I bought this tablet after playing with it in a T-mobile store..i also tried the Samsung Galaxy Tab too while i was there.This thing blows the Tab out the water as far as performance goes..but the Tab has better graphics due to it's 1024 by 600 display.But for me it was no brainer to get the Streak.I was going to get the Motorola Xoom but it's priced way too high & seeing as my Streak 7 pretty much has nearly the same specs as the Xoom i just can't see wasting nearly $900 for the Xoom.
The battery life on the Streak 7 is pretty much my only complaint.But i bought a car charger for it however.Other than that this thing is perfect.The screen responds incredibly well.Games like Asphalt 5 look amazing on it!!! Read full review >>

Bought this Tablet a week ago and I absolutely love it. The 4G is wicked fast and I love the portability of it.
Pros:
4G (technically, not 4G, but just as fast)
7-inch screen is actually all you really need. The larger 10-inch tablets aren't exactly portable. If I wanted that, I'd carry my laptop.
Processing speed is fantastic.
Cons:
Not a big fan of the Dell Interface. However, you can replace that in the market for free. Download the ADW launcher to customize it or any other home screen.
Not set up to tether (make as a hot spot for others) yet. This can probably be done using a market app, but you may have to be rooted to do so.

I'm typing this review on the A500 now. I was deciding between an Ipad2 (and had actually purchased one), an Asus Transformer, and the A500. I became frustrated with the limitations of the Ipad 2, and once it became clear that the Asus Tranformer wouldn't have adequate stock for weeks, I decided to give the A500 a try. I bought this the week it showed up in a brick and mortar store near me. I love having a tablet around, it is much quick to just pick it up and use it instead of having to wake up/start up my computer. I use this for most of my web browsing now when I am at home, and I also take the tablet to work and use it for music via bluetooth (works perfectly with my sony DR-BT50 headphones). The sound on the tablet is really good, I was kind of surprised, for such a small thing to have such good sound. I am not saying I would want to listen to my music over the speakers, my headphones are much better for that, but for sharing music or videos with people around it works pretty well. Thankfully, HP didn't change the tablet's basic design: at 3.1 pounds, it's still small and easy to tote. Normally I don't take a Tablet or anything else computer related when I am skiing, but knowing the warm weather would mean I would be off the mountain early in the day I made an exception and brought a couple of Tablets along for the trip. With clear blue sky's and temperatures in the high 50's and low 60's the skiing was great until about 1:30 when then mountain became a giant snow cone. Forced off the mountain early I had time to put the New and Improved HP TC1100 through its paces. Nokia 770 was smaller than I thought it would be. The nicest part is that it found my wireless network just fine and the browser works. Downside is that performance is generally sluggish for a memory based device. Displays web pages nicely but not very quickly. Email app looks nice but also is sluggish and is missing some key functionality to really use it. Instant on is really instantaneous. I see this as a web browser to keep near the couch. Newsfeed feature is pretty good also. Some games are in progress from outside vendors but only buy this for an instant on browser. There is functionality to make it work with your bluetooth phone but I have not tried it. A faster processor and a little more memory (64mb vs 128 mb) would create a much better feel to the product.

I was surprised with the email and browsing experience (use Outlook, Gmail, and Firefox). Clicking on links and small icons really isn't as hard as I was expecting, the touch keyboard works ok, and windows picks up handwriting pretty well. You aren't going to write a page long email easily, but there is always the ability to use a bluetooth or usb keyboard and mouse if needed.

Windows apps work fine, similar experience to a core i5 laptop. Gaming isn't too bad. Civ5 works well enough, and I would expect most puzzle and strategy games to work. Will not do as well on games where you worry about fps. Videos look great, again much like a core i5 laptop. Read Full Review>>

Well it doesn't obviously address to Win 7 OS native issues - like hard to touch the window buttons, etc. But if one is looking for a Win 7 based tablet, this is an excellent choice. Also, Windows not having a Market Place like Android/Apple, the usage is still going to be PC type (Start -> Control Panel:)) So, if you don't like that, this tablet will not do any magic. You may wish Microsoft does things differently in Windows 8.

Just received the Galaxy Tab WiFi yesterday and so far I'm very happy with it. It was easy to set up, preloaded with a lot of useful apps, and generally intuitive when learning how to navigate around it.

I'm mainly going to read books and surf the Internet. It does this flawlessly. The display is bright and clear. It is also highly responsive to touch (on par with Apple's products). This is so important. I realized this awhile ago when I purchased a Cruz tablet. It was a chore to navigate the device because the touchscreen was not very good. Full Review >>

As a ios user I wanted to give android a shot so I choose to get the samsung galaxy tab wifi, but I guess that wasnt a smart choice. First of all what I dislike the most is froyo. There are so many apps that dont either support this device or it gets enlarged which makes the resolution go bad and all to blame is the poor os for this device. Like most android tablets these days, they have honeycomb but this tab has the mobile os. I wanted to do some 3D gaming but the apps are so limited unlike the ipad. Second to mention is the hardware. This device can't really do multitaking. I find myself crashing whether im trying to watch a video or download a file. Just running 3 apps really slows this device. In the other hand this tab has a gps and a vibrator which wifi ipad lacks. Also the sceen resolution and brightness is amazing for browsing the web. When I first got the Xoom about a week ago I turned it on and I really wasn't blown away. I use lots of devices, and my first impression of the Xoom just wasn't stellar. However, I could see the potential, and so I kept using it, I got some apps, I started to learn the interface and the depth of the features.
Sometime during day 2 of using the Xoom it really hit me. The Xoom and the iPad are like chess and checkers. When you first start playing chess (or trying to use the Xoom, in my amazing analogy) you feel overwhelmed and confused. You can't really do things smoothly, you don't understand the options, it just is not a great first impression. On the other hand, your first game of checkers (or using the iPad) is probably going to be pretty smooth. It isn't complex, most all the options and concepts are obvious and easy to understand and your first game is going to be pretty similar to your hundredth.

Picked up the WiFi only version on Sunday. Went with WiFi only because I already have a DroidX and can use it as a WiFi hot spot cheaper than going with the 3G plan for the Xoom. I played with this and the iPad 2 side by side prior to deciding. iPad does somethings better and faster (switching screen orientation) and the Xoom does somethings better and faster. The advantage with the Xoom is having 2x the amount of RAM built in. So things like Google Maps keeps up better on the Xoom. I really like the browser on the Xoom better too, but that, like most of the rest of this, is personal preference.
