How can anyone not appreciate cows!!  I mean, they provide us meat, milk and great entertainment.

Let me explain.

I love Angus beef steaks and burgers.  To me, this is the best beef out there.  I love a good Angus fillet for dinner and you can get great Angus burgers just about any where now.  I would love to get some for my freezer.

One of the things I wanted to do in my life before I met my maker, was to milk a cow.  When I use to help with Kindergarten children, we went on a field trip to our local dairy.  They brought out one of the cows for the children to see and their little eyes were so cute when they saw how big that cow was.  The farmer wanted to know if anyone wanted to milk her and no one raised their hand, so, I did!!  Believe me, its not the easiest thing to do, but I finally got the hang of it.  I will always remember that.

And finally, cows are great entertainment you know.  I love the cows that do the advertising for my favorite fast food chain,  Chick fil a.  If you live in the Atlanta area, where Chickfila started, you see some of the best billboards with cows all over them and the sayings are just hilarious.

I saw one that says This Space for chicken and you see the cows up there painting over the 1-800 number with their cow number.   The ones they have during election time are really cute too.

So lets send some love to our cow friends today.

I am the only one in my family, ok, I will throw my son in there, that enjoys being a geek!   I love my computer and figuring out ways to use it more.  I love reading about how to make my computer better and more efficient.  I read PC World from cover to cover and I talk about computers all the time.

NO ONE CARES!!!!!!

The hard part is when someone in my neighborhood needs computer help.  I try to explain what ever they need to know in layman’s terms, but I always get that “deer in the headlights” look from them.  So, I just fix the problem and tell them to call me if it acts up again.   They don’t want to know how you fix it or what makes it work, just get it to where they can work on their computer again.  I want them to learn!!!!!

There’s no one to talk to about my addiction.  NO 12 step program.  Not even a Bill Gates Recovery Hospital for my addiction.

So I will stand tall.  Be the best Geek I can be and hope, someday, that I can actually get someone to understand what I am saying.

I remember my son coming home from grade school one year close to Christmas with a Sugar Cookie recipe.  He had wrote it out all by himself and said they had sugar cookies that day for a snack and if anyone wanted to make those at home could take home the recipe.

Well, of course, we had to make those cookies and its the basic Sugar Cookie recipe, but just the two of us having fun together was all I cared about.  He realized very quickly that cooking wasn’t very much fun and that you could get cookies faster at the store.

I still have that recipe in my recipe box and will always treasure it.

I’m not really into the video game thing and I can’t believe that as much as I am into computers and electronics.  I use to watch my son and how he could play those games.  He made Paper Boy look really easy.  Just blew my mind.  I just don’t have the hand control for the controls.

I have heard the Wii is really cool and my husband has even tried it at his son’s house.  He actually liked it because he got to play baseball.   My mom has even done the bowling part and loves it.  Thats sad.  My 70ish mother plays with a Wii and I have never tried it!!

Anyway, I did use to play with the Atari, all those years ago.  The tennis game was all there was for ever it seemed like and I did like playing PacMan at the bowling alley.   I looked up to see when Atari came out and it was 1977.  Wow, I am old.  hehehe

I found Frogger so you guys could play along too.  Fun game.  I hope you enjoy!

Blog Prompt: Today is Chocolate Day. What is your favorite chocolate and when was the last time you had it?

I love, love, love, chocolate and I have it almost every day.  So, I thought I would look at the pros and cons of eating chocolate.

Should I or shouldn’t I eat chocolate?  Lets look at both sides of chocolate.

Cons - Fattening, too much sugar, not much on nutritional value as a candy bar and melts in your hand, toxic to animals, very addictive.

Pros - Cocoa or dark chocolate benefits the circulatory system, Other beneficial effects suggested include anticancer, brain stimulator, cough preventive and antidiarrhoeal effects, may stimulate the hypothalamus, inducing pleasurable sensations as well as affecting the levels of serotonin, an aphrodisiac, tastes great!

So, the conclusion I have come up with is how can anyone not find anything good about chocolate.  And by the way, I wouldn’t give my good dark chocolate to my dog anyway!!  I would choose dark chocolate over mild chocolate any day and it seems there are more benefits from the darker version.  And the idea that it might help my circulatory system, stimulate my brain a bit and causes me not to have diarrhea and the best part, could help me enjoy a nice night with my hubby!!

I conclude there is not darn thing wrong with CHOCOLATE and I must have it!!!
