ASTIER DE VILLATTE & 'LES COCOTTES'

Dois-je préciser que j'adore sa couverture d'inspiration Vasarely ?
Mon carnet Astier de Villatte est en 'work-in progress'.
J'ai commencé à y inscrire mes adresses parisiennes fétiches (restaurants, boutiques, librairies, épiceries fines, galeries d'art etc...) classées par arrondissement.

La dernière en date : restaurant 'Les cocottes' de Christian Constant au 135 rue Saint-Dominique 75007 Paris (même rue que la brasserie Thoumieux au n° 79). De petits plats traditionnels revisités par ce chef étoilé du Violon d'ingres et servis dans les fameuses cocottes, qui font penser aux Le creuset de nos grand-mères. Délicieux (et abordable), je me languis d'y retourner!

My notebook from Astier de Villatte is a 'work in progress'.
I've just started to compile on it all of my favourite parisian addresses (restaurants, boutiques, bookshops, fine deli's, art galleries etc...) filed by arrondissement.

My latest addition : restaurant 'Les cocottes' by Christian Constant on 135 rue Saint-Dominique 75007 Paris (same street than Brasserie Thoumieux, on number 79). Typical French traditional dishes revisited by star chef from Violon d'ingres and served in the notorious cocottes, reminescent of our grand-mother's Le creuset ones. Really delicious (and affordable), i can't wait to go back!

Par ce temps hivernal, je me suis procurée de délicieuses infusions verveine Les 2 marmottes.

J'ai trouvé cette jolie boîte en soldes chez Colette. C'est une édition spéciale avec des illustrations de Pierre Le-Tan.

To fight the cold, I just bought some delicious verbena infusions by Les 2 marmottes.

I found this beautiful box at Colette's sale. It is a special edition with illustrations by Pierre Le-Tan.

Je suis tombé dernièrement sur ces sacs Kelly (commandes spéciales).

Ils étaient en devanture d'une galerie de collectionneurs dans une rue piétonne de Rome.

J'adore les cuirs exotiques de Hermès, ces deux variantes lézard et autruche sont juste incroyables.

I recently came across these Kelly handbags (special orders).

They were on the window display of a gallery in a pedestrian street in Rome.

I really love Hermès' exotic leathers, these ostrich and lezard versions are simply stunning.

I'm feeling quite holistic over the week-end. Reading L'Officiel last issue, I got caught by Tatiana Santo Domingo and Dana Alikani's smart selections via Muzungu sisters. Really like the Peruvian bolero (1), Sicilian basket (2) and Moroccan kaftan (3) hand-picked around the globe by the two adventurous ladies. Feels like a holiday somewhere in the sun!

I'm wearing a vintage pullover-dress, 100% wool, that I bought in high-school in the South of France.
I am so happy I kept it over the years as it is now a solid piece of my winter wardrobe.
I always thought it has some alpine-cool factor and makes you feel like an ice-skating girl coming to the city.
That's probably the reason i'm wearing my Swedish lace-up 'ice-skating styled' booties from Dinsko.
The white shirt is from Carven.

It's been raining today in Paris and couldn't catch a bus home, so ended up walking along Boulevard Malesherbes.

I'm glad I decided to wear my navy blue raincoat by Carven.

It is so special, practical and dear to me. I love its waterproof toile hoody.

I still get surprised by its clever detailing, detachable rivets, secret pockets and impeccable tailoring.

I'm wearing bordeaux Zara tights, handbag by Carven (last winter), block mocassins by Carven x Robert Clergerie.

MAVALA TOP-COAT

I am so pleased I listened to my friend Chris and got this genious top-coat from Swiss brand Mavala at Sephora the other day. It has definitely enhanced the self-manucure I have at the moment (see previous post) finishing it with that immaculate extra-glow, as beauty-pros like to call it.

By the way, I used a burgundy nail polish from Bourgeois. I have it for ages, since I don't know about you, but personally I fail to finish any of my nail polishes. That's something I really want to change, so as a start I've stocked all of them in my fridge top-shelf. That's supposed to better preserve them and hopefully will make me want to use them more. Happy manicure everyone!

Sooo here are my favourite pieces from Versace x h&m collection.

SKIRTS
a) I just happen to have a weakness for knee lenght skirts, and since these happen to be in silk, it means they are cute little Hermès cousines skirts, so easy to get why i need them.
b) these beauties get extra points because they come with pleats.
c) their iconic digital print completely wins my heart. Seriously what would we all be without a good visual old print to boost our outfits from time to time?!

Also, I do need these neon pink heels ... honestly the colour doesn't do justice in this picture as they look quite bitchy piggy pink, but i trust the main online add that they look proper NEON pink in real = I have to get them, like now. Counting down before 17th november :!!
