But the flight you take will fly over these clouds operating at 25000 feet. Thus, the spectacular Himalayas will not be hidden from you even during the monsoon.

The Everest Experience Flight is the awe-inspiring Mt. Everest you can ever hope to see in your lifetime. Do not miss it! As you'll find yourself saying, " I did not climb Mt. Everest but I touched it with my heart".

This is the most Spectacular Mountain Flight ever flown. On this flight we exhibit the closet possible aerial views of Mt.

This is a Sunset Mountain Flight. This flight was introduced just recently i.e. from 28 January 1998. No flight has ever been scheduled in the history of aviation in Nepal before this. The view on this flight is UNIQUE to say the least. The natural colors of the setting sun reflected on the snowy peaks is a sight full of raw emotions and at the same time, one of the most calming and serenely beautiful sights on Earth, enough to last a lifetime.

The Langtang valley is aptly called “Valley of Glaciers”, because it is surrounded by gigantic Himalayas that rise towards the sky. Agreeably, the short and easy Langtang Valley Trek is one of the most popular trekking trails in the Langtang Region.

The Langtang Valley trekking starts in the lower Langtang Valley, and takes hikers through several forests, villages and farmlands that are owned by people of Tibetan origin. Once an important trading route with Tibet, the Tibetan influence still reflects in the the villages and people of this region.

Langtang valley trekking is medium categories neither easy nor hard. You can trek in this region September to May. Langtang valley is really great destination for trekkers because of, culturally and naturally beauty and vast historical for religious. You can dive from Kathmandu to either Dhunche or Syabru benshi by local bus. It would be by private four wheels drive. There are two point to start this trek. One is from Dhunche and another from Syabru benshi. If you start from Dhunche, you need to follow the road about one and half hour then turn to right for trekking trail at Bharkhu where little local tea shop as well. And drive to Syabru benshi is quarter hour further than Dhunche and next day start trekking with following up Langtang River. You can start and end at two of those trek starting point. You can start this trip from Dhunche then end at Syabru benshi or alternatively as yours tame frame.
The region north of Kathmandu offers a multitude of trekking destinations, all accessiblewithout flights. The three major areas are Langtang, Gosainkund and Helambu, which can be combined in many different ways to make treks from seven to 16 days long. Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just south of the Tibetan border. It is sandwiched between the main Himalayan range to the north and a slightly lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246 metres) dominates the valley to the north; Gang Chhenpo (6388 metres) and Naya Kangri (5846 metres) lie to the south; and Dorje Lakpa (6966 metres) protects the east end of the valley. The area was designated Nepal's first Himalayan national park in 1971.

This high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet than to the traditions of their cousins in the Middle Hills. A visit to the Langtang Valley offers an opportunity to explore villages, to climb small peaks and to visit glaciers at a comfortably low elevation. According to legend, a lama following a runaway yak discovered the valley. Hence the name - lang is Tibetan for "yak" and teng (more correctly dhang) means "to follow". Yaks still live in the valley, but they now share it with trekkers who make a seven to 11-day round trip from Kathmandu. Because there are good opportunities for moderate climbing excursions here, you should allow a few extra days for exploration of the extensive glacier system.

You can vary the trek to Langtang by returning to Kathmandu via the holy lakes of Gosainkund at 4300 metres, or you can make a short trek from Dhunche to Gosainkund. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit the lakes during a full moon festival in August. The lake is also sacred to Buddhists.

Helambu, about 75 km north of Kathmandu, is an area inhabited by Sherpas. You can include Helambu in a Langtang trek, either via Gosainkund or across the 5106-metre Ganja La. In winter, both of the high routes from Langtang are usually snow- covered and dangerous, difficult or impossible. The Helambu trek is popular because it is short, stays below 3500 metres and is feasible all winter. It is an easy trek to organise because transport from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, the starting point of the trek, is readily available and inexpensive.

The language, culture and dress of the Helambu Sherpas are very different from the Solu Khumbu Sherpas. The accessibility of Helambu has created an influx of tourists who have encouraged begging, the sale of "genuine antiques" aged over the family fireplace, and several incidents of thievery. It takes eight days to trek from Kathmandu to Helambu and back, or 12 to 14 days to include both Langtang and Helambu in a single trek without any backtracking.
Jugal Himal
To the north-east of Kathmandu lies a chain of peaks called Jugal Himal, which includes Dorje Lakpa (6966 metres), Madiya (6257 metres) and Phurbi Chhyachu (6637 metres). The trek starts from the large bazaar of Chautaara (1410 metres), descends to the Balephi Khola, then follows a ridge to Bhairav Kund, a holy lake at 3500 metres. The route then makes a circuit around the head of the Balephi Khola Valley to Panch Pokhari ("five lakes") at 3600 metres. From Panch Pokhari, the trail leads to Tarke Gyang in Helambu, then back to Kathmandu. This is a remote and unfrequented region, despite its proximity to Kathmandu. Treks in this area involve a lot of climbing on narrow trails. There are few villages and no hotels on this route and water is very scarce on the ridge.
This idea is bringing visitors to Nepal for trekking tours, but instead of walking, the trekkers travel by mountain bike. This way, tourists cover three- to four-times as much territory than can be covered by walking.
There are tours available for every level of cyclist. However, it does take a sense of adventure. Many of the rides involve hairpin turns while traveling downhill. Other tours take the cyclist through remote villages, green rice fields, and sacred sites.

Renting Versus Bringing Your Own Bike
Renting bicycles is relatively inexpensive, usually a few dollars per day. There are bike rental companies in both Kathmandu and Pokhara. It would be good to search for reputable bike rentals before leaving on the trip. Riding a rental is never as good as riding a your own bike, especially on rigorous treks, but it may be less hassle than transporting a bike from home.

Visitors can bring a bike with them into Nepal. At customs, it should be explained that the bike is personal property of a tourist and will be shipped out of the country when the trip is over. Realize that it can be very expensive to send the bicycle to Asia, and there is no guarantee that the bike will arrive intact.

There are multi-day tours and day trips available. Perhaps the most exciting mountain bike trek is the 21-day ride from Lhasa, Tibet to Kathmandu, Nepal. This ride travels through the Himalayan Mountain passes. It includes a stop at a base camp on Mount Everest?s North Face. The highlight of the ride, though, is the longest downhill bike ride in the world, the type that makes extreme sports look tame. As the rider enters Nepal, he will descend 12,000 feet.

The trip from Pokhara to Kathmandu is a 14-day off-road ride. This ride is in the foothills of the Himalayas. It follows remote territories rarely seen by Westerners. The ride includes plenty of ascents and descents in the mountains.

For those who like biking, but are not prepared for a rugged trip, there are plenty of day trips in Kathmandu Valley. Some of the bike rental shops will provide a shuttle to the top of the valley?s rim so the entire day can be spent on the downhill ride, with plenty of time left for exploring. There are routes that take the rider through forests and past waterfalls and through villages.

Situated in the lap of Himalayas, Nepal has been renowned for centuries as a pristine place for religion, peace and salvation. Nepal has been enjoying the honor of being the place of penance and spiritual gratification for sages, saints and rishis for the time immemorial. It is the place where centuries old temples of several Hindu gods and goddesses, sitting on the banks of holy rivers: Bagmati, Koshi and Gandaki, continue to attract devotees from far and wide; where many tributaries of holy Ganga originate from snow-capped Himalayas flowing down to Indian plains; where bountiful Nature shelters sages meditating at the foot hills of Luminous mountains or by side of tranquil holy waters; where the apostle of peace Lord Buddha, was born 2,500 years ago; where puranas (Hindu Holy Scriptures) praise each of the hundreds of temples and monasteries spread across the country; and where diversity thrives in harmony.

As religion is a source of civilization and culture in every society and country, its importance is always on the rise. It is well known that Nepal harbors four major Hindu religious sites: Mukti Kshetra, Pashupat Kshetra, Barah Kshetra and Baidyanath Kshetra and the holiest Buddhist site: Lumbini. In addition to that, Nepal is a place where various ethnic groups with different religious practices live in perfect harmony. The aura and glory of Nepal have been enhanced especially because of the temple of Lord Pashupatinath and the birthplace of the Lord Buddha (“The Light of Asia”), Lumbini. A large number of tourists from different parts of the world especially South Asia and South East Asia visit Nepal every year as pilgrims .Thus, pilgrimage tourism has been growing as a prominent tourism sector in recent times.

Religion and Nature are complementary entities and Nepal offers uniquely varied experiences to the tourists with her rich natural and cultural resources. Mountains, rivers, forests, flora and fauna and different festivals and cultural practices have astonishing importance in both touristic purposes: pilgrimage and entertainment /adventures.

Thus, Nepal has a unique and unrivalled glory because of the wide spectrum of values and experiences ranging from religious, ethnic, linguistic, cultural diversity to soft and hard adventures. All flavors and have an experience of a life time in the Himalayan land.

Nepal contains part of the Himalaya, the highest mountain range in the world. Eight of the fourteen eight-thousanders are located in the country, either in whole or shared across a border with Tibet or India. These awe-inspiring, majestic mountains of Nepal attract the tourists from far and wide. Adventure activities like mountaineering, trekking and hiking can be enjoyed in this mountain range. Journey on these mountains transcends one to an entirely different world.

Below are the lists of World’s 8 Highest Mountain/Peak in Nepal

Mt Everest

Mt Everest is the highest mountain in the world measuring 8,848m (29,028feet) in height. It was first climbed on May 29, 1953 by a New Zealander Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay of Nepal .Mount Everest is also known by the Tibetan name Chomolangma (goddess mother of the snows), and by the Nepali name Sagarmatha (Mother of the Universe).

Everest had been attempted many times before the important expeditions being that of 1922, 1923 and 1924. The body of George H.L. Mallory, who died in an earlier attempt (1924), was discovered on the mountain in 1999.More than 600 climbers from 20 countries have climbed the summit by various routes from both north and south. Climbers’ ages have ranged from nineteen years to sixty. Climbing on Everest is very strictly regulated by both the Nepalese and Chinese governments. Climbing Everest treks to Everest Base Camp are becoming increasingly popular on both the north and south sides of the mountain .On the north side, a Buddhist monastery is one of two whose locations were selected specifically to allow religious contemplation of the great peak. The other side is the Thyangboche Monastery in Nepal. The once active Rangbuk monastery in Tibet has required much rejuvenation from the destruction it experienced following China’s invasion of Tibet.

Kanchenjunga
Kanchenjunga (8,586) is the third highest mountain in the world. From 1838 until 1839 was believed to be the highest .It is an enormous mountain –mass and many satellite peaks rise from its narrow icy ridges. It is located on the border of Nepal and Sikkim, just 46 miles northwest of Darjeeling .It is the most easterly of the great 8,000 meter peaks of the Himalaya.

Though not successfully climbed until 1955, it was first attempted in 1905, but four members of that international party were killed in an avalanche. As inspiring as Kanchenjunga’s beauty is at least the first three parties to ascend the mountain never attempted the final few feet to the summit our of voluntary respect or those who considered the summit sacred. The successful British expedition of 1955 set the standard by stopping a few feet short of the actual summit, in honor of the local religion.
Lhotse

Lhotse (8,516) is the fourth highest mountain in the world. Its long east-west crest is located immediately south of Mount Everest and the summits of the two mountains are connected by the South Col, a vertical ridge that never drops below 8,000 meters. Lhotse is sometimes mistakenly identified as the south peak of the Everest massif. No serious afternoon was turned to climbing Lhotse until after Everest had finally been ascended. Lhotse was first climbed in 1956 by two Swiss, fritz Luchsinger and Ernest Reiss.

In addition to the main summit, there are two subsidiary peaks, Lhotse Shar, which is immediately east of the main summit, and Nuptse, a high peak on the mountain’s west ridge.
Makalu
Makalu (8,463) is the fifth highest mountain in the world. It is an isolated peak, located just 14 miles east of Mount Everest. Its size alone is impressive, but its structure, that of a perfect pyramid with four sharp ridges, make this mountain all the more spectacular.

It has proved to be a challenging climb, as only five of its first sixteen attempts were successful. Previously, it had been admired and studied by several Everest parties, but like so many other giants in Khumbu region, it was not attempted until the summit of Everest had been attained in 1954.A French group first climbed Makalu in year 1955.

Chomo Lonzo(25,650 ft) is a subsidiary peak of Makalu, rising just north of the higher summit, separated by a narrow saddle.
Cho Oyu

Cho Oyu (8,201) is the sixth highest mountain in the world, located a short distance to the west from Everest and Lhotse (the fourth highest) in the Khumbu region of Eastern Nepal along the Tibetan Border, its towering peak stands with Everest well above the surrounding mountains. It become a familiar landmark to climbers ascending Everest ‘s north face .Just west of Cho Oyu is the Nangpa La, a 19,000- foot glacier pass, and the main trade route between the Khumbu sherpas and Tibet. Cho Oyu’s proximity to the Nangpa la has earned it the distinction among some climbers as being the easiest 8,000 meter peak. it was the third such peak climbed, and the first climbed in autumn by two Australian.
Dhaulagiri

Dhaulagiri (8,167), whose name means White Mountain, is the seventh highest mountain in the world .It is an enormous Himalayan massif, located in north central Nepal. After its discovery by the western world in 1808, it replaced Ecuador’s Chimborazo (20,561 ft) as the postulated highest mountain in the world. It maintained this standing for nearly 30 years, until the discovery of Kanchenjunga which was then falsely believed to be the world’s highest mountain.

Dhaulagiri’s crest stretches for thirty miles, lending structure to an otherwise tangled topography of twisting ridges, glaciers, and ice falls. Along the main crest, several pyramid-shaped peaks rise. Four of these summits, numbered form east to west, rise above 25,000 feet.

In 1960, the Swiss/Australian expedition who first reached the summit did so despite their airplane having crashed during the approach. This was the first Himalayan climb supported by an airplane, although the plane was subsequently abandoned on the mountain.
Manaslu

Manaslu (8,163) is the peak of the Gorkha massif, and is the eight highest mountains in the world. It is located about 40 miles east of Annapurna, the tenth highest mountain. The mountains long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions, and it culminates in a peak that towers steeply above its surroundings landscape, and is dominant features when seen from afar. The name Manaslu is derived from the Sanskrit word Manasa and can be roughly translated as mountain of the spirit. An all-female Japanese expedition successfully ascended to the summit, thereby becoming the first women to climb an 8,000 meter peak.
Annapurna

Annapurn (8,091) is an enormous Himalayan massif, the tenth highest mountain in the world. In 1950, it becomes the first 8,000 meter mountain to be successfully climbed. It is located east of great gorge cut through the Himalaya by the Kali Gandaki River. The mountain has the glaciers on its western and north western slopes, which drain into the gorge.

Annapurna is a Sanskrit name that can be translated as goddess of harvests or more simply the provider. Of Annapurna’s many highs peaks, five are labeled using some variations of the name Annapurna. Of these, the two highest (Annapurna I and II), stand like bookends at the western and eastern ends of the massif.

The snowline in popular routes is far too high to allow for long periods required to develop a good ski industry. Also the remoteness of the locations means difficulty in transportation. But these conditions are best suited for those who are beyond just holiday skiers and love the excitement and thrill that backcountry skiing and snowboarding offers.

Also this trip allows you to ski at the top of the world, higher than any ski slopes in most of the ski destinations. This trip combines the best of backcountry snow in peak winter when the snowline is lower and also includes a visit to the legendary Everest Base Camp, arguable the most renown trek in Nepal and probably the whole world. The trips will be led by Alex Stickelberger, a fully qualified ski instructor and former member of the Austrian National Ski Team and assisted by Gyalzen Sherpa, who has been skiing in France and is from Namche Bazaar, the most popular destination in the route.

As all ski locations are over 4000+m, safety will be of prime concern and all precautions will be taken to avoid altitude sickness through appropriate acclimatization at lower altitudes. The route lies in the highest wildlife reserve in the world, the Sagarmatha National Park. It covers an area of 1,148 sq. km. of Himalayan ecological zone. The park altitudes range from 2,845m at Monju to the top of the world, UNESCO listed the park as a World Heritage Site in 1979 for its unique natural, cultural and landscape characteristics.

A trek in this region takes one to the foothills of the mightiest of the mountains in the world. Enroute, one traverses through rhododendron and pine forests, rivers, Sherpa villages and Buddhist Monasteries from temperate to snow line regions. The Himalayas are best seen on this trek as one traces the main route through the Khumbu region from the Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar. Trekkers get a close view of the world's greatest mountains, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Tawache and others.

The most famous among the Himalayan people are the Sherpas, who inhabit the Everest Region. Because of their impeccable mountaineering skills, they are an indispensable part of mountain expeditions as leaders, guides and porters. As an individual or in groups, they have set records of many 'firsts' in the mountaineering world. Due to their close affinity to Tibet, in trade, tradition and tongue, the Tibetan influence in their living style is quite distinct. The Sherpa people follow the Nying-mapa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The famous Tyangboche and other monasteries are the common gathering place to celebrate religious festivals such as Dumje and Mani Rimdu.

Interesting extensions to a trip to this region can be cultural walks in the Kathmandu Valley, a two day rafting trip on the Bhote Kosi, or a three day Chitwan Wildlife Reserve Rhino safari.

The Lobuje Mountain consists of two different summits, viz. East and West with heights of 6,119 m and 6,145 m lobuche peak climbingrespectively. A continuous ridge connects them but there is still a sharp gap and a considerable distance between them. The East Peak is recognised as a trekking peak, whereas the West is known as an Expedition Peak.

Lobuje being an attractive mountain offers various existing routes and also a potential for new ones. The dark triangle of its rocky East face rises over the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier to a spectacular skyline, forming the south ridge.
The peak of Lobuje East is reached by descending a marked notch and climbing steep snowy slopes to the top. On most occasions, the mountain is climbed on the summit ridge only as far as a subsidiary snow summit, south?east of the true peak and before the notch. This peak is identified as the false peak. Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyalzen Sherpa made the first ascent to Lobuje East on 25 April 1984 although there are possibilities that others have reached the summit before. But no records are available.

Newars are thought to have lived in the Nepal Valley since the 4th century AD, developing a Hindu-Buddhist culture. The Gurkha principality was later established by RAJPUT warriors from India, and in 1769 they conquered lands beyond the present-day borders of Nepal. After incursions into northern India in which the Gurkhas were defeated, Nepal lost part of its territory to British India but retained its independence and enjoyed close ties with the British. It has maintained its close association with India since the latter gained independence in 1947. Nepal, the world's only Hindu monarchy, was controlled by a hereditary prime ministership until 1951. The nation's first election was held in 1959, but in 1960, King Mahendra dismissed the cabinet, dissolved parliament, and banned political parties. A 1962 constitution created a nonparty panchayat (council) system of government. After a 1980 referendum approved a modified version of the panchayat system, direct parliamentary elections were held in 1981. A dispute with India led to India's closing of most border crossings from March 1989 to July 1990, and the resultant economic crisis fueled demands for political reform. After months of violence, King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev dissolved parliament. The opposition formed an interim government in April 1990, and a new constitution creating a constitutional monarchy and a bicameral legislature became effective on Nov. 9, 1990. Multiparty legislative elections held in May 1991 were won by the centrist Nepali Congress party; the Communists became the leading opposition party. Mid-term elections in November 1994, which were called after the government lost a parliamentary vote, resulted in a hung parliament and the communists, who emerged as the single largest party, formed a minority government.

Nepal: Chronology of Important Events
