Sounds brilliant don't they?

Unfortunately, it's all how music geniuses play with those songs. And that's what we call...

MASH-UPS

Usually if you go to night-clubs (well, I don't go!), they usually play the mash-ups and remixes versions of the songs. The process is quite difficult apparently, due to how to make the combination looks clicked to each other.

As for me, I am still learning how to do one, who knows we might be hearing any local bands being mashed-up in the future.

I just hope they don't come and sue me for that!

Anyway, if you're interested to hear more mash-ups, just using our friendly Mr. Google and type MASH-UPS and you'll find gazillions versions of mash-ups. The good, the bad...

And the off-keys :P

Well, I'm signing off for now, so that I can listen to Muse's Supermassive Black Hole...

With Britney's singing Do Something on it!

It was known yesterday that 'the orange wave' swept the whole Village 5 Cafe after the sudden disappearance of Nasi Lemak Al-Qudus, Alabama Western Cafe and Sweet Mango Juice Booth.

I already knew this will happen after the signs of disappearance of several small booth (Char Koey Teow, Waffle Cake) are already noted during the first days of the new semester.

It's getting more obvious when Nasi Lemak Al-Quddus pasted their new branch map on their booth, weeks before their abrupt closure.

How UTP students respond to the sudden wave?

Membantah Monopoli D'Jernih di cafe V5 UTP, a petition started out by my good friend, Hambali

Previously In2Eat also monopolied the whole sector, before their venture failed. Another obvious sign, In2Eat and De Jernih wears the orange colour. Closer ties perhaps?

I don't want to comment on this, but it seems a leisure chatting with Mr Talhah would help the cause

Even though I was helping out for a while before returning to UTP, the villagers somehow remembers me due to the fact I grew up there.

For most people, the stories that always circles around are the fact that I read newspaper when I was 3 years old, which is simply unbelievable. Me? Reading newspaper when I was 3 years old? That sounds a bit ridiculous to me.

When that story flashes through people's minds, there goes the comparison between me and the genius Adi Putra. Oh God, I am already in my adult life and that story still fresh in people's mind. Adi Putra is different and I hope people would appreciate his talent and don't let his talent wasted just like other failed prodigies.

Even though I'm blessed with such talent, I do lack some of the traits, especially social communication. However, I managed to recoup most of it, if not all

I have to be grateful to the people around me especially the parents who molded me to what I am now. I might be a total opposite if not for their intervention.

Not forgetting, those who played a bit part of their role in front of my eyes, comprising those from SK Stowell, SK Alma, SMS Tun Syed Sheh Shahabudin, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Youthsays, Spotgamers and everyone included. I guess I don't deserve the much respect that I have now.

And the girlfriend who is always through ups and downs in my life. She's really there when I was struggling with my current challenges. I owe you one, Baby. :)

I might be taking a place as backseat driver for now. It is time for me to get my private time after exposing the whole so-called of magic of mine. Give me any titles or callouts as mark of respect but I'm always been "The Psycho Kid" Asyraf Fadzlee. I am now focusing to reunite the colleague from SK Stowell, where my legacy begins. After that mission is accomplished, I'll be back on the usual "TPK" style.

Get the youngsters to take the torch from us. Let them show what they are worth of. He joined PETRONAS in 1989 as Senior VP of Finance (currently hold by Datuk George Ratilal).

He's one of the team who spearheaded the transformation of PETRONAS as a multi-national company, the one who spearheaded PETRONAS as one of FORTUNE 500 companies.

His last contribution?

Breaking into Iraq after winning the 2nd round of Iraq bidding round. He once said one of his dreams to bring PETRONAS into Iraq where the abundant resources of oil is there. I guess mission accomplished for him then.

Now, all eyes are focused to PETRONAS's own breed, Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas who joined PETRONAS since 1975 and retired in 2009 as CEO/MD of MISC Berhad. Could Datuk Shamsul continue the rapid out-of-the-box achievement by Tan Sri Hassan? Let's wait and see then.

So, what's next for Tan Sri? Yeah, he's resting now after 21 years of non-stop contribution to PETRONAS. He is offered a post as energy advisor, but let time tell about it.

In a nutshell, you simply rock, Tan Sri!

It seems that being a young e-sports media entrepreneur is not as easy as I thought.

Especially when I am doing in a sector that less people ventured in.

Things would be more complicated if I participate actively in UTP's events. There were some close friends, gamers, university mates and so on.

But there's one linker that really make me surprised, astonished, honored, you name it all when I saw where he place my link.

Oh, snap!

Me as young thinker? I would laugh at first, but given the fact on how this linker, who as later known as Mohammad Khazaidi, a junior from UTP, it reminds me on how I went through the past 3 years at UTP.

I break into the scene when I was in foundation, weeks after my arrival. Well, how my journey goes, I would prefer to keep it for myself as I don't want to boast about it.

Basically, I have to be proud of these youngsters who are taking the torch from the old-timers like us. At least they made UTP and themselves proud with their achievements. I can be considered as the second generation of UTP students where the first generation of UTP students mostly were established as experienced professionals and even some become the lecturers. The second generation were the fresh graduates and final year students and post-grads.

Now, it's their turn to take the torch and continue what has been left by those soon to-be graduates, including me! Whether they want to plan on how they would bring UTP to another level, it's their choice. I would just observing here and there to see how things going on.

Alas, I have to be glad of myself for being a part of 5 world-record holders from UTP in Cyber Fusion 2009. At least it serves as the catalyst to get recognition for e-sports in UTP.

So yeah, what's next for me? I don't know. You be the judge :)

Ah, now I'm starting to miss Singapore and A Famosa Resort.

I'm certainly talking about the second one, given the penetration rate of Internet and mobile phone in Malaysia reaches 65.7% and a whopping 104.1% each

No wonder la there's one bitch having 4 mobile phone number at one time.

And currently we have a lot of choices of mobile number such as (Ignore the Mobile Number Portability for those who are unloyal. LOL)

Maxis - 012/017/014
Celcom - 013/019/014
Digi - 016/010/014
U Mobile - 018

And there's the virtual network operator who feeds on the Big Four up there

TuneTalk - 010 - feeds on Celcom 2G
XOX COM - 010 - feeds on Celcom
Happy - 016 - feeds on Digi
Merchantrade - 013 - feeds on Celcom
Redtone Mobile - 013 - feeds on Celcom

I never heard about Merchantrade. Line baru ke?

There you go, see how competitive the mobile operators here. That not includes the broadband war when you step into PC Fair in KLCC

(Caution: Please use another road to avoid the swarming promoters)

Well, currently I'm using Maxis, but given the sucky line I have here in my room (recommendation by Kak Yong and Baby), I might add another mobile number to the existing one.

But waiting for the budget to come meh.

So, that how the coverage that can make you age and rage a lot if something wrong is with the line.

P/S: Waiting for Maxis to set up their transmitter, otherwise I opt to Celcom temporarily.

It's kinda harsh but people that doesn't have a quote, didn't know where is his / her position.

Here you are, the list of selected quotes, courtesy of QuotesCollection.

"Bad conduct destroys divine service as condiment destroys honey." - Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h)
"I have only one counsel for you - be master." - Napoleon Bonaparte
"A joke is a very serious thing." - Winston Churchill
"Hate is more lasting than dislike." - Adolf Hitler
"Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one." - Bill Gates
"Ballots are the rightful and peaceful successors to bullets." - Abraham Lincoln
"My life is my message." - Mahatma Gandhi
"Man is by nature a political animal." - Aristotle
"Social progress can be measured by the social position of the female sex." - Karl Marx
"Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names." - John F. Kennedy
"Just when they think they've got the answers, I change the questions." - Rowdy Roddy Piper
“I was also following something my mother taught me. When you are enjoying a real good meal, stop when the food is still good. So, I guess it's good for me to stop now,” - Tun Dr. Mahathir

Well, my own favourite quote of mine, as you see on the header itself, but with some extra addition:-

I never force. I just inspire people to do the same, even if it's not related with my life. It's yours anyway.
When friendship is based on money, you already know which friend cost millions and which friend cost less than a pence

I guess I rest my other quotes for now. However, states like Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Selangor (to name a few) drag their holiday to yesterday since today is Thaipusam. Therefore, for the Indian readers especially those who worship Lord Murugan, Happy Thaipusam then.

Go.ESC Logo copyrighted from Go International Group. DreamHack logo copyrighted from DreamHack

Speaking about the topic for today, I was reminiscing about how I joined SpotGamers, months after my debut in competitive gaming, back on CELGames 2008 in July 2008. Previously, it's just a team of gamers, just blogging for the community about news and stuffs. It was set up on 16th June 2008 by Rinie "Si_Jali" Ramli (not my parental sibling =P) to focus on news about competitive gaming players.

So, I decided to become a contributor for the news unofficially. I just went to gaming events, make reports and send it to Jali, as he is famously known. Time goes by, I'm sensing an opportunity on how to promote competitive gamers to public. So, there goes Malaysian Gamers Gathering and during that time, the 1st SpotGamers Award was being held.

Cut the story short, SpotGamers going through ups and downs, people come and go. The usual routine goes on. But what happen last week was really a surprise to me, as I told you what happen.

The week before the first official meeting in 2010, Jali was proposing me about the organization chart and sorts. At first, I opposed to the plan as it's not feasible to the current team. Well, he got the future plan after all.

And the day was a turning point of my career. From a small fish in the big sea, I am now rise as the main point of e-sports industry. I make a lot of friends, comprising from Malaysians, Singaporeans, Thais (to name a few) and the list goes by. I managed to get two podium places in my 18-months career.

Speaking about the unity of multi-race, we have demonstrated earlier. Here's the proof:-

Back (From left): Leon, BinG, Si_Jali, Strifemare, Han.
Front (from left): TPK, Terence

So yeah, I was privileged to have this set of friends to stay through ups and downs, despite our personal life is different to one another.

Being the Deputy COO was a pain in the ass, especially you have to deal with PR (Public Relations, not Pakatan Rakyat) issues from far.

And especially you're 200 kilometers away from the centre of e-sports scene. Have to deal with it la kan?

And there you have. The story of how one of Malaysia's e-sports fast-growing media emerged as one of the main player in the industry. Do play your support on our currently beta site at http://www.spotgamers.com

Fortunately that I'm off duty today, so I shall have a good rest on the weekend. Happy weekend folks!

P/S: I just started this weblog page on Facebook. Do join if interested :P

Yeah ladies and gentlemen, after lack of posts due to my internship, I'm here now back to the blog again as usual. Well, as most of people know, I'm now back at UTP, settling my dues with them for another year before I can call myself a fresh graduate.

Being a final year student is already a big challenge, especially when you have to crack your head on your Final Year Project. After cracking, hacking and jacking all heads, I have decided on one of the topics for the project

Tools For Analyzing Style Of Gameplay In A Computer Game.

Well, so much for being passionate in electronic sports isn't it?

Speaking about electronic sports, it seems that my desire really pays off. I joined SpotGamers on March last year just to improve my skills and help to promote e-sports in Malaysia, or maybe Asia. However, what happen last week was really unexpected one. We have grown into a very big project, call it unofficially a company, and I got the biggest responsibility and challenge in my entire life.

Deputy Chief Operation Officer of SpotGamers. That's a strong statement on how big is the challenge right now. Especially the 11-man strong team are made up from youths ranged from 15 to 24 years old.

So yeah, the heavy responsibility is just like a 6 tonne weight on my shoulder, but I just go through and beat the hell out of it.

The Other Half's being awesome as well through ups and downs. Two days ago was our 7-months anniversary and hopefully it would go past the longest than anything would do.

And there you have it, my own comeback to blogging world. I know my weblog being a terrible mess. I might have to make it nicer soon.

Cheers for now! xD

A lot of things happened, but let me blog about the recent event that I've attended last weekend, Samsung's Color Me Corby Carnival which was being organized in cooperation with Nuffnang to promote their latest phone, Samsung Corby.

The real and funny fact about this thing is, I was being invited despite only shooting 10 shot the Samsung Online Competition. It's totally a definite opposite to another Samsung competition when I spend a freaking THREE hours to end up myself with Samsung MP4 YP-P2.

So yeah, instead of getting White as my team colour, I got PINK instead. Repetez-vous, I GOT PINK INSTEAD! But eventually, I had fun knowing the new teammates, such as Azhar, Diese, Samantha, Xiang, Samuel, Suria, Bob, Richard, Angeline, Aus, Sabrina and others. OK, who else I miss in the Pink team?

To cut it slim short, here's the run-up on how the event goes:-

1st Event: Stomp The Yard

We got 2nd
Overall: 2nd

2nd Event: Tug-Of-War

We got 2nd
Overall: 2nd

3rd Event: Rock Climbing

We got pawned
Overall: 3rd

Final Event: The Paintball

Team 1 out at the first round
Team 2 got 3rd
Overall: 3RD

Since the winner and 2nd place got their warchest spoils, we got nothing. But anyway, what's important is teh teamwork and spirit that we have. At least we stayed until the end and have fun :)

Alright, more articles will be up as soon as I return to my playground next week. So, watch this space!

P/S: I should get my own hosting very soon!
Despite of my far distance from UTP due to my internship, I still take note of what happened in UTP. Especially, when the campus election season is back again.

The episode of 2005/2006 repeats itself when 6 candidates vying for 5 top posts in the high committee of MPPUTP. In the end, candidates #3, Mohd Ashraf was the odd one out while the other candidates, Haniff Humam, Mu'id, Ain R Asman, Jenani and Umair successfully won the election.

Oh right, the outcome from the election? There was rage from most of the students, pissed off with the outcome of the election.

If I was there, I was also pissed off as well. Reason? I saw Acap's potential after reading his manifesto blog. His maturity, the way of he deals with provocation really interests me after all.

As one of the former candidates of MPPUTP 2008/2009, I know how it feels to be the loser. Let say, I was the loser from the beginning, where there was a massive walkout when I started my speech, yeah, since I am the last speaker of the night. But well, those were the days.

But Acap's defeat is on the end of his career. The journey has just begin for him since he's First Year Second Semester. There is a long way to go, kid.

Anyway, what's next for MPPUTP? Whether it would be the continuation of the past dynasty of MPPUTP or the new emergence of the new breed of MPPUTP. Only the 5 key players have the answers.

I knew that there is no election for program constituency since they won uncontested. But can anyone post up their names? So that, I know who they really are.

I might be already out from the mainstream scene of UTP, but I am still watching from a distance. Watching whether it would be better or it would be worse.

Gah, I should focus on my e-sports career for now instead! :D

While the future of gaming seems bleak, Go International Group offered an opportunity for the gamers to play on the World's Largest Digital Festival, DreamHack

I was there for the whole 5 days since their set-up until the wrap up of the event. Honestly, I have to give full credit to Jasmine Low, Nikki Yeo and their team for making DreamHack Malaysia a reality.

OK, here's the start of my review for Indie Youth Fest. I only covered the gaming part since I couldn't manage to cover the music area at the Rainforest.

Gaming Day 1

Apparently I arrived at Highstreet after Friday prayers with my little bro, Q who is kinda excited and hoping to join TrackMania Nations (yeah, at the expense of his big brother la).

During that time, there was a Counter Strike 1.6 Open Tournament involving several of the teams who qualified for the DreamHack Malaysia Final Qualifier including LZ (or known as LengZhai) and 8075.

Apparently, as I waited for the registration for TrackMania to be opened, a message comes in. It's from Phil @ DeathAdder, my Singaporean shoutcaster who were invited to shoutcast for DreamHack Malaysia. Oh shoot, I quickly run to fetch and ended up trapped in a traffic jam, fetched Phil at Corus Hotel and only managed to return to 1 Utama at 9.00 pm. I thought my quest is already over with my lateness.

However, Lady Luck is on my side. Q told me that there are 6 people who registered (including the brothers) and all are automatically qualified for semi finals the next day. Fuh, what a lucky day.

After the day wrapped up, I sent Phil to his accommodation at Lisa De Inn, Section 17 and return home with another day to pass by.

Gaming Day 2

For Gaming Day 2, the Open Tournament ends with LZ proves that they are the team to beat after winning RM 1500, beating 8075 in process. While a cheeky 3rd-4th placing happened, ended up with the so-called suburban guys, Kampung Gaming beating the so-called urban guys, Bandar Gaming

After that, the Trackmania Semi Final kicks off with all 6 participants put up their skills and precision to qualify for the final. Q ended up early as he's not used to the tracks but a good exposure for him. Strifemare became the first to qualify, followed by Yea Han, and the final battle goes between me, Chapree and Moots.

It ended up with I am going for my 2nd ever final in E-sport career, this time, the podium is surely my first ever! (It only known later that Chapree and Moots purposely lost to get the headset. Damn it!)

After the tournament, the Trackmania guys joined the Blogger Review contest, courtesy of Cherlyn, and we were treated to.....

A nice and yummy Double Scoop Sundae for free, thanks to Baskin Robbins!

P/S: Nadira would kill me for sure about this :P

Some of the bloggers opted for Sakae Sushi for the two plates of small sushi. It seems that we have a good bargain since the Sundae costs about RM19.25 including tax :P

Well, I guess you're bored to know more, so shall we jump to the final day then?

Gaming Final Day

This is the big day for all teams and finalist for Go.ESC TrackMania and DreamHack Malaysia CS 1.6 Grand Finals. Before we go to the big one, we proceed first to my battle for supremacy in TrackMania Nations.

The battle is based on DreamHack Summer 2009. I gave a good fight during the first map which is Jigsaw Falling Into Pieces. However, when the map changes into Blizz A and Blizz C, there comes my nightmare. I quickly flunked in the process. So, the battle is down to Strifemare and YeaHan85. Strifemare managed to do a Massa and coveted the title of being the champion for TrackMania.

But there's one thing for sure:-

We proved that 1 Malaysia existed earlier in gamers' hearts!

While in Counter Strike, LZ proved that they are the best team in Malaysia after winning the Grand Finals beating RV with a tight score of 16-14. Unfortunately, it was later known that this is LZ's last competitive year before retiring. So much for a legendary team like them.

Anyway, here's some spontaneous picture during Indie Youth Fest at the gaming area:-

Apparently, Rina Omar was surprised that I got 3rd in TrackMania, with a fact that I taught her how to play Guitar Hero during the warm-up!

A big thank you, merci beaucoup, syukran jazilah to Go International Group for making the gamers dream a reality. One of the people who plays a very important part in my life, has left the world without saying a proper farewell. And there goes the flashback of her significant role in my life.

She came being a part of my life as she teaches me Science in Form 1 and Chemistry in Form 4 and Form 5. I do admit I am a weak student in science-related subjects. But yeah, she do make a lot of effort of giving extra knowledge to her student. Her commitment, determination and spirit really inspires me.

Besides that, she's also the general secretary of my school's co-operation and she's the one who invited me to join the co-operation, noticing my talent and knowledge in business-related matters. Thanks to her guidance, I was elected as the member of board of directors in co-operation when I was Form 4.

Even though I left school, I don't sever ties with the school. In fact, I still make an effort to visit teachers, especially her. Everytime I made my visit, she would be more than happy to give me a treat, eventhough I would politely refuse her offer.

If other ex-students said they never met Cikgu Norizan since 2-6 years, I bet I was among the luckiest ex-students to met her for the last time when she came to UTP for her cycling activity. It was out of nowhere that she would thought of me when I was scheduled back home the next day.

Our conversation went very well as she told me about her life and I told her about my current activities. When I asked her about her condition, she was supposed to end her chemotherapy and back to teaching in the middle of this year.

I thought she would be back to normal and continue her teaching.
But I never thought that she was actually bid her farewell to me before she left 6 months later....

Eventhough I am sad that she already safely back to where she belongs, there's a blessing in disguise for

She passed away on Friday which is the most auspicious day in Islam where those who died on Friday would be freed from torture in barzakh

She also passed away in Ramadhan, where those who passed away would be free from torture as well

Cikgu Norizan,

I know you are now safe and sound in barzakh. I know you wouldn't read this but I just want to give the highest appreciation and thanks that I ever give to a teacher like you for blending me, for nurturing me and for put some traits that makes me what I am now, someone who is highly spirited and passionate in whatever I do.

We shall meet again soon in afterlife, Cikgu Norizan. A big thanks to you for giving me such a wonderful and useful knowledge to me, and also for giving me the best 6 years of my life.

Innalillahi wa inna ilahi raji'un

Al-Fatihah~ ='(

You can't just imagine working from 8 am in the morning until 4 pm in the afternoon NON-STOP.

Yeah, there's no break during fasting month, just for the sake of consuming 8 hours of manhours.

Shot that manhours down, I still have 792 working hours to go (including holidays during weekdays)

Anyway, spending the short free time with Baby, who is sick at that time. Fortunately, she's already recovered from the sickness.

And now, I'm piling up my workload from time to time, and oh ya, this might be the last posting in this blog, before I start the migration to the new hosting.

So, always watch this space.
