newbie to this field , and have more to learn with sensei ) . Her name is Sara M.Abdullah , well she's shy cat ( not dog! haram you know ? Haram) haha . She has a blog all about Arts and her draw was superb tho ! I want to ask the owner about the links but she said to me yesterday "Oh I want to customize it and convert it to flash" , she's kind of an old school kind of girl , everyone now aday used whatsapp to chat but she's not , she's still use YM , yep ! YM (Yahoo Messenger) haha (^_^)

Even so , there's so much to settled up , pack scheduled of mine but still I'm interested to attend some various event like "Think business" they actually made it last year , so it's quite facinate how they debate about economics and how to survive in this wild world while I'm chew some apple at the back while thinking "hurm now I know how steve jobs got an Idea to make Apple.co" . but yet very informative events

Hey hey hey , I posted this photo's on instagram 2 days ago which is I said "Anyone dare to be Spiderman? superhero needed !" haha why I'm going to NUS Utown sports ? Well to tell you the truth , I don't even know why I'm here as well , haha. My friend told me "Syamsid do you free on this afternoon?" and I said "well it seems so. why ?" "let's studies" well we should be on studies mood at that time but Jonathan saw two pretty girl accross the street that we should be heading to a library , guesss what ! he changed his plan and bring me with him to follow those two girls . See *I'm innocent haha . After a few hundred steps/minutes we arrived at wall climbing , University Town or Utown . At this time , I don't know where's Jonathan but thanks to him I saw a pros climbing those walls *Is there a spiderman auditions yet? haha

Well after I've gone through all of this week , I really don't know how it ends , it will never ends anyway . haha , but after looking at sunsets , as I thought "Life is beautiful" . Allah swt is great ! always create things when we actually never knew it was coming #BeautifulSuprise . Alhamdulillah , now I'm looking forward how I'm going through next , Everyday has a chapter neither it was good or bad we still going through our life till the end. So why we living on earth ? Syamsid Journey : F1 Special Recaps / Short Story : My Life Episode 2012/2016

Good morning folks , how are you ? By the way , I was a few lucky ones to be able to watch the Malaysian GP in march 2012 – and not to mention the extra hospitality that comes along with the ticket. thank you to someone! thank you. this is by far the most exclusive ticket i’ve ever got! domo arigatou! and yeah,

this lady was searching for vettel or webber by the way… they were still in the garage (sad)…

Alonso and a sauber (i think) getting ready for grid position. i have always been a follower of f1. my first ever full race review was back in 2009 in which i saw sauber was parading petronas brand name on its bodywork and stewart team in the other hand, has a malaysian government sponsorship by putting the word “visit malaysia” on its side-rear wing. i was like “whoaaa… since when did petronas & malaysian government participate in f1?”. from there onwards, i developed my interest in f1 and followed mika hakkinen before switching to fernando alonso (back when he first joined benetton renault. i was like searching for a new f1 hero when hakkinen retired!).

During that time , lewis hamilton was fast but i don’t like him but after his having a contract with Petronas Mercedes in 2016 well ..... (hahahha). but as a driver, he really is an interesting one to watch. always pushing the car to its limit, always pounding on the car in front of him..and always get into trouble and accidents due to his rather reckless driving.

Vettel did not have a good run during the first 2 races in 2012. he was invincible in 2010 and 2011 with the superfast red bull renault machinery. he’s in my KIV list. should alonso retire, i’ll have to choose the next f1 hero to follow. Him and a few names has already been under my consideration :) #NicosFor2016

Two-times world champ (both under the benetton renault machinery and boss flavio briatore) was the eventual winner of the 2012 malaysian f1 gp – after enduring heavy rain, race suspension and under safety car situation. one thing i like about alonso is his ability to max out the potential of a car. even though ferrari did not win much last year, but alonso managed to get podiums and credible top 5 spot in most races. those are very hard to achieve considering how far ferrari speed and performance last year compared to red bull renault and mclaren mercedes.

A little memorablia from the race. how come it’s a red bull renault t-shirt? the answer – i wanted to buy a ferrari shirt but it costs RM250. this one worth RM175. i didn’t want to come back empty handed, so i chose this one. i like fernando alonso’s ferrari t-shirt but i love my money more. what a fate..and what a decision. in anyway, i blew out RM175 for a t-shirt that day. hah!

how lonely a few empty seats in an empty courtyard can be? very empty and lonely indeed. but i like the way how the evening sun light got through into the courtyard. it’s like rays of hope.

yikes!! and who the hell is this? or what the hell is this? or.. what the hell???! hahahha.. this is supposed to be my self portrait but I cut myself in half and ended up covering my face with something that looks like a face and hair hahahaha. but the sunglasses looked awesomely fit up on my nose! and..just look at that hair! a tsunami above my head!

my dad is now the followers of apple products and he has got himself an i-pad 2 in about 3 months after the official release. as for me, the only apple i "can afford is the real apple sold in supermarket. the one that i can consume quietly while thinking about what my life purpose is.. in every bite and chew."

My first thought upon laying my eyes on this two-wheeler is – bumblebee!. it looked beaten and ready to enroll for old folks home registration. however, the overall structure looks rather road worthy and the colors are still in its prime condition (even though traces of neglect can be seen). this is classic. but some people don’t see it that way - sometimes classic is junk.

I like to document skies – morning, afternoon, evening, night, clouds and traces of lights in the sky. for me, the sky is beautiful. clouds are mesmerizing. the light traces in the sky are the lovely mysteries.

What were you doing during the 60-min earth hour? i was eating dinner that time of day. but that means leaving my house without any electricity running.

saw these rusty lamp (i don’t know what they are called in english) and i remembered that i have one back in my childhood days. i would be the one to light the lamp each and every time the electricity went out, and sit staring at it for lots of time before the electricity came back on (and that explains why my eyesight is bad and now i have to wear glasses).

I sat in front of a british india boutique and decided that the display window is worth of a shot. these mannequins fascinated me. they are trapped behind the super clear glass window looking at the rest of the world. some may have the idea that they are the one watching us. well.. still they are trapped behind the glass. their life serves no purpose apart from living in that small area while wearing expensive clothing. hmmm.. sorry to say.

this is a picture of a picture on display. how does it look? i’d be extra mayonnaise grateful should there be at least one person to say that it’s a nice ‘boring’ shot..hahahha..

this shopping trolley got here by itself. tired from being pushed around along narrow alleys and sometimes being abused by nasty little kids, this metal fellow got itself out from the shopping arcade to a more relaxed and chill atmosphere. beside the comfy seats, this metal fellow found solitude and peace.. temporarily.

I don’t know what these means and they are not hiragana and katakana either. but it’s being displayed on the wall of a restaurant. alien’s literature perhaps…

At least one person noticed me taking his picture, or maybe he was just having a long view and buried in deep thought. i dunno. never had the courage to ask him :)

Not a perfect noodle (the waiter told me some of the garnish not available) but i forgave him since i was dead hungry. aside that, i have this book – on the road by jack kerouac -, accompanying me most of the times these days. i used to like reading fictions, but i found that to concentrate on a book while i was having miserable time juggling between imperfect jobs and sad life was very far too much to handle. i got this book in 2010 and redeemed it under income tax refund (thank you) and only had the time to read it last month! i know it’s a good book. a recommendation from a friend who happened to read it while touring the whole peninsular with depleted cash and get to make a full circle by doing bits of music and with help from his circle of friends in almost every state. what a guy. i’ve been trying to find a book entitled “to the hell and back – and other stories”. do you know who the author is? (well i do..). take a guess. but until now, the book is hard to find.

Trying to find the next in line for my future reading. i do have a few in mind and also some recommendations from a friend who love to read. but in the mean time, it is ‘on the road’ for me :)

Out and about around KL/bandar Utama/PJ also means i got my wallet spending on uniqlo stuff. hmmm.. this time 2 crew neck shirt – short sleeve and long sleeve (also being given UT tabloid and uniqlo summer fashion book – very many pages lah). not just that, i also bought a perfume! scent… scent… scent…

Remembering my kenzo perfume is now on its safety stock level, i hurried on the next purchase – clinique happy. kenzo lasted for more than one year now. bought it approximately march last year. a few more months to go before kenzo is all finished. and shinobu, the cute vampire is pointing at the camera with no apparent reason.

yuko takeuchi is beautiful as she always does. and this is a fun to watch movie – golden slumber. kind of fugitive-style but being told not the way hollywood would do. it has the elements of surprise, humor, emotional, conspiracy, friendship, love, tragedy and all! the yellow toyota is one good character in the movie. i wish it was me with yuko takeuchi in that car hehehe. there is also emotional moment in which the accused hero did not have any place to go and it was then his father confronted the media (media nationwide accusing him the man behind the prime minister's car bombing) and gave him a moving short message (and ended with a funny short message as well). the title on the poster is written in katakana – goruden suranba… fyi. hehehe.. please watch if you have time! it’s a good movie and yuko takeuchi is damn cute and beautiful!

Anime Talk & Review : One Punch Man / ワンパンマン / Wanpanman

I remember when I was 8 years old, I used to be excited for a new Pokemon episode everyday. I used to run from school to my house so that I wouldn’t miss any single moment. Then as you grow up, such excitement starts to fade away. No matter how good a show is, only a few shows can generate such an excitement for a viewer. I never would’ve imagined that an anime would make me feel that excitement again at 20 yrs. And lucky for me, it aired on Sundays!

Story: 7/10

One Punch Man’s story is simple- The story of an average guy who’s a hero for fun. Now what makes this unique is that this show is a parody. For people new to that genre, it’s an imitation of other work. Basically what this anime does is it makes a parody out of shounen genre, where you have a male protagonist who gets beaten down, and then trains or in some other way defeats the bad guy. Here, the MC is just over-powered to the extent that he gets depressed there’s no one strong enough to challenge him. You might think that such a strong person would be revered as a God by the people. Sadly, you’re mistaken. The people don’t even know he exists!! . This really plays a major point in the later episodes, when Saitama has to show his strength infront of the public, and becomes one of the highlight of this series. This show was created to poke fun at all tropes in anime. This is a story made to enjoy, not to be taken seriously. Anyone who is open-minded will enjoy this anime to its full extent.

Art: 9/10

Now the only reason I gave this a 9 is because of the meticulously high standard set by Ufotable in the Fate series and Kara no Kyoukai movies. But by no means is it far behind. In most anime, usually the MC has some kind of weapon, you can just add some flashy effects to go with it. But here, we have a hero who’s weapon are just his fists . The fights had to be carefully drawn and animated. And when you have a studio like Madhouse doing it, you know they rarely disappoint. Fluid motion, spectacular effects, no weird faces, nothing overdramatic. Simple, yet awesome. The best part of this anime has to be the “Saitama Expressions”. If you didn’t smile atleast a little when you saw the “OK” face, then I guess your sense of humour is locked up somewhere. Madhouse know how to make the viewer enjoy the anime to the full extent. The way they used Tatsumaki’s “chibi mode” expressions from the webcomic, and boldly animated it in the anime deserves separate praise. Also the landscape for OPM universe is also brilliant. Even the ordinary people are drawn with careful details. Another important aspect here is the design for the villains, especially Sea King and Boros, each having something unique, and they give out the “strong, badass” vibe when you just look at them. Also, the art in the final episode is 11/10.

Sound: 10/10

God-level. Simply eargasmic. When you have an opening theme that makes you want to shout “ONE PUUUUUUUNCH!” every time you hear it, you know the soundtrack’s gonna be amazing. For me, the first thing I’d hear in my mind every morning when I wake up is someone shouting “ONE PUUUUUUNCH!” That’s how much I love that opening theme. From character bgm’s to fight themes, the music suits every situation perfectly, making them more epic. I would rewatch every episode again just to hear the music, that’s how good it is. The voice acting is also brilliant, especially Aoi Yuuki, who brilliantly brought out Tatsumaki’s bratty voice, and Yuki Kaji, whose voice fits Sonic’s character perfectly.

Character: 10/10

Once in a lifetime you watch shows where every character in it makes an impact. One Punch Man is mine. I can probably name every single character that appeared in these 12 episodes. That’s how much of an impact they make. Saitama with his care-free attitude, the loyal cyborg Genos, Jack’o Lantern Panic, Brattymaki, Justice Rider, the S-class heroes like Silver Fang, Metal Bat, Pri-Pri Prisoner, King, and all the others have a uniqueness that makes you remember them. Even characters whom play a cameo like Carnage Kabuto, Mosquito Girl, Snek, Stinger, Amai Mask manage to leave an impression, which is something most anime fail to do. And when you have such a strong character cast, the anime rarely falters.

Enjoyment: 10/10

This anime was made to enjoy, and One Punch Man nails the formula. I enjoyed every second of it. 24x12 minutes of pure awesomeness. It makes you laugh, the “wow” feeling when you watch those spectacularly animated fight scenes, even the simple dialogues between the characters make you laugh hard. There is no walking in on naked girl scenes , fan service and other shit like that. This anime makes me remember that Charlie Chaplin didn’t have to talk to make people laugh and enjoy his movies. Just his reactions and expressions were enough. And Saitama’s expressions and reactions reminded me of that again. And no matter how many times you rewatch it, you’ll never get bored. That’s the kind of masterpiece this is.

Overall rating: 10/10

One Punch Man is a masterpiece. I’ve been watching anime for about 8 years, watched around 400 anime series, and I’d only have around 5 anime which I’d give a 10/10. But this show is just simply that good. If I could I’d have given this a 999/10 for enjoyment. Studio Madhouse is just leagues ahead of any anime studio. I wish I could go to Japan and personally congratulate them for making such a great anime. While I’m at that, I could also beg them to make a Season 2 of the anime when the manga has enough material for it. Natsume Shingo, the director of this anime, deserves all the credit for bringing together an amazing team, and voice cast to create this anime. Overall, One Punch Man does what it sets out to deliver, Entertain. And boy oh boy it does so in style!!

Hello folks , now we back on track of continuations of japan journey episode 8 . There's a lot , I want to shared my journey in my blog but first , Happy new year ! Can you believe that , we already've entered the year of 2016. Yahoo . i love ferris wheels. i love the designs and when at night, it would be a spectacle to watch it. this one located in minato mirai area is a famed one. i have always loved this one and will still love it forever more minato mirai area is full of fun stuff including parks, amusement parks, shopping arcades and not forgetting the beautiful ferris wheel

the weather was not fine that day. spending your yen to the observation tower would be a waste. but on a more glorious weather day, you are welcomed to see the beauty of tokyo under the sun and blue sky ^^

at first we wanted to walk exploring the parks but then we cancelled it.. hahaha..

i insisted my friends to walk to the aka renga warehouse.. after being intimidated (haha), they agreed to walk there..

we can take the inside route but i opted for seaside route. here’s what you’ll see..

minato mirai area also holds fireworks display every year. a shame that i could not see it during my visit to japan..

and.. after a while, we have arrived at the aka renga warehouse. folks hanging out fishing hoping for a good catch. the rainbow bridge in the distance

aka renga warehouse (Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse). two rows of red-brick warehouse that is also a soothing place to have a walk and dates ^^. these two warehouses is no longer serving it’s old purpose as the port’s warehouse but they both serves as main tourist attraction in yokohama.

there happened to be a porsche’s owners gathering there. on the end of the building (the red tent) was the place where models posing for pictures. some of them even dance! cute. but i didn’t capture many of the pics since my friends got me covered by taking the models pictures hysterically. and not forgetting a small concert also being held up.. (this one further back there – can’t be seen in this picture)

Before I start to answering Siti Syilah question , I would like to announce that , this is my first installation of got tagged question segment in my blog . Hurray ! . Haha For those out there who don't know what is "tag question" is . I will try to explain it a lil bit about it . To me it's unlike the usual form of questions, question tags do not use typical question words, as in the example above.Instead, they usually follow the structure below From my observations of main statement + tag statement .

For example “Do you like anime? If so, what your favourite anime?” In this example, the first part “I like Anime so much , now I tried to recover back Dragon ball start from 1 st episode” seems like a statement describing a fact . Haha who cares just answer it ! haha rather than a question. But the second part of the sentence, “aren’t they?” is the tag and this part changes it from an ordinary statement into a question. You can turn any statement into a question in this way.

Alright enough already and let's start answered all of these questions by Siti Syilah .So ! Are you Ready ? Alright ! here's goes nothing . Haha

Do you like anime? If so, what's your favourite anime?

Of course ! There are sooo many good animes out there and i think you have just yet to find one that really interests you. For 2015 - 2016 , One Punch Man ( Seinen Super Hero ) , Haikyuu S1 / S2 ( Sports Anime - Voleyball ) and Of course Noragami Aragoto ( Shounen ) . Pretty interesting story and there are some parts that are really thought provoking but surely it some badass anime ! Keep asking your friends for recommendations and i'm sure you'll find one that you like soon. Then you'll be able to appreciate the beauty of animes. I remembered my friends once said this "Anime is like poetry in motion"

Which place would you like to go?

Eventhough I'm already've been these two places before but I still want to say , "I want to re-visit Japan more !" and of course "re-visit back to Saudi Arabia" ( Mekah and Madinah )

There's a reason I want to visit Japan again bcs one of the city I visit is Tokyo is so clean to the point where it almost looks brand new. Not one scrap of rubbish is strewn on the pathways or dropped as litter; no large bin bags are left festering for collection; the ‘five-second’ rule of eating something dropped on the floor could turn into the ‘five-minute’ rule haha and no graffiti can be found covering an old wall or alleyway. ( actually I saw one in vending machine but yet it's still clean ! ) Tokyo is the window into the future where people respect their surroundings. It’s as clinical like our neighbours country no need to mentions "Clue - Lion" Haha Ahh almost forgot ! . When you go over , everyone will help you . Every time I have asked for directions, the person hasn’t just pointed, they have walked me right to the spot. Arigatou ( Thank you ) to the kindess of stranger . Haha

And there's also a reason why I want to re-visit Saudi Arabia probably the most beautiful thing about the trip was the re emphasis it gave me to focus my life on the akhirat (the next life). As I was sitting there in the haram (name for the holy mosques in Mekah and Madinah) or in Malay often said "Ka'abah staring at the Kaa'bah I felt like I was getting a little piece of heaven. . Mekah and Madinah I will go there again , In shaa Allah

Syamsid Journey : From Malaysia To Japan : Episode 7 ( Tokyo Tower - Tsichiura town - Rainbow Bridge )

okay people.. the seventh edition of journey to japan is now continued with a visit to one of japan’s icon –tokyo tower. standing at 333 meters, the tower was highlighted as a xmas tree since christmas was actually today. Haha..and of course yesterday was mauidur Rasul , and still I want to say "Selamat Menyambut Maulidur Rasul" anyhow, sorry for yet another delay in updates. been busy of late and this set of pics has been in queue for many many while. sorry for that.

taking off from the last entry, we parked our car here and walked up the hills to the beautiful tower. personally, tokyo tower is one of my favorite structure around the world – the iconic red and white tower.

it was nearing closing time and my friends didn’t want to go up seeing the city’s skyline. as for me, being here is more than enough. snapped lots of the tokyo tower’s pictures and i got loads of tokyo tower pics in my computer as well. i may be able to open a gallery soon

on the way back we walked through a small garden just near tokyo tower. the garden is beautiful and there were lots of cats roaming around (but there was no hint of cat poops around the garden. maybe they use the toilet). one more thing to note is that it is hard to see dogs’ poop and cats ‘ poop around tokyo ^^

this vending machine is the victim of some unlawful hands. but the model’s picture was intact from graffiti. lucky ! ^^

driving through roppongi hills. didn’t stop as it was kind of late and we were all busted after a long day. too bad i couldn’t take much pics of roppongi hills. it’s a popular spot to visit. and i did not able to take a stroll at ginza as well. though i was in japan/tokyo for a week, but it seems i couldn’t stick to my original plan. hehe.. i wish i could teleport to be able to reach to my destinations in less than a blink of an eye ^^

the morning came and here’s the bicycle parking at my friend’s apartment. no, i was not about to explore tsuchiura town with bikes..

tadaaaa! we rented a car from a local mazda rental shop for two days. last time when we visited mount fuji, it was the courtesy of my friend whom we were staying with. such a cool and kind dude. thanks a million!! the whole two days rent was aboy 12,600 yen. kinda cheap.. it’s a cute car hehehe. the yellow license plate is used for k-car category.

and so we have arrived at yokohama. tall modern glass buildings all around.. it sucks the weather was this bad.. *sigh*…

we found a parking spot and this picture is taken on the upper level pedestrian walkways. see that bus? if you watch j-drama kuitan, the bus appears in one of the episodes hehe. anyway, kuitan was filmed mainly in yokohama. so this will look familiar to those who watched that j-drama.

Syamsid Journey : From Malaysia To Japan : Episode 6 ( Night at the Tokyo Skytree - Ginza )

Welcome to my continuation of japan part 6 . Before heading back to tsuchiura, we took a drive around tokyo and stopped by at tokyo skytree. this is the latest tokyo attraction and it’s the tallest free standing structure right now. pls correct me if i’m wrong ^^tokyo skytree also hosts office buildings and shops and stores and some eating places. good smile company’s new office is on the 17th floor of the building besides the skytree (if i’m not wrong). for your information, good smile company is popular among the anime industry – nendoroids, figures, etc.

I should be able to explain to you what this store is all about.. but i can’t remember any of the details.. hahaha.. sorry..

Syamsid Journey : From Malaysia To Japan : Episode 5 ( Mount Fuji )

hello folks.. welcome to the continuation of my journey to japan which was on the end of october 2015. before the months go by any further, let’s begin the adventures (not really adventurous ^^) now. we continue the journey to japan with a lovely sunny day and blue sky. me and comrades were on the way to mount fuji by car and we passed by tokyo along the way. mount fuji is so majestic that you can clearly see it from tokyo. i was lucky to be able to see mount fuji (fuji san as referred by the japanese people) on such a clear day as this.

The journey was kinda long and fuji san is quite far from tokyo. since we embarked from tsuchiura, the journey took much longer time. luckily i wasn’t driving hehe. now, along the way i took several japan’s signs located on the side of the roads.

basically, japanese drive according to rules but there are still some bad seeds nonetheless. but majority of the japanese in tokyo drive with good ethics. there are no lines cutting, no using of emergency lanes even during traffic jams, no using of hazard light when driving (use hazard light only for thanking people for giving way into the lane, when stopping at the road side and using the hazard lights when braking heavily as to warn the car at the back).
this is the road inside tokyo. the time was roughly around 8.00 – 9.00am.entering the mountainous region heading for fuji san. the sun is a big spotlight shining brightly on the cloudless sky. terrific!!
stopping by for toilets and food. since it was on weekend, the highway is full with cars travelling out from tokyo.this the convenient store we stopped by. lots of other people stopped by to stretch out their legs and arms after spending hours in the car.

this is calpis soda and tuna sushi wrapped with seaweed. both are delicious! yummyssss! (tuna sushi = 100yen)fuji san looked regal reaching out to the sky. it looked so big.

there’s an amusement park just a few kilometers towards kawaguchi lake. kawaguchi lake is one of the nice spots to view fuji san.

this is the junction that took forever to pass. there were too many cars coming from tokyo heading to kawaguchi lake as well (>_<)

Anime Talk & Review : Kiseijuu - Sei No Kakuritsu / Parasyte - the maxim - / 寄生獣セイの格率 (17+)

If Tokyo Ghoul is fast food then Parasyte is fine dining. Stories that adhere to the "invasion of humanity" gimmick is nothing groundbreaking in any way. It's been done many times on the silver screen, usually in the sci-fi genre, from large scale takeovers like 1978's Invasion of the Body Snatchers to more up close and personal ones like 2003's Dreamcatcher. The fear of an unknown sentient entity that can challenge us both intellectually and physically is something that has always peeked the interest of the viewing populace for decades. While not always intentional, they tend to it bring up themes like the human condition, human ethics and Darwinism. This is often what draws the line between a decent popcorn flick and an entertaining social commentary. Being both thought provoking and entertaining is a hard feat to pull off but Parasyte does just that. It draws you in with the uncanny imagery and insane violence while still visually presenting themes that can often make the viewer question their perspective on the topic at hand. Of course like any show it had it's fair share of issues as well but the overall product was still satisfactory. Today I'll discuss it's highlights and missteps.

Story: 8/10

To avoid regurgitating the info you can simply read in the synopsis I'll get to the point.

While the implications of the story is universal the approach it takes is a more personal one. Following the life of our protagonist Shinichi we see the conflict unfold through his eyes and the effects it had on his personal life. With this personal approach we get to understand the individual impact a shift in society's norm can undergo. All of a sudden something other than humans had authoritarian control over Earth. It's a power struggle that's made that much more potent given the fact that even the most savage of beasts could never match our intellectual prowess. Parasyte shows that the only thing separating us from being on the the rear end of the hierarchical food chain is simply our ability to think beyond standard means of self preservation. While we do get a macro overview of the effects and how it's disrupting society the story always kept it's main focus on Shinichi's conflict. The pacing really helped to sell the story and conflict as well. Key events that shape our protagonist both internally and mentally was given enough time to let the moment sink in but it never dwell on them too long to cause it to lose effect. This kept everything at a brisk pace while giving itself enough breathing room to let the impact of traumatic events to unfold. Of course there was some issues, some events felt too left field at times and often led to a temporary disconnect of immersion, most of which involved the earlier school shenanigans or certain side characters acting unrealistic but thankfully it was something that never impeded on the show too long to sour final impressions.
Another issue that some might notice is the plausibility of some events, which again ties back to some of the issues found in the earlier school episodes. Since the source material was made in the late 80s but they try to implement it for modern standards it led to some questionable plot points, like how the parasites manage to stay hidden for so long with surveillance cameras, people with cell phones, the internet and other tech that makes easy information gathering virtually impossible to avoid these days. In other words the story isn't as plausible as it could of been if they had it kept it set in the time period it was written for. This isn't to discredit it as most won't even be bothered by it, but it's something that need to be brought to light.

The common comparisons between Tokyo Ghoul and Parayste is one that's warranted since they both made their anime debut around the same time and both approach similar constructed setups. But unlike Tokyo Ghoul, Parayste explores the societal implications of dealing with a foreign body. The parasites were used as allegorical proxies to many of the show's themes and not simply just a reason to show bishounen cock fights. Like I pointed out in my opening statement, this is what separates the two and makes a clear divide between entertainment with substance and one that barely tried. One provided proper social commentary while the other simply had it as an idea for flavoring.
The final episode perfectly encapsulates all the themes the show presented to those who were keen to them, making it an ending that came full circle and had a solid resolution. Of course some would argue that it could of done more but for what we got it was pretty solid and tied everything up nicely.
Because Parasyte was thematically rich while still being action packed it can be a satisfactory experience for those that watch shows solely for enjoyment and viewers that like to analyze their content. It's a rare blend of mindless fun and conceptual coherence. It's this balance that makes it easy to appeal to both casual fans and veterans. Of course this isn't to say Parasyte reaches the pinnacle of what it had to offer and it could of done more with the material it had but it's certainly a breath of fresh air in comparison to the pseudo-intellectual bait and mass produced school rom coms that we get every year. It's not a "2deep4you" title but it certainly placed more effort in having coherency with it's concepts than most action shows bother with.

Art/animation: 7/10

The art and animation wasn't anything to jump out of your seat for but the attention to detail and fluidity helped to engross you into it. The character designs were fairly simple and help to give an idea of the character's traits before we even hear them talk. The biggest standout was of course the fight scenes and the detailed anthropomorphic imagery that both served to creep you out and draw on that oddball fascination we all get to things unfamiliar to us. The color palette was eye catching enough on a regular basis but switched to a more acid washed texture or added more saturated colors for whenever it tried to heighten the mood of key events (school hallway anyone?). While nothing that'll win any awards anytime soon the art and animation did enough to stand on it's own and help to set the atmosphere of the show.

Sound: 7/10

Now this is where alot of viewers have a divide.
Parasyte's music selection is a hit or miss depending on your personal preference in music. It's like one of the producers snuck into their teenage kid's room and copied the songs straight off their playlist. "this is what the kids are listening to these days" seem to be the shtick they went with. If anything it really helped to distinguish Parasyte from the rest of the crowd.

The soundtrack is very contemporary, largely composed of EDM (electronic dance music) tracks. The EDM tracks come in a few selection of different sub-genres that can range from techno, dubstep, drum 'n' base, hardstyle, house, trap, downtempo, trance and every variant in between. Of course that's not all it has, as there are a few new school orchestric tracks and soft electronic piano ballads thrown in for good measure. But EDM is the dominating song choice, most noticeably dubstep for those unfamiliar with the sub-genres. Needless to say if EDM is you cup of tea then you'll be in for a treat, but music is subjective and enjoyment will vary for each individual.
The opening is a heavy hitting post-hardcore synth track reminiscent to bands like Pierce The Veil, The Fall of Troy and Sleeping with Sirens, if those bands were to ever went all "T-Pain" on us that is.. It's a "teen angst x 100" kind of song that won't register with everyone and like the EDM OST it's a selective taste.
The sound effects also deserve due mention especially when parasites morph or move around. It adds to the overall creep factor the show is going for, sounding almost like a pliable substance. like playing with silly potty or deflating a balloon. It's hard to pinpoint the sound exactly but it was certainly unique.
All in all the show was unapologetic about it's sound selection and made a bold move in an industry where j-pop and j-rock is enough to get you by. It may not be up to snuff with people that don't care for the genre but it shouldn't be discredited because of that. It added variety to the monotonous OSTs that's become accustomed and expected from the anime industry.

Characters: 7/10

The cast was a mixbag. On one hand a few characters were wonderfully handled, showed layered characterization to their personality, had flaws that made them relatable and easy to sympathize with but on the other we had characters that teeter on the border of 2 dimensional to straight up incompetency. You know it's bad when Migi, a unempathetic hand, showed better characterization than that of some of the side characters. But that isn't to say it bombed in this department as the few focused characters help to carry the show. Watching Shinichi slow metamorphosis and development as a person was well handled and engaging. When the death of a character happened or a traumatizing event occurred they aren't simply used for shock factor but are used to further influence and add dimension to his character. May that be a loss that triggers a lack of empathy or one that helps him rekindle it. Where some of the characters lapsed in proper portrayal it made up with their interactions among themselves, most notably that of Shinichi and Migi and also the relationship he had with the show's main love interest Satomi Murano.
Shinichi and Migi's relationship can be seen as the bridge between both species. They stand in the crossfire and both adapt and grow accustomed to each other, and because they were the focal point of the story seeing their interaction and endearing partnership was always welcomed.
The relationship between Shinichi and Satomi was very organic. No "omg a boob touched my shoulder" blush bullshit, but teenagers acting in mannerisms that anyone growing up can relate to. The back and forth between them can become tedious at times but to be fair given the circumstances they're involved in it's quite acceptable. The show's primary focus was never romance, but what we got outclass some romance titles that only get to 1st base for a finale.
Another noteworthy character was Ryouko Tamiya but I'll keep details about her involvement to a minimum. She was a parasite that helped to further explore some of the show's themes and provided better insight into the turmoil. There was a certain nuance in the way she was portrayed and definitely a memorable addition.

While some characters fell short and others could of been cut out, the cast as a whole were fine and served their purpose.

Enjoyment: 9/10

Parsyste was one of those titles that kept me hooked from beginning to end. It was action packed, had nice tension, great character dynamics and always left me wanting more. It made for great binge watching material and certainly delivered in the entertainment department.

Overall: 8/10

While many anime titles have tried this type of setup before, Parasyte helped to set the benchmark for others to follow. It balanced it's themes well while still being entertaining. It's a show that had a few missteps that was easily overshadowed by everything else it had going for it. This isn't to say the title would appeal to everyone but it's certainly worth a watch.

Anime Talk & Review : shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso / 四月は君の嘘 / Your Lie in April

My Thursdays won't be the same after finishing this anime. Shigatsu has taken me to a world of music that I will never forget. Even though the story isn't anything new, the way it was written and directed make it feel like one. It is a story that revolves around music and how it connects people and how it affects them. It does not only affect them in a good way, but in a bad way too. And with that premise, a beautiful story about teenagers started.

Although there were some characters that didn't get a proper development to know and understand their own problems, motivations, and dreams, they didn't feel empty and meaningless. They all had a purpose and most of them where helpful to our main characters. They didn't feel cliché neither, even when we got some of them like the childhood friend and the dandy best-friend. And the best part, at least to me, is that there was no fan-service.

I didn't get to see a flaw in the animation in the 22 episodes aired. The palette of colours used, especially the blue ones, were gorgeous, while the performance moments were dynamic and realistic. Not to mention the opening and ending sequences, which are to date some of my favourites of all time.

Add to this a beautiful ost and amazing songs for the openings and endings and you'll feel in heaven. The opening songs were upbeat and represented a good tonal contrast to the story, while the ending songs complemented it, especially the second one, which can make you cry (if you were not crying already) after the emotional final episodes.

Overall, this anime has been one of the bests I've ever seen. It hooked me since the first teaser, and never let me go until the last episode. It is not a hard story, so everyone can enjoy it as much as I did. With loveable and relatable characters with deep stories, a gorgeous animation and an amazing score, I'm pretty sure that this is one of the best anime from the past few years, and the best (TO ME) of this season. I can recommend this show to anyone who want to watch and experience a good, heart-warming romance anime.

By the end of the series, I was just left in awe, and honestly a bit (extremely) emotional. To compare, the 'feels' in this series (my opinion) surpasses the highly praised Clannad: After Story for one simple reason. I was just slightly more attached to the relationship our main characters shared than I was with Clannad. But the story is not about tragedy. It's about inspiration, passion, moving forward, family, friendship, helping each other (many more). It is about life and how hard it can be to carry on, but you still gotta do it. You still gotta live your life to your fullest.

Anime Talk & Review : Haikyuu !! / ハイキュー!!

Hello there this is my first installation of Anime talk and Review and also this is how my passions of Anime as well . So keep reading it till you love it Haha. Well this review goes for the whole series. It has no spoilers for any important plot points. A warning: it is a bit long, but only because I went into deep detail for the sake of the reader.

Haikyuu!! is a sports anime centered around the volleyball team of Karasuno High. Once champions, they are now called “The Flightless Crows” - but not anymore. With the new additions of the first years, most notably Hinata, who decided to become a volleyball player after seeing “The Little Giant” from Karasuno on T.V when he was young, and Kageyama, who has been playing volleyball seriously since middle school, the team is back on the rise.

Even if you don’t like volleyball or haven’t the slightest clue of how it works, like me, you can end up liking and enjoying this anime to the fullest. It’s not just about volleyball - it is hilarious at times, suspenseful and action-packed at others, and shows the importance of teamwork. The last part sounds cliché or cheesy, I know, but it’s true. You follow the characters as they go from hating each other and not getting along too well to developing strong tactics and a unique playing style - because they learned to work together. The two main characters, Hinata and Kageyama, started off as “sworn enemies” due to their past, albeit brief, meetings and conflicting personalities - then end up on the same team and become a near inseparable, unstoppable duo.

The matches are intense, - the kind of intense that would make you stop and immerse yourself in it if you happened to be idly channel surfing. You feel the characters’ emotions, passion for the sport, and everything that’s at stake for them - you form an emotional connection with them. The comedy mixed in during the matches to lighten the mood and slice through the tension is definitely appreciated as well.

Just watching the first episode will surely prompt you to continue. Honestly, I almost skipped out on this anime - I needed a lot of convincing from a friend, since this became my first sports anime. If you’re anything like me, you might think “What’s so good about watching some random guys playing volleyball? It’s just like watching a sport on TV..” and have all your expectations shattered from the get-go.

The progression is comfortable - familiar. You get introduced to the main characters, the basics of the game, volleyball, are explained very well through the characters themselves, and Karasuno faces stronger and stronger opponents each time as the show goes on. Though, Haikyuu is different, too. It has a strong focus on character development and interaction, showcasing Hinata and Kageyama’s playful bickering and conversation, keeping the show light and fluffy when it’s needed. Team interaction is placed above all else, which seems like a different way to approach this genre - and it’s portrayed stunningly well, too - as shown by the quote I chose at the start of the review.

Pacing is pretty well done. Obviously, they’re high school students, so it can’t just be match after match after match. There are breaks in between to develop the characters and add on to the main plot, and to stay realistic to the fact that they are high school students. (One of the genres is School, just a reminder.) I’ve heard multiple people complain that the start of this season (second season) was “too boring” - since it includes the characters doing regular high-schooler things (studying, examinations) - but just think about it. In no school would they allow the members of a sports team to continuously fail tests just to play matches. These “regular high-schooler things” are actually very strong contributors to the character development. It shows that they care that much about volleyball to dedicate this time to studying so they can continue to play and not fail their tests. It’s not boring or unwanted, either. Really, if this anime was just a bunch of volleyball matches it wouldn’t be an anime. As I stated before, it really would turn into you just watching another sport on TV. All in all, the pacing for each episode and the anime is a whole is pretty on point.

The characters are, for the most part, realistic as well. They each have their strengths and weaknesses - some of the team isn’t very smart, but are highly capable in volleyball, and the opposite goes for some of the other members, etc. Even in volleyball, each player has things they excel at and others.. not so much. In addition to that, Hinata’s and Kageyama’s best attack eventually gets beat down by their even higher skilled rivals, which in turn, pushed their team to improve. Each character has a unique personality - I never really found myself thinking that two or more characters were too alike. For example, Hinata is energetic and friendly, Kageyama is arrogant and unsociable, Sugawara is kind and supportive. The exception was that Hinata, Nishinoya, and Tanaka all seemed to have the same base personality, energetic/enthusiastic - the fine details are definitely different, though. Likewise, the supporting characters and opponents were all fleshed out nearly as well as the main cast.

The characters all undergo major change and develop their personalities - they learn from their experiences as the show goes on. They’re not your average 2D cast, as I’ve elaborated on earlier.

The animation and art is superb!!!. Production IG does an amazing job here - like with every other sports anime they’ve taken on - most notably “Daiya no Ace” or “Kuroko no Basuke”. Their high-quality animation makes moving picture look awesome and insanely beautiful at the same time. They have magnificent skill with animation and a large range of genres and experience under their belts. The art style is unique - take note of the eyes - and very appealing. Production IG’s astounding visual narration pulls you in effortlessly. The backgrounds are beautiful and add to the overall quality of the art.

The OST is just breathtaking - it fits each scene almost perfectly and really helps immerse you into the show, like it’s supposed to. In most animes, the OST goes unnoticed by me, but not for Haikyuu. They did everything right here.
Each character’s voice actor portrayed their character extremely well. The OP’s and ED’s really fit and depict the theme of the series, getting you hyped up.

Overall, this is a highly enjoyable anime. Even though the story isn’t completely original, I honestly had fun watching it - and hopefully you will, too. Haikyuu!! is not something I’m going to easily forget - the great animation and art, memorable cast, and awesome music all come together to create this wonderful show that almost anyone would enjoy. You’ll learn a bit of volleyball as well, so that’s a plus.

I boarded my commuter train with all of five minutes to spare, so I knew my prospects for getting a seat were slim. That didn't bother me too much since the vestibule was mostly empty—there was a man standing at the other door silently rocking out to whatever was playing on his headphones, so I took my place at the other door. (Having to stand in a crowded vestibule is much worse than having to stand at all.) A few other harried passengers slipped past me to try their luck with a seat, and I went about initiating my train-riding ritual, which basically entails detangling my headphones and making sure my ticket is within easy reach for when the collector arrives.
It was just about then that a man about my age burst into the vestibule waving a few dollars in his fist. He looked frantic. I had my headphones on, but it was clear he was looking for money to purchase a ticket. I couldn't help him And my vestibule companion either couldn't or wouldn't help he glanced at him and went back to staring out the window at the dark wall next to the train. Clearly frustrated, the man seeking assistance swore at us, shook his head, and swooped into the next car to try his luck.

I don't know if he got the money he was looking for that night, but it did make me wonder how it is we choose to help those in need. I didn't have cash on me, but if I had been truly moved to help, I could have gotten off the train and purchased a ticket for him. But that would have meant I'd have missed the train. And how did I know he really needed the money for a ticket anyway? How do we weigh the costs of helping?

Prosocial behavior—voluntary actions that contribute to the well-being of others—is not unique to human beings. Helping, sharing, donating, and cooperating have been found in many social species, including insects, birds, bats, cetaceans, small mammals, and primates . However, humans may be unique in the magnitude of help offered, displaying a tendency to routinely help others even at great cost to self. It's possible that altruistic tendencies may have developed to help kin or to provide reciprocal aid to those who might later provide assistance (i.e., "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours") . In the former case, helping the people who share your genes means you're also helping preserve those shared genes. In the latter, both parties stand to benefit even though there is no genetic impetus for lending assistance because you share resources as members of the same network.

While this might paint a rather jaded picture of altruism .we only help others when there's something in it for us? providing assistance is a nuanced decision. Helping someone in need doesn't necessarily result in an instant repayment—these actions are banked and balanced in time if the network is a stable one. Primatologist Frans de Waal suggests that while altruism may have originally developed for specific evolutionary purposes (e.g., to protect and further one's genetic line), over time motivation has been disconnected from evolutionary goals , which is meant to serve reproduction, but honestly, is reproduction what we're thinking of when we're trying to inspire an amorous encounter?

When it comes to helping someone, very often we don't often consciously weigh the potential pay-offs. If someone slips, for example, we might immediately reach a hand to steady them. Or we'll hold the door open for someone with their hands full. If someone is hurt, we ask what happened so we can offer comfort appropriately. We offer assistance because we're able to recognize a need in others:
"In humans, the most commonly assumed motivation behind altruism is empathy. We identify with another in need, pain, or distress, which induces emotional arousal that may translate into sympathy and helping

Our ability to recognize this need is likely strongest when it comes to people within our network whose social signals and cues we've become adept at reading. And that's important because asking for help isn't always easy—there are costs.

The higher the cost of assistance to the helper, the greater the debt incurred by the help seeker. And in addition to issues of social debt, there are additional concerns about asking for help:
If help is needed on a difficult task, it may be attributed to an external factor, task difficulty; while if help is needed on as easy task, it may be attributed to an internal factor, individual inadequacies. Help needed on a difficult task may then lead to less loss of esteem than help needed on an easy task, and help seeking should be more common on difficult tasks than easy tasks

These social judgments regarding frequency of requests and task difficulty could alter perceptions about the help seeker, which makes being able to offset these debts is important. And this perhaps is one of the reasons why obtaining help from within your social network is easier than from a stranger—there are fewer opportunities to balance the debt with a stranger, with whom there is no history or likely future encounter. There is less certainty that a stranger will help if the costs are high, and this knowledge might generate anxiety about having to ask for help.

That doesn't mean a stranger won't offer or agree to assistance, however. As someone who isn't entirely sure on her feet all the time, I've been on the receiving end of aid on a number of occasions from strangers who have tried to break my fall. Sociologists believe that a sense of responsibility may be an important in directing assistance, particularly in emergency situations when the parties involved may not necessarily have a relationship:
"One of the crucial steps preceding helping that is guided by feelings of moral obligation is that the potential helper feel some sense of responsibility to relieve the need of the victim"

In as much as a person can help, if they are made to feel that they are responsible for the event in some way, they'll provide assistance. However, if the person seeking help absolves onlookers by blaming himself or attributing the incident to chance, he reduces the sense of responsibility onlookers might feel and reduces the chances of receiving assistance.

Strangers are in the unique position of citing an inability to help without facing social repercussions that is, they don't necessarily have to prove they can't help someone, while people closer to that individual might have to provide a reason for withholding help or they'll face public criticism within their network. So if the cost is high, and the sense of responsibility is low, with a stranger there is less chance of offered or acquired help. Or help may be offered in a limited way. In the case of the man looking for money for a train ticket, giving him a dollar or two could have been a means of offering assistance without committing wholly to helping him. It is easier to turn to the wall, however, and not consider balancing these cost although the question then becomes what happens if you're the one in need of help and you're beyond the comfortable boundary of your network?

Syamsid Journey : From Malaysia To Japan : Episode 4 ( Tokyo - Shibuya Sta - Tokyo Dome - Tsichiura )

now now.. i managed to update the fourth edition of my journey’s entry to japan in the shortest time period. yeay!! i can’t promise regular or fast updates but i’ll try to be faster next other times. alrite.. from harajuku i went to the next destination which is well known all over the world. where is the place? you’ll know very shortly. so, here is the station in which i could not recall what it is.. sorry ^^

you can guarantee trains arrive as per scheduled. so, set your watch as per the exact time and catch the train even you have to run.. the trains arrive and leave on the dot ^^

then.. we got off the train and walked. the night sky was full of clouds and the clouds are illuminated by the city lights.

we walked and walked and we still have yet arrived to the destination. pls bear with me folks.. we’ll arrive in more or less 20,000 steps ^^

walking around the town can be relaxing as well. seeing the pace of the town.. the lights.. the people.. the smell.. the air.

do you have any suspicion now that i was kinda lost? hahaha.. been walking too far now. anyways, this is the train platform that is parallel in heights to the pedestrian bridge i was walking on.. (see.. it’s normal to queue)

the temperature at night dropped down to around 11 – 14 degrees and the wind would freeze you easily. with the sky full of clouds, it should suggest that it’s colder? i dunno.. but it was cold during the time this pic was taken by the way.

alrighty.. some on-going roadworks as you can see in this pic. but i must tell you that the roadworks in japan is done very effectively in japan. it is done timely so that it would not cause any inconvenience to the entire folks.

well, i hope you could take some time enjoying the whole walking i did. see the surroundings during autumn night in tokyo ^^. ah, for info, police in japanese is known as keisatsu (けいさつ)

ok, we have finally arrived to shibuya crossings! thank you for your patience walking with me hehehe. as you can see, shibuya crossing is full of people! the shibuya crossing is the busiest in the world. and i got the chance to cross the world’s busiest crossing! cool!!

are you ready to cross? you can see there are hundreds of people from the other side of the road waiting to cross. all four corners are full of people waiting for the lights turn green (for pedestrian to cross)

oh yeah!! i’m crossing it now! wooohooo! there are many folks taking pics while crossing so i wasn’t feeling awkward to snap pics ^^ (see that 109 building, h&m and uniqlo? those are some of the must visit place)

shibuya crossing has five crossings altogether. four the usual crossings that go straight to the other side of the road and one diagonal crossing.. some sort of going across to the further opposite side of the road.

arriving on the other side of the road. shibuya is a shopping heaven for both men and ladies. the fashion is up to date and i managed to explore some of the stores.. lucky!

this alley will change your wallets/purse condition from healthy to sick ^^ well.. not only just this alley.. the entire four squares of the crossings are shopping heavens for those who come over to shibuya. if you are not into shopping, seeing the buzz around is also will make you feel excited..!

it’s time to bid farewell to shibuya. the sounds and lights are too much to absorb. i wanted to stay longer but there are other places to go to as well.

The clock is not broken.. it was nearly 6pm but it’s already pitch black like 8pm outside..

japanese are pros at exiting/entering the train station. the queue is sometimes long but you would find that they all got through pretty fast..

welcome to tokyo dome city. it’s a place where shopping, entertainment and leisure comes in a package. there’s a theme park as well.. and the well known tokyo dome that held out concerts, games and matches such like baseball, american footbal and even wrestlings.

here’s tokyo dome. all lit up with lights. the ferris wheel in the background also has roller coaster ride going through the ferris wheel’s belly ^^

this couple was deciding what to eat from the food samples just outside the restaurants. all eating places in japan provide samples for customers to look at before making decisions. the samples are like real and looks yummy!

this is love tunnel made for couples in love. walking side by side holding hands and giggling at cute words.. but some others just use it just because the love tunnel is a shortcut to get back to the entrance ^^

heading back to tsuchiura. kind of tired walking but it was all fun-walk ^^

it was late but we decided to have some hot drinks. i enjoy drinking this hot chocolate very much. in that kind of weather (cold), it just fits!

then i ordered this set which costs 550yen. tasted yummy!

the first sunlight at 6am (local time) and 5am malaysian time. a new day just about to start.. see you in the next entry ^^

it was a lovely morning ,. the sky was blue. the sky was clear blue. the air was cool. the wind was blowing gently. the slightest hint of cold breeze can be felt running gently in the air. clouds were stretched out and they have all lost their usual form - might be the wind. it was a lovely drive in the late evening. it was lovely indeed. heavy rain the last two days have washed away the lazy hazy days. clear blue sky.

i have been shying away from blogging of late. i have pictures and stories to show and tell, but i could not find myself the room to transfer these materials into this blog. for the past months have been very beautiful for me. i have lost track of time. i have found the feelings that i have long forgotten. these past few weeks have also been excruciating for me. i was flooded with thoughts and more thoughts. constantly thinking and mulling over things. trying to decide and make decisions. trying not to hurt and be hurt. trying to find the real meaning of truth. i've read this somewhere in the internet from a friend : "better to hurt with the truth, but never try to comfort with lies". truthfully (and this may not be the real truth..hehehe), truth and lies are like double-edged sword. either way they hurt. it's only the matter how the truth and lies are handled and how brave/coward you are in handling those two aspects in this little branches of life. no matter how, you can always expect to be wounded ^^,

but life is not about getting wounded and wounding others. life is bittersweet. it's bitter but yet very sweet. for the words' worth, i end this entry with - oh life, please treat me good! ^^ . Ameen ya rabbal alamin
