PSSSHHHHEEEEWWWW!!! It's been a long time coming and been in the making for a while but we finally here. In just 8 months TM101 Radio has grown beyond my wildest imagination and I can't be more excited. We are rapidly becoming a go to SOURCE for Independent Hip Hop music (I know we are lacking on the R&B music though but we will get there). The station now receives over 12,000 listeners every month from over 150 Countries. We are also already ranking in Search engines in the top 20 for the Keywords we been targeting and even though PREVIOUSLY we only had a one page website we where receiving over 100 hits a day and even that is growing. CRAZY!!! All this and we did very little marketing. SO this means it's you guys that helped us grow so much in that time span. With this New website we plan to STEP OUR GAME UP to 1000 and really get the word out about the station and the website. We got alot of new features we are rolling out and alot of Dope Projects in the works. We will be posting Mixtapes, Reviews, Music Videos and alot of other things. We also built a Community Forum so we can either act a fool or have intelligent discussions about the music we treasure so much. Also if you have suggestions for us or feedback please don't hesitate to post it in the forums. We have our TOP 40 Charts up where you can see the Hottest Tracks we have in Rotation as rated by you the listeners. Also all the videos and posts can be rated as well so if you think a Video or Article is Hot make sure you rate it. So please sit back, kick your feet up, rate the videos and music, comment and join the discussions in our forums and see everything we got to offer. Station Update - Nokia Phones

It has been a while since I made and update on the blog in regards to the station but I just want everyone to know I have been working very hard on the station and I haven't let up my pace to get the station EVERYWHERE!!! With that being said I just recently linked up with the good folks at Nokia and was able to get my station listed in there Directory. That means the Station is available on all the Newer model Nokia Phones which is awesome for us here at TM101 Radio. If you have a Nokia phone just click the below link with your phone and then choose your phone and install the Nokia Radio App. Then just search for TM101 Radio and add our station as a favorite and you will be able to tune in. Station Update - Facebook Application APPROVED!!!

Ok wow so far this month has been huge for TM101 Radio. First we signed the contracts with Windows and Apple to become official content providers for them and now our OFFICIAL FACEBOOK APPLICATION has been approved by Facebook to be included in the directory. (Read more...)

I'm shocked our Facebook Application was approved because quite frankly TM101 Radio is operating with a small budget so I had to work on it myself and I have very little knowledge of Facebook programming language. Nevertheless its Approved and I couldn't be more excited.

Let me run down some of the Features of the Facebook Application.

First and foremost you can Tune in to TM101 Radio on Facebook from our Application ( you can also embed our station into your status feed) and Surf around in the App without interrupting the music.

Secondly you can rate the Music in Rotation as you can do on our Blog and Station page.

Thirdly we have various links to things such as Music Videos, TOP 100, Artist Links, Artist pics and Mixtape Downloads.

Fouthly if you connect with the Application it will create a bookmark of the App on your Profile so you can easily navigate back to the Application (see pic)-->

Lastly we have a couple of Games included in the App and we will be Adding more on a regular basis.

Overall this Application makes for an excellent way to kill time listening to amazing music.

Station Update - Ratings/Top 100

Ok allow me to introduce the Newest Feature on the TM101 Radio blog, the TOP 100!!! The TOP 100 is the TOP 100 songs in Rotation on the Station as Rated by YOU, the listener. The TOP 100 updates in Real Time as you vote so its always up to date with our Stations Hottest Music. You can vote anywhere you see our "NOW PLAYING" widget (including here on our blog on the right hand column). Just hover over it and then cast your vote on a 5 star scale. To keep it fair you can rate a song once (so rate wisely). We will be using these ratings in the future to give songs with higher ratings more spins and songs with lower rating less spins. In essence we are letting you the listener determine our Programming. Also there is another feature on the TOP100 page, links to the music on Amazon and Itunes so if you really like a song you can purchase the songs via those 2 services if its available. The links provided are searches of those 2 services so sometimes a link will be available but the song wont be on either service. We are working on a more accurate search script for this so stay tuned for more updates because we got alot coming!!! OH YEAH...What you waiting for?? Start voting already..LOL

Station Update - TM101 Radio on your Iphone, Blackberry and Android

Although the TM101 Radio Mobile page for your Iphone, Blackberry or Android is not new I just wanted to do a quick write up about it and let everyone know how easy it is to use. Also I wanted to update everyone on the additional features I added to the Mobile page. The first update I want to mention is how to get there. All you have to do to get to the mobile site is type http://m.tm101radio.com on your smartphone browser and you go directly to the TM101 Radio Mobile site.

The first thing you will notice is the simple layout of the Mobile page. I tried to make it as simple as possible so you can tune in to the music right away. If you look at the pic you notice the 3 phones listed. The Iphone, Blackberry and Android. To tune in all you have to do is select your phone and within seconds the stream will load on your phone and you will be tuned in to TM101 Radio. Pretty Simple huh.

Also on the Mobile Page is the Voicemail Number for TM101 and if you want to call in and leave your ShoutOut, Rant or Request all you have to do is click the number and you phone will prompt you to call. Each phone is different but select whatever options is yes on your phone and your call will be connected to leave your Voicemail within seconds.

Lastly if you scroll down to the bottom of the Mobile page you will see another phone number listed. That phone number is there for the listeners that do not have unlimited data on their devices but have unlimited minutes. You just dial that number and enter the Station ID and after a few messages from sponsors you will be Tuned In to TM101 via phone and not data. This method works from any phone so you can in essence even Tune In to TM101 Radio from you house phone if you choose to.

One last thing, if your phone is equipped with a QR Code Scanner then another way to access Mobile Page is by scanning the pic on the left with you phone and you will be taken directly to the Mobile Page.

Station Update - Song Rater

Ok so its the New Year and already there has been alot of things going on here at TM101 Radio. Alot of new stuff in the works for the Station. As many of may have noticed who visited the Station Page lately we added a BRAND SPANKING NEW FEATURE to the station. (Read More)

We added a new "Now Playing" widget that shows a thumbnail of the Artists Album or Mixtape Cover. Another BIG!! feature of the widget is the ability for the listener to rate songs on a 1 to 5 star rating system. This is huge for 2 reasons, the first being that the higher rated songs will receive more Airplay and thus allowing the listeners to determine what songs and type of songs get more Airplay. The second being that we can give feedback to the Artists to let them know what their more popular songs are. (See Pic for how it looks)

Also you notice where it says "Amazon Mp3" and "Empty", these are link to the songs on (or a search for the song) Amazon or Itunes. It will only show a link to Itunes if the song is available in Itunes but will show the Amazon link regardless if the song is there or not. So this gives you the listener the ability to purchase the song if you really like it. We also have a small version of this "Now Playing" widget on this blog on the right hand side and a rectangular version in Test mode on our Facebook Application (also in Testing right now). So as you can see we are adding alot of features that set our Station apart from all the other stations out there. Not a bad start for the NEW YEAR. Stay Tuned becuase we got alot more coming.

I have been getting numerous request to put a Gallery of Pics for the Artists in Rotation on the Blog and Station Page. Well the good news is I did just that. So if you visit the Station page and scroll to the bottom you will see the Gallery and if you visit the "Featured Artist" link on the Blog you will see the Gallery. There is over 25 pics and there of all the Artists currently in rotation on TM101 Radio. Got more Updates coming so stay tuned......

Station Update - TwitterCasting

If you are following TM101 Radio on Twitter you may have noticed my tweets of the currently playing track. Well I recently integrated a feature on the station that will automatically tweet the current song every hour on the hour. I can change the frequency of the tweets but I don't want to piss any of my followers off and flood their timeline. Also I have been adding the Artists Twitter name to the song titles. This serves 2 purposes. One is to mention the Artist in the Tweet so they can retweet to their followers and also if you really like that Artist you can follow them too.
