The intent of this document is to provide a standard means for evaluation of systems designed to remove contamination from fiber optic connector endfaces. This procedure is applicable to all single and multi-fiber connector types populated with any fiber type. Contamination trapped between mating optical connector endfaces can result in the following failure modes: Increase in attenuation Increase in return loss Permanent polished endface damage due to abrasion Permanent polished endface damage due to contamination response during higher power throughput applications It is beyond the scope of this document to define or specify cleaning systems. This document is applicable to both In-situ (bulkhead) and free connector cleaning systems.

This test procedure describes a method for the determination of temperature cycling effects or the temperature dependence of attenuation on optical fiber units, cables, cable assemblies, connectors, and/or other passive fiber optic devices. This procedure tests the ability of the component to withstand changes in temperature of the surrounding atmosphere that may be encountered during operation. Measurement of optical fiber is covered in FOTP-234 (TIA-455-234) “IEC 60793-1-52 Optical Fibres - Part 1-52: Measurement Methods and Test Procedures - Change of Temperature”. The simulation of temperature shock testing is covered in FOTP-71 (EIA/TIA-455-71A), "Procedure to Measure Temperature-Shock Effects on Fiber Optic Components.”

TIA-1121.000-A "Overview for Ultra Mobile Broadband (UMB) TDD Air Interface Specification"

The requirements in this family of standards (TIA-1121) ensure that a compliant access terminal can obtain service through any access networks conforming to this specification. They are primarily oriented toward requirements necessary for the design and implementation of access terminals. As a result, detailed procedures are specified for access terminals to ensure a uniform response to all access networks. Access network procedures, however, are specified only to the extent necessary for compatibility with those specified for the access terminal.
The standards include provisions for future service additions and expansion of system capabilities. The architecture defined by these standards permits such expansion without the loss of backward compatibility to older access terminals.
The standards are based upon spectrum allocations that have been defined by various governmental administrations. Those wishing to deploy systems compliant with these standards should also take notice of the requirement to be compliant with the applicable rules and regulations of local administrations. Those wishing to deploy systems compliant with these standards should also take notice of the electromagnetic exposure criteria for the general public and for radio frequency carriers with low frequency amplitude modulation.

TIA-1111 "All-IP Network Emergency Call Support"

This document defines the stage-2 service description and normative stage 3 procedures in Annex D for emergency services in the IP Multimedia Core Network Subsystem (IMS), including the elements necessary to support IP Multimedia (IM) emergency services. This document covers also the Access Network aspects that are crucial for the provisioning of IMS emergency services. In particular HRPD is supported. For cdma2000-1X access networks the traditional circuit switch approach for emergency services should be used. For the current phase of emergency call support, it is assumed that PSAPs support Circuit-Switched (CS) or IP voice calling capability. In the future more capable PSAPs may come into being, which may have the capability to send and receive other types of media (e.g., pictures with escape routes, video, etc.). This may be the subject of a future revision of this and other associated documents.

TIA-1131 "Video Code for 3GPP2 Packet Switched Multimedia Services H.263"

ITU-T Recommendation H.263 (01/05) [4] has been adopted as a video codec for various 3GPP2 multimedia services such as Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS), Multimedia Streaming Service (MSS) and Packet Switched Video Telephony (PSVT). The ITU-T recommendation only specifies syntax elements and decoding process under lossless condition. However, parts of video information for 3GPP2 Packet Switched Multimedia (PSM) Services may be lost due to latency, over the air loss, etc. Therefore, this specification provides informative recommendation of H.263 decoding when parts of video information for 3GPP2 PSM services are lost.
