K-Rally UIQv3

K Rally is a top-down 3D racing game where you and several opponents have to race around a variety of tracks. You can play dirty if you want, in fact the scoring system encourages it, by ramming your car into the rear or sides of your competitors or even by firing rockets and laying mines. (Incidentally the violence is very cartoony, cars which receive a direct hit from your weapons are accompanied by speech bubbles full of censored swearwords and carry on driving after getting back on the track.)

The core gameplay is good, it's really easy to get into but has long-term challenges to give it some depth. K-Rally is an arcade racer than a realistic one, but it does have consistent physics and it's satisfying when you get into a good rhythm that lets you take corners without overshooting them. (Some people may feel that K-Rally lacks overall speed due to its top-down perspective, but that's to do with the genre itself rather than the quality of this game.) The weapons side of things makes K-Rally all the more enjoyable, although they only really work if you're near the person you're firing at. This isn't Super Mario Kart and you can't win a race if you fall too far behind.

The graphics are lovely and clearly make use of the Symbian hardware. Although the gameplay is 2D, the whole game takes place in a detailed and smooth 3D world full of tall trees and pillars of rock, with clouds and birds that float past the camera, and lighting including shadows and headlights. The skins which determine the graphics are separate from the tracks, so you might race several times on the same track and it could look completely different each time. Skins also sometimes add new features such as ice or rain, which can affect your driving ability. K-Rally has relatively complex graphics, but you can set it to run at seven different levels of detail if you feel it's too slow on your particular Symbian model. The game supports full-screen mode both vertically and horizontally, although the options menu screens are vertical only and appear with black sidebars on horizontal phones.

The sound is nice, with an Amiga-esque funky main theme tune and in-game frantic techno tracks. The sound effects are crisp and generally what you'd expect from a racing game.

The menus are polished and professional, with sharp comic-book artwork representing the characters in the game and a profile system that lets you run up to four separate characters with their own careers and unlockable avatars. There are extensive options but the structure of the menus is logical and intuitive, so you only have a minimum of clicks to do the things you want to do most often.

The controls are simple enough to work on almost any phone keypad layout: left and right steer, up launches rockets, down lays mines, 4 accelerates (you let go of it to slow down) and 7 uses turbo boosts (or accelerates if there aren't any turbos left). If you're unhappy with any of this you can set your own controls, and you can also set the controls for the menus too. There's options to set the car to automatically accelerate and/or turbo boost, with the actual accelerate button acting as a brake in this mode.

Pdf+ (for UIQ 3.x Smartphones) can display a large number of PDF 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.5 files. Pdf+ silently ignores some unimplemented features and non-conforming PDF files, it will complain about other unimplemented features and non-conforming PDF files. Pdf+ is designed especially for Smartphones and Communicators. As these devices are still less powerful than desktop computers, some less-often used PDF constructs are not available.
Pdf+ can display text in almost any language, in particular when the font used has been embedded. Otherwise, Pdf+ will use the installed fonts to display text. This will only succeed when a ToUnicode translation table has been embedded in the document and when the substituted font contain the used characters.
For Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Japanese documents using Type 0 fonts, you need to install the optional plug-ins during installation. Documents using Korean Type 0 fonts cannot be read at this time.
For non-Unicode encodings, if the ToUnicode translation table is available, the text can also be searched successfully.
Pdf+ can only display the complete Symbol and Zapf Dingbats fonts if you have the appropriate font files installed on your device. The built-in fonts only contain some Symbol characters, and none of the Zapf Dingbat characters.
Pdf+ doesn't handle the dynamic content of a PDF file, and it cannot render Type 3 fonts.

* Location notifications - allows turning on or off the notification about location switch event;
* Resist exit requests - if this option is turned on, the operating system will not automatically close Best GSMNavigator due to lack of memory or any other reason when it might try to;

Each location has the following properties:

* Name - assigned location name, e.g. 'Home', 'Work', 'Cinema' etc;
* Cells list - each physical location can be served by one ore more GSM cells, therefore you can add all cells present in your physical location to the Location configured in our software. A specific cell can be assigned to one location only. For more advanced configuration of cells list you can use the following commands from Options menu:
o Add cells - find cells in this location and add those cells to it;
o Train location for... - search for cells in this location for a specified period of time and choose to add the cells found;
o Add cells from log - allows adding cells from GSM cell log
o Edit assigned cells - opens the list of assigned cells for further operations;
o Remove cells - find cells in this location and remove those cells from cells list;
* Actions on enter, Actions on exit - allows specifying actions upon entering and leaving a location. List of available actions:
o Alarm - plays a selected sound;
o Send SMS, E-Mail - allows sending predefined messages to predefined recipients;
o Switch wallpaper, theme - allows assigning a predefined image as wallpaper or switching to another theme in your smartphone;
o Backlight state - allows setting the backlight state to On, Off or On if charging;
o Start or close application - allows customizing a list of applications to be started or closed upon entering or leaving a location;
o Switch timezone - allows automatically switching the timezone, useful if you travel a lot between locations in different time zones;

This useful view allows collecting GSM cells information. To activate it, select "Enable log" command from menu (you can disable it later when all your locations are already defined). Recorded cells can be assigned to your defined locations or removed from those locations. Each cell can be renamed to hold a human readable label (e.g. 'Home1','Home2' etc), which can later be removed via Options menu.
