A big festival weekend wraps up for Table 8, with three, count 'em three, Table 8 productions making their Wisconsin big screen premier this weekend at the 10th Annual Wildwood Film Festival. They put on a great festival every year and they've always been very receptive to what Table 8 brings to the, well, table.

This year Hitchhiker's Trade, Snow Angels and Heart Attack were shown during the day long event and all were very well received by the audience.

Snow Angels continues to be in consideration for airing on Tosh.0, new videos are in the hopper to be released soon, and there's a change coming to The Game Underthinker. Add to that a short film that Craig (Boozer Cruiser) is working on and not one but two possible series being filmed this spring/summer, and you'll be glad you told all your friends about us.

... you ARE telling your friends about us, right?

Our 100th video is shot and in the can. It's currently marinating in delicious editing juices and waiting to be served to you, our loyal fans. Now, it's just my opinion because I'm in it, but it hilarious. Everything you like about Table 8 is in this one. Scott being awkward, random violence, edited out cursing, Nik. Everything.

We've got a few other videos just chomping at the bit after our 100th video as well, and they are barn burners as well.

Big news to come about Game Underthinker. Well, maybe not "big" big, but different and I think you'll all enjoy it.

Also, we've sent Snow Angels off to "Tosh.0" for consideration. We'll let you know what comes of that.

If he doesn't love it? I blame Peter.

Shooting Today

We're getting together today to shoot our 100th video. It's very exciting for all of us, considering two years ago we had shot 0 videos. We'll shoot the video this afternoon and it will probably be up later this week. There'll be an announcement when it hits.

This weekend Table 8 hit 500 Subscribers. In less than two years we've ~~tricked~~ impressed 500 people enough to ~~click on a button on a website~~ dedicate themselves to us, mind, body and ~~balls~~ soul. High Five Subscribers! High Five... Hundred.

"Hitchhiker's Trade" played to a very positive reaction at The Big Dam Film Festival.

Next up is the 10th Annual Wildwood Film Festival, which is in Appleton, WI. Not only "Hitchhiker's Trade" but other Table 8 videos as well, so if you're in Northeastern Wisconsin the last Saturday of March, check us out!

In big Table 8 news, "Hitchhiker's Trade" will be shown this weekend at the 6th Annual Big Dam Film Festival. So, if you're in the Quincy, IL area, or you don't mind driving a few hours to be, check it out Feb 19th.

In almost as big Table 8 news, The Cape, television's worst new show that isn't a "comedy" on CBS, continues to have it's number of episodes cut. Table 8 has nothing to do with The Cape but John and Matt have a bet riding on how soon the show is cancelled.

We were all really, really excited at Table 8 with the win. We're all huge Packer fans and so this was just awesome.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk-umentary

Rockumentary is a great series. Created by Jon, it follows a group of guys who form the band "Led Giants" and their Rock Band adventures. And for those of you wondering, those really are Jon and his wife's favorite bands in the whole world. Short of naming the band "Led Clown Posse" there couldn't have been a more accurate name.

The original line-up was Jon, Peter, Tony and Jared.

And then in episode 3 Jared had to leave.

The new line-up has since been Jon, Peter, Tony and John.

And that's been the way it's been for the last three episodes.

But now here's episode 7.

A Theory

Charlie Sheen was taken to the hospital last Thursday because of "stomach pains". The only way that is true is if "stomach pains" is a street term for a particularly virulent STD. This is only the latest misadventure in the increasingly debauched life of Charlie Sheen. And considering how Charlie Sheen lived in the 80's it's hard to believe there was any more debauchery to squeeze out.

So the question is, why? Why the sudden and persistent tailspin? Why now? I think I've got as good an answer as anyone.

Charlie Sheen wants out of "Two and A Half Men". And he wants out bad.

The show has never been good, even when it was "good" it was never all the great. But now? Now it's masturbation joke follow by ejaculation joke followed by masturbation joke, masturbation joke, orgasm pun, Jake doesn't understand something a dog would get, masturbation joke, Charlie takes a drink and commercial break. And in case you think I'm kidding, part of the synopsis of episode 6 of this season is "Meanwhile, Alan tries masturbating on the sofa, in the car, and eventually gets arrested when he does it in a movie theater."

How could you keep going to work every day knowing that's what's waiting for you?

So of course Charlie Sheen wants out, but he's paid far too much. $1.8-$1.9 MILLION... wait for it...

AN EPISODE.

If my Dad made that much money I'd have to kick him in the groin. Charlie Sheen? Forget that guy.

So he can't just quit. He'd lose all that money. But he obviously doesn't want to work there any more. So what does he do?

He takes a page out of his own playbook and Sheens it up. Booze, drugs, strippers, hookers, more booze, more drugs, hookers that strip, strippers that hook, stupid hats, everything he can think of to make himself so unattractive to CBS that they will finally buy him out. You have to know they're close to their breaking point. This is a game of chicken and either CBS is going to blink, or Charlie Sheen is going to die.

Either way he will be free.

Fantastic Four Death

Iiiiiiiis not what this post is about. But with one of the Fantastic Four kicking the bucket this week, I thought it would be a good way to sucker people to the blog. We are nothing if not opportunistic.

1) New episode of Critic Egan is up. We'll actually be recording a Table 8 episode tomorrow night. Look for it in about a week.

2) We received our first letter back from a festival about "Hitchhiker's Trade". Bad news was it was rejected. Ehhhhh, what can you do? Oh, I know, SHOW IT. But other than that... Still waiting on word back from two other festivals, one had their selections this weekend, so we'll see how that goes.

3) In local sporting news, The Packers of Green Bay are Super Bowl bound. Here, in celebration, is a little video for your viewing pleasure.

"Hitchhiker's Trade" has been submitted to several festivals. Stay tuned to hear how it does and if it's actually going to be shown anywhere any time soon.

We had snow recently and I'm told that Ken ("...with Carl") shot footage for a video that you should see sometime this summer. His computer renders VERY SLOWLY.

CriticEgan continues to do well. Have you given it a listen yet? You totally should. If nothing else listen in the next couple of weeks for a massive Table 8 session.
