I recently discovered Dydrm and, I have to say, you don't often find a new store with so many wearable shirts! Seriously, I could wear just about everything in this site. Dydrm is an artist collective of about ten people and although each one has their personal artistic approach, none of the designs seems to be out of place. This is usually a problem that occurs when brands hire different artists to make designs that end up being completely unrelated to each other. But anyway, Dydrm uses eco friendly water based inks and hand-prints on Royal Apparel blanks. Like any good brand, Dydrm provides links to their artists pages showcasing their work. It looks like ChopShop has found a niche with designs like weRobot (now with glow in the dark ink!) or alienWe, and frankly, we love them. You wear one of those shirts and soon enough you find yourself surrounded by nerds trying to figure out all the figures! So, in the same spirit, comes this next Chop Shop release, weScare, which features (well you guessed it) monsters (!), fifty-eight to be exact and from various genres. Splatter Mecha from Full Metal

I've been following the Full Metal releases for quite some time now, and I have to say, I really like their stuff. The design that caught my eye recently is this Splatter Mecha, witch is the winner of the recent May 2009 contest with theme... Robots! The design features a mecha figure filled with a colorful splatter. According to the designer, Anssi Uimonen (aka QMTK!), "the fill is actually from a canvas painting with dried, spraypainted leaves from a nearby forest from the creators backyard."

Summer 2009 Line from Artefacture

The new Summer 2009 line from Artefacture is here to please you all, typography and geometry freaks. This time, Artefacture introduces colorful t-shirts made from 100% organic standard Indian cotton (t-shirt made in USA). Personally, I was pretty happy with the 100% Fine Jersey cotton that they used to print on before, but if they say it's better, I have no reason to argue. May I just say that I'm a big fan of Artefucture? An Artefacture shirt never goes unnoticed because of the simplicity and balance of the designs. The new shirts will cost you a good $32 bucks, while you can always check out the older stuff that go for $24.

Oh well, I couldn't resist posting this shirt, although I would really wanna see it on real print, not a mockup, and worn by a model. The design recreates the iconic "Zipper Jacket" that MJ wore on "Beat It" video. It features silver foil inlays that imitate real metal.

Just checked out the new designs over at Dying Decade and I'm impressed. Although the three new designs are a bit "busier" than what we were used to, I love the humorous mood and the use of multiple colors. Desert Rage and Dogfight are definitely my top picks.

Starved T-shirt by Akumu Ink

I'm afraid I'm running out of thing to say about Akumu Ink t-shirts. One after the other these guys deliver totally wearable shirts! This time it's about starved bats attacking their prey. The red color print works exactly how it's supposed to work with the black shirt underlining that the subject of this scene, even though we don't see any, it's always the blood. Thus it immediately gets a spot in my favorite bloody shirts collection. I've said many many times how much I love Akumu Ink and I'll say it one more time, these guys make eye-catching shirts and you'll never go unnoticed wearing one of them.

Slow Posting

So in a few hours I'm gonna be flying over the Atlantic going to Europe for the summer! For three months I'll be spending my hot lazy summer days under the sun of Greece and any other place that might come around. Of course I'll always have my laptop with me and try to keep up with posting but there might be days or even weeks that there will be no posting. I promise I'll do my best.... BigFluff T-shirts

I know about these folks for a while now but being lazy as I am I haven't featured them yet. Looking at BigFluff t-shirts, two things come in mind: color and placement. Like any t-shirt brand that respects itself, they have an interesting puppeteer design, a beautiful blue octopus , and a panda design. Of course, I wouldn't mind wearing this statue of Liberty shirt either! And now the bad news, for poor American residents, like myself, these goodies will cost £30 which currently translates to ~$48 ~~plus shipping I guess~~. So yeah, they are kind of expensive... On the other hand though, these shirts are sweatshop-free, fairly traded, and hand printed in London with water-based inks. So...

Squishi is one of my favorite places for odd but cute creatures themed t-shirts and has just come out with a new collection. The new line consists of five new designs, some funny, some cute, some plain weird.
