Olympic Trials Dinner – May 22nd

In celebration of their accomplishments, the TCC Swim Team will honor Sonia Wang, Michael Haney, and Noelle Tarazona at a dinner scheduled for:

Tuesday, May 22nd at 6:30 pm
at the Market Broiler restaurant at Ontario Mills

Everyone is welcome – let’s send our three athletes to Omaha with lots of team support and TCC spirit!

Space is limited so please secure your seats as soon as possible with the RSVP form.
Forms are available in the swim office.

Workout schedule on this day will be earlier to accommodate the event.

TCC Parents “Cook” at Chili Party

Congratulations to WInner’s 3:45 and Jennifer’s 4:00 groups — Voted Best Chili at the TCC Parent Chili Cook-Off Party!!
Chef Dennis McClain served up the winning chili and now it is up to WInner and Jennifer to “prepare” a night of fun for the winning groups.
Thanks to Maggie Schirm, Brenda Brick, Thu Gribble, Tess Mohnike, Heidi Strash, Mindy Campbell, Steve Verdon, P.J. Liemsakul and Chris Klinefor their special recipes. A big thanks to Maricela Antuna for helping out with everything and Lidia Biswell for the hot dogs.
We hope everyone had a great time.

TCC Parents – It’s Time To Party!!

Mark your calendar - TCC Parents – Join the fun at our 1st ever “Chili Cook-Off” Competition – Friday, April 27th at the TCC Clubhouse from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Each parent will be part of a group-entered chili. Your group is designated by your child’s swim group. Pick up a flyer in the swim office for more details.

It’s a great way to meet & greet other parents, learn some team information and have some “sizzlin’ hot” TCC chili.

Springtime Brings Fun for Michael Haney

U.S.A. National Junior Team Member Michael Haney will “fly” to the Olympic Training Center, in Colorado Springs, the weekend of April 19-22 for a camp hosted by U.S.A. Swimming. The intention of the camp is to assemble some of our nation’s top young swimmers, 18 years and under, and expose them to some of the resources at the
Olympic Training Center such as video, statistical data, nutrition, and performance information. Michael’s selection, to the National Junior Team, was based on his 100 freestyle swim at last summer’s Senior National meet held at Stanford University. This a special accomplishment and we hope you have lots of fun Michael.

TCC Finishes 3rd at BRW Eastern Championships

The Claremont Club Swim Team ended the short course swim season at the BRW Eastern Championships with lots of best times. The swim team finished an impressive 3^rd place (against 30 teams) in the overall team standings. Highlights included:

Lorelei Hartman, 6 – her 1st swim meet
Genevieve Niko, 6 – placed 1^st in the 25 breast

Masters Swimmers Score at Pentathlon

Congrats to our Masters swimmers who competed at the CalTech Pentathlon. Each swimmer competed in a 50 fly, 50 back, 50 breast, 50 free and 100 I.M. Masters Swimming is divided into different age group categories and all nine of our TCC swimmers scored in their individual age groups:

Masters Swimming is an organized swim program for adults. Everyone has his/her own reason for joining Masters – health, fitness, camaraderie, fun, travel, coaching, or the thrill of competition. Anyone 18 years or older can join. If you are interested in becoming a Masters Swimmer, please call the Aquatics Department.

TCC Group Swim Lessons

We believe there is a swimmer in every child — TCC Group Swim Lessons
Do you have any siblings, relatives or friends that need to learn to swim?
Beginning March 5th, the club is offering swim lessons, twice a week for a three week session. The goal of our swim lesson program is to encourage children to have fun in the water while improving their water skills. If you are interested, sign-up at the front desk NOW!!
