Star Tron breaks down this excess water and sludge to sub-micron size allowing it to be safely burned away during normal engine operation. Therefore Star Tron prevents phase separation and fuel gelling, eliminiating ethanol fuel problems.

Gas and diesel fuels break down rapidly which results in lost power and poor performance. Star Tron stabilizes the fuel chemistry for up to one year in gas and two years in diesel.

Commonly referred to as "diesel algae," these microbial spores will colonize in the water phase. Startron slowly disperses bacteria: the fungi, mold, and yeast, collectively known in the fuel industry as "diesel algae", allowing the fuel filtration system to function efficiently.

Carbon deposit formation is a byproduct of unburned fuel in the combustion process. Star Tron's enzymes will break down and disperse these deposits restoring engine performance as it also modifes the fuel to prevent future carbon deposits.

With the removal of harmful engine deposits and an increase in combustion efficiency, exhaust emissions are greatly reduced. This results in cleaner air and cleaner boat transoms as black exhaust smoke is noticeably reduced.

Star Tron® cleans the entire fuel delivery system, removing performance robbing gum and varnish deposits while modifying how gas and diesel burn, this results in more complete and uniform combustion and therefore better fuel economy.

ATTENTION EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS
If you want to subscribe to this blog by email, be sure to click on the link in your emails' inbox to accept email from Tackle Shack News. Thanks for reading!

Tackle Shack
3737 Community Rd
Brunswick, Ga 31520
912-264-4665
blog@tackleshack.net
"looking for fishing and hunting supplies, give us a call to order or stop by our store"

They just don’t get it. Not only do they go home empty handed, but they’ve also missed out on the enjoyable event that would've kept them coming back for more. What’s going on there?

Most fishermen blame a bad fishing day on the weather conditions. Some fishermen blame it on the clever and recurring practices of the fishes themselves. Other fishermen blame the tools they use, such as the fishing pole or the fishing line. None of these is the real problem, however. It’s much simpler than all that.

One of the main reasons why fishermen don’t have a catch: they’ve selected the wrong lure. This means your bait or any traps that you set. As simple as that. Your choice and usage of lures can spell the difference between any success and total failure of your fishing game.

In setting up your lure, it is crucial that you first decide on what kind of lure you want to use. If you want to use live bait, you’ll need adequate knowledge of the procedure on how to secure them. Many fishermen who try to make fishing a more challenging effort get themselves committed to tying flies for lures. They become fascinated with this skill. As a result, many would end up spending more money, even splurging resources and energy to this rather than to fishing itself.

Using artificial lures is more popularly practiced by fishermen than using live bait. There are so many kinds, so many styles. Lures under this classification are usually made from materials like fur or hair, feathers, plastic and yarn or even thread. All these materials are fixed onto a hook or clip to create an imitation of a mature insect, a nymph, an egg or anything that would be attractive and appealing to a particular fish. And because not all fishes behave in the same way, you’ve got to know how to choose the appropriate lure for a specific kind of fish if you want to have a successful catch.

Believe it or not, the coloring and shading of the lure is quite crucial. As a general rule, the fish lure must complement the color and shading of the water. If the lake or sea water is greenish blue, the lure must also be of similar color and shading. It seems simple, for sure, but things are more complicated than they appear to be. The time of day must also be considered, you see. Light colored baits, for example, will not be noticed by fishes from sundown or early evening to daylight of mid-afternoon. The reason is because such a color or shading will merely cast a soft shadow beneath the water. For the same reason, dark colored lures will be difficult to notice come sundown or evening because the color or shading will blend with the darkness. It’s a bit tricky and you’ve got to know what you’re doing.

Choosing the correct lure is one of the fundamental principals that a budding fisherman must learn. Also as important is having this knowledge before you even consider venturing forth with any fishing adventure. Deer sizes range from that of a medium-sized dog to a full-grown mule. Truly big deer, does or bucks, are worthy game and in themselves trophies. In many states doe records are wide open for new entries. A doe exceeding 140 pounds is big anywhere. Bucks exceeding 200 pounds are considered big on the national average. Many such bucks are taken each year in most localities. Does exceeding 150 pounds are rarely recorded. Bigger does are prevalent with some becoming quite large. You may have a record doe if it exceeds 150 pounds field-dressed weight so be sure to check with officials. The current officially recorded largest whitetail buck was taken in Minnesota in 1926. It field-dressed at 402 pounds with a live weight approximated at 511 pounds.

Deer grouped together are easy to size up. The hunter can spot outsized animals through comparison. Single or widely separated deer are more difficult to gauge in size.

Most hunters who take deer to check stations and have them weighed are surprised that they do not weigh more than they actually do. They seem to shrink the longer you look at them. Hang around a check station where scales are available and you will learn a lot about deer size and weight.

What appears to be a large buck may turn out to be a small doe due to the effects of sunlight, shadowing, and cover. On the other hand, what appears to be a small doe may be a large buck. If the size of the animal is important to the hunter, then he should hold off for a better view before taking it.

Generally speaking, the farther north one goes the larger the deer are. Northern sub-species are just normally bigger deer. One would think that longer periods of forage abundance in the warmer climates of the southern regions would produce greater numbers of larger deer than the north, with colder winters and reduced food supplies. This idea holds true, for example, for bass fish. The reason that this is not the case with the whitetail deer is genetic. All the same, there are large deer to be found in the south too, and the rule that larger deer are found in the north has exceptions. Northern deer have been introduced into southern localities. Body size does not necessarily correspond with antler size, so record trophies can come from any part of the continental United States and Canada.

Texas deer rarely exceed 160 pounds in body weight but sport large racks. Texas has the largest population of deer in North America and some of the finest game and land management experts in the world.

During an "acorn year," when mast production is at a premium, deer gain weight. "Mast" is a term used to describe the forage which is found in sufficient quantities, has high caloric and nutritional qualities for wintering, and is preferred by the deer to fatten up on before the cold weather. The season following an acorn year is generally found to produce better antler growth in subsequent deer.

As a rule a fawn at birth will weigh approximately 7 pounds, 7 ounces as a male, and 5 pounds, 11 ounces as a female. As an adult the average doe will weigh 50 to 120 pounds, and the buck from 57 to 231 pounds.

The same locality can produce 30-pound deer and 300-pound deer, but most often the majority of deer in a given area are nearly the same size.

Albie Berk enjoys hunting and sharing what he has learned and any successful tips he can with others. You can always phone Canada – be it Canada’s capital Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal of Vancouver.

In dealing with legalities and customs people it is always best to be on the safe side.

Of course that if possible printed documentation is always the best.

First as a basis, Canadian’s are not anywhere near as open in regards to guns and firearms as Americans both in terms of their culture and the law – both the general law and the laws in regards to customs. As always ignorance of the law is no excuse. Still if you follow the law, and stay with you will have no trouble. Your hunting trip at that pristine lodge in Northern Canada will remain the trip of your dreams and memories. Hopefully you will repeat your trip and return again and again.

Canada has introduced new firearms laws over the last number of years. These are intended to make Canada safer for both residents and visitors. No matter what you have to declare all firearms and weapons at Canada Customs when you enter Canada on your way up. To not declare the firearms, is considered a serious matter – then the firearms can indeed be seized and the holder may even face criminal charges. Along with your declaration of ownership of the firearms you may need the documents and documentation to prove that you are entitled to possess a firearm in Canada. In addition you will have to show that you can transport the weapons or firearms safely. Check the category and classification of your firearms. It is not always the same as at home. Some will fall into admissible categories some not. Remember that it the rule of the land of the law that matters- in this case you are in Canada, not the good old U.S.A.

Visitors to Canada can import non- restricted firearms for legitimate purposes such as sporting or hunting use during the hunting season , for use in competitions, in transit movements ( for example moving in a most possible direct transport route from point A to point B), and for personal protection against wildlife in remote areas of Canada. In all the cases above the firearms must be declared in writing. In the case of personal protection against wildlife, the Canada Customs officer must be satisfied that the circumstances warrant the firearm being imported.

Lastly in terms of ammunition, both Canadians and non-residents may import sporting and competitive ammunition for their personal use. However if they want to import hollow-point ammunition labeled for use in handguns, then they will need written authorization form Natural Resources Canada.

You can have an enjoyable and trouble free hunting trip with your favorite firearms. It’s a case of knowing the rules, following the rules assigned by the Canadian Customs rules. If in doubt – ask to make sure. You can never be too safe on a hunting trip whether it’s against wildlife or importing your firearms into Canada.
<fieldset><legend>About the Author</legend>
Lake Manitoba Hunting Lodges Manitoba Wilderness Fishing Blog Manitoba Lake Manitoba Narrows Hunting Fishing Lodges
</fieldset>

ATTENTION EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS
If you want to subscribe to this blog by email, be sure to click on the link in your emails' inbox to accept email from Tackle Shack News. Thanks for reading!

Tackle Shack
3737 Community Rd
Brunswick, Ga 31520
912-264-4665
blog@tackleshack.net
"looking for fishing and hunting supplies, give us a call to order or stop by our store"

Similarly looks like the common guns that you see today where you put a bullet in and shoot. It is the number one way to shoot something. When you see a black powder gun, Civil War era can come into your mind where you think of the buckskin clad hunters. Most hunters prefer to use this since it is more accurate for long distance shots compared to the traditional guns of today in fact they prefer this than the newer ones.
Today’s hunters are using black powders also known as muzzleloaders, because the majority of the states are implementing a muzzleloader gun-hunting season. In fact, over 200,000 permits were issued to muzzleloaders last year in many states. It’s also used for many years now. The name black powder was created in the late 19th century to make a distinction between the previous gunpowder formulations to the new smokeless powders and semi smokeless powders. During the 1890’s, black powder guns are referred to as gunpowder or plainly powder. It was only named black powder after the white powder was invented so that they can tell the difference between the two. Nowadays, black powder guns and muzzleloaders can be seen in many websites. It is very informative that it can even tell you what powder to use and how to make your own from a kit.
Smokeless powder may require precise loading of the charge to avoid damage due to overloading. Though such damage is still possible with black powder, loading can be performed by means of capacity than exact mass. Usually, high explosives are favored for shattering rock; however, since it has a low shattering effect, all the more that black powder can avoid breakage and thus resulting to more stones with good working condition as compared to some gunpowder. Consequently, the black powder was created to discharge stone marbles and granites which are normally used for monuments. Gun powders are usually used for fireworks. It is mixed with chemical compounds that can produce your desired color.
However, Black powder has fairly low energy density compared to modern smokeless powders and it can produce a thick smoke that can damage aiming or reveal a shooter's position. Black powder arms must be cleansed both inside and out to remove the residue. Its burn rate can be changed through corning. Through corning, it can compress the fine black powder meal into blocks with a fixed density. After that, the blocks are broken up into granules. Afterwards, the granules are sorted to size to give numerous black powder grades. Black powder uses sodium nitrates that can likely be hygroscopic not like the black powders where nitrate used is saltpeter. Since black powder can be stored unsealed and can remain feasible for centuries provided no liquid is ever introduced, muzzleloaders are known to fire after hanging on a wall for decades in a loaded state, provided they remain dry. Now, powder that normally use sodium nitrate that are intended for blasting should be sealed from moisture in the air to remain stable for a long time.
Gun powders have been classified as Group A or Primary Explosive substance by the UN Model Regulations on the Transportation of Dangerous Goods and National Transportation authorities. It is intended for shipment since it burst into flames so easily. Shipment of this item is under extra precaution since this can cause fire if not given extra care. Safety Measures are of top priority for Black Powder Guns.

About the Author
For more information on Blackpowder Guns please visit our website.

ATTENTION EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS
If you want to subscribe to this blog by email, be sure to click on the link in your emails' inbox to accept email from Tackle Shack News. Thanks for reading!

Tackle Shack
3737 Community Rd
Brunswick, Ga 31520
912-264-4665
blog@tackleshack.net
"looking for fishing and hunting supplies, give us a call to order or stop by our store"

And we have some new records to prove it!
Thirteen states posted new trout records in 2006, one of which is still pending for a new Junior Angler World Record. And British Columbia has two pending records for Rainbow trout caught with fly rods.
The first state to record a new trout record is Alabama. A Rainbow trout weighing 9lbs-1oz was caught by Otha G. Hamm in Mudd Creek in Tannehill State Park on April 22, 2006. This broke the old record of 7lbs-4oz, set in 2004.
Arizona also recorded two new Rainbow trout records as well a new Apache trout record. Arizona is one of those states that separates its trout records into different categories. The new Inland Water (Hook & Line) record for Rainbow trout was set in September 2006 by Harold Wright. Harold reeled in a 32.5 inch Rainbow trout weighing 15lbs-9.12oz) out of Willow Springs Lake.
Arizona also recorded a new Rainbow trout record in the ‘catch and release’ category. This record was set in March 2006 by Jeff Senn when he reeled in a 22.5 inch Rainbow trout out of Silver Creek.
A 20 inch Apache trout was pulled out of Christmas Tree Lake by Cameron Frieh in July 2006, thereby setting a new record. This fish was also released back into the water.
In January 2006, James Harold Cohasset reeled in a 28.33lbs hatchery rainbow trout measuring 33.5 inches in length in California. This set a new state record for hatchery rainbow trout.
Connecticut new state record for Rainbow trout is still pending. The fish was caught by Billy Lutgen in July 2006 and weighed 7lbs-8oz. It was reeled out of Norwalk River.
Colorado also has two new Rainbow trout records pending. Both records were caught by David Pesi in August 2006 and were pulled out of Big Thompson River in the Rocky Mountains. The first trout weighed 1lbs-3oz and the second weighed 1lbs-5oz. The second trout was also caught using a fly rod.
Idaho has a new Splake trout record, recorded in May 2006. It weighed 10lbs-12.48 oz, measuring 28.5 inches in length. Brian Allison caught it in Ririe Reservoir using a Frenzy Deep River Lure.
New York has a new Brook trout record thanks to Jesse Yousey. In May 2006, Jesse used a Lake Clear Wobler lure to reel in his 4lb-15oz Brook trout out of Five Ponds Wilderness area.
North Carolina recorded a new Rainbow trout record of 20lbs-3oz caught in Horsepasture River by Leah Johnson. Leah used a Rapala lure.
Vermont's new Rainbow trout record was set by Harry Hunt in March 2006 when he reeled in 13lbs-12oz trout out of Lake Dunmore.
Virginia boasted a new world record for Spotted Seatrout (Speckled trout) in January 2006. The trout, weighing 12lbs-1oz was caught by Barclay Shepard at Money Point.
Wisconsin's new inland water record for Rainbow trout was set in June 2006 by Will Lusthoff when he reeled in a 12lbs-3oz trout out of Elbow Lake. Wills' trout measured 29.5 inches in length.
And last but not least, Wyoming also has a new Tiger trout record, as of July 2006. Greg Salisbury’s Tiger trout weighed 1lb-10oz and measured 16.5 inches in length.
The International Game & Fish Association (IGFA) also has 3 NEW WORLD TROUT RECORDS PENDING!
The first pending world record is for a Brown trout caught by junior angler Christopher Miller in October 2006. His trout weighed 14lbs-9oz and was reeled out of Dry Run Creek in Arkansas.
The next two pending world records in the Fly Rod category and are for Bull trout. Both were caught in August 2006 out of Wigwam River in British Columbia, Canada. The first Bull trout was 10lbs-8oz (caught by Josh Splinter) and the second was 18lbs 8oz (caught by A. Matthew Eggert). Tippet sizes were different
Records are made to be broken, so here’s wishing you all good luck in 2007!

About the Author
Sherryl Masterman has over 35 years fishing experience for both freshwater and saltwater species. The largemouth bass in Florida tend to spawn in January through April. The large Florida female bass are easier to catch at this time of year because they are in the shallow visible cover which is most sought by the avid bass fishemen. The air temperatures in Central and South Florida average in the 60's in January and gradually warm to the 80's in April. These temperatures are not only ideal for the bass, but they provide the fishermen an memorable outing on the some of the best largemouth bass waters in the country.

The lakes are relatively shallow as compared to other states, often averaging 10-15 feet deep in the center. This fact allows the avid bass fishermen a greater chance for success since they can easily probe these depths with a variety of baits such as: Texas rigged worms, flippin baits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits and jerkbaits to name a few. The shorelines often offers cover in the 2-5 foot range which is ideal for the spawnig largemouth bass.

The main structure in Florida lakes are weeds, both submerged and emergent vegetation. The submerged variations include hydrilla, coontail, and peppergrass. Although these exist primarily underwater, their upper most stalks often lay on the surface and create a canopy which is often used by the Florida bass as ambush cover. The best techniques to use to fish this type of cover is: a- Throw a rattletrap and rip it through the submereged weeds, b- Work a hard jerkbait along the outside edge of the topped out weeds with a jerk-jerk pause action, c- A topwater prop bait or Zara Spook in the pockets and edges of the canopy can bring explosive strikes.

The emergent varieties of weeds include Kissimmee grass, cattails and bulrush. This type of vegetation is great for spawning fish. Work both pockets and points with a Texas rigged worm or tube. Sight fishing these areas can be awesome. Look for sandy areas and look as far as you can from the boat as the fish on these beds often spook upon your approach. Once a fish is sihted, stay back as far as possible and toss a Texas rigged worm of tubebait beyond the bed. Work the bait into the center of the spot, and create a twitching motion on the bait by jiggling the rod tip with very small motions. Try to keep the bait in the center of the bed and if you see the line twitch or moving sideways, immediately set the hook!

Pitching and casting weedlines in the winter months is also very productive. The bass are often staging to spawn and are cruising these lines. They also may actually be bedding, but due to the depth of the beds you may not be able to see them.

So if you have the itch to fish for bass, give Florida Bass Fishing a try and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

<fieldset><legend>About the Author</legend>
Avid tournament bass fisherman in Florida for over 20 years. http://www.floridabassfishing.us and http://floridabasslakes.com
</fieldset>

ATTENTION EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS
If you want to subscribe to this blog by email, be sure to click on the link in your emails' inbox to accept email from Tackle Shack News. Thanks for reading!

Tackle Shack
3737 Community Rd
Brunswick, Ga 31520
912-264-4665
blog@tackleshack.net
"looking for fishing and hunting supplies, give us a call to order or stop by our store"

All tests.
The benefit of using floating fishing line is its' durability and ability to float on top of the water. The line is great for live bait fishing with a cork allowing you to "pop the cork" with ease as well as other applications based on the strength of the line. Floating fishing line is usually thin in diameter but much stronger than monofilament. For example, 50lb floating line is equivelant to the diameter of 12lb monofilament.

ATTENTION EMAIL SUBSCRIBERS
If you want to subscribe to this blog by email, be sure to click on the link in your emails' inbox to accept email from Tackle Shack News. Thanks for reading!

Tackle Shack
3737 Community Rd
Brunswick, Ga 31520
912-264-4665
blog@tackleshack.net
"looking for fishing and hunting supplies, give us a call to order or stop by our store"
