2. Covad – Covad/MegaPath Reach Agreement with Speakeasy.

3. MegaPath – MegaPath announces new Integrated access discount – the base price of a T1 Connection for 4 lines and below is $279 but per the new promotion the base price is $249 for 5 lines and above, regardless of the handoff.

4. One Communications – One Communications now requires a local bill copy dated earlier than 60 days with all orders. Only exceptions to this are existing customer adding new locations/new services, or client’s that have been in business less than 1 year.

5. PowerNet Global – PowerNet Global has expanded their footprint and lowered their pricing on DIA, Ethernet, Private Line, and MPLS circuits.

6. Telnes – Telnes has recently expanded their Ethernet Service footprint through XO.

Clear 4g now in Washington DC

Clear launches 4g WiMax Internet service in the Washington DC area. 2 years after initial launch plans clear has begun offering 4g wireless inside the beltway.

Customers can now sign up and receive a 50 dollar credit. Service plans start at 40$ a month for basic service and goes up from there. This launch comes days after clearwire started offering 4g service in the Baltimore area.

Clear has announced that it’s 4g wireless service is now available in BALTIMORE.

According to the press release dated June 1st, “CLEAR now covers 725 square miles and approximately 1.7 million people in the Baltimore metro area.”

I will not lie, I currently have cable Internet and not DSL or Verizon Fios.

The reason why? I decided to go with the triple play package from Time Warner to save money. If I really wanted to save money I would go with magic jack which is ridiculously cheap and maybe cable for TV service and I guess Internet as well.

My wireless Internet is fantastic, I use a Linksys router which is the wrt 300n and has worked flawlessly for over 3 years. It is much faster and reliable than my old netgear wireless router.
