Afghan Biscuits

2012-12-31T13:49:00.000+08:00

As promised, here's the recipe which is adapted from my one and only store bought recipe book. Art bought this book for me years ago. I've never been into buying books as;

1. I find that most recipe books are not practical, as in it doesn't work.
2. The Internet are full with recipes, you can get it free, so why not?

It's a Periplus book, titled "Biscuits, cookies & brownies". If memory served me right, we got it from Kinokuniya. However, this book it's different, I would highly recommend it especially to beginners and here's why:

End of the Year RamblingzZz...

2012-12-30T12:18:00.000+08:00

I've been meaning to write this post for sometime now but I've been busy with various stuffs...
Ana: eating, gaming, tv, ice cream, gaming, out, gaming and...erm..gaming?

Putting that aside, I want to share a great news; around 2 weeks ago, our FB fan page reached 500 likes! Yippee!

A big thank you to all fans who have been supporting us for the past 1 1/2 years. We appreciate all the kind words and encouragement that you've given to us

Ana: Will appreciate more if you start ordering..hohoho

Art: She's just kidding...

Ana: I mean it..no shame no shame!

Our journey has been full with ups and downs. There were bad times where we ended up quarrelling with each other, when I get all emo due to harsh comments etc.

Ana: Please keep the comments/feedbacks coming though, I'll just hug my pillow

But there were also good times such as when clients love and enjoy the goodies that they received, when we complete orders without any hiccups or simply by taking nice photos...

Here's a little heads up on our plans for the coming year. We will be revamping our products cake/cupcake/cookies; adding, removing and/or improving. These changes will be slow and gradual as next year will be a really busy year for us so please be patient with us.

Ana: Not gaming, personal stuff yo...

I will be sharing yet another recipe to celebrate our 500 likes, not from my mother's secret manual though. It will be adapted from my one and only store bought recipe book. I will try to finish the write up as fast as I can, hopefully before the end of the year...
- hey wait! Isn't that like tomorrow???

Once Upon A Theatre

2012-10-28T11:04:00.001+08:00

Few weeks ago we were approached to sponsor in an upcoming event held by The Youths of Darul Arqam (YODA). This wasn't the first time we received such requests but this is the first time we said "Yes" after much consideration. The reason being that the event is for educational purpose and not to mention it's non-profitable.

a Halloween dessert

2012-10-22T15:55:00.000+08:00

Warning: This post is not for the faint hearted

With Halloween just around the corner, my sister and I decided to try making something Halloween-ish. The usual cakes/cupcakes for this period will consist of the pumpkins, Casper-like-ghouls etc. So..we decided to do something out of the ordinary. Instead of cute and pretty ones, we chose something more extreme.....

Say Cheese! Pt. 1

2012-07-01T10:20:00.000+08:00

The fatigue that I felt from the brainstorming for my dad's & bro's birthday have not even subsided and I was already racking my brains on what to bake for my colleague's birthday. I didn't want to create another whole cake as it would be difficult to handle in public, so I decided it would be cupcakes (plus it's kinda the "in" thing now).

2011-08-14T20:06:00.005+08:00

In conjunction with Aidilfitri, I wish to share a great recipe which I found from my mother's secret manual. This recipe is ideal for the leftover egg whites, especially from all the lapis cakes that you've baked. So rather than throwing them, why not make another lapis!
