IFA 2010: Elonex 750ET 7 Inch Android Tablet Hands on Available (Video)

We’ve got a fresh hands on video of the Elonex 750ET 7 inch Android tablet, coming straight from IFA 2010. This UK-developed piece of gadgetry will cost 139 pounds and it’ll debut in October. The device is based on a 600MHz Rockchip CPU and it’ll be accompanied by 29 pound leather case USB keyboard accessory, seen in the video below.

The tablet can be turned into some sort of netbook thanks to the above mentioned accessory. Elonex 750ET weighs 400 grams, it comes with a microSD card slot and it also does 720p video.

Toshiba Folio 100 Tablet Debuts at IFA 2010, True iPad Rival

IFA 2010 is the perfect time of the year, if you’re looking for a quick glance at the future of mobile devices. We’ve witnessed the debut of Samsung Galaxy Tab and now another tablet has become official: Toshiba Folio 100. Pictured below and specced after the break this is a true iPad rival and a potential challenger for the Galaxy Tab as well.

This slate is a bit bigger than Samsung’s, since it packs a 10.1 inch display and more stuff, that you can learn below:

Samsung Galaxy Tab Officially Announced at IFA 2010, Available Through Vodafone Starting October

The long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Tab slate has arrived, as predicted and it was officially announced at IFA 2010, in Berlin. This 7 inch gadget will debut in October via Vodafone and we learn that it can make and receive calls, send texts, emails and much more. Toshiba Folio 100 10.1 Inch Tegra 2 Tablet Shown at IFA 2010 (Video)

IFA 2010 kicked off, with some nifty product announcements, like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, but also the showcasing of other interesting slates. Among them, we must stop and mention Toshiba’s Folio 100, shown in action in the following hands on clip. This 10.1 inch Nvidia Tegra 2-based tablet runs Android 2.2 and is certainly an impressive piece of gear.

It’s got WiFi, Bluetooth and there will also be a 3G version of the device. The Folio 100 is very much like the iPad, although a bit thicker and it comes with Toshiba’s own application store and media player. A HDMI out port was also spotted, as well as an SD card slot, a headphone jack and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.

Full Internet browsing, complete with Flash 10.1 is also among the features and the unit weighs 760 grams, in case you’re wondering.

HP Official Tweet Shows Tablet, Smartphone Prototypes

HP’s CTO Phil McKinney was recently spotted in a couple of images posted on Twitter, that showed some prototypes of interesting mobile devices. They seem to include a tablet, a smartphone and some other fun gadget at McKinney’s wrist, if we’re not mistaking. The pics were tweeted by Mark Budgell, another HP employee, but all we know about these devices is that they’re early prototypes.

No info of WebOS running on any of them and not even the screen sizes were revealed. Budgell also tweeted something about voting for McKinney’s SXSW 2011 panel, one meant for predictions and prototypes and created to showcase the way gadgets will look like in 5 to 10 years. So, these could be prototypes from the remote future, after all…

LG Optimus Tablet to Debut in September

We’ve shown you the LG Optimus tablet just hours ago and now here’s the device again, surfacing in a Pocket-lint scoop. The site recently received an invitation to an LG Optimus-related event that will take place this month and has the words “Coming Soon” written on it, accompanied by the image of a mobile device.

This looks more like a smarpthone, a Windows Phone 7 one we could dare speculate, but a tablet is not out of the count yet. The Optimus Pad is our guess, but who’s to say that we won’t see both an Optimus tablet and an Optimus WP7 smartphone taking off during the same event? 14 September is the date to keep an eye on!

StreamTV Elocity A7 Tablet is Yet Another Tegra 2 Android 2.2 Affair, Priced at $399

Although this brand doesn’t ring a bell, StreamTV has got a nifty tablet ready to take off. The US start up wants to sell an Android 2.2 Tegra 2-packing slate for $399 via Amazon and the product is dubbed Elocity A7, in case you’re interested. This is basically a rebranded Compal NAZ-10 tablet, with a specs list that you can check out after the break.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7 Android 2.2 Slate is Now Official, Provides Phone Features

ViewSonic’s ViewPad slate has just become official, as the 7 inch Android 2.2 tablet with full phone functionality. That sure sounds like an appealing description… The device incorporates front and back cameras, 3G connectivity and a SIM slot for regular cards. No trace of an earpiece, but we sure hope we won’t be chatting directly on the slate.

This rebranded OlivePad packs a 600MHz CPU, that’s pretty underwhelming, as well as a 7 inch display with a disappointing 800 x 480 pixel resolution, all for the price of $543. Review units will start popping up in October and we must mention that the slate uses a microSD slot (32GB), WiFi, USB connectivity, an office document reader and assisted GPS.

LG Optimus Pad Tablet Announced in Brussels

We’ve heard speculations that LG was preparing a slate of its own, possibly as a reply for Samsung’s Galaby Tab, but now it seems the product is more real than ever. It’ll apparently be part of the Optimus lineup of smartphones and the tablet will be dubbed Optimus Pad. The folks of Multimediawereld.be were present at the Dealer Days LG 2010, where LG announced said slate.

The company claims that the Optimus Pad will rival the iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab and in case you’re wondering we have nothing on the device, no trace of specs, dimensions, price or launch date. We know that it’ll be running Android and that it’s a super slim piece of gadgetry.

KT Identity Tab Slate Gets Announced

Korean carrier KT recently announced a brand new 7 inch tablet, called Identity Tab. We’ve discussed the device here and now we have the full list of specs to look at and a clear image of the slate. The product is available starting today with a $251 price tag and a 24 month WiBro contract priced at $23 per month.
