All week this week, I've got a special "posing pouch series" for Projectors.

I found a great set of mid-20th century body builders posing in natural settings - and it looks like they all shared the same pouch! I'm guessing that red was the color of choice in the day. Do any of you know if it was standard to wear red, or if the color had some significance (like red for "dress up"?)

I know I should be staring at all the muscles but I know you can forgive me for fixating on the pouch.

I'm not sure if this was a bug or a feature! Either something went terribly wrong with the exposure when the 1920s photographer attempted to capture this group of swank dandies, or it was a deliberate trick photograph (very popular in the day). Any photography mavens know? Either way, it makes a jolly show of male friendship.

Yes, I've been MIA on this blog for over a month and I wish I could say it was all fun and games but it's mainly been an excruciating work load. Which, actually, is my kind of fun, so no complaints! Just happy to be back with you. (Or, put another way, relieved my editors aren't so pissed they fired me...)

I found this amusing early 20th century cut-out, featuring two friends having a blast, probably at an early 20th century carnival photo booth (unless their local photographer kept such cut-outs in their studios). The memory was precious enough that someone framed it beautifully. Hope you love it as much as I do. More fun coming soon as I've been saving up a couple of lovely caches of queerly fantastic photos.
