This is perhaps our funniest and most intimate episode yet. Many of us hold our family histories sooo close to the vest that our fear of what our upbringings say about us prevents us from breaking it all down- even to our closest comrades. One of our regular contributors affirmed that this topic was "too close to home." It doesn't get more literal than that, kids. Shannon, Jamie, and I fueled this installment with our own childhoods. We unbarred vaults that exposed a ton about how we relate to our families now, as well as what we yearn for and value in our adult relationships. In the process, I hope we modeled how well poignancy and our collective ability to laugh [at the absurd ways our people coped with parenting, family conflicts and depression] can mix.

Hey yall! This week Angela, Ricky, and Rayanne talk about their Dads. Angela's all geeked out because she's missing the closeness her and Graham had. Now he's all sweet on Rayanne and it's pissing her off! She ends up scalping the two Dead tickets he gave to her and Rayanne, and pisses off Rayanne in the process! Meanwhile, Patti and Graham's business is being audited and Patti's Dad comes in to save the day because he's a manly man and that's what men do. "Send a girl to do a mans job..." Ricky, Rayanne, and Krakow all have Daddy issues, from being absent, breaking down doors ("My dad usually knocks," Angela says to Ricky) to like, Brian just having boring parents, but in the end it's all about the Chases, reconciling on a ladder talking about the Smashing Pumpkins and Porno for Pyros.
