ایک مقولہ ہی نہیں بلکہ زندگی گزارنے کا بہترین اصول ہے ، اگر آپ کسی کے مال ، زر ، دولت ، ثروت ، عزت دیکھ کر کُڑھتے ہیں اور اُس کرودھ کا اظہار غیر موجودگی میں کرتے ہیں تو آپ ایک ایسے مرض میں مبتلا ہیں جِس سے نقصان آپکا اپنا ہی ہے... اگر کسی کی برابری نہیں کر سکتے تو دعا دیجیے کیا معلوم دینے والا آپکے دل کی صدا سن کے آپکو بھی نواز دے مگر "نیت والمراد" ہوتی ہے حسد میں جلتا بندہ ہو یا پھر آگ میں جلتی لکڑی بھسم ہی ہو کر رہتی ہے ‎#خیال

Loyalty - A noun widely used but never understood

What is loyalty? Probably one of the most sought-after trait or value in one's partner.

But I don't think we as a society understand the true meaning of it at all.

We want it, we desire it, yet we do not know much about it.

What we actually seek is the enslavement of another person in name of loyalty.

Be loyal to me, do not indulge in any polygamous relationship, So effectively what we're saying is that since the dawn of time mankind has not had any loyalty whatsoever.

Being loyal to a person has a personal definition, what we desire and seek by loyalty is total submission of that person.

We desire total control over their thought process, over their mind, we want them to act as per our wish.

In a way totally erasing their identity, a submission on the level that your beloved is effectively a puppet dancing to your whims.

This is why such a definition of loyalty is nothing but a farce.

The peak of loyalty is being true to a relationship, being open & expressive of your desires as well as fears.

Loyalty isn't suppression or devotion but loyalty is actually liberation. One who is loyal to his homeland will seek nothing but the welfare of his homeland even if that means strong criticism of the people who govern it.

Loyalty isn't about being monogamous or having one partner, that is just the social construct of society today which may change tomorrow.

One who is loyal in a relationship, won't hide or suppress but will be expressive. He/she won't shy away behind the curtains of the self-construed morality of the society but instead will share the most radical of thoughts.

There won't be any drape between two lovers when a relationship is built on loyalty.

An act of suppressing your primate instincts or thoughts cannot be labeled as loyalty but loyalty is something that will set you free.

It's like a cold breeze on a sandy beach not a stuffy afternoon in a prison cell and if being loyal makes you feel like you're actually being held back or locked up in chains.

Then call it what you may but that is anything but loyalty.

Much of what loyalty is actually open to debate & interpretation but I think we all can agree that loyalty is not a burden but it's the removal of it

It's not baggage but it's actually enlightenment.

It's fair to say that you can easily make it the whole core benchmark of your moral value or even the measure of morality.

But doesn't loyalty thus mean unmasking one's true self? being absolute bare in front of people.

After all, how can you be loyal if/when masked?

پانچ وقت نماز بیشک مومن کی معراج ہے مگر دین کیساتھ دنیا کے اسباب اختیار کرنا بھی اُتنا ہی لازم ہے جتنا رب پر ایمان رکھنا..اگر ایسا نہ ہوتا تو سرورِ کونین کبھی غزوات کیلیے اپنے ساتھیوں سے مدد نہ لیتے بلکہ دعا کرتے اور سب کافر غارت ہو جاتے ہے..
ربِ کائنات لاغر ، کمزور اور جاہل مومن کیساتھ نہیں
بلکہ ربِ کائنات عاقل ، محقق کافر کو پھل سے نوازتا ہے
مسلمانوں اب فرشتے مدد کو نہیں اتریں گے

وہ کہتے تھے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم آپ بیشک صادق ہیں ، راست گو اور ہمیں معلوم ہے کہ آپ جو کہہ رہے ہیں وہ حرف بہ حرف حق ہے مگر ہم آپکے سچ کو تسلیم کیسے کر لیں
ہم اس تقلید کا کیا کریں جو ہمارے آباء کی ہے ، ہم اس سب کو رد نہیں کر سکتے ہے

یہی سب سے آسان کام ہے
تحقیق نہ کرنا سب سے آسان کام ہے
اپنے جھوٹ کیساتھ زندہ رہنا سب سے آسان کام ہے

یہی کام ہم سب کہیں نہ کہیں کیے جا رہے ہیں اور کئی باتوں ، امور پر صرف اس وجہ سے قائم ہیں کہ وہ ہمارے آباء کا طریقہ تھا

یہ جانتے ہوئے بھی کہ وہ غلط ہے
خدا ہم سب کو حق شناس بننے اور حق کو حق جان کر اُسکو تسلیم کرنے اوت ڈٹے رہنے کا حوصلہ اور ہمت دے

مجھے ہزارہ قوم کی لاشیں دیکھ کر بھی رونا آتا ہے اور شام میں انسانیت کو پامال ہوتے دیکھ کر بھی رنج ہوتا ہے

مجھے یمن میں سعودی حکومت کے عتاب کا نشانہ بنتے یمنی بچوں کا بھی درد محسوس ہوتا ہے

‏اور اب میں ہندوستان میں کرونا کی وبا میں مبتلا ہندووں کی کسمپرسی اور اموات دیکھ کر بھی شدید رنجیدہ ہوا

شمشان گھاٹ شاید اتنے کربناک کبھی نہیں دکھے ہوں جتنے اب دِکھے

کیا میری مسلمانیت ہندووں کی ایسی اموات دیکھ کر رنجیدہ ہونے پر قائم رہی ہو گی؟

معلوم نہیں , مگر ‏ہمارا تو حاصلِ زندگی ہی احساس ہے

کئی جید علماء کرونا کے آغاز میں یہ دعا مانگ رہے تھے کہ

"اے اللہ مشرکین کی طرف اس کا رُخ موڑ دے اور اُن کا بیڑہ غرق فرما"

مگر رب کی "کُن" کو بھی شاید کچھ اور منظور تھا

‏خادم رضوی مرحوم نے تو یہ تک فرمایا کہ چین پر مسلمانوں کے اوپر مظالم کیوجہ سے یہ عزاب ہے اور اِن کا خانہ خراب ہو گا

پھر یہ ہوا کہ یہ وبا اسرائیل کے یہودیوں کا تو کچھ نہیں بگاڑ سکی البتہ یورپی لادینیوں کو تہ و تیغ کر ڈالا

‏اے تمام جہانوں کے پالنے والے رب

اے رحمت اللعالمین کے رب

مجھے معاف فرمانا کہ مجھ سے کسی بھی

Naseem Hijazi to Ertugrul - Saga of Imported saviours

As a Pakistani nation, we suffer from a severe identity crisis, We don't own our people but love to hear the stories of saviours invading subcontinent to bless us with Islam

We love carving out new idols, every few yrs or so from Muhammad bin Qasim, Yousaf bin Tashfin to General's pet called Zorro and now Ertugrul Gazi. we've definitely come far.

Don't get me wrong, I've watched all the seasons of Ertugrul and thoroughly enjoyed the cinematography, story twists, characterization and it was kind of Halal-ish replacement to Game of Thrones.

But I watched as work of fiction which 'revolved' around a bit of history the way you'd watch any season on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

It's in so many ways so similar to work of fiction by well-known writer of Naseem Hijazi.

Naseem Hijazi was a Pakistani writer who really mastered the art of Historical fiction and it was sold to the masses as being gospel, I remember a relative recommended me his books during my teenage stating it's Islamic history.

In stock of my school Library, Naseem Hijazi was definitely the most read author during my teenage, You could never find any book in stock it to borrow.

Truth is much stranger than fiction itself but when you mix it up with a blend of religious spices, let it simmer on the heat of young blood top it up with some prophecies, then BOOM.

You have a mindless robot willing to blow himself up anywhere for the sake of a purpose that's larger than life.

This was what the majority of Hijazi's work was like - We all like to dwell in past and tell our kids stories about the time gone and every Nation does it. However Pakistani Hybrid regime definitely has mastered the art to some extent.

Muhammad Bin Qasim, Khaak Aur Khoon, Aakhri Maarka (The last battle of Somnath), Aur Talwar Toot Gayi were absolute masterpieces in the genre of "Historical fiction" for Urdu readers.

Much of Hijazi's work was dramatised in Pakistan and a whole generation was born with a mind-set that paved the way for socially awkward boys to fantasize about characters similar to "Halime Sultan" and wanting to wage jihad against evil forces of West.

It all fitted in very well with the backdrop of the Afghan-Soviet war, timing was crucial.

But as Pakistanis, we love living in new delusions and fantasies every now n then.

Also, it was well-timed too as many "5thiye" (5th Gen warfare Twitterati trolls) just recovering from Ehd-e-Wafaa now have their newfound love Ertugrul.

After airing of Ertugrul season, majority Pakistani believe that Erdogan is the reincarnation of Ertugrul and all it takes is a bit of Youtube search to see many videos of pseudo-anchors and media analysts turned historians talking about prophecies how Erdogan shall rise and 2023 is the year Turkey will take back control of Hijaz.

Whether its Mubashir Luqman, Sabir Shakir or official Mullah Maulana Tariq Jamil everyone is portraying launch of Ertugrul as Turk-Pak alliance of some sort which will bring back the glorious days of past.

They don't just stop there - there's been memes/videos in circulation comparing the dissenting intellectuals/community with negative characters of Ertugrul and calling for them to be beheaded in same fashion how Ertugrul handled the betrayal.

Literally free for all business, ranging from Ertugrul and antichrist being linked to Ghazwa Hind, Erdogan being Ertugrul of the time and Pak-Turk alliance (which is non-existent and recent fiasco of Imran Khan bending over backwards to fall into the lap of MBS) touching new horizons in 2023!

In a nutshell, I'm rather sad to see the Hybrid regime of Pakistan turning a Turkish historical fictional saga of Ertugrul into a full-blown propaganda indoctrination tool for which I can only thank #Selectors as surely Imran Khan Niazi or his team wouldn't have had half the brain to come up with such stunt.

A hero or not but I'm sure Ertugrul never dreamt that his character or legacy would be used by Pakistani regime to try and cover up the failures thousands of kilometres away from his homeland.

Let's see after Ehd-e-Wafa and Urdu dubbing of Ertugrul what new indoctrination/misdirection tool is deployed as Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa is back and with a vengeance.

6September - Day that reshaped Pakistan

6 September 1965 was the day which was the catalyst to fully turn Pakistan into a 'security state' instead of a social welfare state.

Pakistan lost all wars against India, but our fake patriotism demands us to celebrate the stupidity & irresponsibility of power-hungry Generals instead of holding them responsible for these

failures.

Operation Gibraltar was executed by Pakistani army to try and bring some traction to the Kashmir cause by infiltration in IOK and force India to the conference table without provoking general war.

Pakistani establishment wasn't prepared for the war, didn't anticipate Indian forces to cross the Wagah Border and start a full-blown war.

This miscalculation resulted in heavy fatalities near BRB Canal (Barki region) where Major Aziz Bhatti was martyred in fierce fighting against Indian army.

Operation Gibraltar due to two major assumptions Pakistani army made

1) Establishment based this Operation to be use the resentment element on the ground and turn it into a full-fledged armed revolt against India in Kashmir

2) Second assumption was that India will never risk starting all-out war.

Both assumptions made by Pakistani army proved to be wrong

Both assumptions were proven wrong when on #6September India attacked Pakistan across the international border without a warning or a declaration of war in retaliation of Operation Gibraltar.

This war further gave birth to in-house Mujahideen groups like Laskhar-e-Tayyaba & Jaish e Muhammad. It pretty much became part of Pakistan's covert foreign policy fully managed by establishment of the country till Musharraf rose to power and banned all these groups.

Operation Gibraltar was a failure and 6 September should have been the day to analyse & learn from our mistakes. Instead, it became the day our country became a hostage to military quarters, since 1965 war all our foreign policy decisions were taken by establishment of the country and civilian rulers were only used as a cover.

تبدیلی کا پہلا رمضان

میرے پیارے پاکستانیوں میں دل کی اتھاہ گہرائیوں سے آپکو ماہِ رمضان کی مبارکباد پیش کرتا ہوں

یہ ماہ انشاءاللہ ایک تاریخی رمضان ہو گا جس کا آغاز میں ہی کپتان نے سٹیٹ بینک کا گورنر آئی ایم ایف کا نمائندہ لگا دیا ھے

میں پورے وثوق کیساتھ یہ بات کہہ سکتا ہوں کہ اس رمضان تبدیلی کے ثمرات طفیلِ نیازی بہ دستِ باجوہ آپ پر ایسے گریں گے جیسے چور کو رنگے ہاتھوں پکڑا جانے پر "لِتّر" پڑتے ہیں

آپ پر تبدیلی کے فیوض و برکات ایسے وارد ہوں گے کہ آپ کی "خاموش چیخیں" نکلیں گی مگر آپ کسی کو زخم دکھانے یا حالتِ زار بتانے کے قابل نہ ہوں گے

! ہر شے کے نرخ بڑھیں گے اگر نہیں بڑھے گی تو وہ آپکی تنخواہ

مگر پاکستانیوں آپنے گھبرانا بالکل نہیں ھے

حالتِ روزہ میں ہونے کے باوجود آپکا دل کرے گا کہ آپ تبدیلی کے موجد اور تبدیلی کے پیروکاروں کو لعن طعن کریں

لیکن اگر آپکا تعلق واوڈا و مراد سعید والے طبقے سے ہو گا تو پھر تو آپ ڈھٹائی و بیحسی اور اندھے اعتقاد کے اُِس درجے پر فائض ہونگے

جہاں آپ کو کپتان کا فاضل مادہ بھی من و سلوی دِکھتا ھے

ایک طبقہ ایسا ھے جو کھپتان کے ڈھلتے بڑھاپے سے اتنا متاثر ھے کہ اُنکو اور کسی شے سے سروکار ہی نہیں اور ہر سوال کا ایک ہی جواب ہوتا ھے کہ ہمارا کپتان کتنا ہینڈسم ھے

ایک طبقہ ایسا بھی ھے ، جو پٹرول کی قیمت بڑھنے ، بجلی و گیس کے نرخوں میں اضافے ، پھل و کھجور کے نرخ میں اضافے ، اناج ، چاول کی ذخیرہ اندوزی اور کپتان کے پیچش کا ذمہ دار بھی نوازشریف کو ٹھہرائے گا

مختصراً اِس رمضان میں تبدیلی کی برکات پاکستانیوں پر ایسے گریں گی کہ سنبھالنا مشکل ہو جائے گا اور چوتھے عشرے تک تبدیلی کے اثرات چہروں پر واضع نمایا ہوں گے..

آخر میں رب سے دعا ہے کہ ہماری ناقص عبادات , دکھاوے کے صدقات اور حسد سے بھری مسکراہٹوں کو اپنی بارگاہ میں قبول کرے

Ali Raza Abidi and our empathetic disconnect

I remember writing similar post when Begum Kulsoom Nawaz passed away.

Her death exposed our constant decline of society and our empathetic disconnect with the people around us.

I genuinely hoped that this divide of hate and act of mocking deaths would not repeat but i was so wrong.

It happened again when Ali Raza Abidi ex-MNA was murdered in the city of lights right at the doorstep of his house. Most sane people, parties, celebrities condemned and sent their condolences over this act of savagery but there was one faction that did not condemn but instead praised his demise.

What kind of mental state one has to be in to enjoy or to say that murder of an harmless,soft spoken politician who was never seen abusing or mistreating even his opponents. A soft spoken guy who belonged to MQM and worked for the amelioration of the society he was part of.

This certain party or his follower not only mocked the death of a harmless lady Begum Kulsoom Nawaz but behaved in same notorious fashion over death of Ali Raza Abidi. It seems like it's becoming a norm in Pakistan, gone are the days where you respect and don't say anything bad about departed soul.

I have seen comments on Facebook posts accompanied with scores of tweets hurling abuse towards departed soul of Ali Raza Abidi and there was only one thing common amongst all such hateful comment.

The aim of this blog post is not to degrade someone but more towards understanding the psyche of PTI followers.

The need to have a foundation or logic to any disagreement is not the necessity anymore but it seems like anyone who is disliked by Kaptaan is Traitor and should just rot in hell.

Maybe i'm too much of a softie to believe that we should not celebrate death. Doesn't matter whose it is, Period.
I belong to a culture where our ancestors believed that

"Dushman maray te khushi na karyeSajna v Mar jana"

But teachings of Kaptaan differ totally, these are teachings of disgust, hate , abuse as well as making allegations without any evidence and repeating your narrative constantly to the point
people start believing it.

As a society there is a constant disconnect of empathy and lack of humane feelings, the amount of killings we see on TV or hear about on daily basis it appears we have developed some kind of strange fetish where we enjoy the death, especially if it's of our rival.

Such societies only get further drawn into violence and the culture of healthy debates die eventually.

In the end all i'd like to say that I hope some day this country turns into a garden instead of a pricked barren desert where there is no room for dissent and anyone having different opinion to the one "approved" by the government is either labelled as traitor or Kaafir.

Live and let live please.May Allah bless all the departed souls with his eternal mercy .

Because if it was up to us only hell would be filled and heaven would be empty.

پچھلے کچھ دن سے کراچی حملے پر وائرل ہونے والی خبروں میں سے ایک خبر "خاتون ایس ایس پی سوہائے عزیز" کی

بہادری کی بھی تھی

جس پر حسبِ توفیق و عادت ہمارے معاشرے میں پائے جانے والے دو نہایت مختلف نظریے ابھر کر سامنے آئے

ایک وہ طبقہ جو آزاد خودمختار عورت کو دیکھ کر ویسے ہی برداشت نہیں کر سکتا اور جِن کے نزدیک ایک باروزگار

عورت خواہ وہ کسی بھی شعبے میں ہو "فاحشہ" و بدکردار ھے.. یا بیرونی طاقتوں کی آلہ کار ھے

ایک طبقہ وہ ھے جو کسی بھی عورت کی فرض شناسی یا معمولی قسم کے کام کو بھی ایسے پیش کرتا ھے جیسے وہ

عورت تمام خواتین کیلیے مشعلِ راہ ھے اور ہماری تمام خواتین کو اُس کی تقلید کرنی چاہئے

اِس متفرقانا سوچ کی بہترین مثال ملالہ یوسفزئی ہے

جس کے بارے میں بھی معاشرے میں دو ہی سوچیں پائی جاتی ہیں

ایک یہ کہ وہ ہماری بچیوں کیلیے بہادری کی بہترین مثال ہے اور دوسری یہ کہ وہ یہودیوں یا ہندؤوں کی آلہء کار ھے جس کی وجہ سے اسے برطانیہ میں قیام کرنے اور تعلیم حاصل کرنے کا موقع ملا اور اسلام دشمن قوتوں نے ملالہ کی سرپرستی کی

جبکہ میرے نزدیک ملالہ ہو یا سوہائے عزیز دونوں انسان ہیں اور دونوں نے وہی کیا جو وقت کی ضرورت تھا

ہمارا معاشرہ اِتنا گھٹن ذدہ اور تنگ نظری کا شکار ہو چکا ہے کہ ہر شے پر کسی نا کسی قسم کا "لیبل" لگانا ضروری

سمجھتا ہے

عورت یا مرد کی تفریق سے باہر نکل کر سوچنا تو جیسے ممکن ہی نہیں

ہمارے معاشرے کا المیہ یہ ھے کہ یاں تو یہ عورت کو فاحشہ بنانے پر مجبور ھے یا پھر دوسرا نیو فیمینسٹ طبقہ عورت

کو دیوی بنانے میں مصروف ھے

عورت کو انسان سمجھنے اور انسانی برتاؤ رکھنے کے ترویج نہ کوئی دیتا اور نا ہی کوئی ایسی سوچ کو پروان چڑھنے دیتا ھے

شاید اُس کے وجہ ایک یہ بھی ھے کہ ہمارے معاشرے میں عورت کو ہمیشہ زیرِ عتاب ہی دیکھا گیا ھے ، کسی نہ کسی طرح اور جب یہ زیرِ عتاب عورت مرد کی قائم شدہ حدیں پھلانگ کر اپنے فیصلے خود کرنا چاھے تو

ہمارے مردوں کی "غیرتیں" خطرے میں پڑ جاتی ہیں

عورت کو مجبور کر دیا جاتا ھے کہ یا تو وہ تو پاؤں کی جوتی بنے یا پھر مرد کی چوٹی پر چڑھ کر ناچنے والی دیوی

درمیانہ مقام تو ہم مردوں کو قبول ہی نہیں!

Title of this post is what seems to be the unwritten law of Pakistan these days, Every sane voice shall be silenced, Every critic small or big is under threat and every upright, honest officer shall be eliminated

Recent killing of Superintendent Peshawar leaves a big question mark on so called "safe city" projects as well as the competency of administration.

This is nothing but simple case of we have two characters in law-enforcement forces and the fruit or reward you get for being a Rao Anwar or being Tahir Dawar.

Who is the winner?

Rao Anwar or Tahir Dawar,

Rao Anwar wins hands down - Yes. you be a uniformed goon and nobody will touch you, even the highest judge of the country will not only release you bail but unfreeze all your bank accounts and declare your house as Jail.

This is the privilege you have for being part of mafia while being in uniform.

You're the judge, jury and executioner and even if you end up being caught red handed nothing shall be done against you.On the other hand if you're honest, upright officer who protects the locals and takes on the terrorists then you shall be made example out of.

Even your own government will refuse to comment on your death and anyone asking questions or raising voice will have their noose tightened.

The affect it will have on the morale of law-enforcement forces as well as on mind of a layman on street can be nothing but negative and to make it worse we are actively discouraging the truth seekers.

Our Government however is totally mute on this issue as it's a very "sensitive issue". Indeed it's better for all Govt officials to stay muted as they will only worsen it by rubbing salt into wounds of relatives of Tahir Dawar.

Not so long ago we had a hashtag trending on twitter #chaudhryaslamkhan. An SSP killed in bomb attack who also was known to be a real tough cookie for the terrorists in Karachi.

But we are a nation with short term memory, we are hardly done mourning the death of first one and another catastrophe strikes

So many deaths that all of these equate to nothing but statistics now, it's like we going numb.

In a nutshell, we are training our children not to be Tahir Dawar, or Chaudhry Aslam but to
be
Rao Anwar.

Khashoggi committed suicide - Story unfolds.

So khashoggi entered the consulate and started abusing Crown Prince MBS.

Consulate workers told him: "Sir we totally respect your freedom of speech but this is not NewYork"

Before they knew it, man (Khashoggi) rose up in the air like a Master Jedi and in split of a second he delivered a flying kick as if Bruce Lee reincarnated.

They witnessed Khashoggi trapping his one hand in a chain saw placed in the corner of the room which was left there by the gardener.

He kicks the chainsaw and traps his leg and hand too, as the consulate officials rush to set him free he starts the chainsaw while his body parts are stuck in there.

They begged him to stop and said that they will do as he say, but he starts bleeding and delivers punches, kicks into the chainsaw causing further cuts.

It was like Khashoggi VS Chainsaw.

Consulate officials asked him to have mercy on himself but he just wanted to fight with poor chainsaw and didn't listen to any help offered to him

After his hand and leg were fully trapped he decided to headbutt the chainsaw, there was blood everywhere.

Consulate workers panicked and in that panic decided to listen to music instead to calm himself, They didn't know what to do it was something so tragic that civilized Bedouins had never witnessed in their lifetime

"We are peace loving and harmonious people, sword on our flag is only used for cutting vegetables." Counsel told.

The Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman had nothing to do with his tragedy, instead he actually sent "A-TEAM" to help Khashoggi financially and give him gifts for his wedding the next day.

"Wallahi Habibi" he said as he broke into tears narrating this story to me.
To honour the struggle and fight of Khashoggi we have even redesigned our flag.

Sane Voices to be Muzzled in Pakistan

"To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize"

This is a quote that is applicable universally during any era or reign of any ruler.

Crack down against print media,electronic media in Pakistan started with judiciary putting a ban on Altaf Hussain's speeches/statements. Right or wrong, that is a different debate altogether.

That was first step towards a well planned and articulate crack down against voices of sanity in Pakistan

After Altaf Hussain we saw that judiciary put ban on reporting of speeches of Mian Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz. This "Muzzling of Electronic Media" before going into Elections 2018 was by no means an accident but a well planned action taken to later on achieve desired results by basically silencing head of the ruling Party and ensuring no coverage is given to them on media.

After these two incidents, it has all been downhill - Dawn Newspaper has been biggest victim so far in this onslaught of media and anchorpersons who don't necessarily bend to whim of Deep State.

Hameed Haroon appeared on Hard Talk with BBC with his reservations against the "media handling" of the Deep State especially after the Dawn Leaks Saga and how his Newspaper has not been allowed to be sold in specific part of country.

After that a treason case was filed against Dawn Group Journalist Cyril Almeida for a news piece which later on came to be known as "Dawn Leaks"

Almeida is a strong secular writer who happens to be one of very few non-Muslim writers in Pakistan. For now Almeida's column are missing and he has been sent on a "break" since treason case was lodged against him.

What would be his fate is yet to be seen but it seems that "handlers" have decided to control the media groups by putting financial strains on them by blocking the Ad campaigns Government hands out to them.

Media houses which employee anchorpersons that have hard opinion on Govt policies are not given any Ad campaigns or any kind of Govt contracts which makes substantial part of their income thus forcing the media houses to sack such anchorpersons.

Latest victim of this assault against media in Pakistan has been Matiullah Jan sacked by Waqt News TV. In a short 3 minute statement given to UrduVOA Matiullah said "After spending 6 years with Waqt News TV and Nawai-Waqt Newspaper I have been given marching orders".

He said on UrduVOA that Ads were stopped systematically for certain media groups targeting them for their opinions and criticism of establishment due to interference in politics.

Matiullah was known for being an upright, staunch News Reporter who was known to criticize the "Deep State" and was highlighted as "Anti-State" element during a presser by DG ISPR

On other hand it seems very coincidental that ex DG Radio Pakistan Murtaza Solangi also lost his job with Capital TV straight after he was involved in a spat with Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry.

We have one Journalist booked in treason case and two Journalists losing their livelihood mainly due to the strong opinion they have against involvement of establishment in political affairs.

Sadly silencing of the voices and opinons did not stop just at the Print or Broadcast Media but we have social media / twitter activists reporting threat calls made to them warning them to stop their activism on twitter.

We had case of Gul Bukhari missing for 40 hours, another case of an activist & writer AbuAleeha who was missing for many days, Activist Aadi Roy allegedly received threat calls.

All of these activists have one thing in common which is that they all seem to criticize the involvement of establishment in Political affairs.

You know that days ahead are dark and bleak when veteran Journalists like Muhammad Hanif are comparing current crack down to a dictator's era and is of an opinion that the constraints and silencing of Journalists was not this bad even in Zia's era.

بڑا گروپ:- جو سمجھتے تھے کہ خان سائیکل پر وزیر اعظم ہاؤس جایا کرے گا

دوسرا:- جِن کو یقین تھا کہ خان خود کشی کر لے گا قرضہ بلکل نہیں لے گا

کئی اور گروپ

ایک گُروپ سمجھ رہا تھا کہ سو ارب ڈالر دنیا کے منہ پر مارے گا اور باقی سو ارب ڈالر یوتھیوں پر خرچ کرے گا۔

ایک اور گروپ تھا جو سمجھتا تھا کہ خان کی ایک کال پر بیرون ملک پاکستانی اربوں کھربوں ڈالر پاکستان بھیج دیں گے

ایک گروپ وہ بھی ہے جو آج بھی کہتا ہے کہ خان کو وقت دو ایک روپے کے دو سو ڈالر ملا کریں گے.

ایک گروپ وہ بھی تھا جو سمجھتا تھا کہ خان نے پہلے ہی اتنی شہرت اور دولت دیکھی ہے کہ اسے وزارت عظمی کا کوئی لالچ نہیں اور نہ ہی وہ کسی کے نیچے لگ کے رہے گا۔

ایک بہت بڑا گروپ بھی ہے جو سمجھتا تھا نیک نیتی(اصل میں وہ بھی نہیں تھی) کے سامنے قابلیت کوئی اہمیت نہیں رکھتی ۔۔

ایک وہ بھی تھا جو سوچتے تھے کہ خان پنجاب پولیس کوسیدھا کر دے گا-

ایک گروپ وہ بھی تھا جن کو یقین تھا کہ خان وہی کرے گا جو وہ کر رہا ہے۔

اور یہ یہی وہ گروپ ہے جسکو خان نے مایوس نہیں کیا-

اور ایک گروپ اس امید میں ہے کہ یہ قوم عظیم قوم بنے گی-

یہ سارے بغلول وہ تھے جو ہمیشہ کسی محمد بن قاسم کے انتظار میں رہتے ھیں اور سمجھتے ہیں کہ اِن کے مسائل کوئی فردِ واحد ہی حل کر سکتا ھے۔

Pakistan - Growing religious Intolerance & fascism

So I came across this picture which had gone viral on Social Media. It showed somewhere in Pakistan Doctor had labelled two same type of medicines for people based on their religions.

If you were a non-Muslim in Pakistan you couldn't get the medicine from bottle marked/labelled as Muslim and I started thinking, evaluating what us Muslims have been doing over past century or so.

Are we really Muhammadan?

Are we really following the true essence of Islam?

Islam which brought the message that A light skinned person is no better than a dark person, but it's his actions which make him better.

Well, Sadly that isn't the case.

Muslim, Islamic states are biggest fascist and racist states in the world.

One may ask how, let me explain. Anyone who has ever worked/lived in Middle Eastern / Arab countries will know how they treat immigrants.

1) No Middle Eastern / Arab country will EVER give you nationality or passport of their country, be it Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman or Qatar.

2) You cannot get passport of any countries mentioned above even if you're born there.

3) In a nutshell there's no process of Naturalization or obtaining Nationality of these countries.

We, so happily so casually criticise the West and make sweeping statements that West is racist.

Yet it's the West that allows Muslims to come to their countries,work, settle, bring families , practice their own religion even allow naturalization / Citizenship.

Now ask yourself a question, What are the chances of a Hindu being a Minister in Pakistan. Forget a Hindu being a Minister, you will get so much abuse as well as criticism for even remotely floating such idea.

We have gone so blind in our hate and religious beliefs that we even take away humane aspect out of ourselves.

Today, there is a group that even criticizes Muhammad Ali Jinnah for appointing a Hindu Jogendra Nath Mandal as Minister of Law & Labour who eventually was forced to emigrate back to India.

Jinnah's decision was to bring minorities and empower them to bring about a peaceful progressive Pakistan but Alas, that dream was in tartars from the very beginning when bureaucracy of country started to usurp power and the first step towards doing so was to question the patriotism of minorities.

Today same fascism has become a very rooted and stays at the heart of foundation of PTI .

I will try and list only few of many incidents which took place recently exposing fascist behavior of PTI

PTI activist attacked ex-PM of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif's house in Avenfield London.

PTI activist openly harassed Reham Khan ex wife of Imran Khan and her son trying to provoke him.

PTI has been part of a conspiracy to overthrow an elected Govt by causing lock-down in Islamabad Capital

As a party it was narrative of PTI that it's their legal right to protest and overthrow an elected Government.

It seems that now that PTI has formed the Govt such religious intolerance has only grown and fascist tactics have gone worse,

Firstly PTI failed miserably to show a spine against religious extremist and reversed the decision of appointment of Atif Mian as economic advisor simply due to his religious beliefs.

Lastly, PTI's Current Provincial Minister Fayyaz ul Hasan Chohan on his twitter profile stated "Adolf Hitler" as his favorite personality

I genuinely hope that now that PTI is in power it will re-analyse it's strategy and try to work together with it's allies as well as rivals for the future of Pakistan

If strategy of PTI leaders and supporters does not sun the policy of fascism will only create further alienation and extreme polarization in society resulting in further intolerance , blind hate which is not something we can afford at any cost.

The concept of ridiculing your opponents,name calling them, making accusations without any proofs and eventually convenient use of religion card is sending the country further deep into abyss of hate and intolerance.

ایسا لیڈر کہاں اس قوم کو نصیب ہوا بھلا جِس کے پاس پہننے کو صرف 4 سُوٹ , مجھے خلیفہ سوئم حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ یاد کی سادگی یاد آگئی..

وہ لیڈر جو کوئی بھی رات وزیراعظم ہاؤس میں گزارنے کی بجائے روزانہ اپنے چھوٹے سے مکان میں واپس لوٹ جائے؟

واقعی! قدر کرو پاکستانیوں! تمھہیں رب نے کیا نوازا ھے..

تمہیں معلوم ہی نہیں!

آخر میں صرف اِتنا کہوں گا کہ پاکستان کو چس لیڈر کی ضرورت تھی وہ بشری بی بی کی بشارت اور رب کے کرم سے پاکستان کو مل گیا ہے، تبدیلی فوراً نہیں آنی مگر اگر آپ سب کا بشریٰ بی بی کی باتوں پر ایمان ھے اور کردار و گفتار کے غازی ، مسٹر نیازی کی قیادت پر یقین ھے تو وہ دن دور نہیں جب پاکستان اسلام کا ناقابلِ تسخیر قلعہ ہو گا.

Authorities in China have been known for persecuting on massive scale in a clinical method against the country's Muslim minority while it invests heavily in CPEC Pakistan.

OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries) is fast asleep and yet to make any statements with regards to such news but U.N Panel confronts China over reports that its holding over a Million Uighurs in concentration camps.

News like China is force feeding Muslims to drink alcohol and eat Pork in concentration Camps are coming out fast but there is no condemnation of any such news

It's shocking how anyone keeping a beard,praying,fasting in China's Northwestern region Xinjiang is being treated as a person suffering from some kind of mental illness and being detained by authorities to be taken to camps where they are forced to consume alcohol and eat pork

If they refuse to partake in such activities they are subject to solitary confinement and physical violence.

Enemy of state

They are held without charges and are considered to be "Enemy of the State" pretty much like forced disappearances happening in Pakistan.

No legal representation is allowed, No charges are brought against them as their silent persecution continues.

Long-Live CPEC

While Pakistan's new government seeks to review the CPEC , It badly fails to address the issue of persecution of Muslims at the hands of Chinese authorities. The so called Islamic state which is the only Nuclear Muslim state in the world fails to even mention the reports of incidents, let alone calling the foreign office representative of China to register a protest or concern.

While Khadim Rizvi was very keen to take it to streets against Geert Wilders , Surely force feeding Muslims pork would warrant much greater response?

Imagine the uproar on streets of Pakistan by Khadim Rizvi if any such petition to put Muslims in separate camps was even discussed by Netherlands's far right Leader Geert Wilders.

There would be mass protests across the whole Islamic Republic of Pakistan which will highly likely result in either a sit-in protest in front of the Dutch embassy if not the burning down of it.

Whether it's illegal inhumane persecution of Muslims in China, Saudi bombing of Yemen or even Genocide of Rohingya Muslims.

We somehow end up supporting the oppressor

We are always on the wrong side of history, Selling JF-17 to Myanmar & then condemning them killing Rohingyas

We are not only silent but party to the aggression and oppression of people for the sake of dollars.

کیا نبی ﷺ کے پاس غیب کا علم ھے یا تھا ؟

اس سوال کا جوب دیکھنے کیلیے پہلے سمجھنا یہ ضروری ھے کہ غیب کیا ھے؟

جنات غیب ہیں ، فرشتے غیب ہیں ، انبیاء جو گزر گئے ، صحیفے اور الہامی کتابیں جو ناِزل ہوئی تمام غیب ہیں ، بالائے قائنات غائب ھے

یہانتک کہ سب سے بڑا غیب و غیبی قوت میرا اللہ ھے‫..

اللہ کے ہونے کی واحد شہادت ، واحد ذریعہ ، میرے عقیدے کی بنیاد محمد ﷺ کی ذاتِ اقدس ھے

وہ ذات جس نے خود غیب کو دیکھا اگر میں اُسکے ہی "علم" پر سوالیہ نشان ڈال دوں تو میرا اپنا ایمان جس بنیاد پر کھڑا ھے وہ بنیاد نیست و نابود ہو جاتی ھے

میں جب تک اپنے علم کو نبی جے علم سے ادنا نہ جانوں میں نبی کو نبی مان ہی نہیں سکتا‫

نبی کو ماننے کا پہلا اسلوب قرینہ یہ ھے کہ

نبی افضل ھے میں ادنا ہوں

نبی مکمل ھے میں ناقص ہوں

وہ نبی ﷺ جو وجودِ کائنات کے معاملوت سے لیکر قیامت تک کے منظر کی نشاندہی کرے اور یہ بھی بتا دے کہ قیامت بپا کہاں ہو گی میدان کونسا ہو گا

اس نبیکے علم اور میرے علم میں کوئی فرق نہیں ؟

یہ سوچنا ہی جہالت ھے

ختم الانبیاء بھی ہو اور علم محدود ہو؟

تمام تخلیقات سے افضل ہو اور علم میں مجھ جیسا ہو؟

محبوب رب العالمين ہو اور فکری علمی طور پر اپنے امتیوں جیسا پو؟

یہ سوچ ہی غافل ھے ، باطل ھے ، جہل ھے!

خدا اور رسول کے شناسائی کیلئے دین کی سمجھ تو شاید پھر واجبی ھے

جو شے ضروری ھے وہ اخلاص و محبت کی ھے‫..

جس کی بڑی پیاری منظر کشی اقبال مرحوم نے کی

"ادب پہلا قرینہ ہے محبت کے قرینوں میں"

اللہ ہم سب کے دلوں میں رسول ﷺ کی محبت پیدا کرے نہ کہ یہ سوچ کہ میرا نبی میرے جیسا تھا ، اگر وہ مجھ جیسا تھا تو نبی کیسے تھا؟

اللہ ہم سب کو اپنے غرورِ ذات سے نکل کر نبی ﷺ کو ماننے کی توفیق دے !

Kulsoom Nawaz - A Punjabi Iron lady!

Begum Kulsoom Nawaz's death has once again highlighted one the ugliest face of our society, the fact we have lost all moral , humane code of conduct and do not even let go of any occasion to slander our opponent even if it involves launching barrage of abuse for a woman who died fighting cancer.

The little that i remember of her from my childhood is pretty much shown in the picture above, She rose to the challenge of steering her party while her husband and rest of family were imprisoned by the dictator Parvez Musharraf.

I remember her visiting my "Mamu" Pir Binyamin Rizvi at the time he was put under house-arrest by Musharraf's regime, A very soft spoken yet an Iron Lady who was strong critic of Musharraf and gave her tough time by reorganizing the party under her leadership.

She was a truly motherly figure and a homemaker who now had to do the job of her husband while he was behind bars and was later on sent in exile.

Uncertain of the outcome of trial and allegations leveled against his husband she gathered what was left of PML(N) at the time while Chaudhrys of Gujrat jumped the ship.

But at no point she was seen hurling abuse or letting go of the grace even when the dictator was potentially preparing to hang the ex-PM (her husband)

I don't know why but whenever I saw her all it reminds me of a typical mother , a wife who was very protective of her family and kept it together till her demise.

Least she deserved was a "changed" send-off maybe? Least we could do is respect the dead. Our moral code is long dead as society that we have to stoop to the level of not sparing someone even after they die and continue with our hate speech.

As tickers went across the Pakistani TV channels we covered our ugly faces with masks and came on the telly to give our condolences to the family yet there were some of us continuing pouring out the filth of our minds and showing the kind of upbringing we had.

Social media was filled with PTI's followers/activists calling her names i would not even dread anyone calling, let alone dead.

As if doubting her illness was not bad of an act we went even lower , setting new standards of bigotry, hate and prejudices.

Biggest casualty of social media trends of Pakistan is always the decency.
The lack of educated dialogue is shocking or should i say it was shocking initially but now i pretty much can predict what event is going to bring about what kind of "hashtag".

A nation who idolizes pseudo self righteous clowns like Hamza Ali Abbasi and Amir Liaquat really has no hope.

A very bad precedent has been set by our celebrities / prominent leaders mainly calling themselves as torch bearers of a "Change".

It seems as though we have forgotten that death is something all of us have to experience and surely none of us would want such social media campaign to be launched against our dead ones.

Least we can do is let them grieve in peace, this is very least one deserves as human being.
