Philip G. Bennett, Founder, Artistic Director is internationally recognized as a master teacher of the Stanislavsky System of Acting with 56 years of experience. He holds a BA in Humanities and a graduate Certificate of Mastery from the renowned American Stanislavsky Theatre in New York, where he served as actor, teacher and Assistant Artistic Director to Sonia Moore, émigré actress/director from the Third Studio of the Moscow Art Theatre. Full Circle — Performance

Full Circle: A Celebration of 40 Years of Dance in Tucson

Conceived by ZUZI's Co-Founder and Artistic Director Nanette Robinson, 'Full Circle' presents four new and recent choreographic works celebrating dance created and performed in Tucson over the last 40 years. The concert also honors the historic space now known as The Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre, built in 1987 by Tenth St Danceworks.

Featured choreographers and artists include Charlotte Adams (Tenth St Danceworks' artistic director, 1987–2000), Billbob Brown (Funhouse movement theater), Molly W. Schenck, Karyn Reim, Debby Urken, and Nanette Robinson.

HUMOR IN A JUGULAR VEIN TAKES A BITE OUT OF CRIME WHEN ATC GOES A LITTLE BATTY OVER THE NIGHT-FLYING ANTICS OF A CERTAIN COUNT

Count Dracula (Christopher James Stevens) thinks Lucy ( Susana Cordon) would be a tasty morsel, once they have been properly introduced..

On the Arizona Theatre Company stage of “Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors,” women have been cast in some men's roles to present a lighter side of the dark vampire tale, while flamboyant men play women larger than life itself. Altogether they create hilarious scenes filled with chaotic special effects.

Clearly, this Dracula for 2026 has come a long way from your great- grandfather's Dracula, played 100 years ago by suave Bela Lugosi in a crisp tuxedo.

Broadway regulars Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen co-wrote the lively “Terrors” script. In the Tucson production Greenberg is also directing a cast of five through a cascade of incredibly complicated pratfalls so precisely timed they almost feel choreographed. Tijana Bjelajac is the imaginative scenic designer who keeps it all contained on a single stage.

An impressively buff Christopher James Stevens plays the outlandishly re-imagined Count thriving on the dark side, but after that the remaining casting is gender free. Together the five of them play more than a dozen roles. Stevens also slips in some quick reflections on that saucy transvestite from “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Paul Vogt covers all the bases as Mina the larger than life daughter of Jean Van Helsing and also as JeanVan Helsing himself. Playing Mina's lovely sister Lucy and several others is delightful Susana Cordon.

As the intrepid real estate agent and vampire slayer, and others, is James Romney who makes an impressive character transformation from big nerd to convincing hero. Kelly Bashar wraps it up as the woeful Renfield and others.

It is helpful in keeping up with the story line for this breezy adaptation of the Count Dracula Legend that all the characters are known by their traditional names from Bram Stoker's Gothic classic. Also that the settings are in Whitby, London and Transylvania, circa 1897.

Yet as playwrights, Greenberg and Rosen keep an unabashed enthusiasm for American humor throughout, going full bore from start to finish, never pausing to take a breath. When you think there can't possibly be more, the players call upon a new pantheon of pop culture superstars to remind us there is a whole fresh century out there, wanting to see more of the Count.

"Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” runs through May 16 with performances at various times Tuesdays through Sundays in the downtown Temple of Music and Art, 330 S. Scott Ave. For details and reservations visit atc.org or phone 833-ATC-SEAT.

About John Mulaney

John Mulaney is a four-time Emmy Award, Critics’ Choice Award, and WGA Award-winning writer, comedian, and actor. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Mulaney rose to prominence as a writer on Saturday Night Live, where he spent four years on staff before returning to host the show six times — a testament to the affection SNL holds for him.

His stand-up career has yielded a string of acclaimed specials. Kid Gorgeous at Radio City (2018) earned him an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch (2019) was an Emmy-nominated musical variety special that showcased his creative range. His fifth special, Baby J (Netflix, April 2023), earned him a 2023 Emmy win for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special and a 2024 Critics’ Choice Award for Best Comedy Special.

ABOUT THE SHOW

Each FST! show features at least four storytellers who take the stage and share true, first-person accounts drawn from their own lives. The theme "Pride or Prejudice" invites stories about moments of pride — earned or complicated — and the prejudices we've carried, confronted, or overcome. Stories run 10–12 minutes and span every register: funny, tender, raw, and revelatory.

Ticket proceeds are donated to a local nonprofit organization that supports women, children, social justice and equity, or the arts. The venue can be climate-control challenged — dress in layers.

ABOUT FST! FEMALE STORYTELLERS

Founded in 2012, FST! Female StoryTellers provides a monthly stage for women and people of all historically marginalized genders to be seen and heard in the Tucson community. The organization works to promote feminism and equity by empowering women, femme, non-binary, genderqueer, and trans individuals. Shows are held the first Tuesday of every month at The Rock.

About the Showcase

On Sunday, June 14 at 2 p.m., Tucson theater audiences will experience something entirely new: a first-of-its-kind showcase where multiple local theater companies share one stage. The inaugural Sonoran Theater Showcase invites audiences to “sample” scenes from past productions and upcoming seasons, all in a single afternoon, while supporting the next generation of theater artists.

Part retrospective and part preview, the showcase offers audiences a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of Tucson’s theater scene in one place, meet the artists behind the work, and get an early look at what’s ahead for the 2026–2027 season.

An immersive, hands-on camp for teens who want to forge a deeper connection with nature through a combination of direct experience and the arts. Participants head into Southern Arizona’s most inspiring landscapes—including field trips to the Santa Ritas and Mt. Lemmon—learning from filmmakers, writers, and environmental advocates. Skills include creative communication, cinematography, audio recording, and editing.

(Re)telling Tucson's Story

Born 'down under' in Australia, Julian's life has been an ongoing adventure. Before landing in Tucson four years ago, he spent most of his childhood in Seattle, lived in Atlanta, and even tried Boston for a short period. By day, Julian works as a hospital physical therapist, and when he's not saving lives, he's an avid traveler who has visited over 15 countries. He's been trying to escape the day-to-day his whole life and has found the perfect outlet as a company member at TIM. Offstage, you can find him hiking, volunteering, exploring new food spots, or enjoying a cozy rom-com with his wife.

Everyone has a story to tell. Four short and personal stories from our special guest will inspire Tucson's premier improv comedy team.

About the Production

As part of its 10th Anniversary Season, Oro Valley Theatre Company is bringing back the very show that launched the company a decade ago. Directed by veteran director Judi Rodman — founder of OVTC and coming out of retirement for this special occasion — this production promises to be a joyful return to the stage.

Neil Simon's hilarious reimagining of his classic comedy replaces Felix and Oscar with Florence and Olive, creating a fast-paced version filled with sharp humor, lovable characters, and unforgettable comic situations. This production runs November 12–15 at Gaslight Music Hall, with rehearsals beginning in late September / early October.

About Live Theatre Workshop

Since 1994, Live Theatre Workshop (LTW) has produced professional theatre and theatre education that entertains, educates, and enlightens children, adults, and families across Tucson. LTW is committed to making the arts accessible to all through affordable ticket prices, scholarships, free school programs, and a deep focus on marginalized and low-income communities. Through Mainstage plays, Children’s Theatre musicals, Etcetera Late-Night shows, classes, summer camps, and a Young Playwrights program, LTW uses theatre as a vehicle for social connection and community storytelling.

Position Overview

As a versatile, proactive member of the LTW team, the Administrative Assistant ensures smooth daily operations through cross-functional support spanning administration, production, education, and facilities management. This role is ideal for a highly organized, multi-talented individual comfortable transitioning between box office support, house management, marketing tasks, classroom preparation, light facility maintenance, and set build assistance. A flexible schedule including regular evening and weekend shifts is required.

Key Responsibilities

Administration

• Provide regular box office support as scheduled

• House manage production performances as scheduled

• Support day-to-day troubleshooting of organization’s computers and technology

• Produce weekly sales and income reports

• Proofread LTW administrative documents as needed

Production & Marketing

• Assist marketing team in printing flyers, posters, and programs

• Collect production participant bios and headshots for programs and lobby board displays

• Manage LTW events in community calendars

Education Support

• Prepare printed and digital materials for all education classes and camps

• Design, print, and display all education-related posters and flyers

• Design and prepare print/digital showcase programs for all classes and camps

• Assist in maintaining the education supply inventory

• Keep classroom and backstage materials replenished and organized

Facilities

• Perform weekly janitorial duties

• Water plants and update the exterior marquee regularly

• Regularly touch up interior paint

• Provide general support to facilities maintenance

• Perform other duties as assigned (assist teaching classes, set build support, etc.)

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree; a high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant work experience may apply

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or production support role, ideally in an arts or non-profit setting

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Physical ability to perform general facility maintenance duties and set build support

• Proficiency in Google Suite and graphic design tools such as Canva for light design of flyers and programs

• Experience with Bloomerang donor management software or TIX box office ticketing systems is a plus
